On yesterday’s, May 23rd episode of Tamron Hall, ESPN sports personality, Stephen A. Smith was a guest for a special interview, while Smith was at his second home away from home, General Hospital.
Smith, plays the recurring role of Sonny’s tech expert/’henchmen’, Brick, on the ABC daytime drama series. Stephen A., who is a longtime fan of GH, shared with Hall just how lucky he is to be given a chance to have a Port Charles alter-ego. Since 2016, the powers-that-be have found ways to keep Smith’s character returning to the GH canvas to help out his pal, Sonny, when the mobster is in dire straits.

Stephen expressed: “I’ve been blessed and fortunate because I do scenes primarily with the star of the show. And we’ve developed an incredible friendship, Maurice Benard (Sonny) and myself. I can’t tell you the amount of times that he’s pulled me to the side and he sat down with me and he’s embraced it and he’s like, ‘Here’s where I want you to go.’”
In caring moment, Benard was sensitive to a real-life event that happened in Smith’s life … the passing of his mother. Smith shared, “I remember there was a scene where he (Sonny) had lost a relative and literally he said to me, ‘I don’t want to offend you here,’ and he brought up losing my mother in 2017.”
Maurice, then gave Smith some acting advice, “I need you to go back to that moment. I need you to embrace how you were feeling at that moment in time.’ He said, ‘I’m only coming to you because I know you can. I need you to do it.’ And that was exactly what I did.”

The longtime ESPN host and journalist, also released his autobiography, Straight Shooter earlier this year. When Hall questioned him on how he has persevered through the years, Smith admitted that it’s about, “Longevity … thinking about smelling the roses. I’m not one to sit around and smell it, but I want to do things and associate myself with things that allows me to know that I’m reaping the fruits of my labor.”
As to his crazy schedule, Stephen admitted, “I’m still going to outwork 99% of the people out there. I don’t stop. I’m a machine and I know it and I’m proud of it. ”

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Who Will Turn Out to be Trina’s Biological Father … Curtis or Taggert?
May 30, 2023
This week’s episodes of General Hospital are set to deliver some needed results and some bombshells. First, Victor’s will is read, but, in true GH fashion, the evil Cassadine delivers his reading via a videotaped message of himself in a return appearance by Charles Shaughnessy,
Meanwhile, Trina (Tabyana Ali), Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Portia (Brook Kerr) have all been awaiting the DNA tests results to prove that Trina is the biological daughter of Curtis, not Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) .
At the same time, Curtis is moving back in with Portia, after his lip lock with his ex-wife, Jordan (Tanisha Harper).
Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina are at the center of both storylines, because Uncle Victor probably left something behind for Spencer, while Trina will be dealing with the fallout from the DNA results.

As to Kristina’s story, it is revealed that Kristina is building an LGBTQ+ youth shelter with the help of her father, Sonny Corinthos.
