GENERAL HOSPITAL: I Can Assure You, There Is Only One Anna Devane! Finola Hughes Tour de Force Performance!

Wow, what a great story!  The unraveling of this twisted and twisty tale for all of Robin’s loved ones to be clued in to the fact that she is indeed alive has continued to be must-see television!

And on Monday’s episode of General Hospital, it was Daytime Emmy winner Finola Hughes, who showed us once again, not only why she is a treasure in our genre, but just how great and tough the character of Anna Devane can be!  In key scenes where Finola plays against herself as the prosthetic masked “Anna” (the in disguise evil Liesl Obrecht) and the real Anna, there is an epic soap opera cat-fight!  At the end of round one, it was the real Anna who came out victorious and lo and behold she comes face to face with Faison (Anders Hove), who has wandered out of his maximum security holding room.  Next, came the emotional showdown between Faison and Anna!

Anna demands answers from Faison and asks him, is Robin alive?  Anna begs him to tell her the truth if he truly loves her like he claims!  The obsessed Faison caves  and admits Robin is alive.  He even goes so far as to admit that his plan all along was to be the one to make it appear like he rescued Robin.  He  wanted to be the one to bring her back to her mother … thus Anna would love him for it!  Finola Hughes was stunning in these scenes! Portraying angst, sadness, and trying to cope with the news that her beloved daughter is truly alive and out there somewhere, gave Hughes dramatic moments abound to play and she delivered!

But we knew that was to good to be true!  Didn’t we?  Wouldn’t you know, Dr. O (Kathleen Gati) comes to and knocks out Anna! And then launches into a tirade on Faison over his gushing and gullibility over the real Anna!  And of course, Dr O takes the “Anna” mask with her!  When Anna wakes up … Faison and Obrecht are gone!

Elsewhere, Patrick (Jason Thompson) gets a phone call from Robin (Kimberly McCullough), but the connection is so bad, he can’t make out everything she says and is so in shock he wants to find Anna and tell her!  Only Sabrina (Teresa Castillo) intervenes and tells him, it could not have been Robin and not to tell Anna and give her hope that Robin is alive!

So, what did you think of the performance of Finola Hughes in her “dual role”?  Did you love the showdown scenes with Anders Hove, Kathleen Gati and Finola? Will Sabrina ever live down the fact that she told Patrick that the phone call could not have been from Robin?  Comment below!

Finola was, as always, SPECTACULAR. It was pure joy to watch…and yet, so heartbreaking. The delivery of her line, “She needs her mother,” was Emmy gold all on its own. The viewers felt every word of it. And the rest of the show was icing on the most scrumptious daytime cake. Yes, it is episodes like this as to why viewers tune in, but more than anything, it is the brilliance of Finola Hughes that keeps us coming back.

“She needs her mother,” was Emmy gold all on its own. The viewers felt every word of it.

I spill like a dam

more than anything, it is the brilliance of Finola Hughes

When Anna said she needs her mother, perhaps she meant Emma needs her mother too!
3 generations of strong women!

Standout Episode and totally agree it is must see tv ! If Finola Hughes does not in the very least get an emmy nomination let alone win I will be as speechless as I was last year !

As far as Sabrina – why does her Hispanic heritage only come out when she says Carrrrrrrrlos !

i was thinking the same thing John.

Perfection not only on Finola’s part but big kuddos to Anders Hove as well. The man is brillant as Faison…so creepy yet he has a way of almost making you feel bad for the guy because he is so in love/obsessed with Anna. When Faison first appeared on the early 90’s he just plain creeped me out but I guess now that I am older I appreciate Anders acting so much more.

haha…I agree…and I know he’s SUPPOSED to look creepy as well but I can’t help but want to put gel in his hair or give him some funky cut. He actually has a good-looking face.

Between FH and JE, these two marvelous women are, for me, the best actresses currently working in daytime. Having Anders Hove and Kathleen Gati in the mix makes for a delicious buffet of tour de force acting on display, even with the camp aspect. They make me forget the implausibility of certain details. With Tristan Rogers back, it’s an almost perfect meal.

JT again showed why he richly deserved his Emmy nomination from last year. It’s been a while after seeing his Patrick dumbed down to shoehorn the tiresome character of Sabrina into his orbit. If this helps to exit her from the canvas in the near future, I shall shed no tears. And by the way, welcome back KMc! Robin lives! Now if they would only replace the recast L with a better caliber performer…

Finola Hughes played those scenes to perfection. As did Anders Hove. The two were unmatched for how the characters feel about each other. Bravo! Can’ t wait for more to come

I want a repeat showdown…Anna fighting Anna(ok, Dr.O)but in mud somewhere…kinda reminds me of Dynastys fight scenes between Krystal and Alexis…Faison and Dr.O need to stay…Dr.O shouldve kept Anna mask on if she wants Faison so bad but he would catch on…hope they have some holiday scenes together with Dr.O singing some Christmas songs to the baby…lol

I’m with you on wanting a rumble redux, but here’s my “conundrum”: for whom do we root???? Of course, we want the awesome, amazing Anna to prevail to the extent she can save Robin, but on the other hand, we cannot permit the “Valkyrie-loving villainess,” our high-priestess of horror and hilarity, “Dr. O.” to be vanquished. Somehow she must survive another day (and considerably more than that…) to become a “Phoenix-like figure” so she can continue to entertain us for years to come. The notion of losing the song and dance talents, not to mention the considerable comedic skills, of that gargantuan glory ( otherwise known as Kathleen Gati…) is simply unthinkable!!!!!

Hey, if Helena can come and go over the years, so can my current favorire villain Dr.O!!!

Warning, warning Will Robinson…that is not mamma Anna Devane Robin sees in preview…its Dr.O in her Anna mask…lol

OMG I can’t stop thinking about yesterday’s GH, haven’t felt this way about a show in a long long time. Amazing performances by all but in particular by Finola Hughes and Anders Hove their scenes were simply spellbounding. When Anna pinned Faison to the wall pulling on both sides of his hair I thought she was going to pull out by the roots. Such emotions from Anna pleading for him to tell her about her daughter cause Robin needed her mother! I’m in awe of you Ms Hughes! Kudos too to Anders in his portrayal of Faison a man so in love and obsessed with his Anna! GH did a great job with the special effects as well, FakeAnna and Real Anna fighting seemed so real! Can’t wait for more of this story to unfold, looking forward to more Finola, Anders and yes the addition of Tristan Rogers as Robert. Wait till he finds out Faison’s behind this!
More of yesterday GH please!

Such emotions from Anna pleading for him to tell her about her daughter cause Robin needed her mother!

Pulling at our heartstrings… is overwhelming…. and all in a GOOD way

Absolute amen to those accolades! Anna as “alpha-woman” has been admirably awesome, as is the adroit, accomplished actress that assayed her amazing abilities to accord us this aptly-anticipated and astonishing adventure! The fantastically-feminine, yet fiercely-forceful, Finola Hughes has proved particularly phenomenal in her fabulous foray to find her never-forgotten filly..the luminous lady has launched us all for a literal loop with her tumultuous and turbulent turns and triumphant talent. If such a pitch-perfect performance is not a preface to a perquisite (Emmy) prize, then I cannot propose what is!

I LOVED Finola/Anna’s scenes from Monday!!! Everything with them was perfection… especially with Anders/Faison!!! She was incredible… beyond words!!! She was great as faux Anna playing Dr. O playing Anna too!!! Sheer perfection!!! Every moment with her was must see… but again with Faison… so close and so personal she was… words escape me… sheer perfection!!! I enjoyed this episode so much… the whole episode!!! Loved it all and cannot wait for the next episode!!! She will find Robin and Robert was right!!! Can’t wait and thank you so much to everyone at GH for great… must see TV!!! Thank you for giving Finola fabulous story and dialogue!!! Thank you for having Anders back as Faison!!! Finola… you were incredible and such a joy to watch!!! Very powerful!!!

I missed saying how fabulous Anders was as Faison in the scenes with Finola/Anna!!! Of course… it was great having him back and with her and she was flawless and epically amazing… but so was he… a very obsessed man who so loves this woman and he loses his villainous ways when there is the possibility of her really connecting with him at the man to woman level that is really is… his one true weakness! They really are both so extraordinarily talented and the emotion that comes through when they are truly together in that scene is riveting!!!

I have always loved Finola Hughes!!! So awesome yesterday with a gun to Faison’s head!! Great episode.. Finola rocked!! Would really love Robert & Anna together. I think Duke & Anna are kaput.

Keep Fimola front and center!

GH is on fire !!!

Great Day to watch General Hospital Did I say that ? I got a kick out of he fight even if I had to suspend disbelief with Dr O getting her licks in. Anna the real spy should have had her in two karate chops. The story is fine so I Enjoyed it. Almost a full day of Scorpios . I am even getting to like Britta and Nic. they e right. Two lost souls with parents from hell. I can’t believe I actually had a day I enjoyed the show. No Scummy, no carley no franctodd, and no ava and Morgan. Thursday is next.

“…I am even getting to like Britta and Nic.”

this is love @First sight, to me

these two have love and romance written ALL over them – equally

Wow

I second that emotion!!! Not only are Nic and Britta a physically perfect pairing, but their shared sense of shame over their abominable ancestries affords them a deep bond of understanding that the outside world simply cannot penetrate, a secret salvation, so to speak. It seems that the prince has finally found his ultimate “soulmate” and the “lost little girl” her “knight in shining armor.” A modern day fairytale….

I am beginnig to like the new britt. She is a real person after she got ditzed by patrick. It was the best thing for her! She can a replacment for Liz.

Finola was beyond spectacular. She continues to elevate GH with each and every chance they give her. I loved her show down with Anders Hove!

Michael… a real GET… would be for you to sit down with Finola and Anders and interview them about what makes up the unique obsession/twisted relationship that is so well portrayed between the two of them. There is such emotion between them that has so many layers and yet must come from a true respect between the two talented actors. I know I would watch it… or read it a number of times because I am fascinated by them. When they were face to face… sheer perfection!!! I will keep hoping you could somehow get them together to talk about their characters and their very strange relationship… especialy after all these years!

There’s nothing better on daytime than when GH gives Finola a really great script. Yesterday she was once again the phenomenal Finola Hughes and even more special was that the ferocious Anna Devane was back and seriously kicking butt!

Wed show was exceptional!!
The acting from all was suburb!!
RC once again has given us true soap writing!!
GH is by far the #1 soap!!!
(often, I am on the edge of my seat with my mouth hanging open!!

I Love Soap Fans.

considering the current state Serials are

If I have my – our: GH & DAYS

I’ll rest – and soap box support – fight

Finola was amazing… but I think the editing and camera people should get props as well…. what a great job they did of having Anna fight with herself…. it was seamless…. Great job, GH!

WOw, what a great episode altogether. Bravo GH.. Anna, still kicks a&*. Great fight between anna and O. lol Reminded me of Krystal vs her twin in that showdown during Dynasty era lol to Jimh (leve it to beaver)

Not sure I can add anything that hasn’t already been said. Finola consistently delivers. The meatier and more complicated the storyline, the greater her performance. The Anna vs. Anna fight scene was amazingly well done. Anders Hove plays Faison to perfection. Anders and Finola together are mesmerizing. Bravo GH!

The scenes were great– totally unrealistic — Faison justs wanders out his cell and escapes from such high security prison in no time flat– but heck I ain’t complaining it was dramatic, creepy and fun all at the same time. I personally also loved the scenes where Britt admitted to Nickolas she was Faison’s daughter and they compared notes growing up with criminally insane family member. If those two ever get married- I wouldn’t want to be invited to those family Christmas dinners– but love to be a fly on the wall to watch– LOL.

Finola did what she always does when given the opportunity- deliver a performance that blows one away. Her expressions, inflection of certain words, raise of an eyebrow……a tear rolling down the cheek at just the right time. Marvelous.

what prison is this? i hope we are not holding any real terrorist there! Anna should have had fake anna/dr orbecht in broken bones, she’s supposed to be able to kick ass/ including big tough men, if she can barely take on dr.O then she needs to go back to training . I love Finola Hughes and Anna is my fave character i remember as a kid anna being able to kick ass. now if you watch any primetime show like ncis ziva or ncis LA or hawaii five O,their female characters kick ass. The Anna i knew was like these women now. Bring that Anna back not this one who Dr. O could stand up in a fight w/ Anna.

Finola was absolutely AMAZING! She did a great job portraying Dr O in the mask. And the scenes between Anna and Faison were simply the best! Finola and Anders Hove are riviting together. Kick ass Anna is on fire and I’m loving every minute of it!

Loved the show. Finola Hughes is a superior actress , she did a fantabulous job with the fight scenes and with Anders. Cannot wait until she sees Robin, that will be awesome. Not to mention how little Brooklyn is going to act when she sees her mother. Robin, Patrick, Emma, Anna, Robert , Maxie, and Uncle Mac, WHAT A REUNION WE CAN EXPECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I feel for Sabrina.

Carlos and felix will take care of Sabrina….this is Robins family and always will be …..brit was spared the agony of really being jilted by Patrick, least it was just Patrick alone jilted britt but Sabrina will have to see robin come back for her family.

Sabrina will probably feel very small when she finds out Robin really is alive and she told Patrick not to believe it. Truly, I do not feel the chemistry between them at all.

One can only hope! I could literally “smell” Sappy’s sense of desperation with her lame reaction when Patrick dropped that bombshell on her…His all-too obvious feelings of the deep devotion he still harbors for his wife was like a cold slap across the face of the “glorified babysitter with benefits!” Will be interesting to see what pathetic lengths she employs to try to convince her object of obsession that his “true love” is no longer for this earth…..

What a fun scene! Totally impossible, but a lot of fun. So much for that high-security Swiss prison. LOL

I loved it!!
Soaps are fiction and RC gives us great entertainment!!
The GH stories have all been awesome!! from humorous to campy to hard deep drama to Bi-Polar and family problems and love and hate , I laugh I get surprised!! and the list of variety is very long..
GH has been everything a soap should be;
FANTASY ENTERTAINMENT !!!(at its’ best!)

Monday’s episode was GREAT! Not only were the “Anna on Anna” fight scenes amazing, and Anna’s scenes with Faison, but we had Tracy shooting Jerry INTENTIONALLY. How often do we watch these shows where the woman is captive and knocks the villain out, only to have him wake up a minute later to recapture her? For once, the WOMAN rescued the MAN, AND instead of being a wimp and letting the bad guy get the upper hand, she shot the bastard!

I also loved Luke telling Jerry “I’ll say hello to BOBBIE for you!” since no one ever seems to mention the “original Jerry Jax” and his almost marriage to Bobbie Spencer (before the IRS hauled his ass off for tax evasion.)

I also loved when Jerry told Robin he “lost” the antidote, and Robin said “THEN GET IT BACK”, as if she were in charge, not him.

I remember as a kid, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays were “Luke & Laura” days or “Robert & Holly/Robert & Anna” days and those were my FAVORITE days. Now it seems Mondays and Thursdays are like those great old days back then, full of mystery and adventure, and the cliffhanger Fridays are really true cliffhangers again!

Oh and I forgot to mention, I also liked when the guard at the Swiss SuperMax Prison asked Anna if she had a (twin) sister and she said “Yes, but that’s NOT her” which was a nice reference to Alex Devane, who was on “All My Children.” Even though I didn’t watch “Loving” or “The City” or “AMC” (well sometimes “AMC”),
I appreciate that “Carlatini” gives a shout out to these shows that they obviously both watched growing up.

Finola has been amazing this past week, the show is on FIYA!!!

And now it’s time to party on down to “Cassadine Island!” Some guest list there will be! Can’t wait, but wondering, will there be any restless, roaming relatives to greet Prince Nicky???? About time that Victor or Stefan wormed their way out of the woodwork, but please no more Stavros or Helena!

who is Victor Cassadine?

Victor was one of the original Cassadines from the “Ice Princess” storyline of the ’80’s….he was a brother to Mikos (Helena’s hubby) and Tony who were both frozen to death at the conclusion of the plot. Victor (played by the dashing and debonair Thaao Penghlis) was sent to jail, never again to be seen. (He was also the paramour of Tiffany Hill prior to her meeting Robert Scorpio on the island.) So, it is not an unreasonable expectation that one day he could materialize to seek his revenge.

Just loving Anna Devane!

It’s too bad that wonderful episodes with scenes like Anna prime vs Anna pretend is followed by episodes as we had yesterday when absolutely NOTHING happened.

I don’t think anyone out there can compare to what Finola Hughes can do with a juicy script! She is the bomb!

“Here, Here”

I just well up… knowing her artistic tour de force

and.. she champions Serial

Fans alike… are always waiting in the wings to laud her delivery

I have to say its really hard to go from something as good as what Finola and Anders delivered back to mundane and not worth watching. If GH could maintain a high level of television like it does “sometimes”, this show would be MustSee TV.

Finola and Anders didn’t deliver back to mundane at all. There was nothing boring or ordinary about their performances. And I found it worth watching and exciting and kept me at the edge of my chair! Gh is a MustSee TV already. I think GH is the soap to watch. You say it’s not worth watching . Don’t watch it if you feel that way. GH ROCKS!

Sorry! I didn’t mean Finola and Anders were mundane! They were amazing! What I was trying to say is that after how great they are, how do we go back to the same old, same old!?

Finola Hughes is brilliant as Anna Devane. Please GH give her some good material to work with. So sick of cartoon villians and fantasy plots. FH deserves better and so do we, the fans of GH.

When FH played Dr. O it was outstanding. Her imitation of Dr. o’s frown face was so evident and so perfectly imitated! Bravo!

After watching GH the past week or so I cannot understand why TPTB of this show thought it made sense to keep Finola Hughes out of the limelight for close to 8 months in 2013. She’s got it going on, she makes the show worth watching and she makes the episodes worth watching again. I’m afraid the people in charge are afraid to give us a taste of what really good television and storytelling is like because after this we’ll never accept the usual and customary mediocrity!

Kudos to Finola and Tristan, Anders and Kimberly and let us not forget Kathleen Gati. Kudos for the writing staff for getting this so right that I’m actually still watching and not frustrated that they aren’t writing Anna Devane correctly!

2 thumbs up to anything Finola Hughes does but this week I am seriously applauding the writing staff of GH too! It has been so much fun watching this story unfold. Finola is always fantastic but when she’s given a great script she is phenomenal. I’m happy to see Tristan and Kimberly back and was happy to see Mac get to accompany Anna to Robert’s bedside. Sorry about this Duke business but there is zero chemistry between Duke and Anna! Robert is the one!

GH’s Columbus Day episode will go down in GH history as one seriously epic show! Anna Devane not only faces-off with well, herself, or Dr. Obrecht in an Anna mask but she also confronts her life-long enemy, Cesar Fasion, in an attempt to find out if Robin really is alive. Finola Hughes was sheer perfection in this episode. She not only showed some serious Anna Devane moves in her altercation with Obrecht but she showed no fear when she grabbed Fasion by the face and demanded to know if her daughter was alive. She was furious, she was fired-up but she was so vulnerable just the same. Not every actor can pull off this sort of performance even on their best day but Finola? Yeah, she’s got it in spades. The smartest thing ABC has done since brining FV and RC on board was bringing her back to this show.

Finola Hughes is fantastic! GH was able to take some of the most beloved and fascinating characters in the show’s history and put them together again as if no time had passed at all. The writing has been spot on. This is one of the first times I have felt as if this new GH writing team really got the character of Anna Devane. Bringing Tristan Rogers back and out of Robert’s coma has been wonderful and having Kimberly McCullough come back with enough time to tell Robin’s story correctly has been yet another gift.

Am I the only one who wished she thought it was Alex back from the dead! How amazing would that be?

Alex is not dead, what are you thinking?

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

By

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
