‘General Hospital’ Icon Anthony Geary Pays Tribute to One of His Greatest Scene Partners, the Late Tristan Rogers

One of, if not the greatest scene partners of all-time on the soaps was General Hospital’s Luke Spencer and Robert Scorpio, played by the 8-time Daytime Emmy-winner, Anthony Geary and the late Tristan Rogers.

Sadly, Tristan passed away last Friday on August 15th at the age of 79 following his battle with lung cancer and since that time, remembrances have been pouring in from Rogers’ co-stars, past and present, and the daytime community, at-large.

When GH was in its heyday under executive producer, Gloria Monty, not only did she bring Geary to General Hospital, but later Rogers, when the two were paired in scenes during the Ice Princess storyline in the early 80s. The banter between Luke and Scorpio was always something to look forward to, and in fact, many of it seemed to have been ad-libbed which Rogers confessed in an interview with Michael Fairman TV, which was part of his acting regimen while playing Robert with his co-stars.

The reclusive Geary, who now resides overseas, retired from GH back in 2015, but made one other brief appearance again in 2017. He shared with TV Insider, his heartbreak and admiration for Tristan Rogers and the on-screen ‘best buddy’ relationship the two created.

Tony began, “Tristan was an enigma — comfortable enough to create a man of mystery. Working with him was an experience that I could always rely on to be funny, exciting, challenging, and infuriating – a perfect day’s work. The fun thing about working with Tristan is that he was unpredictable, always good for throwing in a surprise or taking a scene in his own direction. I always liked that.”

The approach Geary and Rogers took to their material was something Tony reflected on in his remembrance: “Tristan is one of the few acting partners I’ve had that we didn’t discuss the script much. Because whatever was in the script, no matter what we were given, we were going to do it — not word for word, for sure, but we didn’t challenge the Luke and Robert relationship. For us, it was like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but Tristan and I took turns being The Kid. It was a classic relationship with a couple ne’er-do-wells, who knew the worst about each other, but for the most part, remained friends anyway.”

In tribute to his longtime co-star, Tony closed his sentiments with, “It’s been a long while since Tristan and I worked together, but then again, it seems like just yesterday. Tristan was a character. And he’ll remain a character to me. Not just Robert Scorpio, but Tristan himself — he was the bigger of the two characters. That’s a good memory.”

Now below, let us know your thoughts on Anthony Geary’s touching words on working with Tristan Rogers through the years below. Then, check out some of their scenes together from 1981 during GH’s Ice Princess storyline, and if you think they were one of the greatest duos of all-time on the soaps in the comment section.

The timing and dedication of these two to their characters was unmatched. In today’s budget conscious environment when it’s usually only done in one take, the lack of spontaneity and freedom to go off script hinders this type of talent.

A truly heartfelt remembrance from Geary.

And here I am, sobbing again. Wonderful comments from Tony Geary. RIP Tristan

Way beforeSonny and Jason were being praised for their Bromance, Luke and Robert were the OG of male bf pairing, and their crew were much cooler then Sonny and Jasons.

I was wondering if Tony was going to make some remarks. I’m relieved he did. I absolutely loved their ad libbing dynamic and I feel blessed for the fun moments they gave us. I am grateful for the YouTubers that have supplied those old episodes for us to re-watch.

Robert and Luke were two charismatic, exciting, witty and smart characters who just crackled up the TV screen with their combined energy. My grandmother, who was working at that time, lived across from my middle school, and I would sneak into her house during lunch just to watch these two. For me, it wasn’t Luke and Laura-it was Luke and Robert.

You said it! LnR was fantastic!

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason and Britt Break Up After Realizing They Can’t Trust Each Other

Published

Jason and Britt

Trust issues were cited as the reason for the break-up of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) on the Monday, September 14 episode of General Hospital, ending the their complicated romance once and for all.

The episode began with the pick-up of Jason and Britt’s argument over Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) at the Quartermaine boathouse. Britt is in disbelief that Jason continues to take Anna’s side, and that he will not back her up as her witness, as she wants to report Anna’s attempted murder of her to the PCPD.

Jason tells Britt that Anna had been pushed to the brink through the mental torture she’d endured while held captive at Wyndemere, and accused Britt of doing nothing to save her, when she knew exactly what was going on as she was at Wyndemere as well. Britt told Jason that she’d been a victim of Sidwell and Cullum too, and by the time she figured out what was happening to Anna, they had moved her somewhere else.

BELIEF SYSTEM BROKEN

Then, Jason clearly lets Britt know he doesn’t believe her version of what transpired. An enraged Britt fires back at Jason in disbelief, that he is siding with Anna instead of her, when he was on Mount Emerson and saw for himself how Anna was planning to kill her. Suddenly, Britt wants to know if Jason would have helped Anna cover her tracks, if Anna had killed her.

Next, Jason argued that Britt seemingly needs to believe Anna would have killed her when he knows deep down Anna would never have murdered her. Jason thinks Britt is trying to absolve herself of her own guilt and complicity in keeping Anna locked up.

Britt shouts “You need to believe that! Otherwise, you’d have to admit that your friend is unhinged and dangerous. And she would have killed someone you say you love!” Now at a complete impasse, Britt walks out on Jason realizing they don’t trust each other and calls it quits.

PICKING UP THE PIECES

Later, Jason finds Carly (Laura Wright) at the Metro Court, and while in an elevator fills her in that he doesn’t trust Britt, and that as much as he loves her, he doesn’t trust her like he does Carly. Britt is back at the hospital.

A concerned Tristan (Dean Geyer) tries to talk to her about what transpired with Anna. However, Britt clams up and walks away from any discussion.

Now in the General Hospital teaser video for the action on Tuesday, September 15,  Jason ask Carly (over beers and a game of pool) “When you lie for a living, how long before you start lying to yourself? Take a look at that below.

Let us know, are you glad that Jason and Britt finally called it quits? What about the reason that the couple broke-up, over Britt knowing about Anna being locked-up at Wyndemere and Jason not willing to back Britt about Anna trying to kill her? Is Tristan the next man for Britt? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section.

‘General Hospital’ Favorite Kirsten Storms Gives Update on Apartment Break-in That Caused “Unnecessary Custody Case”

Published

Kirsten Storms

Kirsten Storms (Maxie, GH) is sharing more details on the December 2025 apartment break-in and the difficulties she has had with the Tennessee police, plus how the original incident, according to the actress, played into her ex-husband, Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny, GH and ex-Stefan/Jake, Days) filing a restraining order against her and the custody case involving their daughter, Harper.

The popular actress had played GH’s Maxie Jones on and off since 2005, after coming to the ABC soap opera following her run as Belle Black on Days of our Lives. As GH fans know, Storms last appearance on General Hospital was back in March of this year. In recent episodes, the character of Maxie was written-out along with her entire family and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and relocated to Australia.

Now, Kirsten explained via Instagram and with shared photo of the December police report, which indicated Storms had placed a call to the Franklin Police Department to report a break-in at her Tennessee apartment. The report states that Storms was away from her apartment for about a week in August of 2025, and when she returned home, she found damage to the deadbolt on her door, as well as other missing items.

KIRSTEN STORMS SPEAKS OUT ABOUT CUSTODY CASE OVER HER DAUGHTER

Then, Storms fired back at naysayers in the ongoing comments on her break-in situation, stating: “Please do not tell me (or ask me) not to post these things. I’m hoping this is the last item I post (of the documents I have on the break-in at my old apartment in Tennessee). I’m only doing this because that lead to an **unnecessary custody case** being filed against me.”

It was back in April that TMZ learned, through obtaining of court documents, that Barash cited Storms for having mental health issues so he filed a restraining order against her. Kirsten expressed in her latest post, that she was asked to meet with a mediator in the custody case for her daughter, not a judge, and that her mental health issues were being used against her instead of people focusing on the break-in.

Storms added, “However, the break-in … followed by a ‘custody case/now mediation request’ where the break-in was the main reason for the initial custody filing, was unwarranted.”

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH CHECK

Kirsten also shared on her health status,”I have always been proactive about my medical care (all aspects), as well as Harper’s (<—— the MOST important person to me). I’ve also been attempting to get checkups with a neurosurgeon/neurologist for my brain aneurysm and brain cysts. And tbh, I have a psychologist that I’ve seen for years, who I’m kinda attached too. She’s f’ing incredible and understands the kind of therapy sessions I need. Addressing what should NOT be the focus (mental illness), is frustrating for me”

You can check out Kirsten’s latest post on the custody matter, and her ongoing battle over the apartment break-in while in Tennessee below.

Now let us know, glad to hear from Kirsten and hear more of her side of the custody story and her ongoing issues with this apartment break-in? Let us know via the comment section below, and if you miss seeing her on-screen on General Hospital and hope one day she will come back.
