GENERAL HOSPITAL: Tracy to Lois After Confrontation Over Brook Lynn’s Child: “I Can’t Wait Till The Day I Can Rid This House of You”

Hell hath no fury like Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), and it’s not a good sign for Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer), now that her nemesis knows the truth (well, some of it) that Lois never told the Q’s that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) had a baby as a teenager and she gave it up for adoption. Previously, Tracy learned the info from Brook Lynn herself who opened up to her grandmother in very well-played scenes by Amanda Setton and Jane Elliot.

Now armed with the news on the Monday, May 5 episode of General Hospital, Tracy confronts Lois. She wants to know if Brook Lynn giving her baby away was completely her granddaughter’s decision or did Lois force her to do it. Lois says it was Brook Lynn’s and all she tried to do was support her daughter in her decision.

Lois tells Tracy this has all been weighing on her for years. However, Tracy also drops the bombshell on Lois, that she knows that Gloria (Ellen Travolta) was also in on the secret, saying the Quartermaines were never allowed to have their input into the matter.  Tracy reminds Lois that the Q’s have a fortune and could have helped. Lois gets upset that Tracy thinks money can solve everything. Tracy says she would have given that the baby the best life has to offer.

It’s at that point that Lois, who already knew this would be an awful and uncomfortable showdown with Tracy, says that, “Her grandson deserved better than being raised by the Quartermaines.” Tracy tells Lois she can move out if she hates the family so much. Lois says she’s staying put for the love of her daughter, Brook Lynn.

Tracy tells Brook Lynn that she will get to the bottom of where Brook Lynn’s child is, and adds, “I can’t wait til the day I can rid this house of you.” Lois is clearly in trouble now with Tracy on the case. Will Tracy be the person to trip up Lois and reveal to all that Gio (Giovanni Mazza), who is living right there at the Quartermaines, is Brook Lynn’s son?

Now let us know, what did you think of the Tracy and Lois scenes as played by Jane Elliot and Rena Sofer? How will the truth about Gio eventually come to light – that Brook Lynn and Dante are his parents? We already saw Carly telling Lulu to not open her mouth and tell Dante the truth, because it’s not her news to tell him, But who will? Weigh-in on your thoughts on how this will all be revealed via the comment section.

So, will Tracy go to Lulu, thinking she is helping Brook Lynn and wind up finding out Dante is the father?

I’m guessing the truth comes out at the upcoming Nurses Ball.

Obviously it’s going to be either Tracy or Lulu – or maybe both of them at the same time – who add up all the information they have and realize that the fiddling pool boy is Brooklynn & Dante’s kid.

Meanwhile, this idea of having Dante blame Gio for Rocco’s binge drinking experiment, is just cliche soap writing 101. Sort of like how Sam & Alexis really hated each other, right before they found out they were related. And just like that situation, it took a medical crisis to bring the truth out. So you can bet your soul there’s going to be some situation where Gio is injured and is going to need a blood transfusion. Whatever Joss & Emma are involved in, with the newbie professor and the whole WSB plot is probably going to lead to some sort of lab explosion or whatever, and maybe poor Gio will be tuning his violin outside the lab when it happens?

I’m wondering if Rocco’s hospitalization and Dante’s confrontation with Gio leads to a revelation, whether for medical need or because Lois doesn’t like the way Dante treats Gio, his son. Lois will definitely got lots of hate from Sonny, Dante, Olivia, Ned, etc. Poor Lois getting screwed over due to Frank retconning the past 🙂 Though I’m curious to see how it plays between Lois and Olivia since Olivia hid Dante’s father from him. I was on a GH break during that story, but I’ll be curious how viewers compare the 2.

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”

Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
