‘General Hospital’ Icon Anthony Geary Celebrates Wedding Anniversary as Valentine’s Day Approaches
Congratulations are in order for eight-time Daytime Emmy-winning actor, Anthony Geary (ex-Luke Spencer) of General Hospital. Geary has been living full-time in Amsterdam for several years and is celebrating this month his six-year wedding anniversary to his husband, Claudio Gama.
Geary left General Hospital in July of 2015, and returned for a brief appearance in 2017 to usher Jane Elliot (Tracy) of the canvas, who also chose to exit the series at that time. However, as GH fans know, Jane is back and better than ever (if that’s even possible), as Tracy is in full force on all-new episodes of the ABC daytime drama series.
Taking to his Instagram to share his love for Geary and their romantic celebration, Claudio shared, “Greetings and happy week to all from Amsterdam. Winter days, it’s cold, but dry. This week is our anniversary week. Tony and I met 30 years ago in February, and got married 6 years ago also on February. Two anniversary’s to celebrate.”

In another photo of a celebratory pizza party, Gama expressed, “Our anniversary is in full party mode. Good friends nice booze and pizza. It’s mid week. I decided not to cook. I will have a big dinner on the weekend then more people can join.”
Gama concluded with, “Thank you all for all the lovely wishes from Tony, Max (the cat), and me. A toast to you all, stay safe and healthy.”

I know, right? He struck me as someone who was going to keep it private til the end. I’m pleasantly surprised he and his hubby are comfortable to announce. His hubby was certainly patient all of these years to have not announced their union sooner. I’m happy for them.

No, you aren’t the only one to have thought that. He has said in interviews he had a relationship with Liz Taylor and he went so far as to say he was her boy toy. And there was a rumor that he had been in a relationship with a lady from the GH make up department. So he either doesn’t have a preference, or the stories about him with women were mostly a ruse.

well I guess there are a few of us who had no clue about Tony’s sexual preference. As someone else commented, it shows his excellent acting abilities! To each his own, just be happy and in a good place about it.

Now that sounds like a gay wedding to me. And since I was there to witness it, I can tell you that’s exactly what it was. Though to be completely fair about it, David was also banging both of Saul’s daughters eventually, so he was actually bisexual rather than gay.
Now on the other horn, his son Solomon?? 700 wives and 300 side pieces on top of that? He was a little over the top, even for my unholy standards!
Jonathan was the son of Saul…..1 Samuel 18, was not about a gay wedding…David would be King. Jonathan knew that and gave him his robe, sword etc, by doing this he said to David you will be the next king of Isreal. Not Jonathan. One does not just read a passage of the bible, one has to study the bible.
You have to go way back to find a more “historically accurate” translation of the Bible. Starting in 1946, the translation was twisted regarding same sex relationships.
Who cares what your personal beliefs about being gay are? And we don’t care if you believe in Revelation either.
This is about a wonderful, lovely actor who brought us so much joy and pleasure over the years.

Bible also says that in the end days what is wrong becomes right and what is right becomes wrong. Dah. Being gay or lebian can result in sexual traumas. Tony was raised Mormon and there’s questionable behaviors of what goes on at the temple in Utah too. Who really knows? Truth is that GOD doesn’t offer male on male and a female on female sexual relationship no matter what you want to believe. Only thing that matters is who you believe in. Jesus or not. John 3:16 tells you that God so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten son that whosoever believes in HIM shall not perish but have ever lasting life. So like i said there’s many gay and lesbian people who have been raped, traumatized and can’t make the switch to whatever. So we accept these folks and leave it with GOD. When Im talking to any of them I just want them to believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior and let the Holy SPirit take care of the rest. We don’t know people and what they’ve been through so leave it in GOD’s hands. God is the one who judges not us. We can discern but not judge. We bring the loves and fish and HE takes it from there. We talk about all of this because it’s out in the open. How about the people who don’t and those straights who do not talk about their issues like porno, etc.

I knew since the late 70’s . He didn’t announce it until after the last time he left GH. He was seeing Ron Glass, who played detective Ron Harris on Barney Miller.

This news and acknowledgment of what has been a rumor for many years makes me very happy. I’m glad that Tony found his happily ever after. They look very happy together, and good for them. We should all be so lucky to find that special someone to grow old with.
Selfishly, I would love to see Tony return to GH for one last hurrah, but it seems very clear that he’s enjoying his retirement and his life in Amsterdam, and has no desire to return to the United States. Who can blame him?
Luke Spencer’s legacy coming to an end with that off screen cable car accident story was not ideal by any means, but if he wasn’t gonna return, they had to do what they had to do.

Horrible writing was why he left GH. He even said so at the time. And ReRon was fired soon after.
Tony has also said that he felt more comfortable living as his true self in Amsterdam than in the US. So I guess you could say that it’s the reason he left America, but not the reason he left GH.

I’ve always suspected he was homosexual ever since I first saw him on Y&R…and then the rumors started and he never denied them..I still think he played Luke, (GH) Laura’s partner in crime, and later marriage, really well! As far as his personal and religious life goes, that’s his choice, and whatever comes of it is his own doing and his business.

Congratulations to the two of you on your anniversary!! I really enjoyed Luke Spencer on GH in the early days when the character first came to town and then got involved with the mob while running the Campus Disco and when he was reunited with Laura in 1983, His relationships with Bobbie and his Aunt Ruby was so intense, great acting and storytelling. I like to watch the old playlists from that time and I just refuse to believe the character of Luke is really dead. I’m still hoping Tony will make an appearance on the show again at some point (just to prove Luke is still alive)! Glad to see you are enjoying life and retirement, I raise a glass in your honor!

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.
PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
