GENERAL HOSPITAL: Anna Reveals Faison Is Alive!

Courtesy/ABC
On yesterday’s episode of ABC’s General Hospital, Anna (Finola Hughes) is blindsided at her office by her arch-nemesis Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Agent Sloane (Robb Derringer)!
Yes, Dr O’s blackmail attempts worked once again and this time on her daughter Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), who changed her mind and decided to help Agent Sloane nab Anna for her “rogue tactics” with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) for supposedly killing her father, the notorious Cesar Faison (Anders Hove)!
Agent Sloane, who has come to Commissioner Devane’s office, reveals that Faison isn’t at Steinmauer Maximum Security Prison, and firmly lets her know, no one, including her, is above the law!
After Anna is apparently cornered by Obrecht and Sloane, and after she is handed a a subpoena and is told to get a lawyer, Anna says that none of this is necessary because … Faison is alive! And … the episode fades to black!
So, how many of you knew that Faison was truly alive? Where do you think Anna and Robert put the treacherous man? Does this mean a return visit to Port Charles for Faison could be on the way … or in the works? Share your thoughts below!
Not another Faison arc….ugggghh
well, unless Faison grew a few inches, doubt he’s Fluke.
I’m with you on yet another Faison arc though. As much as I love the actor who portrays him, it lacks originality to bring him back over & over & over again!
Faison was wearing lifts in his shoes, because you know it’s all about the base.
This whole “Get Anna Devane ” story is just stupid. She may be the head of the worst police department in TV history but now they paint her as a criminal?!?!?
GH is a criminals paradise, Im really starting to tire of all the violence and fake deaths.
I’m with you, Rob. The Faizon “It’s alive !!!” revelation is no surprise. I think we all sort of suspected that this weirdo just won’t die, as so many others on GH.
Could he be Fluke? Is that why he is missing from the dungeon?….or whatever those fallacious catacombs are supposed to be. Or is it that Ashton bloke?
Regardless, as you say, This storyline is stupid. Anna is the criminal? The concept is so infantile, perfect child-play. Inasmuch as I am entertained by both Liesl and her ‘soul mate’, all their past and present crimes will be perpetually swept under the rug. Don’t get me wrong….I love Dr. O…I never tire watching her or listening to her speak….She actually called Anna a ‘scarecrow’. I died laughing. And, just the sight of Faizon’s face enveloped in that cloud of crazy hair cracks me up. But, by the same token, I would love to see a splash of reality come into play once in a while. And, that other imbecile who has come to bring Anna to justice is a joke. Really, are we to buy this drivel? C’mon, now, PTB….chop, chop….do not prolong this idiocy….before Thanksgiving, yes?
Terming Faison as the “weirdo that just won’t die” is stunningly accurate, CeeCee! I really couldn’t stand that fearsome-faced freak until he was paired with the outrageous Obrecht….together their “Bickersons” act was an absolutely raucous laugh-riot. Hence, if the demented Dane’s return to Port Charles allows Liesl to once again pine for this proverbial perp in person, then it should provoke just as many pleasing departures into the altogether absurd as the first time around. However, I, too, am less than impressed with the notion of “Anna as the criminal,” although since it currently provides a means for Dr. O. to restore her maniacal mojo, I can live with it for the time being. Did you notice the frisky frau’s eyes alight with delight at the mere mention of her beloved Cesar’s survival? Talk about being “crazy in love!” That phrase was tailor-made for Liesl!!!! I’m hoping for a heaping helping of hilarious hijinks between these two “les terribles” once more…..yet, I’m still not certain how all this segues into the “Fluke” scenario….it truly would beggar belief if the show runners attempt to pass off Faison or even (Not A) Lord Ashton as the misanthropic miscreant…Moreover, I remain intrigued by the comment made to Luke about keeping him locked up in case the imposter ever needed a kidney….that implied a familial link, so that should definitely eliminate either of those aforementioned reprobates as the curmudgeonly culprit. Plus, one has to remember that when “Fluke” first came on the scene, he was ignorant as to Britt’s identity during that lascivious quip about her at the engagement party. Hardly something Faison would do….Ashton, perhaps….but I am not convinced that he is going to be the actual face behind this far-too-protracted plot…..unless there is another revisionist allowance made: Recall that Julian said he met “Fluke” when they were in protective custody together and never knew his actual name….as that goes back an age, it would seem unlikely that either Ashton or Faison could fill that bill….it sounds as though it has to be someone living with Luke’s physical features, not just a masked man impersonating Spencer. Having said that, yes, I am with you in that this nonsense needs to wrap up and soon. It has gone on long enough.
ditto. much like Sonny never will spend an entire life sentence killing a man in cold blood. Same with Ava who point blank shot Connie.
Obrecht finally going to have her Caesar back. I just feel sorry for Nathan being stuck in this mess. I hope he survives it and comes out a better man for it.
I knew he was alive
Well I knew. Anna wouldn’t do that. I think that’s partly why she’s so unsympathetic to Duke and his claims that his hatred for the Jeromes was enough justification for him to lie for Sonny.
I think their shooting him was to knock him out and he’s with Robert in “Wisconsin” 🙂
Will I hope once Anna revealed what she had done with faison I hope this agent try to nab in for all the criminal acts faison has put Anna through plus crazy liesel, how could GH make Anna criminal when she was the one been violated plus her kid all her life from faison and making him look like he his a victim, that be pour bull if this happen, they better not!!
Never thought Anna and robert killed him, would be too much out of Character. She may have wanted to and he certainly deserved it. He’s in Duke’s Turkish prison cell
Do FrankenRon really think we want to watch Faison return to destroy Anna again. ? They have beat this dead horse one to many times for me. First they turn Anna”s police into the keystone cops again. Carley goes free and WE KNOW Sonny will not be in jail long, and Faison returns. Obrecht wins again. Re-Ron rides again. Wash, rinse and repeat.I am sorry but this is not the GH I had watched for yeeaars.
In your ”we”–
I am a Faison fan and I would love for him to return and have him and anna go at it again..
Anna and Faison are arch enemies, they never die.. their purpose is to face off..
Which one will win is always exciting..
and–
Anna has never been ”destroyed” she is strong and prevails as the heroine she is 🙂
su0000 you are so right… Anna and Faison are great. Finola Hughes and Anders Hove have had precious few scenes together, all told. I could watch Hove read the phone book (or listen, I guess) but I much prefer him going at it with her than with Luke as Herr Krieg or whoever.
The problem is they can’t have many scenes together because Anna wants to kill him so badly, although that hasn’t stopped Obrecht from staying in town. So they could solve that problem easily.
Good post, Su…right on !!
“…Anna and Faison are arch enemies, they never die.. their purpose is to face off..Which one will win is always exciting.. ”
there you have it… all the redux repeat and entangle
it’s just when two fine actors prevail
and in Dr. O and it’s entice
I didn’t think they killed Faison off; he’s a fun/crazy villain like Helena. If they start killing everyone off there’ll be nothing left of GH as we knew it. However, they’ve got to come up with something pretty horrendous that they DID do to him…since Robert and Anna insinuated numerous times they had to make sure he was gone once and for all and it was this big, bad, shared secret.
And so Britt’s recurring status begins…
I don’t think anyone thought that Anna and Duke killed Faison..
Really, who would even believe that?? ..
I think everybody knew that Faison was alive..
I knew it lol …
I hope anna gets in serious trouble, it is her turn to be in hot seat..
and- it would be great opportunity for Finola Hughes to shine ..
I don’t want to see her in the hot seat…not after Dr. O (though I do love her!) got off for holding Robin captive, stealing Ben/Rocco and assorted other crimes. Anna is the victim…over and over and over by Faison and Dr. O…I’m rooting for Anna for the win.
As for the missing Faison…I must admit I can’t figure out the connection between Jerry, Fluke and Faison. I’d have thought maybe they did the ridiculous and Faison was Fluke…but that would be one mask too many. And, supposedly Robert (did she say Robert?) has been checking sporadically to make sure Faison was in his little hole in the ground…
Of course, Faison is alive. *sigh* I respect all the GH team is doing to keep daytime vital in the yes of corporate boradcasters, and the talent on said team is amazing. Truly!
Still, I can no longer engage in the current run of outlandish tales. It’s just not for me right now. This longtime fan will tune in from time to time to catch my favorites among the actors and enjoy those performances, surely, but I need a good break from the depths of madness in Port Charles.
Obvious that RC is going to make Fake Luke really Faison and here is the kicker Ander Hover/Faison is 5 ft 9 TG is 6ft 1. So using a mask or plastic surgery is just blatantly stupid.
Maybe you should keep the channel on whether you watch or not…for the ratings. c’mon…we’re in a fight for our soap lives doncha know!!! 😉
I prefer good storytelling to all of the madness lately. A little madness is okay, but lately it’s gotten a bit overwhelming. Reminds me of all the effects studios are now jamming into movies because they either don’t know how to tell a good story anymore, or don’t trust a good story to hold an audience’s interest or build box office anymore. Especially with the younger demo they are looking for.
I hope Anders Hove comes back as Faison. Faison is creepy, funny and wonderful to watch. He is a terrific actor.
After forty plus years of watching soaps I stopped believing anyone is truly dead on a soap a long time ago– they could have shot him with a thousand bullets, blown him up to kingdom come, or put him in a bat of boiling acid– and I wouldn’t believed he was dead— so no this is no shock to me—the only mystery is where and what did they did to him— in my fantasies he would have been stranded on a island with hundreds of Dr. O androids tormenting him day and night a la Star Trek’s I Mudd episode in the original Trek series– that would be hilarious.
Never saw the Star Trek you’re referring to but your visual alone is hilarious. I’m hoping the never say dead applies to Sean Kanan/AJ one day…
I don’t know about SK coming back, but if AJ was still alive it would solve most of Sonny’s problems if the man he “murdered” wasn’t dead— so I wouldn’t put it out of the realm of possibility as the means the writers will use to get Sonny out of jail.
LOL ,,
the ”Mudd” episode, was great!! Faison would far well, no doubt!
soap people do not die, never..
They can be cremated and yet live..
It is not about just bringing them back, it is the journey of how they do it..
It is the story that raises the dead and the twists and turns that brings them back that is genius….
and that is what it is about, the resurrection journey !
I’m a fan of raising the dead… great stories!!
However some do stay dead if they passed in real life, if not they are not dead just absent ..
so, you’re saying there is still a chance for Stavros & Victor to be alive too? Why, of course!! lol…. you’re right, no one ever stays dead, even when they die right before our very eyes on a death bed!
Just have to say what a great idea from one Trek fan to another. Live long and prosper.
“…in my fantasies he would have been stranded on a island with hundreds of Dr. O androids tormenting him day and night ”
Laugh out Loud moment
@Rebecca stated… I’m with… who’s behind all this… “Jerry, Fluke, Faison, Ned’s father… ” how will all this pan out… it’s a riveting play
I have to give prop to Shay and, I think, k/kay… who are just as much in admire… Jerry Jax… he’s a constant deliver mind span triggers imagination… Yikes! I like him
4 serial plug : fan salute
Right back at ya, Patrick!!!! ; )
I did think that Anna might have reached a breaking point with Faison after years of torture, and had actually killed him. It would have been a stretch for Anna to have done so, and if she is telling the truth that he is alive, I am happy that her core principles prevailed. I think Anders Hove is a great actor. Loved him as Beetlejuice, but I’m not aching to see him back creating havoc for Anna just yet.
I knew they wouldn’t kill Faison off. He’s one of GH’s best and purely evil villains, I knew they would bring him back eventually. I think he’s also in cahoots with Helena and Jerry, and might be responsible for holding Robin captive again.
What would have been a great comeback for him is if, when Robin and Jason were escaping Creighton-Clark, Faison walked through the door instead of Helena. That would have been awesome.
Ok… first I love my GH… and I get we have to “expand our minds a bit” as viewers but to have to believe that Anna and Robert has Faison in a dungeon in the floor of a barn is absolutely ridiculous… like they left him in the Cassadine barn? What now the servants have to feed and bathe this prisoner? WHHATTT? LOL….
Anything that potentially brings Anders Hove as Faison back to GH is a positive to me. He’s one of the best villains in soap opera history, and the good ones never die. So I knew he was never really dead. The battles between Anna and Faison are timeless. It’s just a shame that Robert is still stuck in “Wisconsin” and won’t be able to join in on whatever the next adventures might be. I’d love to see Faison get involved with Helena Cassadine and Jerry Jacks again, the possibilities are endless!
All I have to say is as usual Tristan Rogers is sorely missed here. TPTB screwed up in not securing him long term. With that being said, most likely they stashed him locally, Catacombs most likely. But no doubt when they get there he’s gone, but will resurface soon. Hopefully when TR can return, both Anna and Robert will kill him in self defense and will end the nightmare he has brought upon their lives.
Larry is really going to be Faison. This show is a joke.
i’m going to hold judging this storyline scenerio and see how it plays out, i’m glad Finola is on air more though, but like i said, i’m going to see how it plays out.
I didn’t think Anna and Robin had killed Faison, but I DID think this was going to be a long, drawn-out story in which this agent tried to pin murder on Anna and we were “treated” to weeks or months of Anna being tormented, her reputation attacked/assassinated, etc. I am glad we were spared that.
I did think the scene in which Anna taunted Liesl by pretending to be Faison in an Anna mask was hilarious—but other than that, this storyline has been a total bust in my book. So this agent found a file belonging to Victor saying Anna and Robert had killed Faison—and he didn’t even question it, given whose file it was? Yeah, right, whatever. I guess they didn’t teach critical thinking skills in his WSB training.
Yeah !!!LOL, Michael.
I think this is a fantastic story. Finola Hughes is getting in some brilliant performances and a lot more air time ~ something everyone was clamoring for, BTW. I find nothing wrong with bringing Faison in and out of the story line as need dictates. Andres Hove is a great actor and plays to history with Finola’s character. Ron and Frank have continued to draw from the show’s history; this is certainly a continuation of that. Like I said, I think this story ~ in fact, all of them ~ are firing on all cylinders. GH has me sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what the heck is going to happen. You may think you know what’s going to, but they throw in curve balls left and right. Story lines plays out over a greater amount of time just like they might in real time. And frankly, I’m just so happy to have this gem on my TV each week day. Geesh! I don’t understand how people find so much to gripe about when I see so much to be thankful for. GH rocks!
I agree, Rod. It’s always fun, if nothing else. And having these familiar faces still part of daytime…which is a clock-ticking bomb waiting to explode…is what fans of soaps need to keep in mind. One day the genre will be put in a historic time capsule for future generations who will view soaps like we view silent movies…as an interesting bygone era….
fan salute, Rodd
excellent, nice, all cylinders post
bringing back Anders Hove.. to catapult Anna Devane and Dr. O entreats LIVE show
kudos to GH production for knowing excell
I complain lovingly, as I’ve finally learned how to read the current writers. I’m pretty much used to them now. I don’t love all the villains on the show at the same time, but I don’t totally hate them, but if they’re going to be there it must be RC writing them. I also like the way he writes The Q’s. I’ve always felt his style would fit great in that mansion & it seems to be working great. Finally some airtime for Monica!
It’s a fun show. They excel at cliff-hangers, and shocking twists & they do them constantly, not just on Fridays or sweeps! Sometimes I wonder if the complaining viewers realize how hard that is.
It’s not perfect, but the things they do well they do really well & it’s improving all of the time. GREAT cast!
I was hoping that Faison was still alive 🙂 I can’t wait to see Anders Hove again on screen with the Anna and Dr. O!
Im starting to think that Faison, Jerry Jax, and Helena were cats in a past life although I think they are all individually past 9 already. Even though I just want to slap her, I find Nina and franco to actually be a breath of fresh air. Am I the only one who feels that bringing back those three over and over and over again is getting really old, really fast?
For whatever reason viewers never want to accept that someone died. Being surrounded by Jimmy Deshler fans that wanted to bring him back and being convinced that if they tweeted to Frank and Ron enough if would happen, was just crazy. Although I did not mind Jimmy, I can’t say that I miss him on the show. The viewers didn’t know how or where to take his story, so they just killed him off. He could of admitted to having a drug problem and then he could of went off to rehab, until more story in their eyes opened up.
We surround ourselves wanting the dead to come back to Port Charles, We also surround ourselves with other immortal things, book and movies. No surprise that the writers feel that is what viewers want.
At this point I am sick of the constant need to bring Jerry and Faison back. It is just completely and utterly boring. Lets get some fresh material.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do?
