After this long dragged out jason story JASAM fans deserve a jasam Christmas!
Whatever road the writers are taking where Jason is concerned, I hope they do it by Christmas, Beth. Whether with Sam or not….just for something, right? There are so many loose ends; Robin’s rescue; Hayden’s investigating her shooting etc.
What about that Johnny, Beth. That smile of his is disconcertingly blinding. Soooo good-looking. But, there’s always a ‘but’….Inasmuch as I do not like Valerie; I am not liking where this story is going. Is Lulu that cold-hearted? Is she trying to have the girl killed? Lulu is losing it.
…..should read:…just do something.
hi CeeCee..
I think the Lulu, Val and Donate story is lame, blah and stupid-
I personally could care case about their love problems, really don’t care.
@su.
I most definitely agree with you, my dear friend. This stupid triangle/ quadrangle (Dante, Lulu Valerie; and possibly Dillon) is so freakishly vapid. Boring as all get-out!!
Jason is sick of the women lying and manipulating him. He gives up women altogether and begins a tempestuous affair with Nikolas Cassadine. Hayden decides that she has had enough shenanigans with Mr Cassadine and leaves him for Michael Quartermaine Corinthos. They both have had enough lies and scandal to burn down the barn. Jordan decides that being a police officer/commissioner is too much and starts a Mary Kay line of her own. She begins a relationship with Dante because he can do better than Lulu and Valerie. Kiki decides she wants a real man and goes after Sonny, which angers Carly but she eventually accepts it and starts up with Paul Hornsby because even though he is out to destroy her soon to be ex Sonny, he does things to her that no one can quite explain. Morgan discovers he isn’t bi-polar afterall but rather just a little odd. He deals with his character flaws and begins an affair with Olivia. Ava quits the mob and becomes a nun and gives Avery to Julian and Alexis to raise. Laura needs new adventure so she takes over Ava’s art gallery and starts running an illegal brothel with Franco as her main escort. Nina and Maxie start a new modeling agency and garner the attention of the New York Fashion elite. Liz gives up on relationships and starts writing romance novels and drinking way too much Kombucha Tea. Nathan West leaves the police department and becomes a self help guru with the medical advice coming from his Mom, Dr. Liesl Orbrecht. And Sam? Well Sam has lost all the men..so she starts a daycare center for all the neglected children of GH. These are just some of my plans for GH when I take over as head writer in 2016
Now thats a GH i would watch…lol
Okay then….will you be killing Patrick off, Mateo? Why else would he venture off with Anna and Robert to rescue Robin?
One more thing? Please don’t allow Sonny’s ‘greaser’ hands find their way on Kiki!!!!
Patrick will move to Cuba and start a new practice there to celebrate new relations with the US. Robin will join him but will stay away from medical issues and just stay home and raise Emma, cook empenadas and learn Spanish. And if Kiki let Morgan’s, Michael’s and other greasy hands touch her why not Sonny. Don’t h8, tolerate!
@Mateo.
That’s funny. Good motto: don’t hate tolerate. Thing is, Mateo, I never use the word hate. I usually say, ‘can’t stand’. Lol. ‘Hate’ is not a nice word. You must be a very tolerant human being. I do not tolerate what Sonny represents.
I do love the idea of Robin in the kitchen and in the role of domesticity. Too funny.
Mike asks Sap to marry him…bah, humbug…Franco and Nina are a waste of filler time-they are on their own; dont feel connected to the rest of the show…Why is Nik such a wuss-he can fight Jason on equal terms…hope Jason dumps both Liz and Sam…bye bye Patrick and Robin!!!…Glad to see Monica on a little more…the Christmas party should include the March Of The Wooden Soldier-staring Nathan!!!…
Did you read my mind Jim? I feel ya on all of the above.
Bite your tongue, jimh! At least on that first one…..I agree with you on all the rest!
i already do a lot of biting when Saps on…it helps with the pain of watching her…lol
Please let Sabrina tell the truth. I had enough of all these insecure women in soaps who think they need to lie because they might lose the man. What is this the 18th century where women without men were seen as a failure and their economical well being depended on the man providing for her? Come on, soap writers, this is a new day and we ladies know that if a man will not love our truth, he isn’t worth keeping.
And men today aren’t so stupid about women’s bodies that they can’t figure out how far long a woman is to tell if they are in the running to be the baby daddy. I realize much of this silliness is because they decided to write the actress real life pregnancy into the show — give me the good old days when they used handbags and pillows to disguise the actress’s baby bump, to avoid the need to come up with these dumb stories to explain a pregnancy.
Sabrina could go to Maxie, Nina, Monica, Tracie, Laura, Alexis, and of course Felix to have her help them decide what would be the perfect handbag (isn’t that level of focus on fashion the basis for the bold and the beautiful)…except that dramatic narrative would be dragged out through both february and november sweeps so there would be the longest pregnancy in the history of soaps (next to the drawn out gestation of who’s is in Jakeson-head–and I predict when he becomes integrated (and erika slezak could be brought on to talk about having different personalities and they could triple or quintuple date toward that end) it will be…drumroll please….JAr JAr Binks!
Does anyone care about Sabrina? yawn. Make it stop.
I agree. I like the actress, but the character is boring. So is MIchael. I actually like her with Carlos better.
I do not give a care about any of the stupid love gone wrong stories, they are boring nothing but begging to be love by one or the other..
Couple love stories went out looooong ago..(chek the now media)
All, the top 10 tv shows do not have love couples breaking up getting together and putting us through their love problems all that mess died in the 90’s and nobody cares about that junk.. (Scandal is the only one but that couple is perilous and involved in heavy dangerous plot driven drama)
80%? of all the blockbuster movies had no love couples, that is 80’s media and not many would pay to see love couples..
Nobody cares or wants couples junk and nobody is writing/producing it but the soap operas that can’t pull out of the 20th century..
((RC was modern and with the time of 21st media,, no matter who didn’t care for him, him he had the most modern soap.
The great Stephen King never wrote love couples lol ..
You make an excellent point. Couples rebound much quicker now and dont give a crap about lies and deception like they used to. Feelings are feelings but social media is here and it gives us all avenues to recover!
I care about her…when i cant sleep and my sleeping pill isnt working i watch scenes with her on…im out in seconds!!!…lol
lol
J&S always put me to me to sleep..
I would watch Y&R, under them, before bed and honest I would fall asleep lol
J&S are not the right writers for GH.
Their writing style is empty of high drama, intrigue, twists & turns, surprises, they write couples and their love problems..
2013 2014 Y&R was horribly dull and went down to its lowest rating drop, ever under J&S… Their music box story among the others were awful.
I fear for GH .. J&S are writing from the 80’s and people are use to watching 21st century media..
I feel nothing for any of the stories, they all are missing intrigue, the stories are empty. 🙁 🙁
Touche’ again! lol..
Me to except when she falls back into her “Heritage” and rolls her R’s and I wake up real quick!
You and I, Ces, should get together, in a cozy tete-a-tete, and devise ways to make Sabrina stop. To think I really loved and trusted this characters.
Get the coffee ready; I’ll bring the Bailey’s. Ha!
Haha! That sounds like a plan CeeCee! To think I rooted for her to get Patrick & now I just want her to run off with slimeball. Amazing how writers can make you dislike a character! Frankly, I never bought her & Michael as a couple anyway. Where is that Irish cream?
Coming!! On my way!!!!
AND dont forget the pretzels! I’m tellin ya, coffee, a shot of Bailys and munch on some pretzels, YULE thank me!
@Timmm.
HaHa. Cute, my Timmmbo, really cute….YULE. Ok. You’re on; I’ll try YOUR pretzels. Lol.
Michael, Sabrina, Carrrrrrrlos, FF! And Carlos could have been an intersting character but they ruined him when he was attached to Saaaaaabrina! Carlos should have been Lilly’s brother!
Sabrina should just keep her mouth shut about that baby because anybody stoopid enough to forgive Sonny for killing AJ will buy any story she feeds him.
OMG…so funny Alan! And so true!
Hah, good one!
yeah, that’s a good one
from a fan standpoint: his turncoat… back to the Corinthos’ just smarts
there wasn’t even any need for Michael to have shown up at the Quartermaine for the Christmas ep at all
I wish… GH production would take a vested interest… in; Carlos
Jeffrey Vincent Parise… is a must have on the canvas!
I like Michael; with Sabrina
I like Carlos; with Sabrina
I like the interplay… it’s not forced… it’s not expected to be magical… but it’s an intriguing play
Michael… since he’s being propped… this is his best bet and interesting ladylove
Carlos… he’s tantalizingly sinful playful with his words… it’s a sensual overture complete
I certainly don’t want Sabrina and Carlos to ride off in to the sunset…. racial diversity and people of color is a well rounded “show”
I’m certain Tracy knew from the getgo when she saw the ultrasound
LOL
she could tell Michael… but he’s dim
gawd! help me out here… if just one person tells me… it’s ok to be so annoyed at Carly… ugh! if I was Liz… I’d let her have it… blast her… back the expletive up… stay the expletive out of my life…
doesn’t help much that Nicholas at least told Liz… ” you don’t have to explain to anyone ”
what was FUN and holds some promise… dag! did you see that combust ?!?! between Liz and Franco ? hello! stirring loins
at the very least… a new duo to take on… the all mighty drab; Jason, Sam, Carly, Sonny
blech!
GH ! give Nicholas some power play to hold his own… stand toe to toe eye to eye Jason!
Curtis is ooh la la the newbie handsomest , dang it tho… doesn’t he spark with Hayden… saw some generate with Jordan… I’m liking
ps: Maxie and Nina are still ON! LOL come on girls… let’s Amazon and take
Kiki: I have fallen for this recast! all I have to think… would I like to see Kristen Alderson or this lovely sexy new spin, Haley Erin … just like Ava… only with virtue still?
Johnny Z… LOL I like that he told Val… she reminds him of someone…. her own cousin… Lulu
Morgan! I hope this bi-polar stuff turns out to be a DOA ( he left his meds at the breakfast table)…. Morgan.. may be a chutzpa … a ditz ; a dolt ; but he’s enigmatic playboy about town. he’s still the fun one of all the Corinthos blah bunch
Olivia is a HOTTIE
*Christmas ep
*Thanksgiving ep
Liz will rise ; her wherewithall stature will tower
One would think so, Alan, but apparently even Mikey can count to nine (months) and it’s finally dawning on him the numbers just don’t add up to him being the babydaddy…unless “el nino” is of a Guiness World Record setting poundage!
Besides, the jig would be up when Sappy’s baby started rolling his Rs
Looks like Nick goes after Jason.
Free Elizabeth from Jason/Jake finally. Let Sam have him. This past week was Jason’s best dialogue since he came to. Develop Elizabeth’s character.
I think the question that trumps all of the other questions in the article is, “Will anyone care about any of this?” With the exception of the Robin stuff–which I will admit I do care about, but it’s because of residual sentimentality and not because what’s going on is great storytelling–my reaction to all of the questions raised is a big “ho-hum.” (To be fair, that problem goes back to before the current headwriters, but I think it’s become more pronounced and more problematic since they took over. OK, yes, it’s true, there may be more “romance” now–or whatever the buzzword was that that ABC executive used to characterize the new direction the new headwriters were supposed to be taking the show in–but so far I have found it pretty unengaging.)
Sabrina will lie to Michael as long as she can. When Michael finds out he is not the father he will dump her and Sonny will get revenge. I was happy to see Jason slug Nicholas as he is such a creep! I hope Johnny stays on GH. He is so good looking!
Yeah!! Nik is a creep; and, looks like a perp/perv, to match.
@CeeCee…Hi Sweetie, I’m in total agreement with you.. Nick
is creepy and predatory. Hayden needs to wrap all this up &
quickly… I want her away from him. Her private detective is
gorgeous ❗️❗️❗️
@Fanny.
Hey, Fanny, sweet lady. Too bad about Anika, isn’t it. I do hold firm in thinking that he is somehow under his grandmother’s evil spell. Or, he is not Nik at all.
And, yes….Hayden’s investigator is so grrrrr! Luscious, he is!!!!! Curtis, is it? I think that’s what Jordan called him. Are they siblings? I believe she considers him ‘trouble’.
@Fanny.
Correction: ANIKA?? That’s hilarious! It is supposed to read NIK.
Mm mm Curtis !!! Nick is grossing me out.
Johnny is a charmer and has chemistry with anyone he is acting with. A great talent!
Love Johnny’s smile–and “handsomeness”–BUT it is beneath Lulu to enlist him to stir things up with Valerie. No sympathy for Lulu as she does this–and Laura warned her yesterday. “Mother knows best.”
Jason and Sam–together–yes? Haven’t they been tortured enough?
Robin and Anna and Robert Scorpio–YES! Haven’t we waited long enough???????????
Yeah, Nancy. Same here. I’m all for a little prank, but I don’t like where Lulu’s mind is going.
I agree that not too many of the current story lines have any rooting value.
Michael and Sabrina are boring but I love Carlos so I am happy that he is the baby’s father. He needs to be more incorporated in the story line to add some interest.
I am looking forward to the Robin story line if only to end these constant Robin kidnapping stories where no one bothers to look for her. They are so ridiculous! I hope her and Patrick reunite and leave together with Emma.
I don’t care about Jason getting retribution against Nikolas. Nikolas told Elizabeth the truth about Jason about 1-2 months after he found out with the intention of her telling everyone else. Jason should be getting retribution against the woman who told him she loved him out of one side of her mouth while lying daily out of the other side of her mouth. She deserves to pay for her lies and manipulations as much as Nikolas.
Hayden should be getting retribution against Nikolas for trying to have her killed. Which is too bad because this couple has a ton of chemistry. It was a character assassination to have Nikolas hire a hitman and try to kill a woman just because she was going to reveal the truth. Does he love Liz that much that he was willing to kill to ensure her happiness?
I love Nina and Franco but I want Franco to have his own story like Nina does. And I want to see more of Dr. O!
As Roger Howarth is my favorite actor and the reason I watch, all I wish for Christmas and the New Year is that Franco gets a separate story of his own in which to shine. Perhaps, leading to a triangle with Elizabeth and Nina. It is such a shame to see GH wasting an enormous Roger’s talent for so very long!!!
I love Roger too and agree he should have more story. But I love how they’ve evolved him from his dreadful beginning (the writing, not RH) And…I’m still waiting for Carlos to mow that lawn of a beard!
And I love that Lulu is getting revenge on Valerie! Of course it will come back and bite her in the butt because Johnny will go too far. But its great to have Johnny involved in a story line again.
Valerie does deserve whatever Lulu dishes out (short of violence). Lulu took her in last summer, tried to include her in the Spencer family and Valerie proceeded to become the guest cousin from hell. Started stalking her husband so that every time he turned around, there was Valerie mooning at him with those puppy dog eyes. She is beyond inappropriate and has no respect for boundaries. Paying for her lying, cheating ways may make her think twice the next time she decides to go after someone else’s husband.
Don;t get me wrong, I think that Dante is being a complete pig and deserves to pay as well but I can understand that Lulu doesn’t want to go after him because anything she does could blow back on her son.
I hate how Valerie turns it on LuLu like Liz blames Sam for everything she did! these b*tches need to get real.
@Ces…I hear you❗️❗️❗️Dissolutional Lizzy & Val-Trollope
need too take 5 steps back…before Sam and Lulu LOSE IT
COMPLETELY and take a swing at those pariahs.
I know! And take responsibility for their own actions!
I love your sense of moral indignation, Tatiana! You’ve called it correctly….even though Liz is the “social pariah du jour,” I’m hoping Dante and especially, Val-Chops, are next in line to receive the public cold shoulder….what the heck, can we please just pin a “scarlet letter A” on her and call a spade a spade? About the only thing that could make this sleazy storyline even more unpalatable would be yet another of GH’s long history of unwed–and unnecessary—pregnancies.
I think what bothers me the most about both Liz and Valerie is their sense of superiority. And the fact that neither one thinks they did anything wrong. Liz had the audacity to boohoo to Diane that everyone is against her, tell Jason that she needs him more than his wife and then tell off Sam for outing her. Not one sense of guilt or shame that she lied to the man she loves, to her children and to his family.
And Val telling Lulu that it was her fault that her marriage failed! No sense of shame for sleeping with a married man, the husband of her cousin who gave her shelter and support. And Dante not even trying to make it up to his wife but just keeps betraying her and their vows by continuing to see Valerie.
I think that one or both of these women may be pregnant so these stories will get even more stupid in the weeks to come.
Thank God for YOU, Shay. It’s good to see I am not the only one who sees this as unacceptable behavior.
Oh, I agree. Valerie is posturing wildly with moral indignation. Lizzy, too, but the actress is so good you can see that’s her defense mechanism working in full gear.
Lizzy knows she was wrong but Valerie seems to think she was acting on the side of righteousness rather on the side of her G spot. (I can spell G).
And Dante? He is acting listless and confused—like the 8th grade boy being forced to square dance in gym class. He is acting like he does not have a choice with whom he doesy does.
That’s what I said too, Harry….in a different way? LOL.
I am not happy with Lulu’s intentions towards Valerie. But, I am proud of her not trying to spread ’em at first opportunity. I am also happy with the writers for giving Lulu a modicum of vengeful sexual control.
Whilst I certainly take your point, Tatiana, I can almost (ALMOST….) understand Liz and her fall from grace. She was dealing with a man she had loved and lost, they shared a (once-thought deceased) son and a most epic history….this was her second chance at happiness with him, one she never expected to have in a million years, hence as terribly wrong as her actions have been, she was in a uniquely tempting position to exploit her situation, to say the least!. However, with Val-Chops, she’d barely breezed into town and accepted her family’s gracious hospitality before she set her sights on her own cousin’s man, and decided right then and there that nothing and no one would keep her from her chosen prey….even though it meant not only breaking up a marriage, but a child’s happy home, too. Of course, the slimy Dante was only too pleased to comply with her predatory impulses, so the fact both of them knowingly went into their illicit, adulterous affair with eyes wide open makes them seem worse in my estimation….total scum, in fact! Still, Liz also eventually came to realize she was dallying with a married man who’d left behind a family—unbeknownst to him—therefore I definitely cannot give her a pass either. Both women are of most questionable character, perhaps just in differing degrees….yet for those of us who witnessed the past romance between Nurse Webber and Jason, there is a somewhat conflicted feeling regarding her behavior….not condonement, that’s for sure, but a slightly sympathetic acknowledgement for why she did what she did. Having said that, I’ve always enjoyed Sam and Liz in relatively equal measure….each has their own strengths and downfalls…neither is a complete angel nor devil, but interesting, varied shades of grey when it comes to their personal makeups. Both have acted abominably in the past during their individual quests to land Jason, and even though Sam previously prevailed, and by rights, should have had her husband—and Danny’s father —- back by default, I fear Ms. Morgan is now going to do deleterious damage to her own reputation in her desperate desire for a reconciliation with her beloved spouse….neither Liz nor she shall emerge from this fight for Jason’s heart morally unscathed. I truly hope that in Liz’s case, there will be no pregnancy to further complicate this issue, but as for Val-Chops??? I would bet dollars to donuts that she will soon be with child and fully expect her to play the bambino card to the hilt to force a more permanent union with Dante. So although I have had it up to here with way too many pregnancies of convenience on this show—particularly Sappy’s two ill-advised ones—I would not be at all surprised were the Val-debeast to show up with a positive ept result sooner rather than later. Just what Port Charles doesn’t need…another baby born in less than auspicious circumstances!
I have seen lots of support and sympathy for Liz because of her past romance with Jason. I don’t have the same inclinations because I was never a fan of that romance. They were never right for each other so I could never root for them. I always loved Liz with Lucky and I will probably never forgive her for cheating on Lucky with Nik and decimating his life.
I do feel that Liz is going to come out of this smelling like a rose, at worst (as she always does) or with Jason by her side, at best. Either way she does not deserve a happy ending. At least not until she stops defending her actions and takes responsibility for them.
I don’t have the same feeling towards Val. She needs to go away. No redeeming qualities that I can see. And I’m not sure how they can redeem Dante. His actions have been reprehensible.
I think Alexis and Julian will tie,the knot
I pray to God Jason and,Sam will be,a,family
Don’t put Hayden with Jason
I have said this before, Kaffen; and, I am not disagreeing or agreeing with you. But, wouldn’t it be soooo far-out if Jason and Hayden were to become an item? Think about it! No one would expect such an outcome. The GH IT couple. Don’t you see the comedic, in-your-face irony in that? I would absolutely relish and revel in that. I would bathe and bask in the aftermath of such twisted sense of humor.
Alexis gets engaged…. can tell by the more matured hand… actually was hoping Maxie….maybe next year
New writers J&S have melted Julian and Alexis into the dull wall..
They were hot , they had love and lust a great combination for a soap couple..
Now, the vibrant Julian is an eunuch grandpa and they grandmaed Alexis…
I liked seeing an older couple hot and vibrant and J&S have destroyed their hot magic and made them dull and old….
But what can you do with a killer and a dodo? LOL
I agree. I am starting to appreciate the couple ( not necessarily Alexis; she still grates on me). Their actions and behavioral patterns have come a long way. Soon, I hope, there will be a complete turnabout. Perhaps having the kids in the house makes a big difference?
Oh, CeeCeeGirl! That engagement scene today made me want to absolutely gag! I was totally expecting this over-sexed couple to start rolling around in the faux snow to “seal the deal.” To say the whole concept of these two being joined in marriage doesn’t work for me is a gross understatement! It certainly begs the question, why? (Make that why, why, WHY?????) Julian is a much hotter partner when paired with the luscious Olivia, and if he is so inclined to play “happy family,” he should be doing it with the mother of his infant son, where he can provide a proper upbringing for little Leo. It’s utterly ridiculous to think of him committing to the likes of the overbearing, underwhelming Alexis….all they do is act like randy teenagers every chance they get….they couldn’t even put up their Christmas tree without resorting to their “default position”……Not to mention that these two already appear so mismatched in terms of age, and it will only become more obvious with the passing years! Please, please, please let Liv work her “Christmas sweater magic” on Julian and spare him the indignity of being matrimonially stuck with Ms. Davis. By the way, did you notice they recycled her dress for the Nutcracker Gala? I distinctly recall that matronly “peek-a-boo” number from a prior Nurses’ Ball. Having said that, I’ve many other impressions to share regarding the fashions that were on parade at this event, as I’m sure you do, as well…but they shall have to wait until tomorrow! Just wanted to say hello….by the way, I twice answered your “Scorpio” thread post and even implored for a private send to you the second time. I’m assuming that was for naught?????
@Shay:
Good heaven Shay, oh, Shay!! I was enjoying my favorite salad when everything became a blur and almost chocked…LAUGHING!!!!!! (“Make that why, why, WHY?????). I could hear you!! It sent me into hysterics. Reading it was like being in the room with you ,having lunch together as we discussed our favorite sex-kitten’s satisfied purr sound like an “ouch and AHHH, my back…..!!!!!!” However, Shay; she has been looking pretty decent lately. No elongated cleavage in sight. I think Nancy is pretty. It’s just her personality that unnerves me. And, yes. This couple is as mismatched as Julian and Sam being father and daughter. Actually, thinking about it, he and she are better suited as a couple….looks, and age.
I did notice the recycled dress….but, what I found extremely atrocious was Christina’s dress/split-down-the-middle gown? What was that thing? It looked like priests’s vestments, ready to say Mass. So atrocious for a young woman….or anybody. And, supposedly that came from Molly’s closet?
Yes, your post was for naught or nought….take your pick in spelling. Sometimes autocorrect makes ‘naught’, sometimes ‘nought’. Both spelling is accepted. I may still get it.
Going to the city later until Christmas Eve morning. So, sweetie. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Have a really fun time. Don’t eat too much, HaHa. I know I WILL.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!! My good friends and all. Send you, figuratively speaking, LOL.
Correction: should read..see you ( figuratively); not send.
Well, CeeCeeGirl, I’m ever so glad that I gave you the gift of a good laugh for Christmas….except for the part about your salad almost getting in the way!!!! And yes, I did nearly let out an audible groan when Julian proposed….that is just SO wrong on so many levels!!!! I can only hope that some holiday miracle will transpire to release him from the sexually-charged clutches of the insatiable Alexis before she actually makes it down the aisle! (I shudder to think of her wedding attire……LOL!) At any rate, our minds were in sync on that fashion atrocity in which Kristina was so proudly parading around….Good Lord, WHAT was that creation? It looked liked someone took two different hideous dresses and thought, what the heck, let’s combine them for an even more appalling piece of apparel. Oy! (I also have to admit I simply cannot fathom the reason for this current version of the character….the last incarnation was extremely attractive…still quite bratty and difficult, but somehow not as annoying as this one. She just turns me off in a very big way.) As for Sam and Julian, I’ve often thought they could have made for a most fitting couple in all ways physical had the writers not felt the need to make him her father…such a missed opportunity for them! (But I also think he absolutely sizzles with the very sexy Liv….she’s such a complete woman! Strong, independent, and gutsy, yet very earthy, domestic and maternal at the same time!) Needless to say, along with the departure of Sappy, a pairing of Julian and Olivia is on my Christmas short list of wishes! Which leads me to offering you—-and your remarkable, fabulous family—-a blessed and happy holiday season, especially those two little shining stars of yours, Nico and Rosalba! Have a safe and joyous time in the city…..after which I shall very much look forward to resuming our (often too moderated) correspondence in 2016. Take care and “Buon Natale,” mia amica!
And MOST importantly, does the Krampus tradition Liesl Obrecht started last year endure???? LOL!
I hope so!!
I hope not!
Krampus Krampus Krampus !!!!!
Love the Krampus !!
He is of christmas as much as Santa, just not loved by all in America..
While that may not come to fruition, check out Kathleen Gati’s Twitter page…..she pays homage to Krampus and waxes nostalgically about Dr. O.’s part in bringing him to Port Charles last Christmas! There’s even mention of the new movie by the same name……..
I agree Michael should not have forgiven Sonny though I understand his underlying love for him. Conflicted, complex.
What I REALLY can’t stand is that Michael now doesn’t even mention AJ. If the writers felt a need to bring Michael back to the Corinthos fold because of their need…he should have still kept the Quartetmaine name and declared himself still, regardless of his love for Sonny, son of AJ. Particularly in light of the custody battle for Avery. Sonny should have an awakening of how AJ must have felt being forced out of Michaels life, and Michael should realize how AJ must have felt…and all the years of being father and son they were denied.
They gave AJ a few months of justice and then undid it. Ugh! Don’t get me started! 🙂
Hmm…yes, and will we ever be gratified by Jason’s reaction upon learning that his BFF murdered his brother in cold blood and never paid the price for it?
Yeah, you’re right, Harry. But, do you think that zig Jason had any memory of his brother, he would think differently and more importantly behave differently towards Sonny? I hope that will be the case. I hate to think of a resumed alliance between the two.
But we knew from the start it couldn’t last, right? I just enjoyed it and was glad they played it out at all. Five years ago, even, that storyline would never have aired—Sonny could do no wrong and anything he did was perfect just because he did it and the rightness of Sonny could not be questioned. So although I knew it would not last, I appreciated even the brief respite from Sonny worship. But I also agree that the subsequent events have not made much sense at all, and Michael now looks like a dope.
As far as I’m concerned,,, these writers have completely RUINED GH!!!
Maybe they need to read comments that have been on social media,,,

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
