Tonight on Fox (8 pm ET), WWE Friday Night SmackDown has its television ‘season premiere’ live from Worcester Massachusetts, one day ahead of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) in Philadelphia.

Look for the highly-anticipated appearances of WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns and one of the biggest social media influencers in the world – now pro wrestler, Logan Paul on the premiere.. The two will come face-to-face to hype up next month’s headline match at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia.

Many have been trying to predict just how that match will finish. Former Women’s Champ, Rowdy Rhonda Rousey offered up her take on her You Tube channel sharing: “I guess they’ll have to protect both of them. So, it’s going to be like Roman cheats or something and still wins. Yeah, cause Logan Paul is still babyface. So, I don’t think they will let him cheat, but it could be a heel turn if he could cheat. But I think it would be more of like all The Bloodline’s gonna get involved and like gang up on him.”

Also tonight on Smackdown, Gunther goes up against Sheamus in a rematch from Clash at the Castle for the Intercontinental title, plus Ricochet battles the “Bloodline’s’ Solo Sikoa, and more.

On Thursday, Variety announced that the WWE has set new commentary teams for each of its television brands and those begin tonight with Smackdown.  WWE mainstay, Michael Cole is back, but this time with Wade Barrett, who is moving over from the “NXT” commentary team. Samantha Irvin will serve as the ring announcer, with Kayla Braxton and Megan Morant continuing on as backstage interviewers/correspondents.

News of the shakeups comes after “SmackDown” commentator Pat McAffee announced in early September that he would be taking a temporary leave from to work as an analyst on ESPN’s College Gameday.  McAffee is expected to return to his spot with WWE after the college football season concludes.

So, what do you think will eventually be the outcome of Reigns vs. Paul? The announce team changes? Comment below.  But first, check out several of the WWE superstars on the rosters pick for the winner of tonight’s match between Sheamus vs. Gunther

bye ! not a sports fan.. I come here for soaps.. I have removed my “favorites” link…

MF…Okay I can’t hold back anymore. After all the very gruesome violence that is now creeping, unwanted by many, into soaps, your page is now being PR for wrestling…”smack down” today? I know you are a businessman but I hope it stops.

Who cares? Why are we seeing this??!

Because Americans are obsessed with sports and with violence…so this is the perfect union. I say we should demand equal time and insist on Soap Updates on every ESPN show.

Understand you may be trying to broaden your website audience, but you’re attempting to mix two groups that just don’t go together.

This site owes it popularity to soap fans who appreciate the open forum to discuss “their stories”.

Wrestling is a polar opposite for the majority of soap viewers (and vice versa). It’s not a far stretch to say the majority of soap fans detest wrestling and most wrestling fans have a negative opinion of soaps (despite the late Bergen Williams excellent portrayal of GH’s Alice).

You run the risk of alienating both audiences. As a long visitor and marketing executive, I’d strongly suggest a separate site for wrestling followers.

Bravo, OG Steve!

Agreed

I can’t even find a place to discuss a Soap or make a comment, and now we have another site about wrestling?

It’s a major week on General Hospital, and in the just released ABC promo for the action in and out of Port Charles, a major return, a baby on the way, and a displaced congressman coming back to life are at its epicenter. Let’s take a look!

In episodes airing July 13-17, first, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) is seen at the Metro Court pool trying to get justice for Jason! “My dad’s in prison because he covered for Rocco,” exclaims the teenager.

Next, we cut to Jason (Steve Burton) himself, who is thrown into a dark cell by a guard. It’s the first we have seen of two-time Daytime Emmy-winner, Steve Burton since his on-screen departure back in March. What has happened to Jason?

Next, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is about to watch the domino effect of all her misdeeds and machinations come back to bite her. Now that Sidwell is in police custody, she has no way to gain access to the paralytic drug she has been using for months to keep her husband Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in a locked-in state, unable to speak or move.

WILLOW IS LOSING CONTROL OF DREW

However, Drew is seen and he can finally move his hands and his feet and is moving around in his wheelchair. Then, Willow is seen beginning to freak out sharing, “We won’t be able to control Drew much longer!” Is Drew finally coming to get his comeuppance? What will be his first move against Willow, once he can walk and talk?

Finally, the promo comes to its conclusion, and Portia (Brooke Kerr) has suddenly gone into labor and she’s all alone! Will Curtis (Donnell Turner) or Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) show up in time or someone else to help her deliver her baby? Will there be medical complications that could derail the birth of her child? Stay tuned.

In addition, you can check out the full list of official GH spoilers for the week here.

Now let us know, will Jason be released from his imprisonment pronto thanks to Josslyn’s deal with Z, or suffer some more? Do you hope Drew gets payback on Willow? And who do you think will help deliver Portia’s baby? Weigh-in via the comment section below, but first check out “The Clock is Ticking” latest GH promo.
