GENERAL HOSPITAL: On The Bridge, Robin Explains To Jason Their Past!

On Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital it was Kimberly McCullough (Robin) front and center stage alongside Billy Miller as Jason, as Robin finally meets up with her friend, and on the same bridge no less, which has been such a vital and key part to both their pasts and ultimately their futures.

In an extremely touching performance by McCullough, Robin explains to Jason, who can’t recall any part of their past, how they fell in love, how they broke-up, and how without Jason she would not have become a doctor, had a family, and became the woman she is today.   Robin even recounted her love story with Stone, and that she contracted HIV, and did not know whether she wanted a life on the then cocktail protocol.

She goes to say that Jason was the boy with no past when she met him.  Robin knew him originally as Jason Quartermaine, and not Jason Morgan.  But after his original accident, and he became Jason M, the two connected.   Ultimately, his choosing to continue to work for Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Robin not wanting to be a part of that world, ended their romantic time together.

As Robin explains theit past, Jason seems to begin to muster up some deep emotion for her and feels comfortable the way she seems to be willing to accept him as he is, which is something he did for her many years ago.   As the conversation ends,  Robin says she still has faith in Jason and kisses him on the cheek and leaves.  Later, Jason  has a sudden fragment of a memory of a young Robin (complete with old GH clip) talking to him on the bridge.

What did you think of the scenes on the bridge between Jason and Robin?  The performance of Kimberly McCullough? Will Robin’s chat get through to the memories of Jason? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

It felt genuine and natural….not contrived, Robin simply stating facts.
Had she come across Steve Burton/Jason on that bridge…it would
have been perfection.

Hi, Fanny.
Hope you had a great Christmas with your loved ones.
I said something to that effect, also. Robin and this Jason were so at ease with each other, it was impressive considering they never worked together before. I loved it! Later, my lady.

@CeeCee…Sweetness, hope your Christmas with family & friends
was filled with equal amounts of happiness and cheer.
Totally agree with you CeeCee, their scene together was impressive.

Thank you, Fanny….God Bless!

It wasn’t good it wasn’t bad..

For me their backstory was like reading the same book for the 3rd time to kill time .. lol

Most the scenes were a talking repeat of what we had already known or seen/ a rerun thing..

OUCH su0000.. I thought it was great….

I bet you would had liked it better if Helene had Jason under mind control and pushed Robin off that bridge…lol

@Jimh…And the hits keep on coming…good one.

Hi, su,
That is true to a certain extend, su….only because it is a soap and we expect movement. Yes, I understand. But, we can also equate this to real life. It is a very natural and normal happening that when friends and family get together, we tend to repeat the same stories, no matter how many times we have heard or said them before. With my family it’s usually poking fun of everyone for having done something stupid or having made a faux pas, in the past.
I especially enjoyed Robin and Jason as they sort of ‘reminisced’. The Scorpios together was a treat for me since I had never experience the family dynamics before…..I loved it!
So, GH got a pass from me, only because of the Holidays, Robin’s rescue and the Drakes’ send-off.
Take heart, my friend, albeit I truly, truly get the monotony…..Let’s get moving….give us something new and exciting, right? Later.

Hey CeeCee, I am really glad you got a “taste” of the Scorpios. They are wonderful and my favorite GH family. And Robin and Jason…aaah. Someday when you have time you should go to “that site” and access the first scenes where Robin is introduced. Kim was only seven. She is special to a lot of us because we got to see her grow up on screen, absolutely a unique occurrence in daytime. She made her debut 30 years ago, dropped off at Robert’s doorstep. She did not know he was her dad, and she called him “Robbie.” It was too cute. You will also then see Robert in his heyday. The Scorpios really are special. I am so glad you “loved it!” You saw a lot of advance excitement about them from us, and I was worried you would be disappointed. Glad you were not!

@Tristan.
Hi, Tristan.
I can certainly identify. I started watching OLTL when I was only ten years old. I loved the show because Kristen Alderson was a kid herself….only six….and, grew up on set just like Kimberly. It was heartbreaking for me when the show was cancelled.
No, I wasn’t disappointed. I was truly moved, Tristan. Thank you for caring. I actually did catch a couple of early episodes with Robin as a child. Her nanny, Filomena, I think, reminded me of my own nanny. I was familiar with Finola since she also appeared on AMC, in which my Gran also watched. I usually watched what my Gran watched; sadly GH wasn’t on that list, lol. I definitely am glad I started watching. I do have my faves and I do tend to critique the show. But I also praise it…keep it on an even keel, right?
I truly did appreciate getting to ‘know’ this family, as a whole….amazing, for the little time it lasts.
Happy New Year, Tristan. Many more!!

CeeCee, I know exactly what you mean about OLTL being cancelled. I watched As the World Turns from when I was six years old until it was cancelled and I bawled my eyes out. My mom and I used to be able to turn it on in the radio in our car and we’d listen and guess what was happening when suspenseful music was playing with no dialog. Now my mom and ATWT are both gone, but I’ll treasure those memories forever. Also, I hope your family is kind when they poke fun about past mistakes. My husband’s fam has a habit of doing that, and I’m not an assertive person, but I get upset and tell them to knock it off. The past is the past. No reason to make someone suffer multiple times for the same regret. Ugh, it bothers me. Happy new year!!!

I thought it was a great effort to acknowledge history and give new viewers some important backstory. WITHOUT re-writing major story elements (as is tragically common with these types of scenes in soaps nowadays…)

@Ashleigh.
Happy New Year, Ashleigh. Did you have your baby? If so, I hope mommy and baby are doing well.
Lol, my friend. The teasing among we siblings is all in good fun, usually directed to my 20-year old brother who would pull so many stunts as a teen…… Such as climbing out of his bedroom window at night, and get caught each and every time. Stuff like that……Or my eldest sister and her best friend would write ‘excuse’ notes for each other to get out of class. They would get in trouble, of course. Lol. Then, we tease my Dad, who was in a hurry on morning and actually went to work wearing two different shoes.
OLTL is a sore subject with me. I still miss all those people so much. Everyone was like family to me. When it was canceled, I too, cried my eyes out. It was like a big chunk of my life was taken away. This is why I always fear that the remaining soaps will be taken away….how devastating; I shudder thinking about it. Take care.

Correction….among us, not we.

It was a great scene–totally necessary and “natural.”

Sigh! On this subject, Suoo is building her own bridge of sighs.

The scenes on the bridge were beautifully well written and acted. Kimberly was really present and committed in these scenes and Billy Miller showed what he is capable of. The one thing that distracted me is that after a year of absolutely nobody recognizing Jake as Jason, Robin immediately knew who he was when he said hello. This was the first time she had seen him with his new face! It gave me a chuckle…thankfully the ensuing scenes drew me in 100%. Long live GH! P.S. – I also found it funny that Paul Hornsby texted the evil Raj, whose name he used and apparently has in his phone. Not exactly a mastermind villain move.

Love this post–thank you for saying it so well. Not only did Robin recognize Jason, he recognized her despite having no memory.

As for me? I loved it and since brevity is the soul of wit, I shall leave it at that.

Gentlemen…As “Jake” Jason saw Robin’s photo at Patrick’s
even picked it up and asked who she was… Because while
recovering at the hospital she appeared to him out of know-
where…

I loved it also!

That’s right, Fanny.

I, too, made the assumption that Jason had ample opportunity to see Robin’s picture in town to recognize him. Her recognition of him, I think, just naturally flowed from being called by name by the man on the bridge she had been talking about with Elizabeth, as well as the significance of the location to both of them through the years. I liked the scene & rehash of history, finding it appropriate for this new Jason without a memory of his past – yet.

WHY doesn’t ANYONE say to this brain damaged murderer…”Hey bro!!!!! You were going to be a DOCTOR and SAVE lives!!!!!!! Sorry that Snarly Carly Mob Moll Extraordinaire got a hold of you…grow a set!!!! Go back to being a doctor instead of a murderer!”

maybe now he will be go back to school to be a doctor.. maybe that is why they had the scene on the bridge.. he can choose a new life.. He has 9…..

I can’t like this enough.

Speaking of Snarly Carly and Groundhogs Day with Sonny, where did her erstwhile brother Lucas go?! We get 3,000 scenes with Sonny and Carly until I want to stab my tv. But Lucas doesn’t get so much as a under five once a month. Sheesh.

The Jason stuff took waaaay too long to reveal. Can we pick up the pace already.

Teenage Kimberly did not age into a credible adult actor. Her decision to take up directing is wise and I wish her every great success.

Yes! I agree completely.

Dylan, i i’m not picking on you since your not the only person who always brings up wanting jason to be or want to be a doctor again but tell me, is he suppose to become one within a few months? i just think at this point in the characters history, that dream is long gone.

If the guy can get shot, be brought back to life, have his face totally reconstructed, lose his entire memory, end up just happening to fall in love with his past love, be subjected to mind control, etc….I think they could possibly find a way to turn him into a doctor. I mean….they’ve explained Robin repeatedly leaving her beloved daughter and we bought it. Just saying, soap fans are pretty forgiving. That being said, I wouldn’t want him working on me.

Robin came as close to anyone intimating as such, Dylan. I think that is as close as we are going to get.
But here is what I am wondering–is there going to be a scene in which Jason, who now seems to abhor violence while fearing his own proclivity for violence, finds out that his BFF Sonny murdered his brother in cold blood and got away with it?

Dylan, I hate to say it but you called Jason what he is, “a brain damaged murderer.” He would never get into med school, let alone have the smarts to become a dr., because of all that brain damage. He needs to find something legal and moral that doesn’t tax too much of what IS left of his brain.

He can’t ever be a doctor again. He has a rap sheet. They don’t take doctors with rap sheets

Oh, really???? Ever heard of Dr. Liesl Obrecht? I know, I know, her most recent charges were “dropped,” but in Port Charles, no crime ever goes unpardoned….except for Blackie’s!

KM did a great job, but the scenes were a let down for me. I wish someone would just say to Jason it is ok to be who you are now. A third incarnation. Monica, Robin and Liz accept him as is. Sam has accepted him as her friend. Jason should realize he belongs with Liz or no one for awhile.

I love Lizzy and so it pains me to say this, but she accepts Jason for who he is because the Jason who embraces Sonny’s world cannot embrace her simultaneously.
Her reasons are selfish and I think she even admits it.

“Ultimately, his choosing to work for Sonny and Robin not wanting to be a part of that world, ended their romantic time together.”

I think GH might want to check their history because while Jason and Robin did initially break up because his involvement with the mob they ended up reconciling and their “romantic time” REALLY ended because Robin told AJ that Jason was a lying liar for claiming to be Michael’s father and Jason got all mad for being called out.

Oh wait — we can’t let something like facts paint St. Jason in an unfavorable light…

Alan, your right…FACT CHECK!!!

Wrong. They had broken up a day or two before she told AJ. Robin and Jason were NOT together when she went to Carly’s house to tell Jason that she told AJ about Michael to protect Michael and Jason from Carly. You can see the video on Youtube of when she tells AJ. AJ says ” I heard you and Jason broke up”, Robin says “Jason told you?” and AJ says “no, Carly”.. Robin then tells AJ about Michael.. perhaps in some small way as a payback to Carly.. but moreso to get Jason back from Carly. It backfired.

Exactly! But it wasn’t her place to tell either. She did it for selfish reasons, of not wanting Jason to be the father.

Robin was not being selfish and Jason, Sonny and Carly were horrid to her after she did the right thing by both Michael and AJ.
Not allowing AJ to be a father to his own child was a heinous thing to do.
Robin always knew that Carly was and is a destructive, possessive and controlling force. This was the first time I hated that unholy trinity that is Sonny, Carly and Jason.
Sonny was especially disappointing because he loved Robin like a daughter after Stone died. Both Sonny and Jason owed Robin better. She did the right thing and it took courage.

I agree with Harry–“she did the right thing.”

AJ was a self destructing drunken con man.

Alcoholism
Admitted to an alcohol rehab program
Nearly died of alcohol poisoning and admitted to a detox program.
AJ was responisiable for Jason’s brain damage, AJ was driving drunk..

I can see why Carly would not want AJ to have Michael.

su Your right bad AJ . he tried to pour Booze down a dry recovering alcoholic, made him think he would kill him if he didn’t sign over his son, told him he had already made his family think he was dead in a drunken car accident.made businesses pay protection money. amoung other mob things.he ran the mob. He sent a brain damaged man to kill his so called enemies. He abused and gave drugs to a sexually abused teen to get her to dance on his bar. He stole another mans son, The mother of ths child the one that was sooo much better than the father, oured booze and drugs down him lied to half the town about childs paternity. slept with her mother husband because she didn’t raise her in a brothel. They killed a man in cold blood for no reason other than he was getting close to his son. AJ did drive drunk, but no one forced Jason to jump in the car. If you are dumb enough to get into a car with a drunk driver you have to also take responsibility for what happens to you. Saint Courtney killed a cop. and let zander take the blame AJ wanted his son. he fought the only way you can with a dirty mobster. dirty. You actually think Sonny was ever as good as a man who had a diesese? Alcoholism .When AJ was cleaning up his act, Scummy and Snarly did the best they could to destroy him. AJ DID NOT KILL CONNIE. AVA DID AND THE CHARACTERS ON THIS SHOW ARE ALMOST ALL MURDERERS,

.

I totally agree with you Janet. I loved AJ and couldnt stand everything you just described that was done to him. Not only that, but he lived in Jason’s shadow. Even Emily showed favoritism to Jason. The only Q that was ever totally in his corner was Skye. It was heartbreaking…his life and his death.

I am at a serious loss here. Really??? Any of you are attempting to show how bad AJ was, as compared to Sonny?? Rack up a list of how many characters who have been shot, maimed, injured, and murdered directly because of Sonny. All AJ ever did was try to be a better person and a better father, and continually had to use underhanded means to do that. Sonny hung the guy on a freakin’ meat hook, and forced him to sign away his parental rights!! That does NOT make him Michael’s father, that makes him Michael’s kidnapper!! Even though at LEAST 20 characters have directly met their fate as a result of Sonny’s murderous greed, somehow he still gets hailed as a good, loyal man, and a great father. He has repeatedly threatened to kill Carly, and was even close to killing his beloved “son” when
michael turned on him. What do you people do for fun in REAL life, when you are not worshipping fictional murderers??? WOW! Sometimes I am seriously ashamed to be part of humanity!

I liked the bridge story with Robin and Jason. Thought Kim and Billy really pulled it off, especially since I don’t think they’ve ever done scenes with each other before. Simple, no distraction, like climbing to the top of the mountain and experiencing time out of time for a few minutes for those of us who remember Robin and Jason back when.

It was a very touching conversation between Robin and Jason. Both of them did a great job. It felt sincere.

The actors were outstanding , but the writers did not do ther due diligence. They didn’t break up because of Jason working for So my, they broke up because Robin spilled the beans about Michael being AJ’s. As far as Robin recognizing him, I wa bothered at first but the. I remembered thy she saw him before he was hit by the car.

Right – she saw him BEFORE he was hit by the car when he still had his original Steve Burton face.

The scene was beautiful well done between robin/Jason

that scene had me aching wishing Kim would stay, realizing she’s only there for a little time makes the scene more poignant.

When I saw Robin and Jason on the bridge I thought of CeeCee. She had stated that she wasnt to familiar with Robin and Jason and their history. Well C, THAT was it in a nutshell. Two people who loved and supported each other and never had nothing but respect and supported each other. People seem to have a problem with Robin nowadays but this was a scene to remind fans that Robin was a sweet sweet girl who held many hands back in the nineties. The 2000’s, she just hasnt been on a lot to solidify her legacy. I loved the bridge scenes and it reminded me of what used to be. su0000, give the writers credit OR ELSE!

I see it, Timmm; and, I thank you. So well said, my friend. I really fell in love with Robin within a couple of episodes. She made a resounding impact on me. Kimberly seems like such a nice, genuine person. I really wish she could stay. I could listen to her speak forever. Not too many people have that calming affect on me. HEALTHY AND HAPPY NEW YEAR. Luv-ya.

You need to watch Days of our lives . Patch and kayla are back on and A Martinez who played cruz castillo on santa barbara is now on Days of our lives as Eduardo . Days of our lives is a million times better than Young and restless and Bold and Beautiful . I have given up on Young and Bold and now only watch Days of our lives because it is that good !

I AGREE. I hadn’t watched for years, now I DVR it every day. In place of the MObs are us. When Scorpoi goes I will also be back out.

Oh my gosh stop it with the Jason worship he was a punk he had no problem keeping AJ from his son I guess it is ok for him to lie. Please could you get Luz out of this storyline stick her with Rick a bad guy who owns it and also doesn’t look like he needs to go to a weight watchers meeting. Pretty soon Miller will have more cleavage then Kelly Monnaco

Whilst that last sentence may be a wee bit of an exaggeration, k/kay, I will add that at least Jason’s so-called “moobage” is a far cry from that ever-present example of embonpoint, Alexis!!!!!

I truly enjoyed their scenes so much more than any scenes to date with Sam, Liz, or Carly they came across as genuine pure and unassuming that’s how real love is. Sam is to pushy and Carly is desperate and Liz urgh… I felt the two actors had real chemistry its to bad Robyn has to go but if Sam and Jason are going to work she has to lose the desperation and start over from scratch and fall in love all over again with who he is now.

I feel very much the same, for the audience to believe that
they belong together…Sam & Jason need too start fresh.

Thanks Fanny to bad Robyn has (KM) to leave I think she could have one this Jason over easily with her honesty and humbleness something lacking from all three of the women in his life now…

For many years, I have wondered what Sonny’s mob business deals with. It’s not drugs or guns so what is it? He has boats coming in with something but I don’t think it has ever been said what exactly the cargo is. Anyone out there know?

He is a “coffee importer.” And if you believe that…

Oh, I know that he is in the coffee business to cover his illegal dealings. So someone please help me figure out what the “mob” boss does that is so illegal. What does he deal in?

if you believe that, I will sell you the bridge Robin and Jason are on.

“Coffee importer” is his cover business. Until it’s specifically stated, I continue to assume that Sonny controls the Five Families with counterfeit designer goods. Fake Manolos & Birkin bags are what keep those crooks in line. 😉

Yeah, I think the writers won’t ever let on what it is he really does. They want to keep Sonny (and Jason) as bad asses but they still want them to be “good guys”. Drugs and guns are bad so they don’t deal with that. I told my girlfriend, it’s either knock off Louis Vuitton stuff or diamonds, ha ha.

From history, we know for a fact that Sonny delights in exploiting teenage strippers. We know that he emotionally and physically abuses women he claims to love. We know that he is a child kidnapper. We know that he is a cold blooded serial murderer, who feels no remorse other than getting caught. We know he is a man who would viciously shoot a cop with NO plan as to who would clean up the body…..of the carcass that was his SON. We know that he threatened to murder Carly SEVERAL times, he woman he currently claims to love. Huh? We know that he took a brain damaged 21 year old and turned him into a col, unrepentant murderer for hire. PLEASE…if ANYONE can offer me a reason why this greasy, violent, misogynistic, narcisstic, disgusting murderer is considered a GH lead, please type it for me!!!!

@CeeCee, Shay, Harry, Su000, Timmm, Jimh & ALL Soap LOVERS
here and everywhere… Wishing you good times, good cheer, & a
Memorable New Year❗️❗️❗️

Even when we disagree, this GH group here on Michael’s site is THE best around: intelligent, passionate, quirky, controversial. This is not like a middle school girl fight (the Sam and Liz fans are crazy obsessed)!!!! It is a group of adults of various ages that like to discuss GH as adults. Believe me, for a soap site this is rare! And because rare, to be treasured.

Most “rare,” to be sure, Tristan! (Well put!) I think the main difference between other “GH group sites” and the one here at MFSoaps is that no matter how—as you point out—“passionate” we may be in stating our assertions, we genuinely like most of the other posters, respect their opinions…..and often even admire them as friends of comparable intellect, interest and imagination….and it shows. As the majority demonstrates, that ethos permeates these threads, as we somehow manage to strike the perfect balance of being extremely topical, yet also going off on some highly entertaining and edifying tangents, so that one truly benefits from the chance to get to know and enjoy each other on a more personal basis, and perhaps, in the process, even learn about other various and unexpected subjects. To be sure, one can never really guess where our discussions will lead….but they are most often full of wonderful surprises! (Particularly when you consider that nobody here seems to be what many of us may have previously assumed to be the stereotypical soap fan….there is such a fabulous cross-section of demographics represented, and, at least from my perspective, few contributors could be called ordinary, but many are certainly very extraordinary! Not to mention, humorous, classy, talented and unique!) Like yourself, I have visited other GH sites—never to post, but simply to check spoilers or recaps—and I have to admit, I’ve been wholly unimpressed. The comments tend to range from immature and naïve, to merely commonplace……there’s seldom the creativity or cleverness of in-depth thinking and witty, tongue-in-cheek remarks like what we encounter here on a regular basis, and although there is undoubtedly camaraderie to be had amongst those other posters, their utterings are largely of the quite banal variety….ranging from daily reports on their weather conditions, aches and pains and pet antics, to the largely looming issue of “what’s for dinner?” It’s all well and good for those who enjoy such matters—bless those souls for having found each other—but this website has a really special alchemy when it comes to its mix of individuals….it’s like one big GH viewing fest and sophisticated cocktail party all wrapped up in a single cybervenue. No wonder it is so popular and addictive…..yet, also immensely friendly!!!!! I was initially amazed at how welcoming and encouraging people here are….so many have such kind and generous attitudes, and I’ve never forgotten the lovely responses I received from longtime contributors when I first began posting here…they were excellent examples in promoting the participation of others, and since I so appreciated their enthusiastic reactions, I’ve subsequently tried my best to emulate them when I notice an unfamiliar name with something original to say about Port Charles and/or its people popping up here….because it truly is the more, the merrier, as far as I’m concerned! But enough with the glowing superlatives to describe the distinct nature of these threads….the most expedient way to define them is “simply the best!” and for that, we must, first and foremost, thank our host, Mr. Fairman, for providing us this outstanding opportunity and for setting the cordial, gracious tone that makes visiting here such a profoundly pleasurable—and quite often, meaningful—experience! To term this “place” a treasure, is quite the understatement, indeed! Later, Tristan!

Right back to you, Fanny!

Thanks Fanny 🙂
and wishing the very best of happiness and health in the new year..
HAPPY NEW YEAR! = to each and every one herein!!

Many thanks, my felicitous Fanny! Wishing you all that and more…..Happy 2016, indeed!

Sorry Fanny, I’m late but heres wishing you the same! Thank you!

Emmy material. Heart wrenching. Kimberly and Billy were amazing.

Robin tried to save Jason from Carly using Michael to control him. Robin was leaving for Paris to become a doctor. She thought AJ deserved to be a father to his son. She didn’t know her father until she was seven, . She was leaving the show so no matter that what she did was right, she was made the goat for Scummy , Jason and Snarly the unholy three. THE MAKE THEM THE HEROS OF THIS SHOW EVERYONE ELSE HAD TO BE WRONG.

This scene was great, but the events Robin described aren’t exactly as I remember them.Jason didn’t choose Sonny over Robin. If I remember correctly,he chose Carly over Robin, after Robin betrayed his trust and convinced Sonny to fire him.

He didn’t choose Carly over robin. He chose michael.

Kelly Sullivan Gives High Praise to ‘General Hospital’s’ Maura West Recalling When Ava Shot Connie (Exclusive)

Maura West and Kelly Sullivan

It was just over 13 years ago on General Hospital when Ava Jerome (Maura West) shot and killed Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) in an effort to keep her quiet from revealing that Derek Wells was actually Ava’s back-from-the-dead brother, Julian Jerome (William deVry). It’s a crime that somehow Ava never has quite paid for either.

The episode back aired on August 13, 2013 and viewers had to say goodbye to Kelly Sullivan who played Kate and her alter, Connie. In the story, just before she died, Kate/Connie scrawled the letters AJ in her own blood, initially making the PCPD and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) think that it was AJ Quatermaine (Sean Kanan) who did the deed.

Now, Sullivan recalled sharing scenes with the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning West, during a live conversation on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel. Kelly was the special guest talking about her recent return to the soaps in her new role as The Bold and the Beautiful’s Darcy Dylan.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF MAURA WEST

Speaking of her final GH scenes and working with Maura West, Sullivan gave her then GH co-star major props. “If you’re going to be shot by somebody (on the soaps), you want to be shot by Maura West, c’mon!”

Maura West debuted back in May 2013 as Ava, and Sullivan remembered when the As the World Turns favorite began on GH. “I remember when Maura West first arrived at GH. She walked in with this cute little bob (hairdo) and she’s just delicious,” shared Sullivan.

A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

Kelly revealed more about Maura, adding “I think she’s amazing! I remember right before I left the show, someone suggested, and I would still love to do this with her, if she ever want to, but someone suggested that they wanted to direct the stage play A Streetcar Named Desire with Maura and I, where I would play Stella and she would play Blanche! Wouldn’t that be great?”

Speaking of the Ava/Connie showdown scenes, Sullivan expressed, “On television and on General Hospital specifically, Maura West is able to play a character who does the most horrendous things and you still care about her and that’s the mark of a really great actor. In other words, you’re able to be liked in the midst of the most horrendous things, and as a performer not shying away from that, and to just have the courage to do what’s on the page (in the script).”

KELLY SULLIVAN PARTING THOUGHTS AS SHE LEFT GENERAL HOSPITAL

Kelly also shared her sentiments when she walked off the set of General Hospital after her run back in August of 2013. “I really was honored. Every day I would go to work and I would say a little prayer, which is I want to do justice for my character, explained Kelly. “It’s between me and my character. I get to walk this path with her and to leave the show on that note, which is, I left every out there. I just gave it my all and again what an honor it was to play Kate/Connie.”

You can catch the full conversation with Kelly where she talks about her time on General Hospital, The Young and the Restless where she played Sage Warner and now The Bold and the Beautiful below.

The question of will Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) stay awhile at General Hospital after his recent extended hiatus from the show earlier this year, has reportedly been answered.

TMZ via court documents obtained in Burton’s ongoing legal battle with his ex-wife Sheree Gustin, shared that Steve actually inked a new three year deal with the ABC soap opera back in June.

That is significant because it was June when Burton returned back to work as Jason. In addition, the court filing confirmed that Burton had already moved back to California from Tennessee.

STEVE’S HIATUS AND HIS RETURN TO PORT CHARLES

GH fans will recall, it was back in February of 2026, that Burton announced via his Instagram that he was stepping away from his role of Jason Morgan for short break and pointed to wanting to spend quality time with his new wife, Michelle Lundstrom Burton with whom he tied the knot back on May 17, 2025.

Steve expressed at that time, “I’m newly married and looking forward to spending some quality time with my family.” It was back on March 25 that viewers saw Jason carted away by the WSB after taking the fall for Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) who shot then WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).

Burton returned to work on June 1, and due to General Hospital taping roughly six weeks ahead of air, made his on-screen comeback on the July 13 episode.

GOING FOR GOLD AT THE UPCOMING DAYTIME EMMYS

Then, Steve and his enduring fans got an extra special treat on the same day, when it was revealed on Extra that he was nominated for the upcoming 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Daytime Drama Series category.

Steve previously won in the Supporting Actor category for his work as General Hospital’s Jason in 1998 and as The Young and the Restless’ Dylan McAvoy in 2018.

Now with Jason and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship seemingly hitting the skids, plus Jason’s commitment to staying out of mob life to focus on being present for his son Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), what does the future hold for the fan favorite character? Stay tuned.

So, happy to hear that Steve Burton signed a new three year deal with General Hospital? Knowing that, what storyline would you like to see Jason get involved and with who? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason and Britt Reach an Impasse; Is This the End of Their Relationship?

Jason and Britt

On the Friday, September 11 episode of General Hospital, Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship becomes strained to potentially the point of no return.

Things take a turn when an unglued Britt having been traumatized by almost being killed by Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) asks Jason to back her up with the PCPD when she reports Anna for attempted murder.

However, Jason told Britt, he can’t. Jason shares that he does not believe Anna would have gone through with shooting her. Therefore, Britt was not in any real imminent danger. Britt is flabbergasted and hurt that Jason is refusing to tell the police what he actually witnessed for himself on Mount Emerson.

BRITT WANTS BACK UP FROM JASON

Jason counters that he can’t believe that Britt would want Anna punished. or sent to prison, or a mental facility after the trauma she endured while being locked up and mentally tortured while at Wyndemere.

He asks Britt, “How could you even say that you want her locked up or prosecuted for what she did when you knew she was being held prisoner and you did nothing to save her?” Britt is stunned by Jason’s response.

Coming up, official General Hospital spoilers share that on the upcoming Monday, September 14 episode, Jason confides in Carly (Laura Wright), while Britt is stung. In the video preview that aired at the end of the Friday, September 11 episode for this coming Monday, Britt says to Jason, “You don’t believe me. Do you?”

General Hospital head scribes, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte previously teased in their fall preview of the soap, “Britt and Jason have come a long way and fought a lot of enemies to be together. But the most stubborn obstacle to their happiness isn’t without, it’s within. Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”

So, what do you think will happen? Will Jason and Britt break-up over Britt’s lies and Jason’s unwillingness to report Anna’s crime against her? Do you want Jason and Britt to go their separate ways? If they do, will Britt become romantically involved with Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) ? If so, who do you pair Jason with? Anyone? Weigh-in via the comment section.
