GENERAL HOSPITAL PROMO: Brando’s Not The Only Victim of The ‘Hook’
This week on ABC’s General Hospital, the residents of Port Charles wonder, where will the killer dubbed the ‘Hook’ strike next?
Here’s what we know. Last week, from all appearances the ‘Hook’ killed Oz Haggerty at the docks. Now in the latest promo, a body bag is wheeled away by paramedics from the scene of the crime.
Meanwhile, friends and loved one gather to mourn and say goodbye to Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). Previously, following her attack, Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) identified the ‘Hook’ to be a woman.
With Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) lurking and back in town, it certainly makes her a prime suspect and making her look quite suspicious that she could be the serial killer! But is she?
Watch the preview for the action on this week’s GH below.
At this point, who would you place the smart money on that will turn out to be the ‘hook’ serial killer? Comment below.
It really needs to be Esme. I understand that we all love Avery Kristen Pohl but I am so tired of cockamamie made up out of thin air (and worse) endings to murder mysteries on soaps. She is the only logical solution to these murders and if they try to foist some ridiculous murderer on us with some dopey reason for having done it…. just don’t! (and it better not be Rory!).
It won’t be Esme. She’s signed a three-year contract, so unless the show becomes General Hospital: Pentonville, it’s going to have to turn out to be someone else.
Actually, I don’t love Avery Pohl, she’s a good actress, however, by no means is she brilliant like the powerhouses such as Maura West, Genie Francis and Fiona Hughes. And, Esme is NOT the ‘Hook’ serial killer.
She is a YOUNG actress. Give her time and she will be in the same company of those three veteran actresses you mentioned.
Where is Monica? The character has not appeared for months.
According to Nancy Lee Grahn, Leslie Charleson had a fall early in the year. There’s been no updates in the past few months. They had a recast for one episode back in February but have removed Monica from story pending LC’s recovery.
She’s very missed on the canvas. Here’s hoping we get to see her on screen in time for Thanksgiving pizza.
Thank all that’s unholy that Portia – a doctor, not a cop – finally figured out the obvious. The hookings are about Trina, NOT Sonny!
The hooking of Oz, who had nothing at all to do with Sonny was what finally clued her in, but it really should have been considered all along. Brando being the accidental 2nd victim (and first fatality) is what threw them off. What is NOT realistic here, is that neither Curtis or Jordan (both “seasoned” detective types) ever questioned whether Brando was the intended victim until now…. and they finally realize that Joss was the intended target that night.
Now all they need to do is arrive at the obvious conclusion for who their suspect is…. a woman who has a vendetta against Trina. And that’s a short list……
Only thing shocking is that Ava did NOT clue in yet. When she jumped in that elevator with a horrified look on her face, I thought she might have pieced it together.
Well, it looks like it isn’t Esme, but who is it then? Someone with an endless supply of the poison used on the hook. Probably someone out of left field as was mentioned before, which will make for a very unsatisfying and disappointing result.
Esme is not the hook killer. They want us to think that. I think it’s Sasha. Wild theory but definitely dramatic.
Sasha was in Charlie’s when Brando was attacked. It’s not her.
Why have tptb closed off the docks where the hook has been attacking? Or at least have law enforcement patrolling the docks 24/7? And why would any intelligent person go walking there anyway?
Rose…I really do proof read my emails. But correction to above…”Why “haven’t” the tptb closed off the docks, etc.”
I Think it’s Nell and she is not dead.
Nelle is certainly capable of being a psycho serial killer. But she doesn’t fit the list of victims, so far. Maybe she would have gone after Joss…. who was the intended second target. But why would she go after Ava or Diane? And she didn’t even know that other dude… Oz or whatever his name was.
There have been no hookings since Esme’s been locked up in Castle Cassadine. Could be a coincidence… but she’s the logical suspect with a connection to all of the victims. Only other person who fits that pattern is Rory… and since Diane was sure the hooker was a woman, that lets Rory off the hook (no pun intended)…. unless he’s a secret cross dresser or something.
Wouldn’t be the first cross-dressing killer on GH, if that were the case, but you would have to go all the way back to the “Left Handed Boy” storyline for that one.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
