General Hospital and Dynasty Star, Emma Samms Shares Her Battle With “Long Covid”

Photo: JPI

While General Hospital fans have been curious to find out just what is the true fate of Holly Sutton who is believed to have died, sending Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) on a mission to find out just what had happened to her, Sutton’s portrayer, Emma Samms has been going through her own difficult time since testing positive for the coronavirus back in March in the U.K.

Samms was never hospitalized for her symptoms related to the virus, but according to a report and interview with The Times, she has been suffering from long bouts of tremendous fatigue, where even small tasks like talking on the phone or doing gardening have become difficult for her.

Emma revealed, “This panic-inducing level of fatigue has been less startling and immensely compromising … and it fluctuates. I improve slightly, have a couple of good days, and assume I am on the road to recovery, only to go right back to feeling horrendous.”

The popular actress has a condition currently called “Long Covid”.  However, researchers and doctors  who are working closely on COVID-19 are still unsure why certain people have been unable to recover, nor how to treat the condition, which mimics Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

The actress who first became soap famous for GH, later appeared on the original ABC version of Dynasty as Fallon Carrington.

Send your thoughts and well-wishes to Emma during this difficult time, as we know many General Hospital fans would love to see her back on the ABC daytime drama series as a very much alive, Holly.  Comment below.

My favorite person to play Fallon Carrington. I love Elizabeth Giles but Samms was what made me love that character. I never watched GH when she was on years ago but I enjoyed Holly when she came back this last time. Get well Emma!

I like everyone else in the late seventies and early eighties was a huge GH fan. When Holly and Robert became a couple I was thrilled. I thought it was a much better pairing than with Luke. With that being said, I was always a fan of Emma Sammy’s and I followed her to Dynasty as well. Stay strong Ms Samms Take care of yourself. Your fans are wishing a haelthy and speedy recovery

First and foremost, a miracle recovery for Emma, for sure! They seem to be setting up a story where Robert searches and finds Holly. I would love to see this play out on screen and give Robert a “Happily ever After!”

I remember being around four years old and watching “Holly” on General Hospital. She was my favorite character back then. I thought she was so beautiful and I loved her accent. Now, she is being ruined by the “Parking Lot Putrid Poet.” Why must the wonderful veterans be ruined in order to lift up Mr. Laura Wright? He has ZERO talent! & he’s such a suck-up. It’s so blatant what a fraud he is-

Wishing her well.

I really thought her character of Holly would show up alive once Robert went searching for her. Now I wonder if she’d be up to it. Without Emma, I wouldn’t want to see Holly back on the scene.

Tyra Banks Exiting ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Yesterday, Tyra Banks dropped a bombshell when speaking with a reporter from TMZ, while out for a stroll.

Banks shared that she’s not going to be returning as host of Dancing with the Stars, and has decided to focus on the business and entrepreneurial side of her career, plus producing behind the scenes entertainment projects.

Thus far, there has been no news of the next season of the series, although it’s expected to return.  In addition to Banks, dancer Mark Ballas along with the previously announced departure of dancer Cheryl Burke, leave the show with some shoes to fill.
