GENERAL HOSPITAL: Holly to Sasha, “Cody is Your Cousin”; Sam & Dante Tell the Kids She’s Going to Save Lulu
On Thursday’s October 17th episode of General Hospital, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) who is not happy to see her mother, who lo and behold now is Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), wonders why she showed up at the Q’s now. Sasha thinks she must want some money or is pulling off another one of her scams. Hmmm, seems Sasha is quite familiar with her mother’s penchant for ruses.
Holly says she’s here because she is worried about Sasha’s wellbeing. They tell the backstory of how Sasha was left with that “creepy” Vickers guy in Llanview (what?), while Holly was off finding her half-brother Ethan and getting him out of trouble.
Apparently, Holly knows about Valentin’s idea that brought Sasha to Port Charles to scam Nina Reeves and to pretend she was her daughter. Finally, Holly spells out the reason she is here now. She tells her daughter that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is her father (which is news to Sasha), so therefore she cannot remain in a relationship with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), because they are cousins.

Next, Holly gives the reason she did not come forward with this information sooner as she was trying to protect her since Robert and Mac (John J. York) had many enemies. Sasha doesn’t believe her and demands to know why she wasn’t told sooner. She points out that Robert has a solid relationship with his other daughter Robin, and danger never kept them apart. Holly says she betrayed Robert and should have come forward sooner. Sasha tells her mother to leave as she does not believe her (or does not want too) and heads over to the stables and plants a kiss on Cody.

Elsewhere, Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) break the news to Rocco (Finn Carr), Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Scout (Cosette Abinante) that Sam is the donor match for Lulu and will undergo surgery shortly to save Lulu’s life. Rocco is so relieved and thankful and gives Sam a big hug. Everyone is optimistic about the upcoming surgery which is the day after tomorrow, except Scout who is worried something could happen to her mother (Oh, Scout!). But everyone is happy and reassured that all will go well and Lulu will live. The episode comes to a conclusion with Lulu’s bed in the hospital and the monitors she is hooked up to beeping.

What do you think of the backstory told thus far that Holly and Robert are Sasha’s parents? What do you think GH will do now that they have made Sasha and Cody cousins? Do you think Holly is lying, yet again? (Check out the scenes below).
Meanwhile, it seems like Scout may turn out to be right that her mom could be in danger from her transplant surgery to save Lulu, given what we know that Kelly Monaco will soon exit the soap opera. Share your thoughts via the comment section.
Soaps often stretch the limits of logical thinking but usually don’t venture into preposterous territory.
Viewers are supposed to believe:
1. Two brothers we’ve known for over 30 years both have suddenly discovered adult offspring with a few months.
2. Said offspring have been dating each other.
3. Holly is only visiting Sasha now – not when her newborn or husband died, or when she was institutionalized.
4. Sasha is the daughter of the town’s most notorious conwoman, yet was conned by amateur Gladys.
5. Based on the timeline presented, to conceive Sasha, Robert would have had to cheated on Anna not long after their second wedding ceremony.
6. Holly hid a pregnancy despite being in Port Charles on screen living with Mac & Robin at the time.
I’m sure I can think of another half dozen or more illogical issues, but lord, this storyline has inklings of poisoned pancakes or an unabortion.
Great points. I guess writers no longer care about character history or they assume viewers are too stupid to notice, remember or care. Shame.
Holly came back January, of 1992. Robert was with Anna all of 1991 – most of it spent chasing his brother Mac. There was that memorable scene when Robert and Anna had sex during the earthquake – yes the earth shook.Allowing Mac to bust out of jail.
So Holly would have to have slept with Robert between January and February 25th.
Tell me Robert cheated on Anna while she was kidnapped and missing. Oh and yes they had a torrid affair while 9-year-old Robin was underfoot who was totally tic’d at Holly for playing dead.
I don’t get it. Unless they are breaking them up so Sasha can go to Michael – there are no options for new potential lovers for either of them. I am wondering if GH is going to go down the Cousin Couple road. GH has been doing high levels of ick lately (Willow – Drew – Nina and Jason & Anna together)
“high levels of Ick” indeed.
Holy cow what a memory. I was wondering how they were going to justify Sasha not being close to Mac in the DNA results. A lot on GH has been bugging me …the Nina/willow/drew (the eww) triangle and where the hell is fin..the Anna and Jason kiss when I clearly remember Jason carrying Robin off of the nurses ball stage while in
tears, the sad tired sonny/Carly thing .either be together or not. I kind of like Carly with Brennan…and the one new fun couple are apparently cousins? Wtf..I wish for more Tracy and Luke
I don’t think they would seem to that level
She’s a con & a waste she’s after something always
Stupid storyline I agree
I think he daddy is the pyscho who was supposed to be Cody’s daddy
That con dossier holly is not even worth having in the screen
She went there bc she found out what Cody does & didn’t think there was any value in him
Where it’s she that has never amounted to be anything or anyone of any use
What a waste of filming
Is everyone become a Spencer? Thru blood, 1/2 blood, and sibling with different fathers ?
As crazy as all this seems…it finally dies give Sasha solid roots to the show.
Gosh, I hate all of this. We all know Kelly is leaving and Sam will be killed off, which takes the suspense out of the story and removes any potential emotional gut-punch her death could have had if it took us by surprise. Instead, we got weeks of frustration and disbelief that GH is really doing what they’re doing to the character.
As for Holly and Sasha… the story makes no sense. Sasha’s history and upbringing have been completely retconned, and for what reason? To ruin her relationship with Cody, something that fans actually like? And why bringing David Vickers, of all people, into this story? Wasn’t Sasha left with her grandparents? Such a joke…
GH needs new writers, ASAP. The story directions for the past few months have been terrible.
I am so hoping that Sam lives through the operation. That would be a twist since the entire GH Universe is expecting her to tank on the operating table.
My vision would be for Sam to go out a real hero in a hail of bullets via Jenz Sidwell. We all know he is coming to Port Charles with his tribe of hitmen dragging along some serious automatic weapons.
Then this will all be Holly’s fault for stealing those diamonds.
Sam going out in a hail of bullets would not be good for the story. A liver with bullet holes in it would not be viable for donation. Everybody is expecting Sam to die on the table now that she’s the designated donor, but that might not be exactly how it plays out.
Apparently Friday’s episode (hasn’t aired down here yet) ends with Sam being frustrated after trying to referee a shouting match between her two sisters. This could leave Sam a little brain-rattled and cause her to make a mistake while driving. Possibly she gets in a terrible accident and by the time she arrives at GH, they find that she’s “brain dead” with no chance of recovery.
Thereby leaving the option open for Lulu to get a full new liver, instead of just half.
No Satan – after the donation is over – then the bullets – or an explosion or anything that is less dull than her heartbeat just flatlining.
Well, after recovering from half your liver being removed, one would probably be staying at home and resting for a while, so presumably if that were the path they took with the story, Sam would be avoiding dangerous situations for a while.
Unless Sidwell was trying to track down Jason based on old contact information and broke into the penthouse, expecting to find him there. Though that penthouse is right across the hall from Sonny’s, so it should be a reasonably well guarded building.
Satan – you are trying to make way too much sense. These soap writers pull stuff out of the air. She could die in a car crash on the way home. How’s that? Or Sidwell could just take a random hostage – although I’m not sure why I’d expect these writers to get creative. Just that everyone is expecting Sam to die of a liver donation – to me a real twist would be if she didn’t.
WHAT grandparents could have raised Sasha? Who the devil are Holly’s parents? Isn’t Holly from England? Wouldn’t her parents most likely have lived in England? Or did Robert’s parents raise her in Australia? They would be 1,000 years old (ha) No! How/where did Valentin find her to start with to pose as Nina’s kid? These writers have written themselves into a big mess.
Agree about Sam. I hate knowing too much in advance. Kelly deserves way better than this. I still can’t believe they are killing her off. I am sick of seeing that hand in Lulu’s bed. Does getting a new liver wake someone up from a 4 yr. coma? Or will she stay in a coma for another 4 years with dead Sam’s liver? Anyone thinking of Sam’s kids? Mother? Sisters? Spinelli? He will be devasted when she dies.
Well, I can say for a fact that the Devil is not one of Holly’s parents! Though the idea that Holly’s mother is the grandma that Sasha was living with when Val the Bastard hired her to be Nina’s fake daughter seems like real sloppy writing, since historically, Holly was never that close to her mother and was more or less raised by somebody named “Nanny McTavish”, if my Fuzzy Devil Memory recalls correctly (that is a 40 year old story, after all) . So one day Granny Sutton (or whatever her name is) just up and leaves merry old England for upstate New York, and yet Holly has never mentioned her mum living in the States during any of her visits to Port Charles. Let alone having a daughter who was being raised by said mum.
As far as the new liver waking Lulu up, the fact that there’s a Lulu recast would suggest that is exactly what will happen. I’m a Devil, not a doctor, so I can’t speak to whether or not that’s within the realms of a realistic medical outcome, but this is the show where Nina previously woke up after being a vegetable for 20 years, and was out of her wheelchair (though still faking it) within a matter of weeks.
Robert and Mac’s parents died in a plane crash where Mac was the pilot – causing a decade long rift between the brothers. Robert blamed Mac and wanted nothing to do with him when Mac showed up in PC in 1991.
And yes, as story goes, Holly (and Anna to some extent) were both raised by Nanny McTavish (who later seemed to have some nefarious connection).
The idea that Holly’s mother was living in upstate New York is pure idiocy. Will make an exception if they get Joan Collins to play her in flashbacks.
Well. they managed to get Morgan Fairchild and Donna Mills, so why not Joan Collins?
I watched this play out on my screen yesterday in utter bafflement. There’s Emma Samms (God bless her!) doing her best to sell it, and I’m twisting my brain to try to make it make any kind of sense, because it just . . . doesn’t.
When news came that Patrick Mulcahey had departed, didn’t we get quotes from somebody on the show (I want to say Steve Burton, but I could be wrong about that) about how Elizabeth Korte was so familiar with the show’s history and could be counted on to write in a way that honored it? You’d be hard pressed to prove it, if any of this colossal mess was her idea.
I also hate what it’s doing to the character of Holly, who I’ll admit was never a saint, but I don’t remember her being this deliberately uncaring of her actions and how they affected those around her. She used to be likable and fun; now she’s . . . neither. It’s enough to make me wish ES hadn’t come back after all.
Bring on David Vickers, GH needs some comic relief.
100% best comment yet !
David Vickers – I had to laugh when Sasha mentioned his name. Yes, anything would help right now. If I am still watching after GH breaks up my favorite couple.
Hoping this test comes out negative. I do like how Sasha just blew into Robert’s office and asked him right up front. Of course he had a DNA WSB testing lab on speed dial.
If they are actually cousins – it is not unheard of for cousins to be a couple. It is legal in 24 states including New York for 1st cousins to marry.
I am just so incredibly upset that after 2 years of waiting for this couple to finally be together – GH rips the rug out from under us. It makes me think that fans are really unimportant in the scheme of things and they really don’t care about us.
This is something that makes me want to stop watching the show altogether. Why watch if your favorite character or couple will either end up dead, missing, or are forced to break up because of the latest DNA test.
Ironic thing about cousins on GH….
Lucky and Elizabeth are technically cousins, as Liz is the daughter of Jeff Webber and Lucky’s mom Laura is the daughter of Rick Webber (who is now in Hell, because he took a really bad turn the last time he was in Port Charles). Of course Rick was Laura’s adopted father, so fortunately no biology there.
And despite Maxie’s protestations to Holly today about Sasha & Cody possibly being cousins, I guess she forgot how both she and her sister Georgie were both heavily crushing on their cousin Lucas when they were all teenagers. Of course nothing ever came of that, probably because Lucas wasn’t into girls anyway. But still kind of weird to be lusting after your cousin. And of course, Lucas isn’t biologically a Jones.
Another ridiculous story that is insulting the intelligence of the audience that has been with this show for decades in many cases. Another ridiculous rewriting of history.
The show is an absolute dumpster fire right now. The ratings are in the toilet, and have been for a while. You can change the writers as many times as you want, which is honestly starting to become like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic at this point. You can keep going to the well, getting increasingly dry by the day, of bringing back characters from the past. When is Frank Valentini going to start taking the blame for the mess GH has become? And the question becomes, would ABC even bother giving someone else a chance to resurrect the show one last time, or would it cut its losses and move on. A fate I don’t even want to imagine.
I don’t like TJ and Molly as a couple. They should break up quickly. And why haven’t TJ and Molly sought out any African American surrogates? After all TJ is Black.
All that Sasha when through-I lost sleep when she & Brando’s baby died-it was excruciating & then when he died-OMG. It was gut wrenching & her dear mother Holly never checked in on her during all that? I hate this-Cody is Mac’s long lost son & now Sasha is Robert’s long lost daughter? Too much even for soaps.
Now on to Lulu. Would anyone want to donate a body part & go through all the risk, etc. for someone who has been in a coma for 4 years & still is in the coma? I don’t think I’d do it. I mean, is Lulu gonna get the liver from Sam & suddenly wake up? And poor Sam will be dead? I absolutely abhor this storyline. They should have just let Lulu die. Sam’s death will affect way more people than Lulu’s after all this time.
I’m just glad all these vets are back: Holly, Lucky, Rick, Lois, Tracy…it actually feels like GH again. And, I’m on board for Sasha and Cody to stay together even if it turns out they’re first cousins. It’s legal in NY, it’s not incest, they didn’t grow up together and only just met a while back. The writers should keep them together and those of us who are okay with it can count how many heads explode online.
Might be legal.. but don’t first cousins have difficulties should they have a child? I don’t know.. but gees, GH certainly seems to loves to keep everything “in the family” lately.
I guess the question should be how would you feel if your daughter was sleeping with your sisters son?
Hi GH fan…Well; lets’ start with it’s a soap. 😉 And on this soap, Dante and Sam have the same brother (Leo) and the same sister (Kristina). Liz and Franco had the same brother (Steven Webber). Dante and Sonny both slept with Sam, Bobbie and Carly both slept with Tony, Sam and Alexis both slept with Rick. So there’s all sorts of “relationships” on GH, so to speak.
How would I feel in real life? Hard to say; could freak out. I guess that would be my impulse. But, still, they are not brother and sister and they were not brought up in the same family. I think it would be different if my sister and I were close and brought up our children together, and then they wound up falling in love as adults, as opposed to this GH family where both had no clue who their parents were, didn’t know each other, met in their thirties…
As for having kids? Genetic testing is available. I think people making it weird is when it becomes weird. Objectively, given how they met, the fact that they had no clue, weren’t in the same family, have no childhood history…and it’s a soap? Good to go with me. 😉
Thanks Rebecca1, I appreciate your in depth response and fully agree with your thoughts.
Thanks GH fan. I wish everyone was as open to it. There seems to me to be only a few outcomes; Scorpio really is Sasha’s father and they break Sasha and Cody up, or Cody finds out he’s not really Mac’s which would really piss me off. I was/am so happy that Mac was finally given a “child” of his own, so I hope the show isn’t going to mess with that. I can’t imagine the writers going with “yeah they’re cousins and they’re going to remain a couple” because I think that the majority of viewers would self-combust, lol! The only way out I can see is if Holly literally believed all these years that Scorpio was the father, but it turns out to be Luke.
I could see the writers quickly switching Sasha father to be Luke, not Robert.
Seems us viewers know and care about the shows history more than some of the writers.
Let the dna test prove Robert is not Sasha’s dad dont mess with Sasha and Cody damn gh get better writers let Luke be her dad why dont you let this couple alone let’s go back where family last like lila and Edward damn chill
I think Sasha needs a blood test, she should Not believe her mother! She is up to something. Holly is just looking for an in with Robert to hang on to him. Then she will leave again. As for Sam, I think she should live through the surgery so no is left traumatized. Sam should leave because she loves Dante so much and can’t watch Dante and Lulu as they grow back together.
Realistically, if they were going to retcon anybody into being Robert’s kid, it should be Lucas. Because that possibility was always there, and the explanation of a faked paternity test would be far more credible than this entire Sasha clusterphuck, where the timetables simply don’t line up with Sasha’s age.
It actually would be cool for Robert to have a son who was raised by Bobbie Spencer and named after his best friend, Luke.
Well, we know who the writer should be, bravo! It’s sure better than this other crap.
With Bobbie, Tony, Luke, and Julian all dead – there’s no payoff in switching Lucas paternity any more. The story supposedly back in the day was that TR didn’t want Robert (who was the lead male character at that point) to have a child with Cheryl. Not sure if that’s entirely true.
I don’t like what the writers did to make Sasha and Cody cousins I was hoping that they have them to be boyfriend and girlfriend that’s wrong I don’t like these writers.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Gets Willow Right Where He Wants Her, Curtis is Found Guilty and Sentenced to Prison

The Thursday, August 13 episode of General Hospital gave us just what Michael (Rory Gibson) was going to do to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), now that he had the goods on her that she shot Drew, the verdict in the Curtis (Donnell Turner) vs. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) case, and left us with Trina (Tabyana Ali) alone with her stalker nearby. Let’s take a look at how it all went down!
When Willow arrived at the Quartermaines to pick up Wiley and Amelia, she was stopped in her tracks when Michael confronted her armed with the truth that she shot Drew (Cameron Mathison) twice in the back. She denies it. However, Michael pulls out of an envelope signed affidavits from Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina, explaining they were at Drew’s house that night and have proof.
Michael explains her ring tone went off on her phone while she was getting ready to shoot Drew, and it was a match for Wiley’s. Kai and Trina heard the same ringtone at the courthouse when she stood trial for attempted murder. Willow threw the fact that she can’t be tried again in a court of law because of double jeopardy. However, Michael stopped her ranting and says double jeopardy doesn’t apply in family court.

HOW MICHAEL GOT THE UPPER HAND ON WILLOW
Now, Michael is ready to expose her crime. Suddenly, Willow grabs the rolling pin on the counter to strike Michael, but he is able to block her. Michael tells Willow she either accepts the arrangement he is about to tell her, or she will never see her children again. Willow tries to counter that Jacinda drugged her and she can prove it. However, Michael lets it be known that Jacinda is long gone with no forwarding address.
Next, Michael tells Willow she can remain a part of their children’s lives and he will keep their current custody arrangement as long as she moves back into the gatehouse. Willow hates the gatehouse, but knows she has no other option, so she says she will pack up her things at Nina’s and move in.

GUILTY!
At the courthouse, the jury has reached a verdict in the case of Curtis vs. Isaiah. When the jury comes back before the court, the jury foreperson shares, “We find the defendant, Curtis Ashford, guilty of second-degree assault and battery.” In lieu of the verdict, the judge sentences Curtis to ten years in prison at Pentonville with the possibility of parole in two years.
Curtis’ attorney Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) tells his client he has gotten him 48 hours before he had to report to prison, and planned to file an appeal with the courts on the verdict. Curtis then says heartfelt goodbyes with Trina and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), before heading over to Portia’s (Brook Kerr) to see his newborn son, Desmond knowing he will not see him for quite a long time.
WHO’S THE STALKER?
Trina and Kai are at now at Bobbie’s. They talk about her father going to prison, and Trina is channeling her feelings into her songwriting. Kai decides to let Trina be by herself so she can focus and he won’t be a distraction. However, after Kai makes his exit, someone is looking through the windows at Bobbie’s and targeting Trina. But who? We fade to black.
So, what did you think about Michael having the goods on Willow and knowing she shot Drew? Were you happy about how he used the information to gain the upper hand to get her to move back into the Quartermaines gatehouse? Were you hoping for a different outcome? Are we just a short time away from Michael and Willow being back together as a couple after everything that has happened? Then, what did you think of the verdict in Curtis’ case? Glad he going away to prison for what he did? Do you care, or do not really care? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Carlo Rota Shares His Run as Sidwell Has NOT Come to an End

After General Hospital viewers learned this week from Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was sentenced to 31 years in prison with a possibility for parole in 26 years for all of his crimes (after he had taken a plea deal with the Port Charles court system), fans were wondering the status of Rota with the show.
With so many recent on-screen exits, GH viewers were concerned that Rota was the next casualty, although his character of Sidwell deserves to be put a way for life, it appears we may see him back, and from his jail cell. Could he wind up being the cellmate of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), who on today’s August 13 episode was sentenced to 10 years in prison with a possibility of parole for two years, for physically attacking Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson)? Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, Sidwell’s portrayer, Carlo Rota gave a clue as to his character’s whereabouts during his General Hospital Fan Club Weekend event, along with his wife Nazneen Contractor (Justine, GH), according to a report from Soap Central.

Photo: ABC
WHAT IS SIDWELL’S FUTURE AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH HIS BUSINESS HOLDINGS?
Rota told the crowd in attendance that Sidwell will soon be seen in Pentonville and his scenes will also include another familiar face from the Port Charles canvas. Could it be Curtis or someone else yet to be thrown into the slammer? Carlo teased, “I am in prison with another character from the show. We share a cell.”
The last time anyone saw Jenz Sidwell was back on the July 6 episode when he was in the interrogation room at the PCPD and tried to make a deal with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
The deal was that he wanted Jordan to get her hands on his money from his offshore bank accounts and in return, he can get her hooked up with the best plastic surgeon in the world (the one in Germany that Michael went to) and she can jump ahead over the waiting list. However, Jordan turned him down flat, although the thought of fixing her face still weighs heavily upon her.
GH viewers first met Sidwell, the newest villain in town to go up against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for the his territory, back in August of 2024.
Flash-forward to late summer of 2026, there has been plenty of talk by Sonny and now Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to take over Sidwell’s business holdings that will be up for auction, most likely setting the stage for Drew and Sidwell to be in cahoots, or some other shenanigans to get back at Sonny.
So, are you glad to know that there will be more Sidwell on the way soon? Do you wish the character would just already be off the canvas for good? Glad that Curtis got 10-year prison sentence, or don’t care? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section.

James Franco, ‘General Hospital’ Alum and Oscar Nominee, in New Microdrama ‘Love, Lies and Frank’ on Shortical

James Franco (ex-Franco, GH), who has been trying to make a comeback of sorts, is now starring in Love, Lies and Frank, a new vertical drama for Shortical. Love Lies and Frank is among the first microdramas produced under the new SAG-AFTRA agreement verticals agreement.
The two-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner, and former General Hospital guest star is sharing the vertical screen with mainstay microdrama stars, Eric Guilmette and Neela Jolene.
In story, Love, Lies and Frank follows Jimmy Frank (Franco), the CEO of a high-powered ad agency. A man with confidence and humor but marred with risk and unresolved consequence, Jimmy navigates running his company while also dealing with criminal and supernatural underworld threats. Meanwhile, one of Jimmy’s ambitious employees, Daniella Hanson (Jolene), lands her dream campaign and reignites a forbidden romance with her eccentric boss’s stepbrother Cameron Frank (Guilmette), forcing her to choose between the career she’s fought for and the love she’s been hiding.

JAMES FRANCO HEADLINES A MICRODRAMA
Guy Shimoni, CEO of Shortical said of adding James Franco to the cast, “Hollywood is beginning to embrace vertical storytelling in a meaningful way. To see a talent like James Franco headlining an original microdrama is an important milestone for the industry. We at Shortical are proud to be setting the standard by bringing world-class talent, filmmakers, and stories to audiences in an entirely new way, proving that premium entertainment can thrive in a mobile-first world.”
Love, Lies & Frank is directed by Eric Wang Schwager, written by Melissa Lynn Moore and produced by Knockout Shorts with Peter Gold of Gold Films. No AI generated performances or digital replicas were used in the production, which has been a recent move by several vertical short companies.
Matthew Ko, Co-Founder and CEO of Knockout Shorts added, “Love, Lies & Frank was a really fun collision of worlds. It gave us the opportunity to play with the conventions of the genre, and subvert them just enough without losing sight of what audiences already love about these stories. The goal was always to make something that felt both familiar and completely unexpected.”

THE ARTIST KNOWN AS FRANCO ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
General Hospital fans will recall it was back in 2009, that James Franco, played the artist known as “Franco” who was fixated on death and became a main villain of the show and nemesis to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). At the time, James Franco explained about his GH alter-ego. “Franco works in a lot of different ways. He does graffiti, performances, photographs. He creates installations based on murder scenes featuring murders he possibly was involved with. He’s interested in pushing the boundaries of art – both aesthetically and ethically – and he will go way too far.”
James played “Franco” for a few runs on the soap opera from 2009-2010 and again for stint from the fall of 2011 to early 2012. Later in 2013, the role of Franco was recast with Roger Howarth playing the role until 2021.
The last several years have been difficult for James Franco to find work in Hollywood, following a 2019 sexual misconduct scandal and abuse of power allegations of inappropriate behavior towards aspiring actresses at his now-defunct acting school, Studio 4. Franco settled a lawsuit for $2.2 million in 2021, later admitting he slept with students and addressing issues surrounding power imbalances. The actor maintained he did not open his acting school to lure women for sexual advances. Since the scandal broke in 2019, James has only appeared in five films and mostly from international distributors.
Love, Lies & Frank is now available exclusively on Shortical here.
So, what do you think of James Franco starring in a microdrama? Did you enjoy him as General Hospital’s OG Franco? Let us know via the comment section below.
