He looks promising and is not bad on the eyes. While there are other options I would have chosen for recast in the role of Dillon, I only hope Ron does not tarnish the strong history Dillon has within the series, as both a previous character and as a Quartermaine. Look forward to his returning next week.

Dillon was born a year or two after Maxie so he should be a good 30 to 32. Please don’t put him in teen storylines.

Those days are over.

Maxie character skills be 28. The article says nothing about teen, but he would fall in the Micheal age range. Also Lulu/Maxie group. But would need to be a bit matured

I just did a search and there were some pictures of him without a shirt. He’s ripped. Unfortunately, I think a great legacy character is destined to become slimy eye candy. The fear of being tarnished will become reality.

I think you are so dead on, Frank and Ron love hiring the next piece of eye candy instead of scouting authentic talent. I guess Nathan will be old news!!!!

Never heard of him before, but I’m willing to give him a chance. I’m excited that Dillon is finally coming back, his return has been long awaited. I was hoping they would cast Tom Pelphrey in the role, but I’m hoping for the best with Robert. Hopefully he’s a better actor than Ryan Paevey, Brytni Sarpy and Hayley Erin. Can’t stand any of them!

Dillon Quartermaine

Ned’s brother, Tracy’s son, Jason’s cousins. Ex-husband of Maxie’s deceased sister, Georgie. Lulu aborted his child-HATED THAT S/L!! Lots of history here!! Worked for Ned’s record label. Always wanted to work in entertainment industry. Couldn’t hang in w/ELQ shenanigans. Wasn’t his speed from what I remember. I liked the character, didn’t like the HW, Guza during his stint!

Always loved Scott Clifton. Not familiar with Robert Palmer Watkins. He’s a cutie. Bring it on!!!!

Your too young! Dillion was born in 1992, and is the son of Paul Hornsby and Tracy Quartermaine. Scott Clifton played him from 2003 to 2007. Lulu had a thing for him so maybe thats his angle or hers? Scott is not available but this recast shows promise.

AJ…we all occasionally deviate from the subject…most of us have that conversational rapport here whether someone reveals something personal about his or her life, talks about a prime time show, what career they’re in, etc. I specifically stated that the musician’s name came up because the first two of the new Dillon’s name is the same…so it hit me and I just thought to mention it. Albeit 12 years off…

The more Quartermaines, the better! I don’t care about any romantic entanglements. There just need to be a few more Q’s of both sexes to fend off Nikolas & Franco. Hurry up and remember your identity, Jason!

I don’t mind a little sparring for control of ELQ. That’s what made DALLAS after all. But, IMO, it should eventually be Michael. That’s who Edward wanted. I think Michael & Sabrina should takeover where Edward & Lila left off.

hey Timmm, Robert’s demo reels are okay. I think he’s probably very likeable, definitely interesting, and I see the potential in him for landing a soap role. I hope he fits the role of Dillion, he’s got tough shoes to fill, however with the years that Dillion’s been off the canvas, it may work out really well for Robert. I’m glad GH is bringing back a Quartermaine, and give Jane Elliott some worthy material. Hopefully, Monica will pop in and welcome Dillion. WTH is MONICA??? I don’t know why anyone’s against Michael. He’s always been a great guy…loyal to his family, gave AJ a chance and came to love him even after all the horrific brainwashing he was subjected to by Sonny and Carly against AJ. Michael’s perfectly in his right to have disowned Sonny and Carly…and I think it’s great he’s finally in the Q fold. I’d like to see the irony…the victory… of AJ’s son taking the position at ELQ that AJ was robbed of. I also think lil Avery/ AJ is in great, loving safe hands with him…

Fanny

What I meant is that Michael simply is not ready to run ELQ, like some
Lone Ranger, without the benefit of Tracy’s WISDOM and knowledge
backing him up and while we’re at it through Dillon in the mix. Now
that starts to make sense. However HORRIBLE some of Michael ‘s
past has been and it Has, Sonny and Carly have ALWAYS loved &
adored him.

Shay

Here, here, Fanny! Mikey has become insufferable and obnoxious…plus, he has shown highly questionable judgment involving himself with the likes of Sappy. Hence, he needs to be taken down a few pegs and Dillon being “Tracy’s Boy” could be just the one to do it. I’m actually glad that this pivotal role has been recast because I couldn’t stand Scott Clifton’s pudgy punk filmmaker with the hurricane-forced hairdo….he was just an off-putting mess. Also, couldn’t stand him with the “precious” Georgie….he was far better with Lulu—then played by the much superior Julie Marie Berman— but their ill-fated hookup and resulting… Read more »

Whatever possessed Michael to HIRE not one but two former nurses to help
him out… One of them is bound to have a script pad laying around, watch UR back.
Questionable judgment indeed, he’s the one who is in dire need of Parental
GUIDANCE. The courts ruling was RIDICULOUS giving him custody of Avery
when she has a maternal grandmother perfectly capable of raising her.
He’s needs to stop juggling all these things at once, caring for Avery as if he’s
her sole living relative, Commencing a relationship with sappy Sabriiiiina
WHY now & WHY her there’s no magic,no spark… finally saving ELQ.

@ Shay..I couldn’t agree with U more about Julie M Berman, if they Insist on
Keeping the current actress in the role of Lulu, Julie could play another

Shay

@Fanny….I still maintain that it was a gross error in judgment not to cast the popular and ever-missed JMB as Val. The contrasting visuals of old and nuLulu alone would have made for great viewing. Plus, there would have been an existing built-in chemistry between the characters of Dante and Val, should the showrunners choose to go the infidelity route…which I am certainly hoping is NOT the case! For the life of me, I simply cannot understand the value of the actress selected to portray “Val-Chops.” She’s not very good and highly annoying, and if she is intended to play… Read more »

@Fanny….As much as I have been bandying about the notion of JMB as “Val,” I cannot take credit for it. I previously read a spoiler that she was possibly headed back to GH in a new role described as a cousin of the present-day Lulu, and that idea really struck my fancy. Hence, when “Val-Chops” showed up and was clearly NOT Ms. Berman, I was quite disappointed! If the viewers were simply provided a rhyme or reason for the character and the particular actress cast in the role, it would be helpful toward accepting her. As it stands right now,… Read more »

Fanny…Once again..Disagree. Dillon, if they keep him true to character…has ZERO experience and ZERO interest in running ELQ. Regarding Michael, Carly and Sonny…doesn’t mater how much they loved him. They STOLE him from AJ…they BRUTALIZED the man. They poisoned Michael against him. The point is…though he was raised in love, and I don’t deny that he was…he was lied to his whole life. He was kept from AJ who was his biological father…who WANTED a relationship with him. Oh, as for casting JMB as Valerie…I think it’s a ludicrous idea. Beyond distracting! JMB is sooo identified with the role of Lulu…there were so many fans clamoring for her return in the role (which by the way SHE decided to leave) that it’d almost be a parody. Would totally break the fourth wall…

@ Rebecca With all due respect… AJ had never sprouted wings on my watch, far from being angelic. Sonny,Carly,Monica,Alan,Jason,Edward….none of them were responsible for him picking up a drink or ten, he became a raging, jealous angry alcoholic all on his own. All that self hate spilled over dragging JASON along with him… And all Jason wanted was to help AJ,whom he loved. And with respect back, Fanny…AJ was an alcoholic. He had a disease. He also showed remorse and was devastated by the accident that caused Jason’s brain damage. On the other hand, Carly and Sonny are just selfish, egotistical, self-righteous people that hurt people that they believe deserve it. There’s no disease to blame. Just their whim. Sonny is a murderer. Pure and simple. His reason for taking Michael…so he claimed, was because Michael wouldn’t be safe around AJ. How beyond hypocritical is that? As for “Denise,” I am loving the way she is “giving the business” to those around her (Julian, Sonny, etc….) in her no-nonsense, hilarious “New Yawker” way….it’s been a fun departure from the haughty Ava, but I have a feeling that the character will wear thin in short order, so I hope that the show runners have… Read more »

Well…there’s no “here, here” here! Wholeheartedly disagree with the assessments…for those few who have dubbed Sabrina “Sappy” there will be no clear sight. For anyone who saw her as otherwise simply didn’t/doesn’t understand the character. One might not like the actress; I do. While I thought Michael Graziadei would have been a good Dillon Quartermaine recast I’m willing to give this guy a chance. GH usually has a good track record with finding new talent, especially the actors (Bryan Craig’s Morgan is a good example). Between Valerie and the recast Kiki though GH has lost some steam in finding new talented actresses. Dillon will not be paired with Lulu. True, they are within the same age range and have an established friendship, but their parents are to be married making them step-siblings. The pairing would only be possible if Luke were to return to Laura, who coincidentally is coming back to the show. As long as he is not romantically linked to someone like Rosalie or Hayden we’re good; no logic to those choices. GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sonny Remembers Carly Just as She Is Marrying Jason

After nine months of being “Mike”, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had a major breakthrough as his memory is all coming back to him now (as the Celine Dion song says), and in the process the Tan-O has burned to the ground, signaling the the probable end to the Nixon Falls arc of the story.

As the story picked-up on Thursday, Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) plot to keep Sonny for herself and away from Carly majorly backfired on her.  Not only does Phyllis (Joyce Guy) now know that Nina lied about “Mike’s” identify the entire time, but Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is running wild and free heading back to Port Charles to claim his baby and Maxie (Kirsten Storms), after setting fire to the building.

Courtesy/ABC

Since “Mike” ran in to save Nina and got hit by a beam in the process, he is alone in the burning Tan-O enveloped by flames, but that triggers the beginning of his memory coming back.

Meanwhile, back in Port Charles, Jason (Steve Burton) and Carly (Laura Wright) are at their wedding, with the five family mob bosses present with a plot of their own and everyone wondering if Jarly will say “I do'”.    The two light a candle together for those loved ones no longer with them … ah, Sonny!

Back the burning Tan-O, Sonny is visited by the vision of the real Mike (Max Gail) who tells him it’s time for him to go home now.  A conflicted Sonny tells Mike he is very happy in Nixon Falls with Nina, but Mike tells him he needs to know his past in order to move forward.  When Sonny has flashes of his violent past it frightens him, and he says whatever family he has is better off without him in their lives.

Jax (Ingo Rademacher) tries to text Maxie while still in Nixon Falls with Nina to watch out for Peter, but she is attending and managing Carly and Sonny’s wedding, so she doesn’t pick up the phone!

Inside the Tan-O, Sonny sees a vision of woman, who when she turns and faces him is Carly. While Sonny is lying on the floor and is engulfed in flames and trapped, Mike tells Sonny he can die as “Mike” or live on as the man he truly is, Sonny.  It is then Sonny calls out “Carly!”

So, what did you think of the episode? Do you think Carly and Jason will get married? Will Sonny tells Nina he remembers? What will Nina’s next move be? Are you glad Sonny seems to have his memory back? The episode featured another strong performance by Maurice Benard.  Share your thoughts below.

Briana Nicole Henry on Her Decision to Exit GH: “I Decided It Was Time to Move On”

On Monday’s episode, GH viewers learned that Jordan will need to start dialysis and treatment at a specialty clinic in Albany from kidney damage and suffering renal failure.  But on Tuesday, fans of the ABC daytime drama series learned that Briana Nicole Henry has left the show, all her decision, according to her post on Instagram.

A Daytime Emmy nominee this year in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category, Briana shared the news on her departure expressing: “I suppose it is that time isn’t it. As I celebrated my third year of being on General Hospital yesterday, I also watched my last episode as Jordan Ashford air. People kept asking me how it felt to have ended my time on the show, and it wasn’t until yesterday that it really sank in, as I watched Jordan’s goodbye to her family and knew the tears you saw were real tears between not just colleagues but friends. I decided it was time for me to move on from @generalhospitalabc and I got nothing but love and support from everyone involved. Not to mention was given the most beautiful send of that left me quite literally shaken.  I’d like to take a second to thank every single person in my @generalhospitalabc family that helped me make GH my home over the last three years, especially @fvalentinigh . From the crew, to my cast mates to our security guard Emma, there were multiple people on any given day that brought such a smile and warmth to my heart.”

Briana finished her post with, “When I started GH it was my first opportunity as a series regular, and to get the opportunity to throw myself into Jordan for the last three years and work with some truly incredible actors has been an honor. Thanks for holding space for me to grow. I am a better actor because of the time I spent within those walls and will forever be grateful for the way the show nurtured and challenged my ability.  To the fans, it took me a while to win you over, but once you saw my heart you made me feel so much love. I hope I brought something unique and honest to your beloved character of Jordan Ashford, she’s one helluva woman. Until next time loves 👋🏾.”

This will be the second Jordan to exit General Hospital.  The role was originated by Vinessa Antoine, and Henry took it over for the last three years.

So, sad to see Briana leave GH? Should the show recast? Comment below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason asks Carly to Marry Him and She Responds “With All My Heart”

The stage is set now for General Hospital’s Jason/Carly/Sonny/Nina story to explode as things heated up between longtime friends and former lovers, Jason (Steve Burton) and Carly (Laura Wright) just as Jax (Ingo Rademacher) is in Nixon Falls pleading with Nina (Cynthia Watros) to come clean and tell “Mike”(Maurice Benard) that he is indeed, Sonny Corinthos.  Here’s what went down on Friday’s episode …

Back in Port Charles, at the demolished former “Jake’s”, Carly and Jason’s old stomping grounds, Carly and Jason share a kiss. Carly says she can’t believe this is happening after letting him know that all of her old romantic feelings for him are starting to come back. Apparently that is true for Jason too, as the ABC daytime drama series finally reaches back into the history of these two characters who were in love, before Carly slept with Sonny.  Back in the present day, Jason asks Carly to marry him, and she responds, “With all my heart.” But now, Carly is starting to feel more excited about what started off as a business arrangement between the two of them to retain the Corinthos family hold over the five families and the territory in Sonny’s absence.  Carly says she wants their wedding day to be about them, and later they can come to Jake’s just by themselves.

Courtesy/ABC

In Nixon Falls, Jax (Ingo Rademacher) is trying to get through to Nina, who has admitted her duplicity to him and how she has fallen in love with “Mike”.  When Jax informs her that Carly and Jason are getting married, she thinks that’s great then she and “Mike” can have a future together.  Nina wants Jax to just forget this conversation, and seeing Sonny, and do this for her; after all she went through in losing her child, Nelle, and her relationship with him. Then Jax asks her to think about Donna and Avery and Wiley, his children and grandchild, who don’t know he is alive and will never get to know him. Nina cries that Jax has won, and that she will tell “Mike” the truth in private (but something tells us, she is going to make “Mike” walk-in on Jason and Carly’s nuptials, so that she has a shot of keeping him all to herself by the betrayal he will witness).  Jax says he is not leaving Nixon Falls till she tells Sonny the truth, but she somehow she still got him to leave through her pleading to let her do this alone.  As Nina thinks “Mike” is walking in the front door of the Tan-O, in walks Peter (Wes Ramsey)!

Courtesy/ABC

Meanwhile, Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) is rushed to General Hospital unconscious with Portia (Brook Kerr) not far behind, after being trapped together.  More bad news is revealed when Austin (Roger Howarth) gets the blood results back for Jordan and tells Curtis (Donnell Turner) that Jordan’s levels of carbon monoxide are 58% which is not good for someone with one kidney.  Austin relates that if Jordan’s kidney function doesn’t improve, they’ll have put her on dialysis.  TJ (Tajh Bellow) comes to see his mom, and sits by her bedside in tears.  Later, Curtis breaks down in tears holding Jordan’s hand to come back to him, and she opens her eyes, as Portia walks in on the scene.

Courtesy/ABC

Three of the five families plan to take over Port Charles and split the territory after their secret meeting, where they plan to blow up a warehouse while Carly and Jason are distracted and at their wedding; the families also received a message from Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) while in prison.  Who will stop the “hit”?

So, what do you think of Carly and Sonny getting close? What did you think of the performances of Laura Wright, Steve Burton, Cynthia Watros, and Donnell Turner within this episode? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
