Erika Slezak Puts $1.8 Million Dollar New York City Apartment On The Market!

The New York Post has an item on six-time Daytime Emmy winner, Erika Slezak of One Life to Live.  It is notable for two things:  the first, that Erika is selling her historic apartment at 50 W. 67th St. for $1.82 million.  As savvy longtime OLTL fan know, that apartment was right around the corner from the series long time digs at the castle-like building which housed the studios for OLTL for decades on W. 66th street!

The second notable thing in the piece from the “Post” is that they don’t have their facts straight! And it would be best for reporters who don’t know what is going on in the genre to research things a little better!  They say, “Slezak played Victoria Lord since 1971 on One Life To Live until it ended in 2012. She is now back to playing Victoria this year, in an online revival of the show.”    Well, as we know, Erika is no longer playing Victoria since the revival of OLTL has now been shelved!

Back to the apartment:  Slezak’s two-bedroom, two-bathroom co-op is in the Musician’s Building, a brick and terracotta structure that is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, as part of the West 67th Street Artists’ Colony Historic District, a group of early-20th-century buildings created and financed for artists.  The prewar apartment includes a woodburning fireplace; a large living room with built-in bookcases; a renovated, windowed, eat-in kitchen with a wine refrigerator and an all–in-one washer/dryer.

So, what do you think of the apartment Erika is selling, it’s an end of era, isn’t it?  And, what do you think about the misinformation in the article?  Weigh-in!

It seems they can’t get even the little things right when it comes to soap actors. Recently I saw Kristen Alderson’s bio for her appearance at the 2013 Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade and it said that her brother Eddie, “plays “OLTL’s” Matthew Buchanan.” Well, not since January 2012, but whatever.

And why should it matter? I mean, they’re only the hardest working actors out there… and getting zero respect as usual.

I know she is from the east coast but id love to see Erika on one of the four remaining soaps!

Dina abbott needs to come back on the young and the restless. if marla adams doesnt want to come back, recast her with marj dusay ex alexandra guiding light or erika slezak ex viki one life to live.. both are terrific ladies, and they can act really really well.

I like all of them…if you like Marj Dusay have you ever seen her in the 1960s pilot ‘A Darkness At Blaisedon’? She played a young woman named Angela who inherits Blaisedon, a haunted mansion and she hires a psychic investigator who learns Angela bares an uncanny resembalance to a ghost named Melinda who once lived there! It was produced by the late Dan Curtis who created and produced the daytime gothic/horror soap ‘Dark Shadows’ during that time. I found a copy on vhs…dont know if its on dvd or blue ray!

I would love to see Dina Abbott play a role on Y&R’s storyboard again. There is unfinished Abbott business and it would boost the presence of the family, even if it was a chestnut of a story abotu a secretly dying woman eager to make peace with her children and grandchildren. Think about it!

I’m all for Dina Abbott returning. However, my choice is another veteran from another cancelled soap: Elizabeth Hubbard. Hubbard is great, could really stand her ground against Eric Braeden’s Victor, is age appropriate for the role, and physically resembles Peter Bergman and Eileen Davidson enough that she realistically could be their mother.

If Erika came to Y&R, I would totally start watching it again!

Get it girl!

I wouldn’t call necessarily called it misinformation. PP never actually made an official announcement that OLTL has been cancelled. The only official announcement they made was in September about OLTL being on hold during the litigation against ABC.

I don’t discount the possibility that OLTL may indeed never coming back. But in the eyes of someone who works in the New York Post and who has no idea what’s going in the soap press, the only mainstream information they have is that OLTL has been put on hold. They have no idea that OLTL has de facto been cancelled recently. So it makes sense for them to say that Erika is still playing Victoria Lord because the only information they have is that the show is only on hiatus, regardless whether in reality it returns someday or not.

I agree!

Good point.

Maybe the article was written before they were actually shelved………and no one bothered to fix it. That’s not the big thing here…….it’s that she probably wants to leave the city since there might not be a renewal….I don’t blame her. Maybe she can’t afford it any longer since she won’t be woking. Whatever the case she is a class act……….and I miss her and all the people associated with OLTL. I don’t like to give in and call it a day. But it looks like that’s the way it’s heading for these beloved show.

Joanne, at first i thought the same thing and was really disappointed, but then thought of the possibility that she’s in talks with one of the other 4 remaining soaps, all of which are on the W. Coast. ***fingers crossed**

It could possibly mean that Ms. Slezak is planning to move to the West Coast. The character of Vicki Lord lives in PA, maybe the character will turn up in not-too-far away New York on General Hospital. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of the character, and most certainly other offers for mature characters would come to Erika Slezak from the other existing soaps most of which on done on the West coast. I wish her well in any event, she is a truly GREAT actress ~

Guess she feels she no longer needs to hang on to the apartment now that she no longer works in NYC. Makes sense.

Could be wrong but, I thought Carolyn Hinsey wrote for the NY Post. Maybe they could have fact checked with her?

Thanks for the heads up. I’m calling my broker as we speak to put in an offer. LOL

Any show should try to scoop her up she is so classy

Ms. Slezak and her husband actually live in a beautiful home in Connecticut, not too far from the studios where the Prospect Park version of “OLTL” was filmed. They lived for many years in Port Washington on Long Island, where my older brother used to wait on her at the local pet store years ago.

I assume the apartment was a pied a terre for her to use while filming “OLTL” but now it doesn’t make much sense to pay the maintenance and taxes on a co-op she probably hardly uses anymore.

I don’t know if I can share links here, but this is the article from a CT. lifestyle magazine that I saw the article about Erika and her home:

I remember when OLTL was going to begin production in Stamford, CT and Slezak had a home near the studio. People sell and buy homes all the time.
If Erika still lives in CT and somehow OLTL finds its way back online or cable, hopefully Erika will be here to reprise the role she made famous.

In the meantime, she would be an asset to any daytime drama left on the air. Of course, I am partial for her to join GH and Frank and Ron would utilize her talents and expertise to the fullest. She’s a powerful actress. Wouldn’t it be great if she was a member of the Jerome family and wants to overtake ELQ and have some battles with the great Jane Elliot. Or another relative of the Cassidine family? The possiblities are endless. Watching her on OLTL for 25 years, I would definitely love to see her play a completely different character than Viki. Some of her best material is when she played her alters.

Well, good luck to Erika and her family on the selling of their home. My fingers are still crossed for a OLTL return.

so sad apt on market it means either downsizing or moving out of state? We just need One Life to live back on !! Hopefully she’s moving to Conn where filming should commence !

I hope she’s moving west to be on something.

Forgot to mention… I hope we don’t have to endure seeing the RIP sign next to OLTL and AMC. I can’t bare to view that again.

Michael maybe you can create another icon on the website legendary soaps instead of the peace sign.

Just saying.

Guess times are getting rough for the OLTL alumni. Be nice to see her get picked up by GH.

This is confirmation that she has moved on from OLTL. I believe she has a home in Connecticut, not too far from where they filmed for the online version of OLTL (Prospect Park). I do hope to see her return to daytime one day, possibly GH. I feel bad for the actors who were committed to seeing the revival succeed, and to have their jobs taken away again, it’s too much. I understand the actors needs to move on. She’s a classy woman and a great actress. I miss the feuds between her and Dorian, and of course her alters, Nikki Smith was my favorite.

I continue to have a strange feeling her character will somehow possibly show up at GENERAL HOSPITAL. Victoria Lord lives in Landview, PA and that’s not so terribly far from N.Y.’s GH, it doesn’t seem so unlikely that her character will resurface there. Of course, many of us hope One Life to Live will return, since there was no “official” cancellation (well, technically) – but as the months drift along I think our hopes wane that it will.

1.82million for a TWO BEDROOM APT??? umm damn..LOL

In New York City, apartments are sky-high. A friend of mine has a one bedroom studio, nothing to brag about, and it’s worth about half a mil. in New York.

‘General Hospital’ Alum Colin Cassidy to Appear in Ryan Murphy’s ‘The Shards’

Ryan Murphy‘s anticipated new series The Shards, based on Bret Easton Ellis‘ prep school thriller novel, will premiere August 5 on FX and Hulu, as well as Disney+ and a very familiar face is set to appear within the series, when General Hospital alum, Colin Cassidy (ex-Aiden Webber, formerly known as Aiden Spencer) took to his Instagram to reveal the exciting news.

Colin shared, “I’m super excited to share that I will be appearing in Ryan Murphy’s The Shards premiering August 5th on FX, Hulu and Disney+!  I will appear in episode 5 as Rohmer, a fun lovin’ party animal with a secret! I had a blast working on this project and I can’t wait for you all to see it!”

Cassidy played the role of Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Lucky Spencer’s (Jonathan Jackson) son on the ABC soap opera on and off from 2024-2025.

The character was written off the canvas to explain Lucky’s sudden decision to travel abroad and leave Port Charles in June of 2025, Aiden went with his dad to get to know him better. During his run on GH, one of Colin’s most memorable scenes occurred when Aiden came out to Lucky after his father had been away for over a decade.

WHAT IS ‘THE SHARDS’ ALL ABOUT?

As for the The Shards, it’s a dark coming-of-age tale with semi-autobiographical facets for Ellis. Set in Los Angeles in 1981, the story follows a 17-year-old version of Ellis during his final year at the elite Buckley prep school. Upending the character’s world is the arrival of a mysterious new student, Robert Mallory, whose unsettling presence coincides with the activities of a serial killer known as The Trawler.

According to the official loglines: “Igby Rigney stars as Bret, an aspiring writer and keenly observant teenager whose reality begins to unravel with the arrival of a mysterious and magnetic new student, Robert Mallory (Homer Gere, the son of motion picture star, Richard Gere), Transferring in just before his senior year, Robert’s appearance coincides with the growing terror of The Trawler, a serial killer targeting teenagers across the city.

Alongside Bret is his elite social circle, which includes Susan Reynolds (Kaia Gerber), Debbie Schaffer (Hayes Warner) and Thom Wright (Graham Campbell), a glamorous and deeply entangled group drawn into a life of wealth, beauty, parties and excess. The promise of their youth is contrasted with the dark and cynical world of the adults surrounding them: Terry Schaffer (Wes Bentley), Liz Schaffer (Evan Rachel Wood) and Steven Reinhardt (Jordan Roth).

So, are you looking forward to seeing Colin Cassidy in The Shards? Do you hope that General Hospital brings Aiden back to the canvas with or without his father, Lucky? Let us know via the comment section.

‘General Hospital’ Writes Maxie Jones and Her Family Off The Show

Published

on

By

Kirsten Storms

The answer to what General Hospital fans have been speculating about for months has come to a conclusion, for now.

On the Thursday, July 23 episode of the ABC daytime drama series it was revealed in story that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), along with her man, Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and her three children, Georgie (Lily Fisher), Bailey (Miley and Riley Plonski) and James (Gary James Fuller) are headed to Australia to live after Spinelli received a job offer he couldn’t refuse.

However, the message of the status of Maxie and her clan, came from none other than Cody (Josh Kelly) during a conversation where he explained that they were all packing up to head to the land down under the following night and they were just “itching to get out of Port Charles.” In addition, Maxie has divested her shares of Deception Cosmetics and sold them to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).

IS THERE A FUTURE FOR MAXIE TO RETURN?

All of this paves the way for the series to deal with the longer absence of Kirsten Storms who is back in Tennessee and not having her figure into any immediate storyline.

While the family uprooting themselves to Australia certainly doesn’t look like any return in the near future would be likely, the series can always decide down the line and take their time of what to do with Maxie, if Kirsten Storms, should never return to the role or they would decide to recast, if needed.

This does complete Maxie’s story for now. It was back in February of 2026, that Maxie came out of her coma and was reunited with her family and saw her believed-to-be husband, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) back from the dead, who later proved to be Cassius Faison. Storms comeback lasted about a month and by March she was no longer on the series.

It was back last month in June that Storms took to Instagram to share that “As for what is in my future, where GH is concerned…. Given what’s been going on, I can’t say I will feel comfortable heading back to Los Angeles and returning to work.”

All of this stems from her reported break-ins to her apartment, the hacking of her devices all occurring in Tennessee, coupled by the restraining order served to her by her ex-husband Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny, GH and ex-Stefan/Jake, Days).

So, how do you feel about General Hospital writing out Maxie Jones with a sudden move to Australia, taking Spinelli and the kids all seemingly off the canvas? Do you like the way this leaves a door open for Maxie to visit or return to Port Charles one day?

Do you think the series should honor the work Kirsten Storms did in the role and not recast, or should they recast down the line? Let us know via the comment section.
