GENERAL HOSPITAL: Bullets and Bombshells: Cullum Taken Out, Cassius and Josslyn’s Fate Yet to Be Revealed
Holy smokes! In one of the most action-packed episodes of General Hospital in a very long time, not only did it include shocking confessions from Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Ethan (Nathan Dean), multiple shots fired and deaths, but a head-turning visit from beyond the grave and the soap opera debut of Last Week Tonight talk show host, John Oliver!
Truly, only a soap such as General Hospital could pull this off leaving viewers on the edge of the seats going, “What’s next? Whaaaat?” Moment after moment if you listened and watched closely, there were plenty of revelations to keep story burning for months!
Here’s what went down: Carly (fire poker and all) tried to take out WSB Agent Harker, but was saved by, get this, “Nathan” aka Cassius (Ryan Paevey) when he shot Harker dead. Cassius gave the code to the secret room door which held his mother, and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to Carly. Carly (Laura Wright) tells Cassius that Valentin went to WSB headquarters in Geneva to inform them that Cullum was a double agent.

In the secret room, Josslyn and Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) were able to get the wire reconnected to open the door to their freedom, but Carly was standing there! Josslyn grabbed the gun Cassius gave Carly, and headed out and locked her mom up with Obrecht! That’s where Carly got brought up to speed by Liesl about her twin sons and Cassius.
Back at Ava’s (Maura West) gallery, Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has Justine (Nazneen Contractor) at gunpoint. Sonny (Maurice Benard) uses himself as the bargaining chip and says to take him as his hostage not the ADA. Sidwell refused and that’s when Sonny informed his enemy that Cullum stabbed and mutilated his son, Marco to death.
The confession flipped out Sidwell. So, he turned the gun on Sonny as Justine ran. Now, Sidwell and Sonny were struggling for the gun. Sonny ended up with it pointed at Sidwell. Justine talked Sonny out of killing Sidwell as the PCPD arrived and took Sidwell into custody. Eventually, Justine makes out with Sonny.

GETAWAY GONE WRONG
In the storage room, Ava is trying to keep Ethan awake and from passing out or bleeding to death. Ava encourages Ethan to keep talking, but before he losses consciousness, Ethan says Phoebe wasn’t his daughter. Ava is stunned, so are we!
Now the action switches to the loading dock (which was weird to begin with since we couldn’t picture Wyndemere having docks, but there you go, I guess thats why it’s called ‘Spoon Island’). Cullum reports that it’s time to transport the cold fusion device. Suddenly, Cassius shows up and attempts to kill Cullum, but misses him and it sets off a WSB agent shootout!
Suddenly, Agent Jacks arrives on the scenes and goes to help Cassius. Meanwhile, Cullum is driving away with the device, and Josslyn chases after him, but gets shot by one of Cullum’s agent/henchmen and is stopped in her tracks.

BRITT’S HUNTINGTON DISEASE DIAGNOSIS WAS FAKED
Then, illustrating how Cullum will now go down as one of the most despicable soap villains of the modern era, he corners Cassius. With his gun drawn, Cullum drops a bombshell: Britt’s Huntington’s diagnosis and experimental treatment had been faked all along to ensure she complied with making Faison’s final project come to life. Even more despicable, Cullum admits that Cassius, for all intent and purposes, killed his own sister because the vials of medication he’d sent to her were filled with poison!
In yet another despicable piece of news, Cullum informs Cassius the WSB helicopter is fast approaching so he is going to make it look like Cassius was in charge of this entire project and that he was going to be the glorified hero for stopping Cassius. In rare form, Cullum shoots Cassius who falls to the ground. Josslyn, who is down on the ground and shot, crawls to a rifle nearby and is able to retrieve and shoots Cullum and kills him.

HAS JOSSLYN’S SAVIOR ARRIVED IN THE NICK OF TIME?
Suddenly, as Josslyn is seemingly holding on to life, a man dressed in a suit with two armed guards, lands by helicopter. As he surveys the scene, he shoots one guy, checks Cassius pulse, walks by Cullum and finds Josslyn and says, “Everything’s going to be OK. I’m here to help.””
In France, Anna (Finola Hughes) asked Felicia (Kristina Wagner) to relay the story of “Nathan’s” identify to Dr. Laurent. Now encouraged by Anna’s progress, Dr. Laurent decided that she is ready to return home because she has demonstrated an ability to tell reality from hallucinations.

NOT YOU… AGAIN!
But not so fast! After Felicia left Anna’s room, she has a “visitor,” Peter August (Wes Ramsey)! “Nicely done,” he sneers. “Do you think she bought it?” Anna looks concerned.
There were plenty of bombshells and bullets in this episode of GH. What was your favorite moment? What were you most shocked to learn? What will be the fate of Cassius and Josslyn? Talk about being on the edge of your seat. I’ve been on the edge of my seat all week. I’ve watched each episode this week at least twice and today was no exception. I was about to die during the standoff between Sonny, Sidwell and Turner. Sidwell is so hateful. I’m sure he could see the connection between Sonny and Turner. I was afraid he would shoot Turner just to hurt Sonny. I’m glad Sonny threw the fact that Cullum killed Marco in Sidwell’s face. Hope Sidwell spends the rest of his miserable life in that maximum security WSB prison. Bravo to everyone in front of and behind the cameras this week.
And what’s with those soulful looks between Ava and Ethan. Is he going to be her new boy toy? Who is Phobe’s biological father?
Action packed drama coupled with top notch direction and acting punctuated with a pitch perfect musical score. I watched John Oliver’s arrival three times, and loved it when he shot one of Sidwell’s men with nary a look. It was a lot of fun.
Everything was so damn good with only two hiccups. One, Justine and Sonny making out seconds after Sidwell is taken away and two, Anna hallucinating Peter. We really didn’t need those two scenes which took away from the overall excellence of the episode. I’ll give this episode a score of 90%.
Another hiccup, IMO, was Joss knowingly running directly into gunfire. They keep saying she’s an impressive young agent. So don’t write her stupidly running into a bullet onslaught. She barely cleared those barrels before getting taken out. I wondered for a second if I was suddenly watching a comedy. If they were trying for a heroic moment, they could have let her clear a few yards before taking her out. Sheesh!
Wonder show all week long!! Kudos to casr, crew, writers, directors, because everyone was spot on…Sonny telling Sidwell Cullum killed Marco….Justine pushing Sonny and making out with him is an adrenaline rush reaction….Really wish CASSIUS is alive….Z needs more than 3 show arc….Anna will never be free of Peter….GH really packing the heat!!!!!
Sonny is still partying like it’s 1999 making out Justine right after their brush with death. It felt forced, like they’re trying to recapture the sexual chemistry that Sonny had with Brenda in the 90s. That part I did not care for.

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Talks On Where Joe Fitzpatrick is Headed and Soap Opera Shirtless Scenes
It had become abundantly clear that roomies Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and PCPD detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) seem destined towards a romance on General Hospital.
In fact, to get Lucas all hot and bothered (although he does fully let on), during the Friday, October 16 episode, the good doctor helps Joe pick out something less stuffy to wear to a bar to meet people.
However, the moment is met with Joe taking off his shirt in front of Lucas and doing a quick change from sport coat and button down shirt to a more relaxed casual button down shirt. In fact, the ABC soap opera even called out the moment as their clip of the day (see below).

MAJOR STORY TEASE FOR JOE
Bennett spoke with OUT in a new feature about what may be on the horizon for the by-the-book Joe and the moral Lucas, and how he learned that once the producers and writers on a soap script in a shirtless scene, if it goes over well, said actor, can expect many more in the months to come!
“I’m so excited for the audience to see where my character goes on General Hospital. It’s going to be monumental and I think people are going to love it,” teased Bennett. “I was shirtless in an episode and so petrified to shoot it,” he added. “I wanted to look my best and feel good. I really worked hard to get my body to a good place and I did it.”
STAYING CAMERA READY
However as Jonathan points out, now he is finding himself half-naked in upcoming scenes as officer Joe! “I think I shot myself in the foot! Now that I did it once and it turned out well, every few weeks I read a script and I’m coming out of the shower, changing my shirt, or in the bathtub,” revealed Jonathan.
So, how does he keep camera ready? “I’m in the gym more, I have a better diet,” pointed out Bennett. “You have to stay healthy if you’re going to be shirtless every few weeks! I’m gay, an only child, and an actor. Of course I love the attention!”
While Bennett’s Port Charles story is going to reveal itself in the coming months, you can also see Jonathan back as the host of The Food Network’s Halloween Wars 16th season which concludes on Sunday, October 25.

The Friday, October 16 episode of General Hospital marked the on-screen debut of the mysterious Jude, played by primetime vet and Australian-born Wil Traval.
While not much has been revealed just yet, Traval spoke to TV Insider in his first conversation since joining the iconic ABC soap opera in a new interview out today.
As GH fans witnessed, Jude was introduced in scenes at a bar with Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), and it would seem this may be her new leading man after things went south between Britt and Jason (Steve Burton). Traval said of working with the Daytime Emmy-winning Thiebaud, “I can’t speak more highly of her. I think she’s fantastic. It’s the biggest delight in my life to be working with her.”

FROM BROKEN BACK TO PORT CHARLES
As it turns out, Wil was supposed to be on board for a very short visit to Port Charles. However, as he revealed, things didn’t go the way he planned and his stay got extended!
“Originally, it was going to be a short guest role, I believe, and at the end of the week I got a call saying they might want to offer me a contract on the show, which was a real surprise and delight.” the actors shared. “And the rest is history from there.”
The road to General Hospital was not an easy one in some other respects. Traval was in the middle of recovering from a car accident that broke his back when he got the call to submit a self-tape for the role of the mysterious stranger back in June. Suddenly, he found himself getting a callback which in turn led to a chemistry read with Kelly Thiebaud.
WHO IS JUDE?
In the week to come, General Hospital viewers will learn Jude’s connections to the residents of Port Charles and his true identity.
With an Australian contingent on the canvas, and its tentacles throughout GH history including: Dr. Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer); Robert Scorpio (the late Tristan Rogers); and Josslyn’s father Jax (last played by Ingo Rademacher), and Jerry Jacks (last played by Sebastian Roche), one would think Jude HAS to be tied to these characters from down under, or does he?

‘General Hospital’s’ Josh Swickard Stars in Faith-Based ‘The Space Between Us’ as The Man Who Has an Affair with a Married Woman
While General Hospital’s Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) marriage to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has seemingly come to an end based on trust issues, and his unrelenting believe of the innocence of his ex-wife Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) when she has committed heinous crimes, Josh Swickard is also being featured in another story on another platform in the new faith-based movie, The Space Between Us.
In the streaming feature now on the Angel platform, Swickard is playing Levi Boone, a handsome young solider, who finds himself attracted to a married woman played by Jennifer Taylor. The two have an affair. The movie made it’s debut last week on October 8.
According to the loglines, “The Space Between Us dives deep into modern relationships, following marriages straining under the heavy weight of busyness, unmet expectations, and spiritual disconnection. Described as a story of grace in the mess, the film takes a grounded, deeply relatable look at how even the best intentions can fall apart—and how faith, strong community, and honest vulnerability can bring true healing.”

In a cast interview, which features Swickard, Taylor and Kristoffer Poloha, the trio discussed their thoughts on betrayal in marriage, and who’s right and who’s wrong and more.
Josh Swickard explains, “The audience can get it from a lot of sides too where we can show it, and if you have crossed that line in your marriage. it doesn’t have to be over. And when two people are willing to work, anything’s possible. Not giving the end away. I’m just saying. It could happen. It could happen. People can end up together.”
Meanwhile, Kristoffer Poloha added, “Like, wait a minute, but this other guy steps in and I think passion takes over. I think what you see is how easy it is to stumble. Whether it’s adultery or whether it’s another type of sin, you can basically burn your house down in many different ways and how quickly it is to light that fire.”
The Space Between Us is from Canyon Productions. The company delivers faiith-based media designed to encourage, inspire, and uplift viewers along their spiritual journeys. By showcasing the genuine struggles and eventual triumphs of relatable characters facing tough real-world challenges, Canyon aims to create projects that point audiences directly toward hope and perseverance.
