General Hospital’s Lucy Coe Previews 2025 Nurses’ Ball Teases Lucky Spencer, Magic Milo and Unexpected Surprise on Wish List to Perform, Reveals Airdate
On April 1st, as part of General Hospital’s 62nd anniversary, the long-running ABC soap opera announced that they are bringing back the GH Nurses’ Ball. More details on the upcoming 2025 edition of the popular Port Charles HIV/AIDS fundraiser and awareness driver have come to light, now that the official mistress of ceremonies and producer of the ball, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) has dropped an interview with Port Charles news station WXPC.
At the beginning of her breaking news segment, ABC7’s Los Angeles entertainment guru George Pennacchio tosses to the piece with ABC’s Robert Nunez doing the voice-over. Nunez is actually the Director of Communications at the Disney/ABC Television Group. In the send-up, Nunez notes that two years since the light’s went dark at the 2023 Nurses Ball, mistress of ceremonies, Lucy Coe is ready to bring the famed charity event back to Port Charles.
With Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) solely underwriting this year’s Nurses Ball, Lucy Coe shares she has big plans for the performances to bring down the house, sharing her shortlist of who will take the stage at the Metro Court Hotel ballroom, “First, Lucky (Jonathan Jackson), obviously, c’mon, and the Magic Milos are a crowd favorite for the guys and gals. They’re the best. I really want a surprise for you guys. I really want somebody who is so totally unexpected that it just takes your breath away and I have some big plans.”

Later, Lucy laughs when during the interview they try to get some intel on just what dresses she will be wearing on the big night. She pipes back, “Those gowns are top secret. So, no one sees them till the day. So, shut your mouth!” Herring’s Lucy Coe has hosted the Nurses Ball created by former GH EP, Wendy Riche, since its inception in 1994. The event was held every year until 2001, only to return in 2013 under current EP Frank Valentini with 2024 being the year it was not part of the soap as the series gave it a rest.

During the “news” segment its also revealed that the 2025 Nurses’ Ball red carpet kicks-off on the Tuesday, May 20th episode of General Hospital. Stay tuned to see what storylines collide, what big surprises are in store, and when Lucy will lose her dress onstage!

Miguel and Blaze
Would love to see Blaze return, if only for a short stint over the Nurse’s Ball. And glad to hear that Magic Milo will return – they are always so much fun:)
The Nurses Balls were great–However, the recent Balls have umm sucked..
I don’t agree the nurses ball has always been a good time
Sucks is a strong word, but yes I 100% agree!lol If you watched since the very first one in 1994 and all of the 90’s, you would really understand how amazing the balls were!
All the older ones was the best . Glad to see Milo coming back.hope it alot of fun an no gets killed off . There can be all the drama they want but with out the killing…
Not really!!! Not as good as older ones. There was few that was good not all bad
Can’t wait for the nurses ball
I’m going to miss Valentin not being there to perform.
Going to miss Valentin period!
I hope Something big happens during the nurses ball, like the good old day general hospital
I definitely want to see magic Milo again I love those guys, it would be nice to see Marco up there strip for his boyfriend, and I would love to see Jocelyn and Trina and Kai do a duet together
That would be fun
Sho knows if joss will perform
Yay, the nurses ball is back!!! Can’t wait
Can they PLEASE get rid of the nurses’ ball once and for all??
Well, at the very least, they should ban all musical performances, except for those who actually HAVE musical talent. No more autotune EVER. Get off the stage, Detective Chase!
Hell, even if they had to show Val the Bastard doing a satellite linked performance from Steinmauer Prison, at least he could actually sing and play piano.
Or just don’t watch those two days. The nurses ball is corny but fun. It’s a great way to showcase the talents of the actors other talents.
Mostly, I love Fiona Hughes’ dancing. After all, she did star as John Travolta’s romantic interest and dance partner in Staying Alive. Another call out to get John on GH along with his sister who plays Gloria Cerullo.
Thanks, I’ve been dying to see Fiona dance even if it’s without John.
lol that would be one way to get rid of Lucy–dump the nurses ball- Lucy makes my brain bleed…
Hi Suooo, been long time. Just had to reply, I can’t stand Lucy either, so annoying and obnoxious! Thought I was the only one. Stay well!
Neither are going away any time soon.
It would be nice to show Lynn Herring’s dramatic side again. Too often, Lucy is just played for laughs. When Jenz was talking about missing time with Marco, that should have been an opening for Lucy to discuss how much she misses Serena. Would also be nice to have a visit from Aunt Charlene – as we know Maree Cheatham is still acting.
Oh, so I’m not the only one. I have never since day one liked this character. Ever. She grates on my nerves like no other.
Maybe you just don’t watch those days
A lot of us love the nurses ball!
Bring back luke spencer too the nurses ball sirprize tracy an the others too
That ship has sailed.
It sailed right from the Amsterdam port to the Sonny’s pier in Port Charles! Luke will be disboarding soon.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
