FIRST LOOK: New Will cast on Days of our Lives!

Here’s a first look image of the new Will Horton played by Chandler Massey.   Soap Opera Digest is reporting that  Massey replaces Dylan Patton in the role and has already begun filming at DAYS.  Check out this new photo of Chandler with his on-screen mom, Sami played by Alison Sweeney. 

Will’s dad is Lucas played by Bryan Dattilo.  We wish Chandler best of luck in his new digs in Salem! According to SOD, A DAYS insider said, ” We just felt they needed to make a change with the story coming up.”  Wonder what that storyline could be that faciliated the actor switcheroo?

Wow. Ali does not look old enough to be his mother. They really need to be careful about aging kids when they have such youthful mothers.

He really does look like he could be Sammi and Lucas’ son, although I agree with the age issue! I did like the old Will, but his mop of hair kept him looking so dour all the time. Or, maybe he was? I’m all for looking hip and courant, but when your hair hides your emotions, change your hair.

At any rate, congrats for the new cast member.

I agree, they totally look related more brother and sister though…but at the same time the previous Will looked like Lucas and not Sami so now its visa versa…whatevs…When will the episodes with the new Will start airing?…ps does anybody else think that it might look awkward if they have this actor and Mia dating since she looks so young?

DAYS, GH and Y&R Receive WGA Award Nominations For A Daytime Drama

Three of the four network soaps received nominations in the category of Daytime Drama for the upcoming 72nd annual Writers Guild Awards.  Nominations in television categories were announced on Thursday.

The annual scribe-fest is based on voting by 15,000 WGA members, and awards will be handed out in coinciding ceremonies in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton and in New York at the Edison Ballroom on February 1st, 2020.

The eligibility are shows within the 2019 calendar year.

The nominated writing teams competing in the Daytime Drama category are as follows:

Freddie Smith and Chandler Massey Interview – Day of Days 2019

Days of our Lives stars Freddie Smith (Sonny) and Chandler Massey (Will) chat with Michael Fairman at Day of Days 2019.

During the conversation, they discuss the latest developments for WilSon with the series innovative time jump, which finds Sonny grieving a year later for the loss of his mother Adrienne, and that his husband Will is apparently the responsible party and in jail for her death.

In addition, Will was in for a surprise when his cellmate turned out to be the man that strangled him to ‘death’, Ben Weston.

However, in one of the funniest interviews during the Day of Days event, Freddie and Chandler reveal what really will happen next for WilSon (sort of, kind of, not!)
