On Monday, after more cast members were revealed who will appear in Peacock’s upcoming streaming series, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem, came a photo from limited-series star, Lisa Rinna (Billie) posted to her Instagram Story of Eileen Davidson from the hair and make-up room where it looks like Days of our Lives is taped and said, , “LOOK WHO I FOUND”.

As the rumors began circulating it became true when Davidson took to her own Instagram and revealed that she too is part of the limited-series event for Peacock, and now the question is, how many roles will Davidson be playing? Will she be playing Kristen DiMera and Susan Banks, or any other of the Banks siblings?  Time will tell.

The two-time Daytime Emmy-winning star shared a clip of her time on the NBC soap as Kristen and stated: “I’m BEYOND excited to be joining BEYOND SALEM! Streaming soon on @peacocktv”

So, what do you think of Eileen also being on the upcoming Days limited-series? Let us know in the comment section below.

For the love of all that’s unholy, let her be Kristen and NOT Susan. Or any of the other Susan family.

It would be a great thing to see the REAL Kristen again.

The one thing I’m worried about with her & Lisa Rinna both involved is that ReRon will use this to promote their stupid “reality” show, which I have never seen, will never see, and couldn’t give a cherub’s pink ass about.

But ReRon tried to write this lowest form of “television” into General Hospital when he was there, so I wouldn’t put it past him.

I like the way you think, Satan. However, I’ll take Eileen any way I can have her—be she Kristen, Susan ( in small doses), Ashley or any other character.
But, I do object to “reality” anything. Most of all?? Lisa Rinna. Can’t stomach her in any role. I break out in hives. One of the most pretentious woman I have had the displeasure of watching in any venture/venue.
I will not mention who THE most outrageously over-the-top, plainly stupid, entitled, child-like woman in Hollywood is.

Interesting news! I know many many fans wanted Eileen back in the role(s). And, I’ve loved Eileen in all her memorable roles on DAYS, especially Kristen and Susan. However, I really miss Stacey in the role of Kristen, and the show has sabotaged the character. I really thought Kristen would change her ways when her daughter was born and the true identity of Rachel was revealed but no, the show decided to have her kidnap Sarah, then, break out of prison and cause further havoc on Chloe, kidnapping Lucas and Sami, and Kate, too, right? I think I got that all right. I really loved Stacey’s gracious and loving depiction with her daughter- the daughter she always desired. Then, DAYS does havoc on the Kristen character and writes her off again after she is caught posing as Susan.
How is Eileen’s return to this spin-off necessary? Why the change in actress, yes the role(s) were originated by Eileen? Was Stacey not available or did the show invite Eileen for a short-term gig? How is she supposed to be in story when she’s behind bars? I don’t see her just coming back to be Susan or any of the other characters. It’s got to be that mean, mean, mean Kristen DiMera, the head vampire. I’m happy we will have Eileen returning … but for a short gig? Why not just have consistency with Stacey in the role, unless DAYS has bigger plans for the Kristen character and will write her back into the show itself, perhaps – it’s a comeback return. Though, I have mixed reviews about it. Way to stick it to Stacey when I believe she’s done a very fine job in the roles. Much love to Stacey- welcome back Eileen. I guess she is the head vampire.

Kristen isn’t behind bars. She escaped from the police station. Her whereabouts are unknown.

I actually prefer Stacey Haiduk (SP?) as Kristen!

So excited for her return.

YAY, I’m beyond excited too!!

The one and only REAL Kristen, Eileen Davidson to reclaim her trademark role
No one can replace her!
Days tried it with her role and Y n r tried it with Ashley. ( although Brenda Epperson and Stacy truly were great stand ins)
Thank you soap gods!!
This Days spin off is sooooo what my soap dreams are made off, first Carrie and Austin, then the suprise recast of Sonny with Zach Tinker ( who should never have been let go from Y n r) to Eileen?!!! Toooo good!!

Zach Tinker was technically never “let go” from The Young and the Restless. He was always billed as a recurring-guest, which means he is not entitled to definitive work. Did they underuse him? Yes. But was he let go? Not technically.

Maybe
However it was very odd he was no longer on once Mal Young was replaced with Josh the snore Griffith. Fenn was situated in between Summer and Lola and even Ana( another mistake to be let go) and a thorn in kyles side. When the headwriter switch happened it was clear he was replaced with Theo. A much cheaper version, And we know how that worked out…

It will be interesting to see what role E.D. plays in the limited series. Stacy Haiduk has been phenomenal as Kristen and Susan, I hope she remains in the roles.

Sorry, not going to waste my money signing up to watch this 5 episode arc on Peacock. I’ve got my money invested in other streaming. The sad thing is that this writing team has done nothing with the M-F network show to motivate me to pay to watch something unwatchable.

I’m reasonably certain you can watch Peacock for free. It might have more ads than the “premium” version, but still less than what you would see on NBC.com (when Days used to stream on there)

Monday on Entertainment Tonight, the second set of nominations for the 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced which included the highly-coveted Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series – Actress and Outstanding Daytime Talk Series.

ET followed suit after Extra announced the nominees, as previously reported, in the Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series – Actor and Outstanding Daytime Talk Host.

Now, five leading ladies of the soaps are vying for the gold for Lead Actress and the category marked the first-ever nominations for CBS daytime’s Beyond the Gates when two actresses made the final cut. Only General Hospital is not represented among the actresses this year after Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) took home the trophy last year.
