GENERAL HOSPITAL: Z Reveals Cassius is Dead, Josslyn Strikes a Deal for the Release of Jason and Valentin
Even John Oliver (Z) is impressed with WSB Agent Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy)! In the pick-up of the epic shootout aftermath, the Friday, July 3 episode of General Hospital, opened with Josslyn in her hospital room recovering from surgery from her gun shot wounds with WSB head, Z, by her bedside.
Proving she is a force to be reckoned with, Z wanted the full rundown of what transpired on the docks and proceeding it. Josslyn was able to give a full debriefing on the horrendous crimes perpetrated by Cullum, Sidwell, and Cassius. However, she also explains how Cassius saved her life. Z explained to Josslyn that: Cassius is dead (is he really though?), Sidwell was arrested, and as she knows since she shot the guy, Cullum is no longer on this earth.
Josslyn knew if the public learned that Cullum was a double agent and had deceived the agency, that it would be a very bad look for the WSB. Z wants her to keep her mouth shut, so she comes up with a plan. She will pin the blame on Cassius and claim Cullum died a hero. In return, Josslyn tells Z, “I want a full release and all charges dropped for Valentin Cassadine and Jason Morgan.” The two shook on the deal.

Later, Z is at WSB Port Charles headquarters going through Brennan’s desk and looking for files when Carly (Laura Wright) walks in to confront him. She wants her daughter out of the WSB.
LULU LEARNS THE TRUTH ABOUT “NATHAN”
Dante (Alexa Havins), Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Rocco (Finn Carr) are now back in Port Charles after learning Cullum was shot and killed. Rocco learns Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) was arrested and is in the PCPD jail, thank to his dad. Dante explains he did it to keep Britt safe. Rocco is furious with his parents.

Lulu gets an earful when she learns from Dante that “Nathan” was actually an imposter. He was Nathan’s twin brother, Cassius. Lulu is shook to her core, that she was once in a relationship and had developed feelings for her best friend’s husband come back from the dead, only he wasn’t. She realizes Nathan would have never hurt Maxie for her.
Rocco tells Lulu who is acting off, about his plans to visit Britt while she is being held at the PCPD. In the meantime, Britt is having it out with mutter at her jail cell over her choices and decisions that kept Liesl (Kathleen Gati) in the dark and so many others.

ROCCO VS. DANNY
After being interrogated at the PCPD by a returning Agent Vaughn (Bryce Durfee), Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) goes home to ask Lulu for help with Valentin, while Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) sees Rocco sneaking out of the house. Rocco explains to Danny he has to go see Britt, and how he can’t abandon her.
Danny snipes back, “Of course not. Not after everything she’s done for you. Including lying about my dad shooting Cullum when you’re the one who pulled the trigger.” Rocco is stopped dead in his tracks. How will he respond?

Maybe I was distracted by the happy dragons, but I didn’t see Cassius arrive, so I’m not sure he’s down here. I’ll keep an eye out for him, and keep track of the invoices from Cassadine Brothers Air Conditioning Services, because if Cassius were here, he would probably be elgible for A/C.
It’s possible that they put him in witness protection if he promised to turn “states evidence” against Sidwell. That’s what I think might be going on there.
But would he agree to take the blame for everything when he knows what it would do to his mother
Danny’s sweet but his hot headedness is awful. Z telling Joss Cassius is dead so she’ll agree to make a false statement: slimy. So I guess Carly will be the one who slaps Z. I was hoping it would be Liesl, regarding Cassius.
Because I have been watching John Oliver for over a decade, as well as catching his live stand-up twice, it was hard to watch his scenes on GH no matter how well played without cracking up, knowing how his excitable, feverish British brain works.
But he took the assignment seriously and did not mock the soap opera genre as some non-soap opera celebrities might (looking at you, James Franco). I feel that Oliver brought some credibility to soaps and most likely boosted GH’s ratings. My only lament is that I was looking forward to Oliver interacting with characters who are played by actors who inject a comedic flair into their performances, like Alexis, Nina, Valentin, or Jack. Laura and Eden are solid actors, but they’re not funny. Moreover, really sick of Carly’s world–why must all the exciting things gravitate toward her?
Ryan Paevy as Cassius was an unexpected surprise. I used to think he was a wooden actor and was non-plussed to hear he was coming back. But he proved me dead wrong. Ryan’s Cassius was an interesting, deeply conflicted character, visibly fighting his internal demons while his familial attachments grew. He always had the leading man looks, but now he has the talent to match those looks. I’m not sure whether Ryan’s acting has simply become more refined or whether he finally found a more nuanced, multi-dimensional role that allowed him to fully showcase his talent. I suspect it’s a combination of both, as his screen presence feels noticeably more intense, emotionally layered, and compelling. I do hope both Paevy and Oliver can come back to Port Charles. That said, Alexa Havens really proved herself as a force of nature playing a mother who feels like every step she’s made since coming out of her four-year coma has been a misstep, leading her to feel more alienated from her two children and to feel somewhat undermined by both Britt and Valentin.
I love Josslyn!!
First of all, Oliver is doing quite well so far. Dare I say he’s pretty good actually.
I, too, think Cassius isn’t dead. I don’t know if really can stand seeing Liesl lose another child. If Cassius is a goner, she’d be approaching Monica territory in the dead children zone. Gati was outstanding (as always) with Mutter rightfully ripping into Britta for not trusting or leaning on her.
More fallout to come.
Can we please give a shout out to Alexa Havens? She comes out of a four year coma only to be overshadowed by Valentin and Britt courtesy of her two kids, Rocco and Charlotte. Today, Lulu seemed almost paralyzed with grief for mistakes she thinks she made in regard to her children. And her reaction upon learning that Nathan was an imposter for whom she fell for was devastating. Alexa was amazing with her emotionally compelling performance. In short, I really felt sorry for Lulu today.
Lulu has 2 ungrateful brats for children Rocco favors Britt over his own mother while Charlotte favors Valentin. But I have to defend Rocco when it comes to Danny who doesn’t seem to understand that Rocco saved his dad’s life. He’d have no father if not for Rocco’s actions. He should thank him, not blame him. All three of the young crowd get on my last nerve.
I don’t she bugs me! You don’t date your best friends ex that an unwritten code with women!
I don’t disagree but Lulu was in a coma for 4 years. She’s been shaken, she is unsure of herself and her place in the world. Dante told her he was still in love with Sam and made it clear he did not return her feelings. I’m not excusing Lulu’s actions but explaining them. I do think she has a lot of remorse.

Joss hasn’t given any thought to how painting Cullum as a hero will affect her uncle Lucas, since that would mean Marco’s death was somehow justifiable.
I think she has a plan.
Another outstanding episode. I think John Oliver is great as Z. He’s totally believable as the very top agency man forced into field action due to a massive disaster. I loved him wanting the full story from the lone surviving agent, Josslyn, before all the details are made public. Eden McCoy was perfect as Josslyn didn’t bat an eye when she laid out her terms for helping Z save face for the agency. I hope Carly does not get her way and Josslyn remains a WSB agent. She is smart, resourceful and determined. Bravo to everyone in front of and behind the camera.
They really went out of their way to prop Joss as a serious WSB agent. Carly continues to be propped as usual with John Oliver providing an assist.
I hate that part And Joss hates Sonny!!! You kill people too, now what! I’m so done with the double standards when it comes to Sonny and then when they need help who is the first person any of them go running to including the p.c.p.d!!!!
Please let Cassius come back he did amazing

‘General Hospital’ Icon Genie Francis to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at the 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced on Thursday, September 3 than none other than Genie Francis (Laura, General Hospital) will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Honor at the upcoming 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, taking place October 30 in Hollywood, California.
In addition, next year in February, Genie will celebrate her 50th anniversary milestone of her debut on General Hospital where she first appeared on-screen as a teenaged Laura Vining back in 1977. She secured her place in pop culture history when an estimated 30 million viewers tuned in to watch the iconic 1981 wedding of Laura and Luke Spencer (the late Anthony Geary) Fast-forward to 2026, and Laura serves as the mayor of Port Charles.
Throughout her daytime career, Francis has also appeared on ABC’s All My Children as Ceara Connor, Days of Our Lives as Diana Colville, and CBS’s The Young and the Restless as Genevieve Atkinson. She won her only Daytime Emmy back in 2007 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Drama Series for her role as Laura on General Hospital.

GENIE FRANCIS TO MARK 50 YEARS AS GENERAL HOSPITAL’S LAURA
In a statement on her Lifetime Achievement honor, Genie Francis expressed, “I want to offer my deepest gratitude to the leadership of NATAS for honoring me with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award. This February marks 50 years since I first portrayed Laura on General Hospital. Stepping onto that set at just 14, I could never have imagined the extraordinary journey that lay ahead. I am deeply grateful to have been welcomed onto your television screens and into your homes for five decades; for the love, support, and loyalty I’ve been given; and for the privilege of being a small part of your lives.”
She continued, “Thank you to NATAS, my colleagues, the daytime community and, most of all, the viewers. My career in daytime television has truly been the adventure of a lifetime, and I am deeply honored by this recognition.”
Adam Sharp, President and CEO, NATAS said on the selection of the iconic actress, “We are thrilled to celebrate Genie Francis’s remarkable career. From Port Charles and beyond, she has left an indelible mark on the landscape of daytime television, and she continues to tackle bold topics as a courageous storyteller to this day.”

A CAREER THAT SPANNED DAYTIME, PRIMETIME AND THE STAGE
In addition to daytime, Francis began her career at the age of 13 guest starring on ABC’s Family. Thereafter, she has enjoyed a diverse acting career, with notable roles in the miniseries North and South and Bare Essence, as well as The Note. Following were numerous television guest starring roles ranging from: Third Rock From the Sun, Murder She Wrote, the final episode of Perry Mason, Roswell, and more, plus numerous stage productions.
Francis and her husband, Jonathan Frakes, (best known for his role as Commander William Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation) have been married for nearly 40 years, and have two adult children, Jameson and Eliza.
MORE ON THE 53RD ANNUAL DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS
The Daytime Emmy Awards have recognized outstanding achievement in television programming and crafts since 1974, honoring work in a variety of genres, including daytime dramas, talk series, entertainment news, culinary, adventure, instructional and legal/courtroom programming. This year’s Gold & Silver Circle Inductees and ceremony presenters will be announced at a later date. Tickets will go on sale September 9, 2026.
The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be a single ceremony in 2026, produced by NATAS Productions. Adam Sharp and Lara Gates are executive producers, with Leon Knoles returning to direct for a fifth straight year. Rachel Schwartz serves as Head of Daytime, and the firm of Lutz & Carr, LLP, provides accounting services for the competition.
Fans can watch the ceremony when it streams live on October 30 via the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) official website at watch.theemmys.tv or via the official The Emmys app.

‘General Hospital’s’ Tabyana Ali Song ‘Pray’ Now Available on Major Streaming Platforms with Music Video Forthcoming
If you enjoyed the original song “Pray”as performed by Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) on the September 1 episode of General Hospital, it is now available on all music streaming platforms and their is a music video forthcoming featuring Ali.
In story, suspicious music executive, Simon (Grady Eldridge) booked his new signings to perform at the Cat’s Eye Lounge in Rochester, New York. Trina and Gio take to the stage and perform “Pray” featuring Trina on vocals. The duo perform a second song later.
However, someone is still stalking Trina, and we see the previously shown disturbing collage of the young woman, and now a photo of her performing on the Cat’s Eye Lounge stage was added.
This moment left viewers questioning if it could be Simon, or Kai’s (Jens Austin Astrup) friend, Quinn (Jequan Jackson), who were both at the venue, and could have easily taken the photo, or is this all a red-herring and the real culprit who is obsessed with Trina hasn’t even been seen on-screen yet?

WHERE YOU CAN STREAM TABYANA ALI’S “PRAY”
Following the airing of the episode and over the last 24 hours, Tabyana Ali took to her Instagram to share that “Pray” was a poem written by her and turned into the track heard on General Hospital. Now you can download or stream it via You Tube Music, Apple Music, Spotify and more. She also shared a music video for the track is forthcoming.
Ali also wrote on her IG post, “PRAY poem by yours truly. Grateful to the amazing team who helped me.” Jumping into the comment thread were her GH co-stars including: Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) who gave Tabyana 5 applause emojis and GH newcomer Kayden Brenna Tokarski (Scout Cain) who expressed, “You are so amazing and talented!!❤️”
Tabyana Ali has been playing the part of Trina Robinson ,the daughter of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) since 2022, taking over from Sydney Mikayla who stepped away from the role to finish college.

A familiar face to ABC daytime fans is about to make a return to the broadcast television network, when Alimi Ballard makes his debut as new character William Baines on the Thursday, September 3 episode of General Hospital.
Early in his career, Ballard played Frankie Hubbard, the grown-up son of legendary All My Children super couple, Angie (Debbi Morgan) and Jessie Hubbard (Darnell Williams). Alimi played the part starting on Loving in 1993 which later was rebranded The City in 1995.
The GH casting news came from TV Insider, and while no other casting details were made immediately available about the character of William Baines, he enters the canvas hot on the heels of a murder mystery after Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) was found dead in the Metro Court pool. Could William Baines be a detective, a WSB agent, or something else? Stay tuned!
If Ballard also looks very familiar to you, he has an impressive list of TV and film credits including: Quizmaster in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and FBI agent David Sinclair on Numb3rs, and starred with Vivica A. Fox (Stephanie, Y&R) on the sitcom, Arsenio, plus roles in numerous episodic dramas including: Criminal Minds, Queen Sugar, Queen of the South, Law & Order and The Rookie. He also appeared in the 1998 film Deep Impact.

DEBBI MORGAN HELPED ALIMI BALLARD PREPARE AS AN ACTOR
Alimi took part in a sit-down interview with the Theater Corner in 2020 where he opened up about his beginnings on a soap opera and working with Debbi Morgan. You can see that below. During the conversation Ballard shared, “I got a chance to work along alongside one of the greatest actors I’ve ever seen lace up her boots — Debbi Morgan.”
He added,”She taught me everything I needed to know to get started as an artist — how to prepare you for the level of intensity, the level of dedication required to make these fictional circumstances connect with the audience.”
