GENERAL HOSPITAL: Holly is Sasha’s Mother; Sam tells Dante She’s the Donor Match for Lulu
It looks like there have been some long-held secrets going on in Port Charles that were revealed on the Wednesday, October 16 episode of General Hospital. It starts, that while having drinks with Felicia (Kristina Wagner), Holly (Emma Samms) sees photos of Sasha (Sofia Mattson) and Cody (Josh Kelly) and she is very oft-kilter about it when looking at Sasha and inquiring about her to Felicia.
Meanwhile, after asking Michael (Chad Duell) to invest in Cody’s business venture and him turning her down, Sasha realizes she was overheard by Tracy (Jane Elliot). It’s at that point Tracy lowers the boom; that if she ever catches Sasha asking the family for money again, she will fire her as the cook for the Q clan.
Later, when Sasha opens the door at the Quartermaines, she looks not too pleased to see Holly Sutton there. It’s then that Sasha says, “What are you doing here, mother?” Holly looks at her. Now the question becomes, what is Holly up to? Is she contacting her daughter to keep hidden from the wrath of Sidwell (Carlo Rota)? Is Sasha not on the up and up either? Apparently, she knew Holly was her mom! Stay tuned.

Elsewhere, after the crisis with Lulu is aborted; due to a ventilator malfunction and Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) and Liz’s (Rebecca Herbst) quick timing, it concerns everyone even more to make sure they find a donor match quickly for Lulu. At the same time, Terry (Cassandra James) is filling Sam (Kelly Monaco) in that she is match to save Lulu, but she would need to first undergo a secondary screening to confirm there are no complications for the liver recipient. Sam thinks about it and says she will agree to the testing with one condition; that Terry does not tell Dante until she is sure that she can be Lulu’s liver donor. Terry agrees.

When Elizabeth and Dante talk about both being involved with the Spencer kids, Lucky and Lulu, it bonds them as Dante is overwrought with the thought of losing Lulu. Elizabeth gets a text message that the secondary screening is complete. Next, while Dante is at Lulu’s bedside, Sam bursts into tell him that she is a match for Lulu. Dante looks confused and stunned, and we fade to black.

Is this another history retcon that this writing team is famous for. I thought Sasha never knew who her parents were? I hate when soaps do this.
Sasha switched Codys hair for hers in the DNA testing, so if she was Roberts daughter something should have showed up then. We didnt FORGET the DNA test.. GH ignoring this..

Well I’m fairly certain nobody had Sasha is Holly’s daughter on their bingo card. What’s more shocking is the fact that Sasha could be a Scorpio.

Sasha just became alot more interesting.
That wouldn’t take much.
Well this is going to be 666% ridiculous and cringey no matter how they spin it. If Holly is Sasha’s mother, then that means either Robert is her father, which means Sasha is currently banging her cousin Cody. Or Luke is her father, which would mean Sasha was previously banging her cousin Michael. Also, if that’s the case, it might have been nice if she would have known this earlier so she could be tested as a liver donor for Lulu, who would then be her half sister.
Not really a good outcome either way. So why bother?
Sasha and Cody have not had sex. In fact, most fans have complained that not much was happening with them or they were moving the couple along too slowly. The writers always had someone interrupt them before anything happened. Now I see why. I assume Sasha has no idea she is Robert’s daughter, so that will put an end to Cody and Sasha.
I like this twist. Sasha became boring. The only thing interesting about Cody is James. It seemed like the writers had no idea what to do with Sasha. Prior to this, the best they could do is make her the Q’s cook. It makes Sasha instantly more interesting. Is she a con artist like her mother and brother, Ethan? Does she oppose her mother’s criminal behavior?
Also, ending Cody and Sasha could open the door to a Sasha and Michael reunion if Drew and Willow secret is revealed.
If they say she’s Robert’s daughter – how does that explain the DNA test Felicia did where Sasha switched her hair for one of Cody’s? Wouldn’t that indicate a familial match (not siblings but cousins)?
You would think so. Which leads me to suspect that they’re going to make her Luke’s kid and say that she and Ethan were fraternal twins maybe. Since it would be really ridiculous to say that Luke and Holly hooked up and made babies at two different times while Luke & Laura were on the run from Frank Smith’s mob.
Which of course begs the question… Sasha knows who her mother is. Does she know who her father is, and if it’s Luke, then why didn’t she step up and offer to help her sister, Lulu? She could have been tested without mentioning that fact. Nobody’s going to think Sam was Luke’s kid even though she was somehow a match. Though Sam did start out as a con woman who loved gambling, so ironically enough, she would fit as a Luke & Holly kid, if she were younger.
Well, the (illogical) timeframe given by Holly for her pregnancy with Sasha would indicate Robert cheated on Anna during their second marriage. This means both of Holly’s kids were born while she hooked up with her exes while they were happily married to other women.
The other ridiculous thing about the timing is that Holly was on screen for a few years after Robert “died” (dating Bill while living with Mac and Robin). The audience let that similar fact slide for Dominique’s retcon Cody pregnancy. Similar to Peter, this is a retcon that won’t go over well. Give it a while and Sasha will be re-retconned to a dalliance between Paloma and Bill.
Would you or someone explain the big love affair that Tracy keeps bringing up , between her and Luke. I’ve watched for many years, never seeing their relationship.

Didn’t Van Etten learn anything from the Peter debacle? Stop messing with the Scorpio family tree. Nobody was asking for this – which came out of the blue in just one episode.
Sasha’s been in Port Charles for 6 years stating all along that she was raised by her grandmother.
It was bad enough when Guza altered show history by having Luke cheat on Laura with a previously assumed to be infertile Holly to produce Ethan. Now this ridiculous retcon? Can’t they come up with anything original?
I used to never miss a day. For the last month or so I’m good watching about once a week if that. Bad story line all around.

There’s literally no way that Sasha could be Robert & Holly’s kid. Sasha used to be with Michael Corinthos, and they are approximately the same age.
Michael was born in the late 1990s. At that time, both Robert and Holly were presumed dead. Neither of them were down here, and probably neither one actually died, but where ever they were, they weren’t together.
Now… going way back when, Holly WAS pregnant with Robert’s child when she supposedly died in a plane crash in 1987. That’s where I always believed Ethan came from, and never bought that he was Luke’s kid. This cannot be where Sasha came from, as it would make her more than a decade older than Michael. But after 1987, it would literally be decades before Robert and Holly were both in Port Charles at the same time. (Ethan would have fit that time table perfectly, and it would have made far more sense than a ridiculous retcon of Luke and Holly secretly hooking up Hell knows where while he and Laura were on the run from Frank Smith.)
And if this wasn’t ridiculous enough, there was some sort of OLTL references in Holly’s little monologue as well. Didn’t they give up on weighing down GH with the boat anchor of that dead show when they let Easton & Howarth go, after multiple characters for each of them?
I want to know who her father is, hopefully it in neither Luke nor Robert.
GH really needs new writers. Holly, Sasha’s mom? So does that make Robert her father and Cody her cousin? Ewwww The writing is really terrible.
Well consider mind blown Holly being Sashas mum. Why didn’t Holly drop by the last time she was in town. Whats the secret. And now we know how our veloved Sam will die. On the operating table saving Lulu. What a waste of talent & a storyline getting rid of kelly. Tgey could’ve put her in a long term coma, talk about iroiny.
And it makes Holly appear to be quite the awful mother. Sasha loses her baby, loses her husband and suffers terribly from addiction, all without a word, let alone moral support from her mother
GH writers love the concept of deadbeat parents. That was a major complaint of Tristan Rogers’ when they brought Robert back from the dead during the monkey virus storyline. I’m betting that neither Robert nor Luke is the baby daddy. Holly certainly got around. What I’m wondering is, does this revelation mean that Emma Samms is sticking around for a bit? That wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing.

My thoughts are what the world, out of all lulu relatives, no match , now Sam?? Now they taking Sam off , haven’t her family been through enough. What are these writers doing to this once great show? Where is Frank and how is he letting this happen? The Drew/Willow thing is disgusting and now throwing this in out of the blue, come on guys.

If GH allows an incestuous relationship between Sasha and Cody to happen…I am done. That is unacceptable and disgusting to promote sex with your cousin.
I stopped watching Gangsters Headcase or GH since they let Kelly Monaco go and refuse to watch her death and contributing to the ratings for her death….i have wondered how she will die and i figured they would discover her a match while on life support not a match that would ultimately cause her death….but figured it would have dome connectin to Lulu. Now i pretty much now and hope Kelly moves to another soap as I will follow her.

Sasha and Cody will end up being cousins and that’s gonna be overwhelming for them both because Matt is Cody’s father and ROBERT will be Sasha’s father. What a twist and with the Lulu and Sam story Sam will give Lulu life wow Sam will die on the operating table what a twist for Dante.
I don’t believe, even thought Holly told Sasha that Robert is her father, that he really is. But if it is the case, I’m fine with Sasha and Cody together. First cousins are legal, they didn’t grow up together. I love them together.

This the GH writers trying to bring story lines that will shock the fans after they are been screwing up the soap to a point that many fans have stopped watching. Holly has been to PC many times and not once did she tried to see “her daughter” not even when she lost her child, husband, during her addiction or mental institution. I hate it when writers think that I am stupid this story line is too far fetched and Scorpio is her father come on. I would fire them if I could. Sasha became boring bcz the writers made her boring. It’s like Trina’s biological father is not even mention not even by Trina is like he never existed. And Drew’s BS with Willow. I’m done with PC.
Who is writing these stories. Sasha is Holly daughter so stupid. Killing off Kelly Monaco worst mistakes in a long time. But they keep willow and drew and porches I don’t watch it much anymore because to much stupidity honestly. I like Sasha and Holly a lot but still I feel the show is just trying way to hard to shock us and what’s the saying love it or hate it as long as their talking about us its all good? isn’t Elisabeth Korte a long time writer with the show? is she now changing everything to how she wanted it to be and damn if it makes no sense or has the audience hating it? maybe I’m over thinking this instead of trying to enjoy it but ever since the show fired Kelly Monaco I’ve not been able to enjoy the show. its like one strike after another, from cringy storylines like Drew and Willow, to Jason kissing Anna,now Cody and Sasha being cousins,To Sonny outright killing Jagger, Why is my favorite show sucking so much? somebody save GH from its current regime because they’ve got me wanting to tune out (I won’t I’m just venting) but I really do think somebody needs to step in because I do feel its getting bad.

The writers need to be fired. The story lines of late are so off putting.. starting with the Willow and Drew/Willow’s mother Nina. Jason and Anna kissing.. seriously. 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Nominations Announced: ‘The Young and the Restless’ Tops With 18, ‘Beyond the Gates’ With 16
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the full list of nominees for the upcoming 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, and it was CBS daytime’s The Young and the Restless and broadcast television newest soap opera, Beyond the Gates that racked up the most nominations with 18 and 16, respectively.
The full reveal on Tuesday follows the announcement of several major categories including Lead Actor and Actress on Monday via Extra and Entertainment Tonight and The View today revealing Daytime Drama Series and more.
The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmys ceremony is set to take place on Friday, October 30 at the historic Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California.

In a statement, Adam Sharp, President and CEO of NATAS expressed, “We’re proud to honor the extraordinary talent and creative teams whose work continues to define and elevate daytime television, As the Daytime landscape evolves and new forms of storytelling emerge, we remain committed to recognizing the innovation happening across the industry.”

The Daytime Emmy Awards have recognized outstanding achievement in television programming and crafts since 1974, honoring work in a variety of genres, including daytime dramas, talk series, entertainment news, culinary, adventure, instructional and legal/courtroom programming.
This year’s Lifetime Achievement Honoree, Gold & Silver Circle Inductees, and ceremony host will be announced at a later date.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’
The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16
General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
