General Hospital: Is Nikolas Going To Get Over Elizabeth with Britt?

On Friday’s episode of General Hospital, many couples celebrated the Fourth of July in the park, watching fireworks, and having picnics!  But it was the end of the episode that could be a foreshadowing for the next woman in Prince Nikolas Cassadines’s (Tyler Christopher) life! And, we know from the past Nik has an attraction to damsels in distress!

Since Elizabeth(Rebecca Herbst)  seems to be choosing AJ (Sean Kanan), even after the reveal of AJ sleeping with his number one enemy Carly, and having a nice holiday with the Quartermaine guy,  Nikolas and his son Spencer are looking for a place to watch the fireworks after they happen upon Elizabeth and AJ!

Next thing you know, Nik happens upon none other than Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) who is in tears over tossing Emma’s doll into the barbecue, after the toll tinkled on her!  After the funny gag, things took a serious turn though and Britt seemed to be realizing she is in a bad spot with Patrick, Emma and of course, Sabrina.  Nik makes an overture to Britt, if she would like to watch the fireworks with him and his son, to which she says, “yes”.

So, is this the new woman in Nik’s life?  Since we know Tyler Christopher is staying put on the ABC soap, what do you think of having Nik getting involved with Faison’s daughter?  Will this be a way to soften Britt? Or, will this just make her machinations run deeper and involve many more people on the canvas?  What would you think of a Nikolas and Britt pairing?  Comment below!

Yes, anyone besides Liz works for me

I am intrigued. Britt is witch, but I find myself feeling sorry for her. Plus, Nikolas and Liz is a no-go for me as I prefer her with AJ. I prefer Patrick with Robin, but until she returns, I am accepting Patrick moving on with Sabrina.

They’ve played Brit – like, just right. I too… feel for her… especially, when you look at it from her lack of… and/or ‘mis’guided from her mother and father. She fell in love… and wasn’t supposed to… and OK… getting pregnant was all part of their ammunition…

and, now… Britt, will be a mother… and her inner resolve to constantly be put off.. the barrage of diatribe… from Felix, Sabrina, and Patrick… heck throw in her parents… you know… it gets old… and Britt is portraying her with vulnerabilities shows holding inside.

and she’s having a baby from the man she loves and I hope for her.

you know… i am tolerating Patrick and Sabrina… the show goes on… however, if you can choose… I would like Patrick better with Brit than Sabrina. for more woman.

I don’t care for Britt or Sabrina for Patrick. I still prefer Robin over those two..

It really would be a twist, if Britt is a surrogated and she is really carrying Robin and Patrick’s Baby. That somehow her mother arrange the whole things. She is twisted like that.

I’ve been waiting for a strong guy to come into Britt’s life! One that can call her on her BS, yet still get down and dirty on her level sometimes… Nik is perfect!

Agreed Eric, and they also have similar family roots too, that they can compare notes on.

NO> NO> please NO

This is all Niz angst. Tyler has sparks & chem naturally w everyone, but its beyond electrifying with Nikolas & Liz. Britt & AJ are just obstacles in Niz’s romantic, journey

Nik and the Britch together??? No, No, a thousand times no. I love Nikolas and just can’t picture him with this devil of a daughter of Faison. It is possible he could change her …. like Franco is now a “good” boy???? The writers can change characters whenever they want to …. but I would still like to see Nikolas with Elizabeth. I think Dr. Britch and A J would make a GREAT couple. How about working on this change, RC and FV?????

Shirley… I like your idea! Brit and AJ deserve each other!!! I love Tyler/Nik and would not like to see him with Brit… just about anybody but her. I like Nik and Liz together and hope that is the end game!

Glad you would like to see Brit and A J together … and Nik and Liz … I hope that is the end game too!!!!!

I’m not particularly interested in them. I think the writers did a great job reintroducing the Nik-Liz connection, and I’d feel like I wasted my emotional investment if they move him on so soon. On a show that seems to be based on superficial connections between characters these days, Nikolas and Elizabeth had depth: both in terms of their history and their complicated feelings for one another. THAT is what I was hoping to see explored.

Agree!!!

Also agree! But I give props to the actors for showing the history and connection. I doubt the writers cared enough to give Nik and Liz depth.

Now, if Britt ends up being like Helena and not so much like Faison….

I still can’t believe Faison had a kid. hahaha

I would not be opposed to that, Tyler has chemistry with everyone, and Kelley is obviously gorgeous; so they can explore them for a while anyways. Right now, I’m enjoying Liz with AJ but agree that there is also a lot of chemistry between Becky & Tyler.

No thanks! She is immature and whiny and actually would work better with AJ if anyone. Nik needs to really fight for Liz and she needs to put the past behind her and choose the man she really wants.. Nik. It was obvious from the dialogue in the AJ/Liz scenes that Nik is not really in her past.

Nik and Liz are something special; they have it all! GH needs to choose some real romance for a change and that is Niz.

I like Britt but Nicholas and Liz belong together. I think they should bring GV Lucky back and make LITT… I miss him and he works with bad girls…

Nicholas and Liz have history and chemistry and for once I want her to pick the guy she loves before she destorys herself again. She always holds on to the safe one and then hates herself in the end.
She has real feeling for Nicholas and AJ has feelings for Carly. Let Liz have a real love.

I agree! I wish GV’s Lucky would return as well. That would complete my GH canvas for me. I only came back to see Nik and Laura, but the OLTL’ers are still getting in the way.

As a TC fan, I really don’t care who Nikolas is paired with as long as it makes for good story, and a Brik coupling could do that. And it’s pretty certain that Liz won’t approve of him getting involved with “the Britch”.

One other thing I am tire of RH/ Liz getting shafted because people want her unhappy. She is doing what is written for her and if she is causing this kind of reaction she is doing it well. She is an awsome actress.
She deserves to have a real love interest and not be the heavy in destorying it. She has been on the show for 14 years and she brings it everytime even when the scenes make her look bad. Even when she knows that some views are not attacking her character but her as a person. She deserves to gegt her top pairing this time.

NOPE. He got it bad for Liz, so anything else is not going to be believable. Nik may come from a crazy family, but he is nothing like them and detest everything about his family. Britt embodies craziness, Nik will never fall for her, and if he do and the truth comes out, he is going to kick her to the curb.

I really don’t get why they just won’t give “Niz” a chance. There hasn’t been chemistry like the two of them together since…well I can’t remember when. Sparks fly with these two and they keep them apart?!?! AJ is a dud. Why would Elizabeth be interested in him seriously? I like Sean but put him with Carly. They kinda had something. It doesn’t make sense for Liz to constantly push Nikolas away all of the time. There’s no plausible reason for it now that Lucky is gone. Give us a couple we can get excited about and stimulated by!

Ron keeps passing up on or simply not seeing ways to entice us. When he brought back the OLTL 3 he could’ve really mixed things up by having Roger play Silas Clay and have Michael Easton play Franco! That would’ve put everyone’s panties in a wad and he would’ve also garnered a lot of respect for being innovative. Instead all we get is cousin-lovin.
Blech!!!

ICM!! I think Ron is a terrible writer. This is exactly why head writers shouldn’t go from one show to the next. Writers from the ground up should be promoted and offered jobs – ya know…the ones who know the show’s characters and don’t have pets from their former show.

It’s just a disgrace what’s happened to GH. I’m barely getting through it these days

Any true soap opera writer could clearly see that Nik and Liz is where the story is. And after having Nik come back and profess his love for Liz, it would be kind of awkward to have him move on so quickly.

I think Britt and Nik getting together is an interesting idea! They certainly have twisted family histories in common. Could bring out good things in each of them.

i think its a good match.im not buying nickolas being so obsessed with elizabeth.its not ringing true for me.i like elizabeth with aj, they are starting out fresh with everything out in the open between them and they want to see where it goes..they need their chance

Hmmm…..I’m intrigued myself. I could see the brooding Prince blossom and possibly change the Britch??? Only time will tell.

I can say this…if you put the show on MUTE…they certainly make a stunning, gorgeous couple visually. Now for that pesky volume…which would be the writing. The character of Britch would have to basically immediately cease being a psycho. Kelly Thiebaud Is a charismatic performer who is being COMPLETELY wasted in her role as Lisa Niles 2.0. Nikolas has never had a successful relationship on the show except for Emily and that‘s Because everyone knows the show was NUTS to brutally slaughter Emily for no reason. He is always awkwardly Inserted into storylines he doesn‘t belong in like Jax/Courtney, Lucky/Elizabeth, AJ/Elizabeth, etc. And always comes off looking like a pathetic fifth wheel, which is absolutely ridiculous. He‘s handsome, rich, gallant, but has enough of a bad boy edge and mysterious aura to keep a woman interested. The show is a complete mess and off the rails right now, so I will go along with where they go on this, as long as it is not for Britt to become MORE of a bitch and Nik To become more of a dupe.

GH should stand for Goddamn Horrible. The show has been unwatchable for weeks now, and I’ve finally lost patience and quit watching after almost 35 years. It’s sad and unbelievable to see how far this once-iconic show has fallen, especially since it was so great leading up to and during the 50th anniversary. Wake up, ABC. The show desperately needs a new head writer and new direction before it’s too late. ReRon C has clearly run out of fresh ideas, especially with his 3 pet OLTL friends front and center. (I call Roger’s role “Tanko”, because that’s what its doing to the show. Of all characters to bring back.) Does he really think fans of this show really buy them as completely new, different characters without any acknowledgement? I certainly don’t. The show is so bad now that I can’t help but think that this is being done on purpose with ABC execs leading the way.

If ReRon and Frank are going to get showered with endless praise and butt-kissing when GH is on the rise, you must call them out and take them to task when the show is starting to fall apart. It’s only fair. At this rate, GH may not be around anymore by late next year. Where are all of those Cartini sycophants now?

Agree….the show is really bad and, IMHO, has been since RC/FV took over. The three OLTL players are beyond acceptable and just pull the show down into the mud. I also agree that this team should be able to take criticism after so many have praised them (not me).

Tanko. :-).

I have a better idea! GET RID OF BRITCH! She needs to go. Cannot stand her and her devious ways. Not to mention Nikolas deserves SO MUCH better than that witch! She tried to ruin Patrick and Sabrina, she sure does not need to ruin anyone else. I think it’s time for her to be written off.

Omg, the Britch is the worst character EVER,
Selfish, self-centered and whiney. Yuk.

OMG I burst out laughing when Britt threw Emma’s dolly on the BBQ—and it is rare a soap can get me to laugh like that. It was priceless. So I couldn’t help but feel a bit of sympathy for the poor girl. As for her and Nik– I think this could work in the classic “Taming of the Shrew” kind of way– I don’t think she will be his one true love kind of thing, but I wouldn’t mind seeing what the writers have in mind— can’t wait for the scenes when everyone finds out who she really is.

Just reading your post has me laughing out loud.

it’s funny stuff….

something you wouldn’t expect…. out of line so to speak… Britt’s personality shows… without her parents agenda…. and she’s toughing it out.. in her own mind… and LOL…. heck… it’s funnier than w/Sabrina….

give Britt some more machinations with Patrick… perhaps this would bring out the characteristics of ole… and spark the too good right now Dr. Patrick… to find his panache…

I like the possible connections that this will bring. Dr. O, Cassidines, Jerry Jax, Robin, Luke, Dante/Lulu baby! Could be very interesting if the storyline is told well. Even if they do not become romantic, there is the possibility for all kinds of fireworks!

I think Nic and Liz are great together and again this writer screws up another pairing. How convenient moving another obstacle Britt out if the way for the childish nurse Sabrina. Sorry but she doesn’t fit with Patrick. Britt would have fit and it would have been interesting since her mom is involved with Robins kidnapping. So sick of the perfect nurse and stories screwed over for pets of RC lIke her and the OLTL characters.

I don’t think Nikolas and Britt will be a big, romantic lovestory. I think it will be more about friendship and I think this connection is really smart. When the truth comes out, everyone will be furious and there’s no excuse for Britt and her actions, but with her psycho father and mother, I believe Nik would be the one person to understand. If ANYONE knows about crazy families and how far they would go, it’s Prince Cassadine.

I, for one, really enjoy the Nik/Liz/AJ triangle. I really, really love Nik and Liz this time around and that is due to the writers, as well as Tyler and Rebecca. The writing and acting during this “Niz” go around as been much more stable and believable- everything it SHOULD have been when it was done the first time. I think adding Britt, adding a new element to this triangle, is great. Can’t wait to see where it goes!

i don’t want to see britt & nicholas together but i think they will have some type of relationship – maybe it will just be friends –
i don’t like the way nicholas is being written this time around – his character has somewhat changed & he does not have the same behaviors like he did before………………..jmo

I think Nik and a Britt pairing is a good match…i have a feeling this will make her turn into a better person…like Mac did for Rachel on AW years ago. Rachel was the town bitch and was pregnant by Steve Frame, and then she met wealthy Mac Corey and they fell in love. Rachel soften and became a better person. I see the same thing happening here. Before i couldve cared less if Britt left…but now i see potential in a Nik and Britt pairing that could turn them into a popular supercouple the way AW did with Mac and Rachel back in the 1970s. I hope RC doesnt disappoint and it turns out the way i said.

Loved the scene where “Britch” threw Emma’s doll on the fire. Classic!

It was hilarious- I still chuckle when I think about it— sure to go down in soap history as one of the funniest moments ever.

The toy company needs to recall that doll…it burns rather quickly…lol. Its charred remains reminded me of that scene in Childs Play when the chuckie doll got toasted in the fireplace! It wouldve been funnier had the doll come to life and stalked Britt.(revealed as a dream of course)

well;
Nikolas and Britt pairing will be EXCITING! Never a dull moment..

Liz and AJ are boring, dull, and BORING, mainly by fault of lackluster Liz …
No chem no sparks they are a very stale couple, so a Nikolas and Britt pairing would be welcomed !!

And Britt will and her ”’family” will dump Patrick for the Prince and his billions ..

Yes! I’ve been waiting for Nik to find someone and Britt is perfect. They both have the same background with their families and look gorgeous together. Can’t wait!

I hope Liz and AJ find happiness away from Carly.

britt and nikolas why not. it will be intresting to see if they have any chemistry. kelly is a wonderful actress. i know britt is evil, but she can change. liz bores me now. liz and nikolas are over. she belongs by her self. maybe they can make liz a lesbian. why not. she has had bad luck with men. lol.

Any soap watcher/fan knows the bad turn good and some of good will turn bad..
Britt will eventually become good, it is inevitable ..

A year from now many will be lovin Britt..

Just wait until Nik knows that Britt stole his Sister’s baby!

Thanks for the reminder! This is what makes soaps fun.

No! No! No! A thousand times NO! I don’t care if Nik is kind to the Britch, but she’s the Britch!!!! If she shouldn’t be around Emma, she shouldn’t be around Spencer either. And let’s not forget she’s deceived Patrick and probably Lante with this baby. She’s not innocent in her mother’s schemes. She’s complicit.

I do not blame Nik for “moving on.” Liz is letting her guilt control her. But AJ and Liz are dull and have very little to build on. The connection between them feels hollow to me as a long time viewer. It’s based on…nothing.

Nik and Liz have history, passion, angst, family, friendship and an abiding love between them. That’s what I want for Liz and for Nik. The freedom to enjoy each other and their children together. Nik and Liz are soulmates, imho. And they have EVERYTHING it takes to resurrect a dying breed: the soap supercouple.

Liz would make Nik a dull person, she has no personality, Liz is a dud a BLAHHH ..
Nik is full of life adventure and Liz is wallpaper ..
Let Liz bore AJ to death, he deserves it ..
Nik and Brit !!!! Those two together will give us some action ..

I totally agree with Otter1: Liz- Nik are reminiscent of super-couples of old! Well said!!

I love it! It’s an ingenious pairing. Also, imagine the fireworks when Britt’s baby’s parentage is revealed! I believe that is LuLu’s and Dante’s baby!

I haven’t been watching GH very long. All the characters are new to me. But I have really enjoyed Elizabeth and Nik in scenes together. There is something really easy and natural between them. When Elizabeth is with AJ, it seems forced and contrived. I don’t see any emotion between them and definitely no romantic connection.

I hope Nik and Liz get a chance. They seem to really love each other, but their history is holding them back. I’d like to see them move forward.

They’ve built up Niz, they are critically well received, they are well received by fans and with a lot of characters gone Robin, Jason, and especially regarding Liz’s love life fans have been continually and ongoing disenfranchised. Lucky, Matt, Ewen, Jason, fired or quit. It would not be wise from a thoroughly business perspective, especially with the vets from the nurses ball also gone and ratings going in a downward spiral to not go for something that is popular. Sabrina and Patrick really aren’t that popular according to polls and fans so why have them be one the happy couple with air time? Not that they shouldn’t be but more popular things should be pursued. It’s a business, this is peoples jobs and family and no matter what tptb think they need to follow fans demands.

I don’t have much interest in Britt, or in seeing Nik with Britt. I was really excited that the show was finally giving Nik and Liz a real chance, and not just treating them as the whoriest whores who ever whored. Rebecca Herbst and Tyler Christopher have phenomenal chemistry, the characters of Liz and Nik have an incredible history to be mined, and I was really enjoying watching them reconnect.

Inserting Britt – who is incredibly two dimensional – just seems like overkill. Typical Ron Carlaviti, too.

Does Nikolas have any connection to the Dr. O character?

Nikolas may try and move on. But he knows his heart belongs to Liz. Moving on in one’s mind is not the same as moving on of the heart. Sharing time with someone else is understandable. Getting to know other people . Not being left alone. But he knows he will always Love Elizabeth Webber. and when Elizabeth stops being her on worst enemy. she will finally do what her heart wants her too. And finally admit she’s wanted Nikolas all this time.

Can’t wait to watch this unfold, especially since we all know that Sabrina gets in the middle of Britt’s relationships! Bet Sabrina will end up with Nik after Patrick dumps her for Robin

I do not believe that ”Robin” will return to GH..
She left to live her dream and she is happy living her dream.
She will not want to get involved with GH, she has moved on to much better ..

*yawn*… give me Nikolas and Elizabeth instead. THAT’S where you’ll find excitement, passion, chemistry and years of history and friendship. Nikolas and Elizabeth are everything I want in a soap pairing. Let’s not waste time on something so blah….

I think Nicholas would be perfect for the Britt however I think he is not a love interest for her. I think he will turn out to be a very good friend for her considering she doesn’t have an friends.

I dont care!!!! I NEVER DID LIKE LIZZIE

STILL Bad karma from 2006-07…. So do you want with the character

From the day we learned who Brit’s parents were, i have embrassed Brit and i am now rooting for her. So happy they are testing with Nick, they have perfect chemistry. She,like Nick have grown up in a loveless household. I feel for Brit and want her to be front and center. And as for holier than Jesus, miss Santiago, she can go back to Peurto Rico and get lost like Juan and Miguel!
It felt good expressimg my Sabrina (aka Robin 2.o) hate.

Britt is a mental mess..
Her upbringing was dark..
With Faison and Dr. O for parent’s, WOW! imagine her mental state, frightening lol.

Britt will eventually be turned good for us to pity and love .. is the way of soap stories.

Lord no! BRITCH needs to leave! She’s a horrible person and no amount of Nik will ever change her. Nik is in love with Liz and deserves a chance with her!

Brit and Nik? Absolutey not.!…

Karma? Really? For a soap character from 6 yrs ago?
Ok here goes!
Jason loved Sam
Jason loved Liz
Jason loved Robin
Jason loved Courtney
Jason LOVED JASON’S FREEDOM! That is who he was! I’m a Liason fan and I figure that out in 2001.
Carly was the closes relationship Jason had and she settled for friendship. That’s why he never left her. If he had stay Jasam would not be togethr now he or she or both would be with Liz or Silas or Aj or Sabrina or whoever because it’s a soap and that is what they do!
Why can’t people move on?
Emily is dead but people want Nick to morn forever!
Lucky dropped his kid he had to have at the door with the mom… Were him and liz over YES and Thank Soap Heavens but the kid? Still Liz is supposse to suffer forever.
Lucky slept with Sarah Liz sister t the party Liz threw for him… He was allowed to move on and she even told him to go find Sarah not in a mean way.
Liz made her apologized to Sam and Jason for the switch that she owed in eight hours. Sam never once did the same for her action when Jake was taken but Liz never owns her stuff? Right
Becky and Kelly did their jobs and did them REALLY WELL! To the point that 6 yrs later people still hold a grudge..
Maybe this yr Micheal they should add a new caatagory to the Daytime Wards. Most Ending Storyline and Character grudge match! Kelly and Becky can share the trophy

As for Britt and Nicholas I am still hoping for Niz but this is a soap.

LIZ AND NICK. NO WAY

The actress who plays Britt is doing a great job at getting all of us to hate her! I actually don’t mind the character. I’ll take her over sugary sweet Sabrina any day, and most definitely over nuMorgan and Kiki. (Speaking of which, please send these two back where they came from…) I absolutely love the actress who plays little Emma Drake. She is a better actress than most of the tween/teen/and young adult cast (nuMorgan, Kiki). I am looking forward to some summer romance and some of these storylines being wrapped up.

Better than Kristen Alderson who just won an Emmy, really?

In a way, Britt reminds me a bit of when Carly first came to town; the self-destructive, manipulative person that was pretty hated for what she did, but really just showed how damaged she really is. We can hate her and feel sorry at the same time. Hopefully this story will help restore her character a bit.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
