GENERAL HOSPITAL: Lulu Learns Bobbie Died and Then Has a Reunion with Maxie

We just don’t know how a person, such as Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins), could wake up from a coma and find out so many of her beloved family members are dead, and not be more than just shell-shocked! It would have to be traumatizing. Couple that with the fact, that she has gone into full mamma bear mode trying to find her MIA daughter, Charlotte Cassadine. However, that’s what Lulu has been coping with since she came back to the land of the living.

Now, on the Wednesday, December 13th episode of General Hospital, after calming down a bit after putting Brennan (Charles Mesure) on blast, for not getting in touch with Valentin and hence then her daughter, she sits and talks with Carly (Laura Wright). It is there she learns that it has almost been a year since her aunt Bobbie Spencer died. This, is on top of learning her father, Luke passed, Spencer has passed, Sam has passed, etc, etc.

As played in the more than capable hands of Alexa Havins, Lulu definitely registered the huge loss of Bobbie Spencer and how gut-wrenching it is for the family, and for Carly to have lost her mother; which only further fueled Lulu to want to be reunited with her daughter ASAP.

However, Lulu was finally reunited with bestie Maxie (Kirsten Storms). Those looking for a massive emotional reunion with so many tears and more, got more of a sit-down, where their discussion focused on finding Charlotte, and Lulu admitting she still gets butterflies when she sees Dante (but she understands he is grieving the loss of Sam and when he sees her, so it reminds him how she is alive and Sam is gone).

Kirsten Storms’ Maxie and her girlfriend relationship with Lulu, was always one of the great constants of GH. Let’s just hope in the days and months ahead we get to see more of it.

So, what did you think of the scenes where Lulu learned Bobbie died and then was reunited with Maxie? Do you think the soap should delve into a bit more how Lulu is handling the deaths of so many people that are now gone from her life? Do you think Lulu will soon be reunited with her daughter, Charlotte? Comment below, but first check out this teaser for the action on today’s December 12th episode of GH below.

I’m ready to see her scenes with Tracy, and more with Cody.

In addition, can we have more Jordan and Isaiah and less with Trina and Kai? Is anyone really interested in the art project and Trina acting so angry that he wasn’t carrying his load. I also feel Anna is being hypocritical about acting so angry about Valentin’s disappearance when she was the one to let him leave with Charlotte. The “kidnapping” of Martin was ridiculous. Can we please have LOTS more Ava and Rick.

I honestly have no interest in Trina; if there was one character I couldn’t care less was given the boot, it’d be Trina.

Amen to that and thanks to FF on my recorder.

agree with you 100%

One minor continuity error the show didn’t catch… when Lulu was harassing Nina and Madison brought in the security officer. Lulu said to call her cousin Carly Spencer. Carly didn’t start using that name until 2023 – a few years into Lulu’s coma. She would’ve asked for Carly Corinthos, as she was still married to Sonny when Lulu went to ZZZ land in December 2020.

Yeah, that is a FLUB!

There’s also the fact that Lulu showed up at the Q mansion looking for Tracy. Except I’m pretty sure that Tracy was living in Amsterdam with Luke at the time that Lulu went to Veggieland. So how did she know Tracy would be there?

Tracy was visiting PC around the time when Lulu went into her coma. Now, I don’t recall if Lulu saw her before the explosion or did Tracy just show up in the hospital before Lulu was sent to the long term facility.

Tracy showed up when Lulu was right about to be transferred to the long-term care facility; it was the Christmas episodes.

I found Lulu reaction to Carly telling her that Bobbie had passed a little lacking. After all, Bobbie was her Aunt.

Will Elizabeth be the one who tells Lulu about Epiphany?

Lulu and Maxie’s reunion is everything I wanted it to be. I’m loving Alexa Havins’ version of Lulu, because she reminds me so much of Julie Marie Berman’s Lulu. THIS is Lulu. Kirsten Storms and Alexa Havins are so natural together as Maxie and Lulu.

I liked this Lulu at first. Now she’s getting on my last nerve–don’t quite know why–lol

Maybe because she’s acting a lot like Carly.

I know it’s not supposed to be funny, but I couldn’t help but laugh at all the bad news that’s been dumped on Lulu since she woke up from the coma. “You had a liver transplant, and your liver donor Sam died, your brother is in prison, your nephew is presumed dead, your father died, your aunt Bobbie died, and Cyrus Renault, the man that is responsible for the bomb that put you in a coma for 4 years, is your uncle.”

Imagine waking up after 4 years and having all of that dropped in your lap, lol. I’d be ready to climb back in that hospital bed, pull the blankets over my head, and be like “Peace out, I’ll be back in another 4 years!”

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”

Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
