Eileen Davidson Back For Some More Y&R!
Eileen Davidson was back to work yesterday at The Young and the Restless! According to Soap Opera Digest, some additional dates where fans will see the return of Ashley Abbott have been announced. They are November 27th and December 2nd.
And if you recall, Davidson will also return for a three episode stint starting on-air on October 25th on the CBS Soap.
Long time cast mate Eric Braeden (Victor) tweeted his enthusiasm on getting to work again with his former on-screen flame: “Worked with Eileen Davidson today! It felt like old times! She’s great to work with!”
Which brings us to several questions to Y&R fans: Since Davidson is popping up on-screen as the beloved Ashley, do you hope something can be worked out where the character stays put in Genoa City for a good length of time? Should Victor and Ashley somehow reconnect romantically one more time? What will happen to Victor and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) marriage when she admits the truth of who her long lost son is to Vic? Will this cause another ripple in their often times combustible relationship? Weigh-in!
Doubt Ashley will get any decent screen time now that this has turned into the DULLAN and Adam Hour.
I adore Ashley . Really would love for drucilla and Amber and Daniel to return. Sharon and Adam back together .
The desperate attempts from falling ratings with these current stories have just left fans wondering why they still watch this show and how much Bill Bell’s creativity and morals are missed. Yeah that’s right Chelsea you just wait for those eyes. You snake! Im sure if you let Chelsea near Johnny she’d have no problem ripping the eyes right out of little Johnny’s still warm body. When did Chelsea ever give a shit about that child? NEVER! Guess delia will save Johnny and Connor. With Chelsea and her schemes nobody is safe. Well. we know that Victoria will have a girl now. We see how well this worked out with Nick and Sharon. Nick left Sharon alone to have Faith in a hospital. Faith never did replace Cassie and bring Nick and Sharon back together. Nick only messed Sharon’s head up more! Giving a Abbott’s organ is a waste. Colleens sweet heart couldn’t save Victor’s soul from the Devil. We need fresh stories not sad crap!
I think Billy has gone through enough! Just like Sharon. It seems certain characters are always being put through the same hell over and over! Some how Victor or a Newman had something to do with everyones pain some how. Chelsea was a hooker in Myanmar Victor hired to [put something in Billys drink. She raped him had sex with him while under and then called police to say she was raped. The police threw Billy in jail and Victor got Billy out and gave Chelsea money and black mailed him to leave Victoria or he would tell about Chelsea. Then Chelsea showed up in GC pregnant with Billy’s baby. Chelsea was a bartender in Myanmar and spiked Billy’s drink and she brought him home to her hotel
Wake me up when it’s over. YawneR has that effect on me. Sooooo tired!
Hope that Ashley will stay awhile but her performance level on Days was top-notch. She plays a better villain than a sweet Ashley as she tends to be a bit boring in her roles.
Maybe ED needs her head examined! WHAT A WASTE!!!
The Victor Ashley ship has not only sailed it has capsized and sunk. Its time to make a commitment to Victor and Nikki as a couple. Them breaking up and divorcing and reuniting is so old hat and boring. Victor’s 15 marriages is just ridiculous. For Ashley to tread back into those waters would make her as certifiable as her DAYS character kristen.
Smart man, Johnny! I agree. Keep Victor and Nikki together now and forever and allow them to face trials and tribulations (and longlost children) together. Look, Nikki tolerated Victor’s affairs and such. Perhaps he could show one ounce of concenr for his ailing wife and this surprise son. The Ashley-Victor story was forever corrupted and ruined by Adam in his psycho phase. The more we distance ourselves from that mess, the better. It was not well played and no one really paid for their sins… on any front. Characters were sullied. Aaaarrgggh! It was bad!
I like an Ashley who no longer needs Victor or to be in love. Let her and her duaghter bond and let her become a powerhouse in the business world, and then let her find a genuine romance.
No offense here, but Victor and Ashley are neither young nor restless! give them stories that reflect that beautiful maturity and her intelligence.
As I said down below throw her into a storyline with Dylan, Nikki would go nuts. Nikki & Ashley use to have the best cat fights and ED can play a love interest for a younger man it would be fantastic to even see old man Victor go bonkers also.
Love is lovelier the second time around– but when it is the passes that number it is just sad. Even in the soap world there should be a limit on the number of times one couple can break up and reunite later on. So I agree Johnny– let Victor and Nikki stay together and act their age for a change, and leave poor Ashley out of it– that triangle has long gone dead.
I’d love it if she would ruffle Victor’s feathers. He has gotten just too cocky of late.
I am anxious to see how Victor is going to react to the news that NIkki had a child she gave up for adoption. Victor has been very judgmental of mothers of late, especially mothers who have given up their children.
I want her back on Days. I used to watch young and restless years ago, so I know her as Ashley. But Kristen is way better, Days will not be the same without her.
Kristen would have Ashley for breakfast!
Absolutely! Ashley and Kristen are like night and day. Hopefully she will come back to Days where she belongs.
It’s like Luke and Laura on GH. Enough already! Let them explore story with a different love interest.
Would love to see Eileen back on Y&R for along time!!! For Eleen’s sake I would hope she could do both shows if she wants too! Love the character Ashley Abbott!!! Love Eileen!!!
She needs to come back to DAYS. Kristen is far superior to Ashley!
I agree. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay better!!!
Bring Ms. Davidson back full-time! I will miss her as Kristen though.
I hope they write better story for her this time around. She has proven by playing Kristen on Days that she can deliver great performances when given the right material. They drained the life out of Ashley before she left Y&R.
You want to bring her back full time the story I would put her in would be a love interest for Dylan that would make Nikki’s toes curl and it might put some excitement in one of the most boring characters on Daytime First she takes her husband then she takes her son..
YawneR is feeding off of DOOL.
Would rather she stay at DAYS or try her hand at GH because those are the best shows on the air right now!
YES!!!
I love her on both shows: the elegant, dignified, intellectual beauty on Y&R and the devilish, insecure vixen on DAYS. I wish she could just go back and forth as storyline dictated. She’s a proven talent and asset to both shows, so maybe they can work around her schedule so we can all enjoy her talents, no matter which show we love. Welcome back, Ashley, even if it’s just for a little bit.
well said….
dang! wishful thinking
I wish she could just go back and forth as storyline dictated. She’s a proven talent and asset to both shows, so maybe they can work around her schedule so we can all enjoy her talents, no matter which show we love.
had to highlight – again.
I’m in a quandary… yes.. these daytime actors experience burnout… ie: due to the high level and demand of schedule
that being said….
judging from the SOD interview with ED
my take on the article…. “common thread” if you will…
“I just don’t know” and “I don’t know”
like she was expecting the role to be different… and her expectations didn’t pan out… I just got the impression … that she wasn’t altogether “happy” at DAYs….
that being said… as an actor… to play a role, like Kristen… on TV… versus Ashley…. you’d think Kristen would have won out
I am in a quandary about her decision… and I can’t not expect her to not spend quality time with her 10 year old son.
I’m stating this… as I’m such a staunch supporter of my DAYS
DAYS in the last year… emmy win notwithstanding…. is still a top draw… and for DOOL fans to say as much
I don’t think her departure will be that noticeable… well yes it will be… I think…. evenmoreso than Chandler’
as we need that Kristen character for mayhem, intrigue, DiMera Legacy… bitch, machinations royale… as ED is quality draw… man… hasn’t Kristen caused a whirlwind mayhem stirring in Salem… the menfolk are edgy and on guard. trysting with Eric, Brady, John… what’s not to like about what Kristen brings to the canvas
ED on screen… makes Nicole and Sammi seem tame
I so hope she finds it in herself to come back to Salem
DAYS and GH are on Fiyah
i always liked ashley, but i was disappointed she left..this is hear say, but someone said she used to be a man & you can see her adams apple..can someone answer this ? thanks
That is an ugly rumor! The rumor started when a talk show with transexuals
had a guest on that resembled E.D. Please help put that rumor to rest.
i think this was great,, i hope some day steve will come to waco, so we can see him.. he is absolutely the greatest..so chelsea gets her way again.. she got a man, but poor dylan was left holding the bag..its like we really know these people..God bless you all..keep up the good work..
THANKS ONCE AGAIN, FOR ALL THR HARD WORK YOU DO TO KEEP US ON OUR TOES..
She will be so missed as Kristen. When she plays Ashley, it’s like she’s half asleep but with Kristen, she is genius.
I may be alone here but i want Eilleen on GH! Yes as Julian Jerome’s ex or maybe even as a Jerome family member….. can you imagine Eillen looking straight in Sonny’s eyes as she tells him: Don’t you ever think you can mess with my family? oooo how that would be good
It seems like Angelica is wanting this actress back. Every time they announce she’s coming back she tweets…otherwise she’s pretty quiet when in comes to her number one show in her lineup.
I’m excited, but would be more thrilled to her she’s back on contract in the role she originated.
Love ED!
It looks like ED is crazier than Kristen!
You bet…
Crazy good!
Can’t wait until her stuff starts to air!
Welcome back home Ashley!
I think that Eileen Davidson should go back to DOOL (if they’ll have her). I mean…Y and R is turning into an unnecessary and out-of-control BLOODBATH because of that heartless Jill Farren Phelps. And, besides…I think that Kristen is a far more entertaining, dimensional and complex character than Ashley. KRISTEN TRULY ROCKS!!!!! I’m just saying………..
“Oh! More than saying”
…it’s the truth
sorry about Y&R… it stinks, period.
save for Adam….
Kristen is a far more entertaining, dimensional and complex character than Ashley.
I Love You, Eileen
I do not think she should go back to DOOL because she languished at YawneR
a couple times before DAYS showed how her talent talent could be utilized.
She was deflated at YacKeR and pumped up at DOOL. I urge DAYS viewers
not to follow her to Y&R. Our chains have been yanked!!!
DAYS did nothing but appreciate her talent and now YawneR wants to benefit!!!
Well, yay! BUT, GH sprinkles some of their vets in and out of stories and I find it annoying! Ashley is either in or out? Bring her back full time and let her and Victor find each other again or have her and Adam hook up. That would get the mustache twirling! She is an Abbott and that is an important character for Jack to have around. He bounces stuff off Kyle. Jack is wasting his breath. Kyle is a clueless underwear model! You need money to sign Ashley.?Cut out the whole Winters family. They are boring and irrelevant!
no no no. do not bring her back. she has been married to almost every man that has ever been on the show, and now she is flirting with stitch that is young enough to be her son. . no more syrupy sweet Ashley.. please.
