Sorry, a Carly fan I am not. She’s falling all over Jason and Jax, letting them console her, while Sonny mourns with his exxes who give him more love and consolation than his own wife. Carly knew what Sonny’s “occupation” was , and though she whined about it constantly, she chose to stay married to him. As long as life was running smoothly, it was OK. The minute something bad happens, she’s out the door, skirts flapping. I hope when the dust settles and they find out who the real bomber was and that pathetic Morgan returns, she will go to Sonny with a half-ass apology , and he tells her what to do with it, and reminds her what “for better or worse” really means.

I intimated that Valentin and Anna had been lovers ( I know…tres impossible) , and Griffin is their child. Or, Valentin got cozy with one of Anna’s sisters, ergo, the reason he looks familiar to her.
So much is put on our collective plates, Shay; we come up we so many possible scenarios.
I suppose that’s a good thing.
As far as Liesl doing the rough and tumble with Valentin? How else would she have begotten Nathan? You had said that if not Victor, then the worst of the Cassadines could only be Valentin. Even if he is younger; their rock ‘n roll is still viable, n’est-ce pas?
Nonetheless, something is missing in this story. It is starting ti get as convoluted as Loco as Lukie-Flukie. I get bored very fast when storylines go around in circles.

Yes, I still maintain that whatever “involvement” between Valentin and Dr. O. that transpired was not of the consensual variety, hence the “age” thing is hardly an issue under such circumstances. Of course, I could be totally wrong in that assumption…just have to “wait and see” on that one. As for the possible link shared by Valentin and Anna? He could have been involved with her twin sister Alex (from AMC) or an even more plausible explanation is that they have the same mother (once portrayed by Samantha Eggar) who just happened to be named….ta da…”Charlotte!” At least that would provide a storyline evidenced by some forethought and creativity, although I still get the distinct impression they are just making up this scenario as they go along ala the Fluke example you have mentioned. In terms of Alexis, yes, she’ll always be a thorn in my side….I just don’t like her and probably never will….my antipathy regarding her forever grows, but perhaps it’s because I so fondly recall NLG’s incredible, charismatic Julia on “Santa Barbara” and feel her Alexis will never come up to snuff to that iconic character….she is but a pale and inadequate imitation with far too many shortcomings. I guess you just had to be there…LOL. Furthermore, I agree with your assessment of Laura, Anna and Maxie….all classic GH superchicks in their own imitable fashion, each with their own strengths and frailties, but always welcome in Port Charles. Not so much Nina….need I say more? I think not! Lastly, as far as your notion about Sonny’s inability to join the priesthood? You are forgetting we are in a parallel religious universe when it come to this soap’s highly-abridged and amended version of Catholicism….in the span of a week, we could have Father Corinthos materialize via an online Doctoral Degree in Divinity, a special dispensation from “Il Papa” and an immediate assignment as Head Pastor of St. Timothy’s….just saying. And while we’re at it, he may even have the unlikely ability to swing a place for Carly to join him in the rectory….I know, I know, the ultimate sacrilege, but we have been there before with this show now, haven’t we????

Oh, CeeCee….I’ve missed our “discussions,” too….I’m trying to make up for lost time this week! I know you are always quite busy, but do yourself a great favor when opportunity permits and take a gander at “Santa Barbara’s” Julia and Mason sometime…..now THERE’S a supercouple!!! When NLG arrived on that soap as “Julia Wainwright,” she was the formerly awkward, overweight, ugly-duckling younger sister of the rich, beautiful and glamorous “Augusta Lockridge” (played by DOOL’s Louise Sorel….) yet had somehow managed to become a brainy, hard-bodied, successful lawyer in her own right. Her character was really competent, no-nonsense and hardcore when it came to not suffering fools gladly—especially the male ones—-but she finally met her match and soulmate in Mason Capwell (Lane Davies) and they were utterly sublime together! Not in an easy-going, lovey-dovey sense….they were often challenged and separated through the many vicissitudes of soap life, but they were just always meant for each other and would make their way back time and time again. Mason was an acerbic, wealthy, highly-flawed and damaged bad boy with deep-seated parental issues….he often messed up to Julia’s vast disappointment—his demons were such that he really couldn’t help himself—but he was not a mobster or psychopath like the merry band of miscreants that GH’s Alexis cannot seem to resist, no matter the dire and repeated consequences of her constantly bad choices. Perhaps once you watch Julia, you will see why I find NLG’s current character to be so exasperating, ridiculous and lacking in my eyes….the difference between these two females is like night and day. I actually once surmised that if Julia had totally gone off the deep end and completely lost both her mojo and her man, she could have possibly been Alexis, but I truly cannot imagine her ever falling so far…she was such a strong, together character, no matter what life threw at her….she became so much more than a mere survivor, limping from disaster to disaster!!!! As for “Father Sonny,” glad you liked the vivid imagery…LOL…hey, one can never say never on GH when it comes to their interpretation of the Catholic faith…to say they play fast and loose with it is a gross understatement! (And, no, I shall not expound, but I do believe this is but another area where we could enjoy a most enjoyable and profound conversation….fashion, politics, literature, history, etc..etc…!) But a quick aside here…speaking of Claire Labine and Ryan’s Hope? Even though I only watched the tail end of that serial, it never ceased to amaze how the Irish-Catholic sensibilities were approached with such a great respect, sensitivity and sense of fidelity…she was a real stickler for that…..my how times have changed! Anyway, I’m not enough up-to-speed to further comment on Valentin….especially since I am somewhat skeptical his story will mesh all that much with the former Cassadines of yore, but I suppose we shall have to wait and see what’s in store with this mysterious dude. I’m just getting back to “real life” after the election, so maybe next time I’ll have more to say about him, but it probably would not surprise you to know that I’m less than thrilled with his pairing with Nina….there’s been too much desperate shuffling with her character trying to find a romantic fit for her, and I don’t feel like this is “The One” for her either…..to me, it seems likes she is another misfit character—like the happily-departed Sabs—who the showrunners are taking stabs in the dark to find a partner that works….then again, I could say the same for Hayden with Finn. I guess that’s just me….as my previous comments attest, I remember the days of the genuine supercouples and these temporary hookups and relationships of storywriting convenience we see on GH simply don’t cut it for me! Rebecca…I love Jax, too. And even though Carly can drive me crazy, I did have a “sigh” when they kissed. But ultimately she would let him down. Would prefer him with the Alexis he used to know. Too bad both ladies are going through pretty heavy stuff right now and I just don’t want to see him pulled down with it. On the other hand if that keeps him in Port Charles…

A few of my replies don’t make it back to you either. Let’s just say even though I’m trying for MF to hold out an olive branch, the morality gap is just too much. It’s hard to believe how much more one can be appalled and disheartened by cabinet picks, ongoing cases in court against him, trying to loophole “family ties,” and Ryan and the R leadership gang not the only hypocrites.

After watching Steve B. for 21 yrs as Jason it was hard
to let go and say Adeiu… However when it was announced
that Billy M. was taking over the role, I thought this could
possibly work… It started out O.K…Unfortunately that was
short lived, for me Billy M. has remained awkward, the fit
never quite right… Yes, the long drawn out reveal was a
factor, poor writing, disconnecting “Jason” from who he
truly is… Down to his core, he no longer is who he once was.
Not to mention how many characters it’s affected across
the board… Hey, he came, he tried, he didn’t conquer….

Hi Rebecca, I watched OLTL enough to really enjoy Roger’s portrayal
of Todd…Great character actor. Frank & Ron were wrong in using Roger
to resurrect Franco, they painted him into a corner and isolated him
from interesting & intelligent Storylines. Except for Dr. O’s friendship
but currently that’s limited to discussing Elizabeth….. Talk about
wasting superior talent. What were they thinking…Franco was always
meant to be a transient character.
If only Frank chose to rid the show of all the unnecessary driftwood….
He’d have enough in his budget to hire both Steve & Sean back.

TPTB should at least have a sit down w/ Steve and see if
it’s even feasible to get him back… He was only working
10/12 consecutive days a month on Y&R, which worked
out well for him so the rest of the time could be spent in
Tennessee w/ his family. Bottom line…Frank can make
this happened if he wants it bad enough‼️
