Those of you who missed and loved Oliver Fish on One Life to Live, and the work of Scott Evans, were concerned over recent developments where Evans last year was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after he tried to buy some off an undercover cop in Los Angeles!

However there is good news today from TMZ.com that the case against Evans has been dropped mainly because of Evans good behavior and attending 60 Narcotics Anonymous meetings.  According to the report, “Evans had struck a plea deal with prosecutors back in January in which he agreed to plead guilty — and in exchange he would have to complete 60 NA meetings.  Well, Evans came through — and earlier this week he proved he completed his obligation in just 6 short months. In exchange, the judge dismissed the case. “

So what do you think of the news on Evans’ case being dropped?  Would you love to see Scott get an opportunity to return to the new One Life to Live?

I wish him well but he is a grown man who knew what he was doing and shouldve known better…i do not concern myself with foolish people who get involved with drugs, especially when they know its wrong, seen what happens to others including possible death and yet think nothing bad will happen to them so they do it anyway! The drugs out there isnt the problem…its the idiots who take them. He got off too easy…these people will most often make future attempts. Its happen in my family and ended tragically. I may sound harsh but ive experienced it…most of these people will never learn no matter how hard you teach them drugs are wrong. Some might…but still not enough!

You sound like a stuck up prude…..Just because someone does something that you don’t agree with doesn’t make them less of a person…..It’s wrong to judge other people, but you have no problem with that…Sorry you had such a screwed up life because of drugs, but that doesn’t mean everyone who uses drugs is bad…

I didnt take drugs…maybe you need glasses…i said a family member did…how many times do we read someone gets arrested or dies from drugs…100s of times…the message is clearly out there that drugs are wrong and dangerous…my relative died from drugs…yet others hear and read this everyday and they still do it anyway which makes them an idiot…i never used illegal drugs nor have broken the law…and you call be a prude…why because im not foolish to break the law or do drugs(i love my life and dont intend to waste it)…you call me a prude because im a law abiding citizen who lives a clean drug free life? Why you are the biggest idiot around. P.S i didnt say he was a bad person..i might even like him if i met him…i said he’s an idiot for being a grown man who should know better and YOU should too.

I agree with u jimh 100%…Hopefully he keeps going to go to these classes…fromwhat i have xperienced is. U come back to the same atmosphere and same people there is a good chance it will happen all over again…Move away start somewhere fresh……Seen it happen 2 many times…

He didn’t get off easy, he got the standard ‘punishment’ for a first time offender. Counseling/therapy, community service, good behavior for a length of time = charges dropped.

Just because something happened in your family – does not mean it will happen that way for everyone.

Sure what happened to my family wont happen to everyone but is taking drugs worth that risk when there is still a chance it could?

I never loved nor missed him nor that douche Brett Claywell (who dissed daytime when he didn’t get an Emmy nomination in 2009).

Both are losers in my opinion.

ALL THE BEST TO HIM .HOPE HE CAN DO IT. I DON’T WANT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO CORY ,HAPPEN TO HIM.AND I’D LOVE TO SEE HIM BACK ON OLTL.

So we are praising a guy who bought drugs off a undercover cop? Sorry he should have done time like everyone else .

And what would he likely be doing right now if he hadn’t gotten busted??…..Exactly.

I loved the Kish story, but I’m not feeling a whole lotta love for Scott – I do wish him well though.

Like I said on another comment: He didn’t get off easy, he got the standard ‘punishment’ for a first time offender. Counseling/therapy, community service, good behavior for a length of time = charges dropped. Like most everyone else.

Good I’d like to see him put the drugs behind him and get back to acting. Then he can again be a positive gay role-model.

Loved him on OLTL – hope he stays away from the drugs. Good Luck to him.

I think he should be given a chance and be hired back. I think he made a mistake that he didn’t think through and took his punishment like a man. He could have plead mot guilty, done time in jail, and came out worse. Be strong Scott. Go down the right road, too many have died way too young because they were too weak. Wish you the best.

I am thrilled for him and very proud, I know it wasn’t easy! We have all made mistakes, it is what we learn from them and how we move forward that builds charector!

Good to hear. Hopefully he learned his lesson. And hey, if Robert Downey Jr. can go from multiple arrests and stints in rehabs to being one of Hollywod’s top paid actors, Scott definitely deserves a second chance.

And I’d love to see Kish again someday!

Scott played one of the most beloved characters on OLTL. It was a sad day for fans when he and his partner comprising “KISH” were let go. I personally would be very happy to see him on nuOLTL. (Perhaps his brother Chris from the Fantastic 4, Captain America, and the Avengers could put in a good word for him!) I wish him the very best.

Glad to hear he was able to comply with the court’s orders. Now he can get on with his life. Would LOVE to see KISH stop by Llanview for a visit, or longer! 🙂

glad to hear scott is doing well. i hope we see him soon. on another soap. he is a terrific actor. he is human. people make mistakes all the time. he is a nice looking gay man. i always loved his acting. say no to drugs. it kills people and ruins families. im gay. i came out 2 years ago. have been offered drugs. i said no thank you. i like the clean living. like walking running and working out. love my soap operas and yes im addicted to days of our lives general hospital, bold and the beautiful and the young and the restless. im starting to like the new one life to live and all my children again. they need cameron mathison susan lucci and michael knight back. hopefully soon.

I enjoyed the Kish storyline, but there are many actors/characters I’d prefer to have back before revisiting this one. It played out and we had closure. I’d rather see John McBain, Jessica Buchanan, Roxy Balsom, Kelly Cramer, Tina Lord, Rex (no Gigi) and on and on and on…

Bennett’s Hallmark Channel series finds itself in tough competition alongside fellow nominees: RuPaul’s Drag Race (MTV), Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix), Survivor 50 (CBS), Top Chef (Bravo) and The Traitors (Peacock). In addition, Jonathan himself is nominated for Best Show Host and the series participants as the Best Ensemble Cast in an Unscripted Series.

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) revealed the nominees for the eighth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards on Thursday, which recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”

In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.

It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.

Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

You can check out the full list of Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations here.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?

Published

On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.

As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.

Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.

BROTHERLY LOVE?

Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”

With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”

BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE

Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.
