General Hospital Has Found Their New Dillon Quartermaine! Robert Palmer Watkins To Make Debut!

Courtesy/IMDB
Dillon Quartermaine (last played by The Bold and the Beautiful’s Scott Clifton) is coming home to Port Charles and General Hospital!
However this time actor Robert Palmer Watkins takes on the role of Tracey Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) youngest son beginning next week on all-new episodes of the long running ABC soap opera.
Watkins, who has appeared in the motion picture Frat House Musical, Safari and the supernatural web series Last Life among other projects, is set to bring Dillon back with some major sex appeal.
Emme Rylan (Lulu, GH) told Soap Opera Digest on the casting of Watkins: “I love Rob. He is so much fun to work with. He is so prepared every single day and so freakin’ into it. They couldn’t have found a better guy.”
Excited of the news that Dillon Q is going to be back on the canvas? Who do you think he will be romantically linked with? Share your thoughts below on the casting of Robert Palmer Watkins!
He looks promising and is not bad on the eyes. While there are other options I would have chosen for recast in the role of Dillon, I only hope Ron does not tarnish the strong history Dillon has within the series, as both a previous character and as a Quartermaine. Look forward to his returning next week.
Dillon was born a year or two after Maxie so he should be a good 30 to 32. Please don’t put him in teen storylines.
Those days are over.
Maxie character skills be 28. The article says nothing about teen, but he would fall in the Micheal age range. Also Lulu/Maxie group. But would need to be a bit matured

I just did a search and there were some pictures of him without a shirt. He’s ripped. Unfortunately, I think a great legacy character is destined to become slimy eye candy. The fear of being tarnished will become reality.
I think you are so dead on, Frank and Ron love hiring the next piece of eye candy instead of scouting authentic talent. I guess Nathan will be old news!!!!
Bring back Scott Clifton; his talent is wasted on the B&B!
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just hope this will mean we get to see a lot more of Jane Elliot.
He’ll like Val, Maxie, Kiki, or Sabrina….who else is there…..oh, Lulu because of a possible Vante pairing….lol
Never heard of him before, but I’m willing to give him a chance. I’m excited that Dillon is finally coming back, his return has been long awaited. I was hoping they would cast Tom Pelphrey in the role, but I’m hoping for the best with Robert. Hopefully he’s a better actor than Ryan Paevey, Brytni Sarpy and Hayley Erin. Can’t stand any of them!
WHOA!!
I never heard of Dillon Quartermaine..
Tracy never mentions him, nobody did..
It great to have anoth Q .. hope he kicks Michales azz to the curb !
I bet he will be with Lucas !
his wedding to Brad isn’t going to happen- family problems..
(aha Brad’s parents are mobsters, cool)
Dillon Quartermaine
Ned’s brother, Tracy’s son, Jason’s cousins. Ex-husband of Maxie’s deceased sister, Georgie. Lulu aborted his child-HATED THAT S/L!! Lots of history here!! Worked for Ned’s record label. Always wanted to work in entertainment industry. Couldn’t hang in w/ELQ shenanigans. Wasn’t his speed from what I remember. I liked the character, didn’t like the HW, Guza during his stint!
Always loved Scott Clifton. Not familiar with Robert Palmer Watkins. He’s a cutie. Bring it on!!!!
Thanks Laurie ..
I don’t recall of him even being mentioned..
He sounds like a good comeback for the Q’s…
gotta check google and see how old he is..
Dillan isn’t gay plus the characters already know each other. So nay on a romance..
Your too young! Dillion was born in 1992, and is the son of Paul Hornsby and Tracy Quartermaine. Scott Clifton played him from 2003 to 2007. Lulu had a thing for him so maybe thats his angle or hers? Scott is not available but this recast shows promise.
Oh no… Just googled this actor to check him out and Robert Palmer, the British musician…Addicted To Love…came up in my search. Sadly, he passed today of a heart attack at the age of 54. RIP to a very talented guy…
Oops! Brain freeze alert! I must have read the date re something else…he passed in 2003!
Rebecca…Robert Palmer, the musician, died back in Sept 2003.
I thought Robert Palmer died in 2003.
While totally off subject, Robert Palmer died in 2003, not today.
AJ…we all occasionally deviate from the subject…most of us have that conversational rapport here whether someone reveals something personal about his or her life, talks about a prime time show, what career they’re in, etc. I specifically stated that the musician’s name came up because the first two of the new Dillon’s name is the same…so it hit me and I just thought to mention it. Albeit 12 years off…
Robert Palmer died in 2003
Lol! I know, I corrected myself…see above! I have no idea how how I forgot that…and I could have sworn what I read today had today’s date. Dunno… I’m scaring myself… 😉
If Robert Palmer Watkins can act anywhere as good as Robert Palmer could sing, we are in for a treat! I still cannot believe Robert Palmer is gone! Great singer.
Tim…agreed! Thanks… 🙂
lolololol…brain freeze still in effect. that would be Timmm…not Tim. sigh….
The more Quartermaines, the better! I don’t care about any romantic entanglements. There just need to be a few more Q’s of both sexes to fend off Nikolas & Franco. Hurry up and remember your identity, Jason!
I just want Michael, now a Q, to get a run for his position at ELQ..
I want to see a power play for CEO..
Hopefully Dillan will become CEO of the Quartermain company..
I don’t mind a little sparring for control of ELQ. That’s what made DALLAS after all. But, IMO, it should eventually be Michael. That’s who Edward wanted. I think Michael & Sabrina should takeover where Edward & Lila left off.
Completely agree with you, Kansas Guest!
Crychael couldnt even run a Starbucks let alone ELQ! Bring on Dillion!
I glad to see any Q back on the canvas. My biggest wish would be for Monica to come back. She’s always talked about but never seen. What’s up with that?
Finally, a Quartermaine returns. Now, where’s Monica???? Where’s her confrontation of Sonny for murdering AJ????
Monica’s last tweet and Facebook post was in February, nothing since on either..
He is a good looking guy. I watched a demo reel of his acting and it was very good. Scott Clifton is unavailable so this is what you do. Its a shame Ned wont be around. Lets see how this guy is. I’m all for filling up that Quartermaine mansion. I hope he comes in and unseats Michael at ELQ.
his picture that Ron Carlivati put up on his twitter look much different than one here..
I like RC pic of him better, recent..
He wears glasses looks smart ..
su0000, so your telling me if I wear glasses I’ll be smart? I am calling my optometrist ASAP!
hey Timmm, Robert’s demo reels are okay. I think he’s probably very likeable, definitely interesting, and I see the potential in him for landing a soap role. I hope he fits the role of Dillion, he’s got tough shoes to fill, however with the years that Dillion’s been off the canvas, it may work out really well for Robert. I’m glad GH is bringing back a Quartermaine, and give Jane Elliott some worthy material.
Hopefully, Monica will pop in and welcome Dillion. WTH is MONICA???
I have to say, I’m really disappointed in how the show continues to leave her out of the scenes, especially with Jason nearly back, and she was nowhere when Ned was about. As I recall her last episode was on the Christmas episode, or maybe mid-January. Hopefully, Monica returns to the Quartermaine mansion and we actually SEE her.
Monica’s last episode was the “Krampus” Xmas episode—so many missed opportunities since then. Do you think Ned will be re-cast?
@ Charday, I doubt the show will recast the role of Ned.
Jeremy, great post! Your right, with Dillion being off the canvas for so long he can make the character his own. Not having Monica on is a sin! I ASSume we will see her when Jake becomes Jason? Just like Bobbi, we will see her more now that Luke is leaving the canvas.
Ditto on dethroning Michael.
I don’t know why anyone’s against Michael. He’s always been a great guy…loyal to his family, gave AJ a chance and came to love him even after all the horrific brainwashing he was subjected to by Sonny and Carly against AJ. Michael’s perfectly in his right to have disowned Sonny and Carly…and I think it’s great he’s finally in the Q fold. I’d like to see the irony…the victory… of AJ’s son taking the position at ELQ that AJ was robbed of. I also think lil Avery/ AJ is in great, loving safe hands with him…
What I meant is that Michael simply is not ready to run ELQ, like some
Lone Ranger, without the benefit of Tracy’s WISDOM and knowledge
backing him up and while we’re at it through Dillon in the mix. Now
that starts to make sense. However HORRIBLE some of Michael ‘s
past has been and it Has, Sonny and Carly have ALWAYS loved &
adored him.
Here, here, Fanny! Mikey has become insufferable and obnoxious…plus, he has shown highly questionable judgment involving himself with the likes of Sappy. Hence, he needs to be taken down a few pegs and Dillon being “Tracy’s Boy” could be just the one to do it. I’m actually glad that this pivotal role has been recast because I couldn’t stand Scott Clifton’s pudgy punk filmmaker with the hurricane-forced hairdo….he was just an off-putting mess. Also, couldn’t stand him with the “precious” Georgie….he was far better with Lulu—then played by the much superior Julie Marie Berman— but their ill-fated hookup and resulting pregnancy storyline was absolutely tragic.
@Shay
Whatever possessed Michael to HIRE not one but two former nurses to help
him out… One of them is bound to have a script pad laying around, watch UR back.
Questionable judgment indeed, he’s the one who is in dire need of Parental
GUIDANCE. The courts ruling was RIDICULOUS giving him custody of Avery
when she has a maternal grandmother perfectly capable of raising her.
He’s needs to stop juggling all these things at once, caring for Avery as if he’s
her sole living relative, Commencing a relationship with sappy Sabriiiiina
WHY now & WHY her there’s no magic,no spark… finally saving ELQ.
Boy does he need HELP.
@ Shay..I couldn’t agree with U more about Julie M Berman, if they Insist on
Keeping the current actress in the role of Lulu, Julie could play another
character, like maybe a federal agent taking Anna’s place in her absence
since Finola is taking the summer off… Hence she “MEETS” Dante and
a HOT STEAMY Love affair takes place…….
Anyone but VAL-chops!!!!!
@Fanny….I still maintain that it was a gross error in judgment not to cast the popular and ever-missed JMB as Val. The contrasting visuals of old and nuLulu alone would have made for great viewing. Plus, there would have been an existing built-in chemistry between the characters of Dante and Val, should the showrunners choose to go the infidelity route…which I am certainly hoping is NOT the case! For the life of me, I simply cannot understand the value of the actress selected to portray “Val-Chops.” She’s not very good and highly annoying, and if she is intended to play the Falconeri family homewrecker, then she will be absolutely despised. As for “Mikey,” I also cannot fathom why this young, green whippersnapper of a hapless half-wit is supposed to be the saving grace of the dwindling Quartermaine dynasty. He’s done nothing in his life to demonstrate his worthiness to be in charge of ELQ other than denouncing his “parents,” Sonny and Carly, and attempting to build some sort of social-do-gooding shrine to his late bio-dad, the lovable but luckless AJ. How does that translate into having the right stuff to run a multi-billion dollar corporation???? Especially when this clueless trust funder is more about playing Daddy to an unrelated infant and with said child’s glorified babysitter….it’s patently ridiculous, any way you slice it! (And, you’re spot on when you say there are no discernible sparks between Sappy and Mikey….it’s just another failed, contrived attempt to link that wet-blanket of a nitwit nanny to another wholly unsuitable male!)
@Shay…That would have been brilliant on their part, casting JMB as Val,
It would have been a match made in heaven. Obviously the writers don’t
READ these posts RC & FV should reconsider that oversight. It could
potentially increase their VIEWERSHIP!!!
@Fanny….As much as I have been bandying about the notion of JMB as “Val,” I cannot take credit for it. I previously read a spoiler that she was possibly headed back to GH in a new role described as a cousin of the present-day Lulu, and that idea really struck my fancy. Hence, when “Val-Chops” showed up and was clearly NOT Ms. Berman, I was quite disappointed! If the viewers were simply provided a rhyme or reason for the character and the particular actress cast in the role, it would be helpful toward accepting her. As it stands right now, it looks like just another whim on the part of the showrunners. Too often, they seem to choose someone they take a shine to, and then try to place them on the canvas accordingly. Needless to say, that is not a very effective means for ingratiating a new character to the public.
Fanny…Once again..Disagree.
Dillon, if they keep him true to character…has ZERO experience and ZERO interest in running ELQ.
Regarding Michael, Carly and Sonny…doesn’t mater how much they loved him. They STOLE him from AJ…they BRUTALIZED the man. They poisoned Michael against him. The point is…though he was raised in love, and I don’t deny that he was…he was lied to his whole life. He was kept from AJ who was his biological father…who WANTED a relationship with him.
Michael, as Sonny’s son, had to kill to protect his mother and sister, was shot and put in a coma, and went to jail and was raped. I’d say he has enough knowledge, wisdom and experience to realize Sonny’s home is not the ideal place for his baby sister. Nor, for that matter, is Ava’s. As much as I love Maura West…and Ava…she, too, is a murderer and involved in a life of crime.
Maternal grandmother? LOVE Delia. She’s a nut! She works in a bar. She’s a single woman. Best place for AJ/Avery? No.
Michael? He’s a young, healthy man. He’s wealthy…has the means to provide for her. A good, safe home. The Qs might have their “ways”…but it’s still a much healthier environment than any of the other choices.
Nurses? I’d say that was a wise choice in hiring…not a poor one. Sabrina is an excellent nurse…a very moral, maternal figure. Rosalie? At this point Michael has no idea she’s duplicitous.
I’m in Michael’s corner. All they way… That said, I look forward to the return of Dillon. And while I loved Scott Clifton…this actor might bring an edgier vibe to the role. All in all, great that they’re (hopefully) trying to rebuild the Qs in some way.
Oh, as for casting JMB as Valerie…I think it’s a ludicrous idea. Beyond distracting! JMB is sooo identified with the role of Lulu…there were so many fans clamoring for her return in the role (which by the way SHE decided to leave) that it’d almost be a parody. Would totally break the fourth wall…
@ Rebecca
With all due respect… AJ had never sprouted wings on my watch, far from
being angelic. Sonny,Carly,Monica,Alan,Jason,Edward….none of them were
responsible for him picking up a drink or ten, he became a raging, jealous
angry alcoholic all on his own. All that self hate spilled over dragging
JASON along with him… And all Jason wanted was to help AJ,whom he loved.
How about his connection/partnership w/ Faith Roscoe together they were evil
Incarnate. Given..Carly & Sonny were hellish towards him but AJ wasn’t a day
at the beach either. I’ve always really liked Michael he’s decent, fair and good.
I certainly don’t expect him to forgive everything that’s happened, but perhaps
entertain the possibility that his parents did what they did, as misguided as it
was…because they love him. Sabrina and Michael will be short lived..she won’t
hold his interest for very long, he’ll out grow her. I still believe Morgan will end
up being Avery’s dad solving that problem. As far as ELQ is concerned let’s
not rule Tracy & Son out completely, Luke is leaving town after all she’ll need
to occupy her time constructively.
And with respect back, Fanny…AJ was an alcoholic. He had a disease. He also showed remorse and was devastated by the accident that caused Jason’s brain damage. On the other hand, Carly and Sonny are just selfish, egotistical, self-righteous people that hurt people that they believe deserve it. There’s no disease to blame. Just their whim.
Sonny is a murderer. Pure and simple. His reason for taking Michael…so he claimed, was because Michael wouldn’t be safe around AJ. How beyond hypocritical is that? A mob boss…who has enemies that could wipe out his family on a dime, make his children a target…had the audacity to tell AJ…the BIO dad…that he wasn’t good enough, able enough, safe enough to be a father to his own son!
No, no one forced AJ into being an alcoholic. True. But addiction is out of one’s control…or at least a lifelong struggle to break free of. But no one forced Sonny into being a killer, Carly a selfish schemer who slept with her own mother’s husband…just one of her many destructive, hurtful acts. Let’s not forget the violence they perpetrated on AJ…from hanging him on a meat hook to dousing him with alcohol and leaving him in a huddled mess so that people would think he’d gone back to drinking.
“His ‘parents’ did what they did because they love him?” Sonny wasn’t his parent. He only became his adoptive father after he threatened AJ with his life if he didin’t sign over his rights. As proven by Michael’s life as I listed above, having to kill, go to jail and get raped is not any indication that he was better off a Corinthos.
AJ deserved to know his son…he deserved to raise his son and at the least have joint custody with Carly…even if he had to have supervised visits unless he got sober…and actually, I wonder how a judge granted custody to a known criminal like Sonny over AJ. As I also mentioned, they went one step further…the poisoned Michael against AJ. Not only did they denigrate him, they made him believe he didn’t even want him.
Michael is a good guy. A sensitive guy. Sabrina’s smart, also sensitive, compassionate…IF they keep her on the show I think they might do well together. I’m wondering if now that Carlos is out of the picture that Sabrina will follow. They haven’t allowed Sabrina to shine. She’s got all the right ingredients…pretty, smart, sweet, damaged, fragile, strong, moral, but she’s only been in the shadow of the men she’s loved. I like her…but if they don’t evolve her character she’ll be as dispensable as many think she already is. Who knows…maybe Dillon will have a thing for her and that’ll set up conflict between the two cousins.
I’m not worried about Tracy. I think they’ll find something for her to do. I just don’t see Dillon coming back to take over ELQ. We’ll soon see….
@Fanny….You bring up many excellent points! Although I was a huge fan of Sean Kanan’s AJ, you correctly pegged him as no angel….when he returned the final time to the GH canvas, I had hoped that his myriad demons and bad behavior were truly a part of the past. He had a fresh start in Port Charles, and I was most encouraged with it, but alas, the writers had other ideas for the hapless Quartermaine heir and it was back to square one with the boozing and bumbling….I was disappointed and outraged when the character was once again killed off (this time for good?….) but it is what it is….SK has moved on to better things, and so must those of us who had wished more for AJ. To see his petulant punk of a son carry on this childish vendetta against his parents, and especially using an innocent child to whom he has no blood ties to make his point is beyond pathetic. Mikey acts like he is taking the moral high ground, but his antics demonstrate nothing of the sort…he’s totally out of his league trying to play at the high-powered corporate level, and his silly schoolboy interest in Sappy—a failure of a nurse turned nanny-servant in his employ, no less—just goes to show what an immature young man he actually is. Nothing about his life is at all realistic, and he needs to be put in his place…first by his Q elders, as they wrest back control of their family firm, then by Avery’s true kin, when they reclaim the infant that he has no real right to be harboring. I am hoping you are correct in your theory that Morgan is indeed the authentic bio-dad of Ava’s daughter. When that possibility was first posited, the younger Corinthos was a willing prospective father, and along with Kiki, he cared for their little “sister” in a most loving and responsible fashion after she was rescued from the evil clutches of Nina…it wasn’t until Sonny stepped in to assume custody that all this musical baby bassinets nonsense began. It needs to stop….whether at the hands of “Denise,” or via some other surprise plot development….it matters none to me, as long as that little crumpet is permanently removed from ChezQuartermaine and the incapable and inappropriate care of Sappy and Mikey. (And speaking of Morgan, I was so hoping that he would have knocked his brother’s block off in that boxing ring today…..it’s about time he regains some dominance in their sibling rivalry. Soon, very soon, one hopes!) As for Tracy and son, I foresee them joining forces to restore the luster to the faded family’s fortunes….as you so correctly state, once Luke has departed, this former business dynamo will have plenty of energy to devote to her first real love….ELQ!
@Shay
Hear Hear!!!
@Shay… I meant Here! Here!
I also enjoyed Billy Warlocks AJ, big personality, good actor.
Little crumpet (that’s so sweeeeet).Love the way “Denise”
made Julian understand he didn’t step up, when it came to
keeping Avery in the family. Basically that should have been
his first priority, announcing it wasn’t going to continue on her
“Watch” gave her away. Just in case we didn’t already know it
by how she kept longingly looking in KiKi’s direction every now
& again. The 15 second June preview looks like fun…
@Fanny….I missed out on BW’s AJ….just wandered away from GH in favor of “Santa Barbara” after SK’s abrupt departure, but I do know that he was very good as “Ricky Flyer/Driscoll” on “Capitol.” That’s where I first encountered Mr. Warlock and his charms. As for “Denise,” I am loving the way she is “giving the business” to those around her (Julian, Sonny, etc….) in her no-nonsense, hilarious “New Yawker” way….it’s been a fun departure from the haughty Ava, but I have a feeling that the character will wear thin in short order, so I hope that the show runners have a plan for returning Ms. Jerome to her original form in the very near future. She is too integral a part of the adorable Avery’s saga to keep her out of the loop on a long-term basis. As for Kiki, I have been looking at her for awhile now, and trying to think of whom she reminds me….she possesses such a unique look. Finally, it hit me…and it was actually quite close to home: with those long blonde locks, tall build and wide facial structure, she could pass for Heather Webber’s progeny! Too bad they didn’t leave this character as Franco’s daughter, because she would have been immensely believable calling the “BLT Queen” herself “grandma,” especially given the strong similarity between HE and a young Robin Mattson! Then again, there are those of us (CeeCee and myself, included) who are wholly convinced that Kiki is yet to be revealed as the devil spawn of yet another choice lunatic on the GH canvas, the much-despised Nina!!!! Stay tuned!
Well…there’s no “here, here” here! Wholeheartedly disagree with the assessments…for those few who have dubbed Sabrina “Sappy” there will be no clear sight. She, for those who enjoy or at least understand the psyche of the character…is portrayed as moral, competent, intelligent and compassionate. For anyone who saw her as otherwise simply didn’t/doesn’t understand the character. One might not like the actress; I do. However, that aside…Sabrina never had ill intentions, she loved with an open heart, gave love to Patrick, was maternal with Emma and suffered great loss…from Patrick to her baby. Still, after an emotional breakdown, she has come back stronger, just as kind and protective of those she loves…and I think she’s a great nanny to lil AJ…and would be a great maternal figure as well.
Once again, Sabrina, described above as “a failure of a nurse turned nanny-servant in his employ” couldn’t be more off base. Sabrina was/is an excellent nurse. She’s knowledgable and compassionate. Unfortunately, life’s circumstances overwhelmed her and she lost her job. Doesn’t make her less capable.
Michael does not have a “childish vandetta” against his parents. He has a very valid reason to turn against them; I think most people who found out they’d been lied to their entire life, whose father was badgered, battered and finally killed by his adoptive father…and his mother not only kept the secret but put down his dead father at every turn…has a tad of a reason to be ticked off. And I say that with full sarcasm…he has EVERY reason.
As for Michael not being related to Avery/AJ…I think that’s an insult to anyone adopted. He’s her big brother. Period.
Instead of seeing Michael as weak or immature, I think he’s portrayed as a remarkable guy who’s been put through a lot of trauma in his life…and yet has maintained his morality, his loving, kind nature…and is finally becoming a man in his own right by asserting his independence from Sonny and Carly, trying to give the Qs…a family he was taken from a chance…and trying earnestly to learn all he can about running a company. Let’s not forget before Wally Kurth/Ned was given a contract…he was assisting Michael along the way.
Michael’s great. I hope they evolve his character to be a strong, good man…and perhaps find his way back to Jason. As for Sabrina…I’m not sure of her future on the show. But I’ll always think of this character as one of the “good guys.” LOL…IF she stays, I hope they evolve her, too. The show needs balance. They need to find her some girlfriends, a strong relationship…but keep her in the same realm as Lila, Laura, Emily…she was written as such.
Google his full name to get more information and pictures.
“Robert Palmer Watkins”
“Quartermainia”
I wish an established actor “should’ have be cast
I’m certain Jane Elliott was screen tested with
so
I’m holding out hope.. that this young man… has the quips finesse flow and banter
to keep up
group hug: LOL that Traci finds the love of her life… a new venture… a new plight… a flight plan that the audience salivate and forward charge with this woman
Also view his cover of Millionaire by Bruno Mars with a couple of his friends on youtube. He has a really good singing voice. REALLY GOOD-guess he will be rotated into Nurse’s Ball 2016-lol.. Hope he sings on the show sometime. He looks like a soap actor. Nice speaking voice. Natural delivery from the acting videos I saw. He looks different on tape than in his photos. He should do well.
Too bad Ned won’t be around to explore their relationship as brothers. Would also Like to see the Q mansion filled.
I know Dan, what a sin loosing Wally!
Agree! Hate it…
A fight for power between Michael and Dillion?!!!
Please ship Spencer off to boarding school tiill he grows into a normal 18 year old. This precocious child is not needed in the script. The Prince has done a disservice to his son by spoiling him and turning him into a Brat with a big mouth. Please write him out for the next 10 years!
While I thought Michael Graziadei would have been a good Dillon Quartermaine recast I’m willing to give this guy a chance. GH usually has a good track record with finding new talent, especially the actors (Bryan Craig’s Morgan is a good example). Between Valerie and the recast Kiki though GH has lost some steam in finding new talented actresses. Valerie is not needed at all; and they should have had Kiki go off to school, or something, when Kristen Alderson left. At the end of the June 2 episode when the new Dillon showed up I was immediately like, Who’s that?! So my interest is peaked.
Dillon will not be paired with Lulu. True, they are within the same age range and have an established friendship, but their parents are to be married making them step-siblings. The pairing would only be possible if Luke were to return to Laura, who coincidentally is coming back to the show. As long as he is not romantically linked to someone like Rosalie or Hayden we’re good; no logic to those choices. Dillon would need to be part of a couple that wouldn’t bore us with possible sexual chemistry but no other appeal. I mean look how long it took GH to finally find the perfect girl for Michael, which they finally have in Sabrina. I just wish Dillon were gay — he and Felix could make gay couple #2. I mean there are more than two gay men in most mid-sized cities. 🙂
I would die if he were gay. But I would still love him as he is because no matter what preference he has he is super for this part. And he is gorgeous and a very nice guy. GH has some really great talented Actors and Actresses, they keep me intrigued each one of them. But Dillon is my babe on GH.
I think they should give Dillon a chance. He is a really good actor I can see, he plays his role very well. Who would not like watching him. He can act, sing and dance. I have been watching GH since I was 4 years old and I am addicted to this Soap and he makes it all much better, among other cast member’s such as Sonny, Carly, Michael etc. (Dillon, k/a Robert) keep up the terrific work. You are definitely eye candy and such a nice guy all my best. Debbie from Broolyn, NY
I think this is great, he is a really good actor. I watch and listen to everything he says and does and he is perfect for this role. In my next life I hope to be an actress so I have the pleasure of meeting and hopefully get to work with him. All my best, always.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
