GENERAL HOSPITAL: Tristan and Britt Continue to Have Snarky Runs-Ins: Do You Feel an On-Screen Spark?

On the Tuesday, July 21 episode of General Hospital, the new cardiac surgeon in town, Dr. Tristan Rogers, played by recent cast addition Dean Geyer, once again had a confrontation with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud). This time while at the hospital.
In the scenes, Britt arrived to have a meeting to hopefully get her job back. However, she was not happy to learn from her new pal, Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) that Tristan is the new surgeon on staff at GH!
Britt informs Lucas she is on the edge because she has to meet with Stella (Vernee Watson) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) to see if they would reinstate her. Lucas warns her to try to be humble. Immediately after that, Tristan sees Britt. He informs her that her room at Bobbie’s is available again as he is moving out and to the Metro Court which is more to his liking and style.

BRITT GETS REINSTATED WITH CONDITIONS
The two throw barbs at each other when Britt finds out how Carly supposedly helped Tristan to get the room at the hotel. Lucas pulled Tristan away for a patient consult to ease the snark between the two doctors.
In the meeting, Stella and Elizabeth decide to give Britt an opportunity to explain her actions. Britt then has to apology for locking Elizabeth in the closet so she could flee the country with Rocco. Stella and Elizabeth also note how she faked her own death and the list of bad behavior and choices she has exhibited in the past year alone.
When Elizabeth and Stella ask, why they should rehire her? Britt says because she is an excellent doctor, which Elizabeth agrees with and gives Britt props for saving the life and bringing baby Phoebe into the world when Delilah died.
Ultimately, Britt is hired back with a six-month probationary period with a laundry list of additional responsibilities such as weekend shifts, working with the children, and more.
Meanwhile, Lucas invites Tristan to join the GH softball team to get to know people and they have a game tonight. Just then, Elizabeth came up with the idea that one of Britt’s additional duties was to be the new equipment manager for the team. In that moment, Tristan and Britt realize they have to see more of each other, when they already can’t stand each other (or so they say).
So, do you think that Tristan and Britt will soon be a new couple, especially after Jason sees Britt this week after his return from captivity? While Britt may hope things can pick right back up with Jason, will she be in for a devastating letdown, clearing the path down the line for a romance with Tristan? Do you think there are on-screen sparks already between Britt and Tristan, or do you feel like its completely feeling forced? Let us know via the comment section below.
From where I sit, Tristan looks way too young for Britt.
Agree completely. Tristan is a VERY young looking 40. I don’t know how old Kelly is but she looks much older than the character of Tristan.
Kelly is 44 next month.
And from where I sit, Britt is too young for Tristan. By that, I mean she’s too immature for him running around acting like a petulant, spoiled brat throwing tantrums when she doesn’t get her own way.
She is way too immature.
Have you wondered if Rocco might show some jealousy?
Let’s not forget the age differences with Ava and Morgan, and also, Kelly also dated a much younger, Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan)… Point being, 40s are the 40s, if there’s story, if there’s chemistry with both Kelly and Dean… then, by all means. I mean some fans were up in arms with the “big” age gap with Jos and Angent Vaugh. So, what, who cares? And another thing, so what?
YES! Enter NU Nikolas Cassadine! GH needs to be extremely smart who they bring in as the next Nikolas. I’ll say it, they need a brand name, if you will. Done effectively and with skill, GH could pull off a fantastic recast for Nick Cassadine. From what I’m reading on this site, fans would like a nu Maxie (at least temporary)… the role of Nick has been played by a handful of actors and Christopher Tyler was brilliant, yet, Nick should have been out of prison like two years ago, this is a soap after-all… Mark Tescher can do it, GH can do it… it’s time to bring Prince Cassadine back. We have new (and improved) Lulu…. so, Mark needs to put his thinking cap on, they need a brand name… no newbies. The right recast could get back into the Britt orbit. And, if Greg Vaughn is available, bring him back as Lucky. Bring Grandpa Nick back home to Cassadine Island, Spencer and Ace, too. We don’t need Esme, though! Unless she’s going to go toe to toe with Jossalyn, then I’m game.
Why have a Chief of Staff when they never show her? Terry is an interesting character and Cassandra James can act. All of a sudden, Stella (who I adore) is promoted from Patient Advocate to Chief Administrator?
As for Britt, this has to be her ninth life at the hospital.
I agree, the big let down the past few years is the lack of story, or willingness to create story for Chief of Staff (or co) with Terry at the helm. GH had make a wrecking ball with this intrigal role. I don’t know how Elizabeth Webber runs the hospital, she’s always there, doing everything. Ishiah is on a “leave” due to injury… I think he pops in for consults and Britt is all over the place, unstable for this profession, Lucas is recurring so, we see him and then on an odd day day, we have Doctor Navarro. Don’t get me started on Felicia working there as a Patient Advocate, but such a position is not needed from a supporting artist… she spends time with her family as she should and yes Felicia can work full-time but I’d rather Felicia maintain part of her past like the last time, whether you liked it or not, Felicia and Carly went on the search after Bobby’s passing to find a young woman who was a reporter or something and yeah, Felicia became intrigal the past month or so, heading to France to support Anna, etc. As for Portia, she’s been pregnant for two years! Before the birth of her son, she was at the hospital, sure, but Elizabeth does everything there! I love Elizabeth, she’s dedicated, committment and a life-long GH employee. Stella serves as Patient Adocate (to Chief Administrator) well. I think Felicia may need to be seen very minimally at GH, she will have her hands full with James. No Maxie on the horizon, which was huge misstep by GH, nevermind that… But Cody who does nothing on the show… had to break the news to James about “Nathan”…. that whole Maxie/Spinelli/Georgie outting to the Grand Canyon was the killer of the story. We all know what GH should have done with the Maxie character and they chose not to recast, so Felicia and Max (when John York is able to make appearances)… is James everything at the moment. Lucas pops in and out (due to recurring), Britt, here today, gone tomorrow, we’ll see what Dr Tristan’s deal is, Portia is now going to be on maternial leave… Isahiah is only good for consulting work… and I think Elizabeth, Stella, Lucas, Dr Tristan, Britt and Portia … are all a mixed bag, Again, god bless her, Elizabeth shows up at GH for anything… we NEED Terry BACK in a supporting capactity, GH! Too many loose ends with these characters and their “roles” at GH. Nix Felicia out of the staff, have Diona and maybe Amy, featured more with Liz and bring back BRAD!
Appreciate the reply, but egad, paragraph separations should be your friend.
Good day, I don’t require notes from the English police!
Hey Scrappy! I don’t think Steve was playing “ English police.” Your writing is just fine and you have a great and interesting take on things. I’m not Steve but what I think he means is paragraph breaks give your readers’ eyes a break. That way, your unique thoughts and ideas stand out and aren’t obscured by too much text. I know my old eyes appreciate a bit of space in between large chunks of writing especially after staring at a computer screen all day at work.
Well said, and very true!!
But Emily DID have a monumental story earlier this year. They gave her crusty eye disease for a day!
Actually I prefer the chemistry with Lucas…. I’d rather see a Lucas/Joe/Tristan triangle and Britta and Jason reuniting.
Is it true that Burton’s new wifey put the kibosh on any romantic pairings for Jason?
Britt is what Phyllis is Y&R . She is chaotic, gets into trouble and expects to be forgiven for her actions. I think is time to mature the character. Is it possible for soaps to create a romantic match without the two individuals hating each other at first sight and then suddenly falling in love?
Typing too quickly!
Do Steve and Kelly not get along or something? Their chemistry on screen is unmatched and this is twice now they’ve been separated before things could really get going. Anyway, this new doctor looks like he could be Britt’s long lost baby brother.
Well, that is what the rumor is. Supposedly, SB’s new wife isn’t comfortable with him doing love scenes and KT and SB aren’t clicking since her return. I am not sure I believe the not clicking part. I remember an interview where SB broke down exactly how KT’s return was presented. Basically, he and a producer were discussing potential pairings for Jason and SB didn’t really feel like anyone on the canvas at the moment and the female producer said the last person Jason sparked with was Britt. He agreed and the producer said well, let’s resurrect her then. They got Frank’s approval and reached out to KT to pitch the story. That was a year ago–could things have changed? I suppose but come on–it’s ACTING. It’s not like Britt and Jason are locking lips constantly. I guess we will see if Jason breaks up with Britt due to his PTSD. I think we are about to see him push many people away. I couldn’t stand Jason on a good day until he was paired with Britt. She performed a miracle.
Britt doesn’t need another long lost brother.
I know, right? Even in the picture at the top of this page where their faces are next to each other…they look too much alike. Please GH, do not pair them.
There is no chemistry between the two so GH writers please don’t put them together.
I haven’t seen Britt have chemistry with anyone since Patrick Drake. I like her sometimes but overall she is too much of a Britch.
I don’t see a spark between these two. Britt is not easy to match up with anyone.

‘General Hospital’ Casts Alimi Ballard in New Role

A familiar face to ABC daytime fans is about to make a return to the broadcast television network, when Alimi Ballard makes his debut as new character William Baines on the Thursday, September 3 episode of General Hospital.
Early in his career, Ballard played Frankie Hubbard, the grown-up son of legendary All My Children super couple, Angie (Debbi Morgan) and Jessie Hubbard (Darnell Williams). Alimi played the part starting on Loving in 1993 which later was rebranded The City in 1995.
The GH casting news came from TV Insider, and while no other casting details were made immediately available about the character of William Baines, he enters the canvas hot on the heels of a murder mystery after Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) was found dead in the Metro Court pool. Could William Baines be a detective, a WSB agent, or something else? Stay tuned!
If Ballard also looks very familiar to you, he has an impressive list of TV and film credits including: Quizmaster in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and FBI agent David Sinclair on Numb3rs, and starred with Vivica A. Fox (Stephanie, Y&R) on the sitcom, Arsenio, plus roles in numerous episodic dramas including: Criminal Minds, Queen Sugar, Queen of the South, Law & Order and The Rookie. He also appeared in the 1998 film Deep Impact.

DEBBI MORGAN HELPED ALIMI BALLARD PREPARE AS AN ACTOR
Alimi took part in a sit-down interview with the Theater Corner in 2020 where he opened up about his beginnings on a soap opera and working with Debbi Morgan. You can see that below. During the conversation Ballard shared, “I got a chance to work along alongside one of the greatest actors I’ve ever seen lace up her boots — Debbi Morgan.”
He added,”She taught me everything I needed to know to get started as an artist — how to prepare you for the level of intensity, the level of dedication required to make these fictional circumstances connect with the audience.”
So, when William Baines hits Port Charles on tomorrow’s Thursday September 3 episode of GH, how do you think the character will fit into the storyline? Looking forward to seeing Alimi Ballard back on the soaps after more than 30 years? Let us know via the comment section.
General Hospital
GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brennan is Found Dead in the Water as Suspects Mount and Cover-Ups Begin

The Tuesday, September 1 episode of General Hospital confirmed that the body floating in the Metro Court pool was indeed WSB Port Charles bureau chief, Jack Brennan, thus ending the run of Chris McKenna, who debuted on GH back in February of 2025.
In story, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) screamed and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) had a major freak out, when they were the ones to find Brennan’s body lifeless in the pool. Being in fear that Drew (Cameron Mathison) would use this against him, Danny told Charlotte they need to flee the scene.
Elsewhere in Jack’s hotel room, a panic-stricken Ava (Maura West) was trying to convince Drew to get out of Brennan’s room asap since she thinks the sleeping pill she spiked his drink with only made him head back to his room. Eventually, Ava was able to convince Drew to leave, and the two headed to the pool deck and were in for the shock of their lives when they saw Jack’s body floating face up in the pool!

THIS DOESN’T FLOAT AVA AND DREW’S BOAT
Ava went into cover-up mode in fear Jack’s death would be traced back to her since Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) saw her with Brennan at the Gardens. Next, Ava threatens to take down Drew with her if she goes down for a crime he put her up to in the first place.
Then, the pair decide to move Brennan’s body out of the pool and place him in a laundry cart. They are going to use the service elevator to bring the body down to the garage and dump Brennan somewhere.
At the Quartermaine boathouse, Charlotte and Danny arrive and Danny realizes he put a dent into Chase’s (Josh Swickard) truck that he “borrowed” without Chase’s permission. Suddenly, Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Rocco (Finn Carr) were on the scene and four got into heated words when Danny insulted Drew which brought Scout to tears that she doesn’t want to have to choose sides between her brother and her father.
SECURITY BREACH
After Rocco and Scout left, Charlotte had a new freak out when she realized the bracelet she had on is missing. Cut to: Jack’s wrist and sleeve in the laundry cart with Charlotte’s bracelet around it.
Jason (Steve Burton) helped Carly (Laura Wright) with figuring out how the hotel’s security system was disabled and the alarm was deactivated. Suspecting foul play to a VIP guest, Carly and Jason go up to to Jack’s room. However, once they were inside, Brennan was nowhere to be found. Just then, Jason looked around and realized someone was in the room doing a search.
So, it looks like plenty of people will need to cover their actions including: Danny, Charlotte, Ava and Drew. But if none of them caused the direct death of Brennan, who did? Chief among the suspects would have to be Willow Cain, then we had Nina leveling a threat against Jack overheard by Carly and others, or are they only red-herrings and the real killer is someone you wouldn’t expect? Also, what will Jack’s autopsy report reveal? Stay tuned, and share your theories via the comment section.

Chris McKenna Speaks Out on His Exit from ‘General Hospital’ and Thanks Fans for ‘The Support You’ve Shown Me and Jack’

On the Tuesday, September 1 episode of General Hospital, the body shown floating in the Metro Court pool was identified as Jack Brennan, ending the run of daytime veteran, Chris McKenna, in the role of the WSB Port Charles bureau chief.
McKenna began his time on the ABC soap opera back in February 2025, after replacing Charles Mesure who decided to leave the show. As it turned out, McKenna actually wrapped almost three months ago in June and has been keeping mum, even though reports surfaced that he was exiting the show come fall and Brennan would be killed-off.
Now as a murder mystery begins, McKenna took to his X account on Tuesday, and shared these heartfelt words and clarification, starting with, “Hey, everyone. Just want to say how moved I’ve been by the support you’ve shown me and Jack. As you now know, I left the show months ago, wrapped in June. I’ll say more once my exit interview runs. Until then, from the bottom of my heart- Thank You.”

THERE MUST BE SOMETHING IN THE WATER
Then, in said “exit interview” with TV Insider, Chris confirmed, I did my last episode in June, so I’ve had a few months to adjust.” He also added how bittersweet it was when he found out it was the end of the line for Jack.
“It’s disappointing how it’s ending right now, but this was a gift,” expressed McKenna. “Between my son being born and having this place to go to work for the past couple of years, this has been just a fantastic time, and it’s been so much fun. I got to be introduced to an entire new legion of soap fans who weren’t familiar with me, got back into the daytime world and did some powerful work I’m really proud of, so it’s been a great experience. I have no complaints.”
Previously, Chris played a young Joey Buchanan on One Life to Live where he got his first big break from 1990-1993. Decades later, he took on the role of Mark Harding on The Young and the Restless from 2014-2015.

CHRIS MCKENNA AND PAIGE HERSCHELL LEARNED THE SAME DAY THEY WERE BEING WRITTEN OFF
While Chris did not get a major exit scene with lots of emotion or dialog, he still appreciated a departure by water! “I would have loved to have had a big, heroic martyrdom or a big grand speech. Unfortunately, I just played my dead body floating in a pool for two days,” joked Chris.
As it turned out, Chris wasn’t alone in finding out he was being pink-slipped from the soap. He learned the news the same day as Paige Herschell found out they were writing Jacinda out as well.
McKenna had one hope for the story in the months to come adding, “Though it’s not the end I woulda chosen for Jack, I hope this generates months of riveting television around ‘Who killed Brennan?’ And I hope that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) killed him. It’s time she graduates to full-on murder.”
So, what do you think of the events that transpired of when and how Chris McKenna learned he was exiting General Hospital as Brennan? Who do you think murdered Jack? Are you sad to know that today marked his final episode (unless there may be flashbacks?) of Chris’s GH run? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
