GENERAL HOSPITAL: Lucas Steps Into the Danger Zone After Pascal’s Outburst
On General Hospital, Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) has decided to avenge his boyfriend’s death. So, he’s going to park himself at Wyndemere, which will lead him into treacherous path of a revenge-filled Pascal (Marc Forget), who is taking the loss of his infatuation, Marco Rios, to extremes!
On the April 2 episode, Lucas has two very threatening encounters. First, when Lucas arrives at Wyndemere he has an encounter with Marco’s grieving father, who tells him that Marco’s killer must be brought to justice, and that this gives the two men an opportunity to lean on one another in their grief.
Lucas doesn’t trust Sidwell (Carlo Rota) as far as he can throw him, and in a nuanced performance by Van Hansis, playing the anguish of losing Marco, and his absolute disgust of Sidwell, Lucas agrees to Sidwell’s request to stay on Spoon Island. However, when Sidwell hugs Lucas, it’s all he can do to hold himself back from his distrust of the nefarious Sidwell, but viewers see he is determined to find out what happened to Marco.

A DEADLY OBSESSION
Then, a drunk Pascal enters the study and tells Lucas in a very back-handed way that he’d make sure his room was clean since he is staying a Wyndemere. Lucas notices something is very off with Pascal and that he’s drunk. Pascal shouts that he is grieving Marco’s death and it is all Lucas’s fault.
Pascal screams that Lucas used Marco, and that he saw Lucas sneaking around and listening in on private conversations. He then goes ballistic and tells Lucas that he was the one that should be dead! Pascal beelines it out of the study, leaving Lucas completely shaken.
The GH writers have now built a major story for Lucas. First, he operated and saved the life of the man who stabbed his boyfriend to death in Cullum. Second, he has now ensconced himself at Wyndemere with two very bad men … Sidwell and Pascal.

I wasn’t completely sure before yesterday. Now I know. In addition to being evil, Pascal is nuts.
Van Hansis is doing an amazing acting job in his role. Believable. Mentioned before that he hasn’t had a scene this week where his eyes were not full of tears. He makes me cry. I think, if anything, he will avenge Marco’s murder…and we won’t see it coming.
The scenes between Lucas and Britt were extremely well done. Van has truly shined these past few weeks.
The writers don’t know what to do with Pascal. Last year, he was the enforcer in Croatia. Then he was downgraded to a glorified butler. Now they’ve revealed he’s gay and has been pining for Marco. Obsessed with Marco is more like it. Now he’s unhinged. The only consistent trait through all these versions is he is creepy. I won’t miss Pascal whenever his storyline ends. I won’t miss Sidwell either. Sidwell, for someone who never heard of Port Charles a few years ago, sure has his hands in everything regarding Faison.
Pascal is great fun! The actor who plays him is good at playing psycho-campy if there is such a thing.
The scenes between Lucas and Pascal offered a perfect mediation between solid writing and pitch perfect acting on both actors’ parts. Pascale’s escalation into insanity drive by his lovelorn grief and Lucas’s reaction was pure gold. It was evocative of the golden age of soaps- the 80s. As I said before, I loved Pascale going all Mrs Danvers to Lucas’s Mrs De Winters. (for reference, check out Rebecca starring Joan Fontaine and Lawrence Olivier)
Just as long as the two of them don’t hook up as some sort of “grief sex”. Because that would be a little too much.Though at least no pregnancies would be involved, as is usually the case with such types of “one night stands” in Port Charles.
Like I said though, I really hope Lucas gives Pascal & Sidwell a reality check and tells them that their buddy Cullum killed Marco, and leaves it up to them how to handle their internal “housecleaning” within the Legion of Dumb ranks.
Lucas had too much class to consider Pascal as a dance partner.
The two of them together would be the gay version of Luke and Felicia or Sonny and Emily. Gross.
I wasn’t around for Sonny & Emily, thank goodness. And I wish I hadn’t seen the Luke & Felicia mess. Ick!
The thought of them hooking up for “ grief sex” didn’t cross my mind. Yes. That would ruin everything and push Lucas over the edge. Poor guy has been through enough.
Absolutely love the performances of Sidwell and Lucas’ tearful eyes. Why was Marco written out of his part. Simply a gorgeous man— what will he do now?
Lucas continues to break my heart. VH continues his stellar performances. Hope he can get Britt’s meds for her now that he is staying at Wyndemere. Give this man a contract, STAT!

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Sonny makes a stunning announcement. Serena makes her move. Willow faces a new threat. Isaiah takes the stand. Lucy questions Laura.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 7
Josslyn is taken aback. Ava courts a new ally. Jordan and Anna catch up. Isaiah vents to Lucas and Elizabeth. Michael questions Jacinda.

General Hospital Fan Club Weekend brought out many of your favorites to the four day event; with the main cast gathering on Saturday, August 1. Fans near and far attended the weekend held this year at the Burbank Marriott Hotel. Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.
PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
