Monday on General Hospital, six-time Daytime Emmy winner and One Life to Live star, Erika Slezak was introduced to viewers in her new soap role of Veronica “Ronnie” Bard.

Ronnie is the younger sister of the late Dr. Monica Quartermaine who comes to Port Charles at a very questionable time after her sister died, when she never visited her in over 47 years. Such is the basis of the story that will pit Slezak against GH veteran, Jane Elliot as Tracy Quartermaine.

Access Hollywood was at GH during Slezak’s first tape week when they visited ABC Prospect Studios where the show is filmed. Since that time and as previously reported, Erika has already wrapped her stint in Port Charles. Even though she worked approximately three weeks worth of scenes, the legendary star will be seen on the series for several weeks to come.

Asked what she thinks about being a part of the history of GH, after 41 years on One Life to Live, Erika shared, “It’s a wonderful show and I’m proud to be a part of it now. It’s a little part, but I’m proud to be a part of it.”

Meanwhile, Access Hollywood also got to sit down for a few moments with 2025 Daytime Emmy Gold Circle Inductee and previous Emmy winner Jane Elliot as she teased the dynamic between Tracy and Ronnie.

“It’s juicy. It’s really, really juicy,” explained Elliot. “To see two older women going at each other is, I mean, when I first came on the show Monica and Tracy were adversaries. So now to play 45 years later, the same kind of adversarial relationship, it’s full circle. I think the audience is going to go crazy.”

As it turns out, Erika’s husband, Brian Davies is a huge fan of Sonny Corinthos played by Maurice Benard, so, of course, coming up Ronnie will share some moments with Sonny. As Erika recalled, “I walked in the bedroom one day and I said, ‘Watching, GH?” He said, ‘Yeah, well, I have to find out what happens to Sonny.’ He’s obsessed with Sonny.”

The most emotional moment of Slezak’s visit was getting to see her former TV son, Chris McKenna, who when they both appeared on One Life to Live, he was a young boy. While McKenna got choked up talking to the camera about his reunion with Erika. She was overwhelmed, in the best way possible, “When I saw him today,” Slezak noted. “He’s this unbelievably handsome, tall, gorgeous guy with his own family, and I thought my little Joey, full circle.”

So, what do you think of the remarks Erika and Jane shared on their upcoming story, Erika getting the chance to reconnect with Chis McKenna, work with Maurice Benard and more?  Check out the Access Hollywood segment below and then weigh-in.

I know what Erika means about Chris McKenna. He will always my favorite Joey. Chris was perfect in that role and did a wonderful job. I’ve seen some of his work before he came to GH. Whenever I see him a tear come to my eye and I’m so proud (like I had anything to do with it) and I think, “My little Joey is all grown up.”

Watch Ronnie with Tracy and all the other Qs will be amazing. I can’t wait.

The scenes between Erika and Jane were nailed by 2 consummate pros in the business. What I wouldn’t give to have this kind of classic soap action every day!

Love her and LOVE gorgeous Chris McKenna

Ok, here’s my take on Ronnie, she’s really Victoria Lord. Yep, she’s Victoria Lord who is again going through “another” episode and has assume the identity of Veronica Bard, whom she met while visiting a Diner. The real Veronica Bard will pop up and be played by another soap icon(Kim zimmer is my pic), and no Monica did not leave her her house, so let go GH, let Erika Slezak bring back her iconic character to Port Charles, once she realizes she really Victoria, she buys Deception and GH sets up another battle royal with the Lords VS the Quatermaines, and to top it off another Erica drops in, the one the only Susan Lucci, and while in town visiting she has heart problems and checks in GH has to have surgery but refuses to let anyone else operate on her but her ex David Hayward whom just happens to be the Devine Anna Devane ex husband. Can we get this storyline going ? lets go GH.

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”

Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Take a look at the official GH spoilers for the week below.

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
