Last weekend, we shared the news that General Hospital alum and Daytime Emmy winner, Chad Duell (ex-Michael Corinthos) was releasing his first single today on June 26th and it has indeed dropped! And for those readers who guessed that Duell’s first track out of the gate was going to be an EDM/Dance/House track … you are correct, sir!

The song entitled, “If You Need Me” is perfect for the late night clubs and can be found on Spotify and other major streaming platforms! Duell is noted as the performing artist, but as the composer/ lyricist and the beatmaker of the track. For his music projects, Chad is going solely by the name of “Duelly” which has been his social media handle for years.

Taking to his Instagram on Friday, Duell explained his deep dive into making music, expressing, “I’ve wanted to make music for a long time… I just never did it. It always felt like this huge, overwhelming thing to learn. All the technical side of it, the programs, everything that goes into actually building a track… it was easy to keep pushing it off.  A couple months ago I finally just decided to go for it.”

BIT BY BIT PUTTING IT TOGETHER

Chad added, “Since then I’ve been putting in a lot of time learning, experimenting, figuring things out, and slowly starting to find a sound I’m really proud of. This first release is more of a dance/EDM vibe, but I’ve also been working on a lot of different styles behind the scenes that I’m just as excited about. At some point I realized I could keep holding onto everything trying to make it perfect… or I could just start putting music out and grow as I go.”

Stepping out of his own way, Duell firmly says, “So that’s what I’m doing.  My first track “If You Need Me” is out now. More coming soon… this is just the beginning.”

As GH viewers know, Chad made the decision to step away from General Hospital after a 15-year run with the series where his last episode aired in January of 2025. By May of last year, the role was recast with Rory Gibson debuting in the part.

Give a listen below to Duelly’s “If You Need Me,” and let us know what you thought of it via the comment section below.

How do you say something sucks without being mean?

I was just going to say the same. Sucks!! Sounds like a girl. Lmao

He sure does

Love it………I can dance to it.

It’s not my cup of tea at all, but good luck to him.

Love it good for him!

It is definitely that generic, 2010s club-popcorn-EDM-house-trance sound everyone was trying to do. Not my cup of tea. But happy that he is doing something for himself.

To paraphrase… don’t quit your day(time) job. Oh wait, too late for that.

That’s a whole lotta auto tune.

He should stick to acting!!

Not my cup of tea just to slow but I do wish him lots of luck.

That’s awesome! Very good compilation! Well done!

Terrible. Not enjoyable at all

Use your own voice!! Was not great keep trying

Wonder if we will hear it as background music at The Savoy

I don’t listen to this type of music but I’ll completely support Chad with this I listened and I can vibe to it in my pool! Follow your dreams Chad! And looking good!

Oh Chad, forget doing music and stick to acting. This song is horrible and it sounds nothing like your voice, so over processed and over produced. Your future is in acting, not music

Are you singing because i couldnt hear you go back to acting

Huh? What? Who? Why? Like he has a mouthful of marbles.

Velvetta

left a great job for this

No!

The beat is definitely the club vibe. The only person singing that you can hear and understand is the female. Him singing, sounds like he just woke up. Not a fan of it, not into the groggy, whispering type. I hope he comes out with music where he is actually singing. The beat is definitely there, but actual singing would be nice.

His acting was fantastic.. Although his replacement is even better. His singing is so airy. Not a fan.

It’s ok it sounds like 90s music come back to G H please…..

Love this dance music

I didn’t read the article until after I gave the song a listen. It surprised me. I don’t know why I wasn’t expecting EDM/Dance music from Chad, but I liked it. It had its own uniqueness. Good luck to Chad in his future music endeavors!

Ummm, better luck on your next endeavor, Chad.

Different and unique vibe. I heard three different people on that single and I recognized Chads voice (listening skills). Great actor. Live your dream Chad. Keep living your best life. Good luck with the singing dream. Try reaching a bigger audience on your next music drop.

Good beat but over processed. Where’s his real voice?

I’m sorry this not even a club song to slow, they use the original song that the girl singing and added him into that song. I love CD but this not for you

It seems like most commenting here are missing what Chad is doing. I hear this as his venture into creating music as a DJ. He may or may not be the person singing on the track, just like Calvin Harris, Tiesto and other DJs. Lots of quick judgement here. As someone who appreciates EDM, I think this is pretty solid.

Please, he never spoke in a falsetto and I suggest he should not ‘sing’ in one either. IMHO this type of music is so phony, that anyone could cut a record for a club. Back in the Disco Era music had a dance beat, musicians, performers, and singers. If they didn’t, then they had no career.

I love this song! The background music gives me energy! I do not understand the ugly comments though, maybe thats the fans still angry from his leaving GH. I do have to say the voice sounds female but so does Justin Beiber. I thought it was a female background singer at first. I would purchase Duelly’s music!

Um. No.

This might be a bit, um, 15 years ago. Kind of reeks of Madonna … trying to stay relevant for some reason.

Love this absolutely great..Don’t care for the negative people leaving negatively. WHY feel the need to post negative.

‘General Hospital’ Favorite Kirsten Storms Gives Update on Apartment Break-in That Caused “Unnecessary Custody Case”

Published

By

Kirsten Storms

Kirsten Storms (Maxie, GH) is sharing more details on the December 2025 apartment break-in and the difficulties she has had with the Tennessee police, plus how the original incident, according to the actress, played into her ex-husband, Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny, GH and ex-Stefan/Jake, Days) filing a restraining order against her and the custody case involving their daughter, Harper.

The popular actress had played GH’s Maxie Jones on and off since 2005, after coming to the ABC soap opera following her run as Belle Black on Days of our Lives. As GH fans know, Storms last appearance on General Hospital was back in March of this year. In recent episodes, the character of Maxie was written-out along with her entire family and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and relocated to Australia.

Now, Kirsten explained via Instagram and with shared photo of the December police report, which indicated Storms had placed a call to the Franklin Police Department to report a break-in at her Tennessee apartment. The report states that Storms was away from her apartment for about a week in August of 2025, and when she returned home, she found damage to the deadbolt on her door, as well as other missing items.

KIRSTEN STORMS SPEAKS OUT ABOUT CUSTODY CASE OVER HER DAUGHTER

Then, Storms fired back at naysayers in the ongoing comments on her break-in situation, stating: “Please do not tell me (or ask me) not to post these things. I’m hoping this is the last item I post (of the documents I have on the break-in at my old apartment in Tennessee). I’m only doing this because that lead to an **unnecessary custody case** being filed against me.”

It was back in April that TMZ learned, through obtaining of court documents, that Barash cited Storms for having mental health issues so he filed a restraining order against her. Kirsten expressed in her latest post, that she was asked to meet with a mediator in the custody case for her daughter, not a judge, and that her mental health issues were being used against her instead of people focusing on the break-in.

Storms added, “However, the break-in … followed by a ‘custody case/now mediation request’ where the break-in was the main reason for the initial custody filing, was unwarranted.”

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH CHECK

Kirsten also shared on her health status,”I have always been proactive about my medical care (all aspects), as well as Harper’s (<—— the MOST important person to me). I’ve also been attempting to get checkups with a neurosurgeon/neurologist for my brain aneurysm and brain cysts. And tbh, I have a psychologist that I’ve seen for years, who I’m kinda attached too. She’s f’ing incredible and understands the kind of therapy sessions I need. Addressing what should NOT be the focus (mental illness), is frustrating for me”

You can check out Kirsten’s latest post on the custody matter, and her ongoing battle over the apartment break-in while in Tennessee below.

Now let us know, glad to hear from Kirsten and hear more of her side of the custody story and her ongoing issues with this apartment break-in? Let us know via the comment section below, and if you miss seeing her on-screen on General Hospital and hope one day she will come back.
