Just when you think there were not enough people angry enough at General Hospital’s Ava Jerome, think again. In the latest ABC promo for the week of August 5-9 on GH, Kristina and her unborn baby are in dire straits due to the fall she took out of a Metro Court Hotel room window during an argument with Ava.

Now, everyone is Kristina’s family is ready to put the blame on Ava, and especially Sonny, who vows to make Ava pay.

In the preview, Ava is in the interrogation room at the PCPD where Chase is wanting her account of the moments that led up to Kristina’s fall. He says, “Start from the beginning. …Tell me everything you remember.” How will Ava spin the story of what went down between her and Kristina? Will the fact that their were photos being shot from another location into Ava’s window be evidence that will hurt her case?

Meanwhile, at General Hospital, a concerned Molly asks TJ, if Kristina and the baby are going to be alright. From his demeanor, it seems like he is about to deliver bad news. In another key moment, Alexis is at the hospital saying that Kristina was in Ava’s suite, and she doeesn’t know why, but that is overheard by Sonny and Molly, and Molly says, “I know why.”

Later, Ava insists to Scott that Kristina’s fall was “an accident.”  Trina visits Ava behind bars and asks her, “Was it …(an accident)? Then, it appears that Kristina’s family will learn of her fate and the fate of the baby.

So, is the beginning of the end of Ava Jerome? Will Kristina survive, but the baby not make it? Share your theories on how things will play out this week on Genera Hospital via the comment section, but first take a look at the promo.

Ava seems to be the punching bag in town again (giving Nina a well deserved rest). Not sure how she gets out of this one.

It’s quite annoying how they’re glossing over Natalia’s wrong doing to blame the whistleblower (similar to Nina getting blamed for turning in a guilty Drew & Carly).

As much as I like Eva LaRue, it’s time for both Natalia and Blaze to depart Port Charles.

Hey, O G, guess what?I agree with you!
.

“Ava seems to be the punching bag in town again. Not sure how she gets out of this one.”

Easy. She doesn’t. About time too. AJ, Morgan, and now Kristina’s baby. The Ava Jerome body count has been piling up for too long.

I do agree with you, OG—What’s up with that?? Turning on Ava—round and round we go. Yet, Carly and Drew roam free!!
I must say, though—how amazing is Maura? Her facial expressions are priceless.
Sonny? I hope he jumps. I’m so nasty!! Oh well—-LOL

Celia, well guess what, I’m even nastier then, because I hope Ava rots in jail and I feel that her facial expressions are disgusting, especially when she opens her mouth!

I don’t know if you were a OLTL viewer, Steve, but way back in 2003, they actually portrayed homophobes as villains, not victims. Now here it is, 2024 and Natalia is being portrayed as a victim. I mean, the character is a smart and independent woman in her 50s, and had ample time to grow and evolve from her strict Catholic upbringing. And this isn’t just a case of viewers being overly sensitive to undercurrents that the writing is suggesting that Natalia is a victim, Kristina straight out said in that disastrous interview with Perez Hilton ( guilty himself of outting closeted celebrities) that “the real victim here is Natalia.” And yet, Ava, who balked when Natalia started spouting off her bigotry is more guilty than Natalia.

Hi Harry
Other than the ridiculous plot of Dorian pretending to be lesbian in order to gain votes, OLTL led the way in portrayal of LGBT characters and storylines.

Having enjoyed “sexual orientation rights” since 1987 in my province ( In Canada) the sudden rise of anti-rights is just so disappointing. Always believed unless you are “interested” in a person, what does their orientation matter?

OLTL Billy Douglas was indeed groundbreaking and told with great real emotion.

I agree with you O G Steve – These writers are gut punching certain characters , relentlessly. The police dept. is working with the mob to help them knock out the people. Anna and Jason , working together to take out the F.B.I. . It annoys me too how Natalia , Sonny , Caryl – I may as well say the whole group are getting by with too much while others are arrested before all of the evidence is presented. I agree about Nina , too . My friend , Mildred and I totally agree with what you said and more!

A horrible turn of events.

ava need to pay for what she did im not saying that she pushed christina but its time she get what she deserves for all the bad things she did in the past

She didn’t push Kristina ; plus , if Kristina is a truthful person , she will say that Ava didn’t.

Why is Ava stupidly talking to the GCPD without her lawyer?

You just answered your own question!

I said the same thing , Mike. However , it seems that unless Diane Miller is your lawyer , a person doesn’t stand a chance.

Kristen Vaganos for the win! Molly reading Sonny the riot act was everything I didn’t know I needed on this show. It creates a new rivalry which will be amplified when Ric returns in a few weeks.

Sonny really had nothing to do with the situation Ava created. And even the part that Sonny did do – like beating the unholy shit out of Dex, where Krissy saw the whole thing, was because his meds have been off for months. Which now is mostly Ava’s fault, since she knew about it, but did nothing, and eventually lowered the dosage from 25% to 0. And of course it would be Molly’s Uncle Val who did that. So she’s barking up the wrong family tree, really.

It’s not Ava’s fault about Sonny’s meds! That’s what Satan does – blames someone else!

How in Hell’s name is it not her fault? Yes, it was Val the Bastard who initially tampered with the meds, but Ava found out about that months ago, and not only didn’t tell Sonny about it, she used the situation to further manipulate him.

And while Val had his meds reduced to 25%, which was bad enough, Ava had them reduced to pure placebos which made him worse. So yes, this has been Ava’s fault since the minute she had the drugs tested and didn’t do the responsible thing with that information.

Maybe she isn’t the one that started screwing up his meds, we know now it was Valentin, but the minute Ava found out what was going on, she threatened the Pharmacist to give him Placebos, that means nothing, nada, fake, do you understand that? Do you even watch the show, if you did, you wouldn’t say something so stupid. Don’t blame Satan, he’s just telling it like it is, and I suppose you think he’s real too, omg, lmoao!

Satan real? Well I have always been taught “if you believe in heaven above, then hell is definitely below”. Can’t have one without the other.

So many characters have pointed out Ava is a snake who tampered with Morgan’s meds. Yet none of them have even wondered if she may have done the same to Sonny’s meds. I’ll be glad when the truth finally comes out. But I’m sure she’ll still get out of it somehow. I know Valentin set it in motion but Ava worsened it. They both need to face the consequences.

So does Sonny and his crowd!

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason and Britt Reach an Impasse; Is This the End of Their Relationship?

Jason and Britt

On the Friday, September 11 episode of General Hospital, Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) relationship becomes strained to potentially the point of no return.

Things take a turn when an unglued Britt having been traumatized by almost being killed by Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) asks Jason to back her up with the PCPD when she reports Anna for attempted murder.

However, Jason told Britt, he can’t. Jason shares that he does not believe Anna would have gone through with shooting her. Therefore, Britt was not in any real imminent danger. Britt is flabbergasted and hurt that Jason is refusing to tell the police what he actually witnessed for himself on Mount Emerson.

BRITT WANTS BACK UP FROM JASON

Jason counters that he can’t believe that Britt would want Anna punished. or sent to prison, or a mental facility after the trauma she endured while being locked up and mentally tortured while at Wyndemere.

He asks Britt, “How could you even say that you want her locked up or prosecuted for what she did when you knew she was being held prisoner and you did nothing to save her?” Britt is stunned by Jason’s response.

Coming up, official General Hospital spoilers share that on the upcoming Monday, September 14 episode, Jason confides in Carly (Laura Wright), while Britt is stung. In the video preview that aired at the end of the Friday, September 11 episode for this coming Monday, Britt says to Jason, “You don’t believe me. Do you?”

General Hospital head scribes, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte previously teased in their fall preview of the soap, “Britt and Jason have come a long way and fought a lot of enemies to be together. But the most stubborn obstacle to their happiness isn’t without, it’s within. Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”

So, what do you think will happen? Will Jason and Britt break-up over Britt’s lies and Jason’s unwillingness to report Anna’s crime against her? Do you want Jason and Britt to go their separate ways? If they do, will Britt become romantically involved with Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) ? If so, who do you pair Jason with? Anyone? Weigh-in via the comment section.

Kearran Giovanni

If Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) new therapist on General Hospital looks familiar to you, it’s because actress Kearran Giovanni, who plays Dr. Nichols, previously played a doctor on One Life to Live!.

Viewers tuning-in to the Thursday, September 10 episode of GH got their first look at Dr. Nichols who has been brought in to help Anna recover from her PTSD and trauma following the reveal that she has been suffering from a break in reality since before being put in mental health facility in France, after being gaslighted by Cullum and company earlier in the year.

One Life to Live fans will recall that Kearran Giovanni played Dr. Vivian Wright in 2009, and it was then she first worked with current General Hospital EP, Frank Valentini, who at the time was at the helm in Llanview.

WHERE ELSE HAVE YOU SEEN KEARRAN GIOVANNI?

Giovanni appeared on OLTL in the recurring role through 2012 and in the final ABC episode of the beloved series was the the ob/gyn who delivered Destiny Evans (Shenell Edmonds) and Matthew Buchanan’s (Eddie Alderson) baby into the world, whom they named Drew Buchanan II after Bo Buchanan’s (Robert S, Woods) late son. In addition, Vivian has been dating Shaun Evans (Sean Ringgold).

HEALING ANNA

On today’s General Hospital, after Anna’s harrowing meltdown where she almost shot and killed Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) after seeing visions of “Peter August” (Wes Ramsey), Jason (Steve Burton) saved the day and talked Anna down from committing murder. Now, Dr. Nichols was introduced as a valuable staff member at the hospital.  Although, this marked the first time in the history of the show we have heard of her character.

So, do you remember seeing Kearran Giovanni on One Life to Live? Happy to see that Anna may have a qualified therapist in charge of her healing, unless the doctor turns out to be not on the up and up? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Anna Breaks Down in Front of Jason and Britt After Shots Are Fired

Published

on

By

Finola Hughes

The Wednesday, September 9 episode of General Hospital featured top-notch performances by Finola Hughes and Steve Burton, as Anna holds Jason and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) at gunpoint on Mount Emerson.

Anna is not in her right mind as hallucinations of Peter (Wes Ramsey) overtake her, egging her on to shoot and kill Britt. Jason begs Anna to put down the gun, but it’s clear Anna is speaking to someone who is not there, but in a direction that is just past Britt.

Suddenly, Anna screams at Britt, “You’re just like your father!” Anna also tells Britt that she knew Britt was aware that she was locked up on Spoon Island and did nothing to save her. Britt turns to Jason and tells him she had no idea Anna was on the Island, “until Cullum showed up in Port Charles.” That declaration gave Jason pause.

“PETER” TAKES A BULLET

Next, Anna is overcome with angst, filled with tears and screams out, “I won’t let you beat me!” She fires the gun where the imaginary Peter was standing, as Britt screams and Jason dove to cover her. Now completely shaken, Jason took the weapon from Anna and ordered Britt to leave the scene as Anna collapsed in Jason’s arms.

Jason was so concerned for Anna. She reveals she’s been seeing visions of Peter August since France. Jason shared his theory with Anna that she was manifesting her worst fears about Faison. However he knows deep down Anna would never have shot Britt. Jason promises to come back and clean up the area, but would take Anna home first.

ANNA ADMITS TO EMMA SHE TRIED TO KILL BRITT

At Anna’s, Jason brings her in the front door as Emma is there. Jason tells Emma (Braedyn Bruner) he would like to return and spend the night. A confused and worried Emma get the full story from her grandmother.

Anna explains she tried to kill Britt and she is not as well as she was pretending to be in France. Cut to: Jason cleaning up the site of Anna’s plot against Britt on Mount Emerson. He moves over and finds bullet casings on the ground and examines one of them.

The story climax also signaled the end of the run for Wes Ramsey, who has been showing up on episodes over the last several months as Anna’s dark side conscience. Now that Anna was able to break the psychological hold visions of “Peter” had on her, it ends this latest return of Ramsey’s.

So, what did you think about the scenes between Anna and Jason? Do you think Jason and Britt’s relationship will come to an end now that seemingly Britt revealed she knew Anna was held captive after Cullum came to town? Glad to know Anna won’t be haunted by visions of Peter August anymore? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
