  • General Hospital airs a special episode in tribute to the late Anthony Geary and the iconic character he played of Luke Spencer on Friday, February 20.
  • In the just released promo, characters participating include: Sonny Corinthos, Carly Spencer, Tracy Quartermaine, Elizabeth Webber, and Lulu Spencer.
  • Executive producer, Frank Valentini previously teased, “We wanted to revisit some of Luke’s most iconic adventures and unforgettable moments, along with a few rarely seen ones.”

This Friday, every memory leads back to Luke Spencer as General Hospital gets set to air a special episode in remembrance of the the late Anthony Geary and the iconic character he played. The eight-time Daytime Emmy-winning star passed away on December 14, 2025 at the age of 78.

In the just released ABC promo, gathered at the pier lighting candles in tribute to Luke are: Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening).

As a preview of the episode, the video teaser shows Lulu looking at a picture of Luke as she says, “Hi, dad.” After Sonny has a reflection and memory of first meeting Luke, we see Laura in a puddle of tears remembering Luke and expressing, “Thank you for the love of a lifetime.”  In the promo’s final moments, Tony Geary is seen in Luke’s farewell episode from 2015, with his voice heard over the clips saying, “It’s time to go.”

General Hospital’s executive producer, Frank Valentini previously shared on the upcoming February 20 episode, “For decades, Tony Geary brought daytime television’s ultimate antihero, Luke Spencer, to life. We wanted to honor Tony and his extraordinary legacy in the most meaningful way possible, and this special episode of General Hospital gives viewers the opportunity to revisit some of Luke’s most iconic adventures and unforgettable moments, along with a few rarely seen ones. And who better to share those memories than the people of Port Charles who knew and loved him.”

Back on the January 23, 2026 episode of GH; a special “loving montage” was shown at the end of the episode as the first part of the soap honoring the contributions of Tony Geary. The montage included a few clips with the iconic star and cast reflections from: Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis), Laura Wright (Carly) and Genie Francis (Laura).

HOW LUKE ORIGINALLY DIED

In story, it was back in 2022 that GH decided to kill-off the character of Luke off-screen when Tracy revealed on New Years Day, that he has been killed in a cable car accident in Austria which later was revealed to be at the hands of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). There was an on-screen memorial for Luke in late January of that year.

After Geary retired from General Hospital in 2015, and moved full-time to Amsterdam to be with his now husband Claudio Gama, he only made one other final appearance and that was in 2017 when Tracy was written-off the canvas and went to Europe, after Jane Elliot decided at the time to leave the series. To write-off Tracy, Luke appeared for a quick scene in a coffee shop illustrating that the duo were together.

You can check out the ABC promo for Friday’s General Hospital entitled, “Remembering Luke Spencer” below.

So, are you looking forward to the remembrances and the flashbacks and some never-shown-before footage, plus some touching moments from the characters who had a past with Luke Spencer? Let us know via the comment section below.

This is awesome, only complaint is that they didnt include lucy!! She was good freinds with luke for years and it wouldve been nice for her to be included .

And Scotty. There’s no deep connection or history with this Lulu, this Carly, and barely one with Sonny (which for some reason, they want to push). The only ones involved who had a strong bond with Luke are Laura and Tracy. I don’t recall Lucy being that strongly connected with Luke the way you do. And honestly, Lucy gets on my last nerve with all of her rapid and breathless speaking.

The Sonny & Luke friendship was a real thing. They had similar back stories… raised in abusive homes. Turned to the mob for lack of a better option. Both of them started out running money laundering operations for Frank Smith (Luke had the campus disco, and Sonny had the strip club) and they took Frank Smith down together.

I do agree with you that Lucy being involved is a bit much as I don’t remember her being all that close to Luke. Lulu, on the other horn, is Luke’s daughter, so of course she should be there, even though this version of Lulu never had any scenes with Luke. And of course it’s a crime that Lucky won’t be there. Or Ethan, for that matter. Even though his existence was one of the dumbest rewrites ever.

Alexis (or Natasha, as Luke called her) should be included more than Lucy, actually.

Like @Larry Stephens, I had the same thought and recollection regarding Lucy. As for Sonny, I’m entirely with you, but the show for many years has wanted “to push” Sonny down viewers’ throats, always trying to make the abusive, murderous thug/mob boss more palatable, even to the point of Sonny having a “friendship” with Laura.

And to me, it was a travesty for Geary’s final episode to include scenes with Sonny, so that Luke could somehow pass the oversight of Port Charles onto Sonny, in other words, passing the leading man torch. It was all so contrived.

Not interested in characters way back. So tired of Luke Luke Luke and the bunch of afro hair style then. Need men with regular hair like Dante’s

Go lay down.

If wasn’t for “Luke Luke Luke” GH probably wouldn’t have made it past 20 years, yet alone almost 63.

1 sould love to see that. i remember when luke and laura firxt started and every thing.

I wish they would have gotten Lucky to come on. I love GH.

Lucky should of been included in this Tribute To Luke! It doesn’t seem complete to have Laura & Lulu but not Lucky given that when Luke & Laura returned to the story line after marrying it was with there children Lucky & Lulu as young kids! I remember this as a very important part.. not only the return of Tony Geary to the cast of General Hospital but as an intricate part of Luke’s life! But as they say..”And The Rest Is History!”
R.I.P. Luke Spencer (aka) Tony Geary

Lucky was the only non-current cast member shown in the episode.

I’m very put off by this. This character should not be celebrating; you want to celebrate Tony? I understand. But Luke? No, thank you.

Agree. We already saw a tribute to Luke, we needed a tribute to Tony and all his epic storylines; not to mention that Alexa Havins’ Lulu never knew Luke.

But what does the actress have to do with it. Whether you agree or not, this is a tribute to AG through the character of Luke. And Lulu is Luke’s daughter, so it’s obvious that she’d be included, whether it’s AH, ER, or JMB.

It’s their way of honoring both Tony and the character of Luke, who like it or not, was one of the most important characters in the history of the show. Yes, a character with a dark, complicated past punctuated by an ugly moment when Luke raped Laura. Something that has been acknowledged on the show in storyline form numerous times in the years since. But why wouldn’t they honor him, as they did Bobbie/Jackie, Monica/Leslie, and hopefully at some point soon Tristan/Robert? Tony and Luke deserve it. Sorry, I don’t get why anyone would complain about this.

In the cases of those other actors you mentioned, their roles hadn’t already been written off. Geary left the role of Luke in 2015, and the character was killed off in 2022, so it is not as if Luke is recently dead. Plus, continuing to try and glorify a rapist is off-putting to me.

Secondly, I’d have no issues with honouring Tony in the way that The Young and the Restless honoured both Jeanne Cooper and Kristoff St John. This is clearly filler content (as evident by its episodic number).

And they already confirmed they would be honouring Tristan Rogers at some point later this year in-story.

Cannot wait to watch the special episode hope it’s going to be really good hope they show good scenes with sunny and Luke Luke and Bobby and Luke and Carly and Luke and his children there will be no General Hospital if it wasn’t for Luke Spencer he made this soap opera what it was and what it is today his legacy will live on forever May Anthony Gary rest in peace ❤️

Punctuation is a wonderful thing.

Stop that.

Luke Luke LOL

Ha! Reminds me of a character from an old Cheers episode, Andy Andy.

I’m looking forward to this episode. I just wish GH would have included Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) in this tribute episode. I’m sure he’ll be included in some of the flashback scenes. Of course Laura and Lulu should be in this episode, but I’m happy to see they included Elizabeth. I remember some of the scenes Luke and Elizabeth shared after Lucky died and the scenes they shared after Jake died. But the storyline about Liz’s rape, which led to Lucky discovering his dad raped Laura, earned Daytime Emmy nominations for all three and Emmy wins for Tony and JJ. Sonny and Luke were business partners, co-owners of Luke’s club and close friends in the mid 90s. I don’t think Carly and Luke were ever close, but she is Bobbie’s daughter so it makes sense she’s there.

I love this! I remember skipping school to watch Luke and Laura’s wedding! He was an incredible actor and a true legend, may he rest in peace.

Where is Joshua Jackson as Lucky to say goodbye to his father Luke????

Maybe it to hard for lucky to say goodbye maybe that’s why he isn’t in it and plus Joshua Jackson is to busy plus he already greaving from his close friend from Dawson creek so mayb that’s why

You mean Jonathan Jackson.

I really wish they had done a story – some sort of mystery adventure that involved having to save Robert and Luke which could have brought in all the characters – Mac and Felicia, Anna and Robin, lucky, Elizabeth, Sonny,Lucy, Tracy. They could have built it up and had montages from the old days to lead to a celebration of both actors lives and contributions to the show.

Tristan deserves his own separate remembrance – which will likely come later this year as the show addresses Robert’s passing in a full story arc.

Luke has been considered dead in story for years now. Friday’s stand alone episode should be a nice way to acknowledge Tony’s legacy without impacting story.

The actual episode may have more character/actor participation than those shown in the promo, for all alleged “fans” already complaining about who’s in it/not in it before the episode even airs ffs…

My thing is yes Luke was a part of GH but what about Tristen aka Robert he has passed why not remember him?

Yes!! I cried for days after hearing and seeing he had passed. This will give him a proper send off and for fans/long time viewers of Luke and Laura a way to say a final good bye.

Also, I agree with other posts, you should’ve shown or gotten Lucky, Ethan, Nikolas and Scotty and any others that were on during Luke’s time- it would’ve made it so Luke’s “Family” all showed their respects for their father, friend, or what have you. I just hope it gives him a good send off. If not I’m gonna be expecting a stellar send off for Robert!!!!

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”

In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.

It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.

Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?

Published

on

By

On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.

As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.

Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Courtesy/ABC

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.

BROTHERLY LOVE?

Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”

With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”

BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE

Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Reveals His Plan to Set Up Chase and Willow to Have an Affair

Published

on

By

After the Wednesday, April 29 episode of General Hospital, it’s clear outside interference and other circumstances are set to blow Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) marriage sky high, as Michael (Rory Gibson) reveals his plans to entrap Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and use her relationship with Chase to do it!

In story, Michael dropped by unexpectedly to Carly’s (Laura Wright). A plotting Michael reveals his plan to nudge Willow and Chase into having an affair. Michael hopes it would create both a political and personal scandal, where Willow would lose her seat in congress. In the scenario, she would be having an affair with her ex-husband, while taking care of her supposed disabled husband, Drew (Cameron Mathison), who cannot speak and is confined to a wheelchair, which in turn will look horrible for Willow’s character.

Carly asked does he really want to destroy his cousin, Brook Lynn’s life in the process? Michael goes in on Chase’s holier than thou attitude, and says he is going to set-up the circumstances that would lead Chase and Willow to betray their spouses, and hit the sheets together. Michael swears to Carly what the two of them do is up to them, but he’s going to go on the offense with this.

MICHAEL HAS BACK-UP

Later, Jacinda (Paige Herschell) is talking with Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) at Crimson and how much she dislikes Willow because of what she has done to Michael. Just then, Michael shows up and tells Jacinda privately, he’s figured out a way to fight Willow. Looks like Jacinda might work with Michael to bring down Willow and use Chase as the person to do it!

At the hospital, Lucas (Van Hansis) tells Josslyn (Eden McCoy) that Carly is cheating on Jack, but he doesn’t know with who. Josslyn suddenly flashes back to the moment she found her mother harboring a fugitive, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), in her attic, and as figured out that her mother is sleeping with him. She heads out.

Courtesy/ABC

BRENNAN IS ABOUT TO LEARN ABOUT CARLY

Next thing you know, Josslyn has showed up inside Jack’s (Chris McKenna) hotel room at the Metro Court and when he enters his room, he is shocked to find her there. He lays into her for not keeping his distance and that Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) will have no problem killing her if he knows she’s WSB. Josslyn fires back that he is only concerned about that because his relationship with her mother depends on her being safe. But then, she lays the boom, and tells Jack, Well, you’re too late. You already lost her.”

LULU GETS A GLIMPSE OF CASSIUS’ TEMPER

In addition, Lulu (Alexa Havins) sees a different side of “Nathan.” Since she is unaware that the man before her is his twin, Cassius Fasion (Ryan Paevey), he tells her that Rocco (Finn Carr) blabbed that he shot Cullum to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and now he thinks they should send him away to stop him from talking to everyone else. This concerns Lulu, who rails at Nathan for telling her what to do with her son and that she isn’t going to abandon him. With “Nathan’s” outburst at her on the matter, will she finally get a clue this is not the man she thinks it is?

So, what do you think of Michael’s plan to push Willow and Chase into an affair? Will it work or backfire? Do you think Joss will reveal that Valentin is the man sleeping with Carly to Brennan, which will send him in a rage? Will Lulu continue to be clueless about “Nathan?” Weigh-in via the comment section below. But first, take a look at the GH video tease for today’s April 30 episode.
