‘General Hospital’s’ Rory Gibson Opens Up on Y&R’s Lucas Adams Being His Successor and Hopes for Audra and Noah to Have a Second Chance
On the conclusion of the December 10 episode of The Young and the Restless, Noah Newman (now played by Lucas Adams) ran into his former flame Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) since he is back in Genoa City, marking the first time that Adams has shared a moment in his new role with Silver. The role was previously played by General Hospital’s Rory Gibson, now Michael Corinthos on the ABC soap opera.
Opening about his thoughts on Y&R recasting his previous soap role, and the unresolved relationship between Audra and Noah, Rory Gibson expressed in the latest Buzzworthy radio podcast, “I’m very happy they brought Noah back. I’ve heard nothing but incredible things about Lucas. I haven’t met him yet, but I hear he’s a great actor and a nice guy. I wish them nothing but the best, and I hope he gets a compelling story.”
Y&R fans recall that Noah dumped Audra back in England, at the time, she never got to tell him she was pregnant with his child. Eventually, Audra miscarried, which eventually Noah found out. However, currently in story, Noah is involved with Matt Clark/Mitch Bacall’s (Roger Howarth) wife, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) after his seeming relationship with Allie went bust, also in London.

Gibson mentioned he wants to see what Y&R does know with Noah and Audra both back in Genoa City. “I’m curious to see what happens with Noah and Audra, revealed Gibson.” Zuleyka and I got to start that, and then it just stopped. I don’t think it got fully fleshed out while I was there.”
Rory, who has won rave reviews at the recast Michael Corinthos on GH since he debut in May of this year,, and who was also a recast as Noah on Y&R, knows all to well, the rigors and ups and downs of trying to go over with the audience when they are used to seeing another actor in the part. In the case of Gibson, he replaced Chad Duell, and the writers also made a character shift with Michael making him more willing to bend the rules, a bit more conniving and a bit less upstanding.

“It was tricky. It was a weird route to navigate,” explained Gibson. Being a recast before on Y&R, I knew there could be some resistance. You can’t replicate what someone else has done—you’re going to fail. I can’t do Michael the way Chad (Duell) did, and he did it in a great way. I had to take a risk and make the character my own.”
So, do you hope Audra and Noah’s story comes back around in a major way on The Young and the Restless. Are you enjoying Rory as GH’s latest Michael Corinthos and Lucas as Y&R’s Noah Newman? Does it seem like Noah is becoming more like his dad, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) where he certainly jumped around to a lot of the ladies in Genoa City through the years? Comment below.
Please get rid of Audra completely!
GET RID OF HER..
I agree. She ruins the show. She needs to go please.
Yeah, right. SHE’S ruining the show but not the insipid and dull writing. If every dynamic woman of color is yanked off the show, it’ll remain a one-dimensional bore.
Audra and Noah, will not happen again. All indications script wise seem to be pointing to the character Audra being written off the show. A couple of characters have threaten her so she will might be killed off or she might go to prison for whatever she did in LA— don’t know which, yet watched soaps long enough to see all the signs of a character whose days are numbered and Audra’s number is up.
Rory does a very good job at portraying Michael Corinthos. Y&R didn’t utilize his abilities, like so many of the actors on Y&R. It’s all in the writing, and on Y&R, there’s very little thought put into that aspect of the show.
I do hope they explore Audra and Noah more.
I don’t want them together and I don’t want Audra of the show . I’m sure you can figure something out
I like Audra..
She’s a force and interesting to watch.
I do want her to get a husband on the show…
Whether it’s Noah or Cane?
I did like Tucker alot when he was on the show.
But I also like Phyllis and Cane.
And Im rooting for the Abbots.
Also I prefer Summer back with Kyle….
Rory was a great Noah – unfortunately the Y and R writing for him went nowhere…
Glad that the legacy character of Noah has returned to GC
Will be interesting to see if they can triangulate the Sienna and Audra potential with Noah, but it looks that one of the two females will end up dying eventually with the inevitable GC arrival of Matt and with Holden and probably Claire being in the mix
Where is Victoria btw???
I’m tired of all of this anticipated suspense that results in minimal impact.
And Phyllis is simply annoying beyond.
I wish they never killed off Heather, and we need the younger generation/offspring to finally take charge rather than showing episodes of 20 year ago weddings that don’t make sense with Fenn being in his 30s, and especially so shortly after a second marriage of Cricket and Danny double episode.
All is a snooze fest!!!
I agree what was the point, they’re not even serious characters on the Show right now. The only thing that made them interesting back in the day was Phyllis meddling and now they’re in their 60’s and still fighting the same battles. That’s senseless to the viewers.
They’re not in their 60s damn
It would not be the same if the young kids took over..
I like how they’re all in there…
Young and old..
Like real families.
And poor Mariah – why was that non-storyline even created?
Y&R needs some new writers. It doesn’t need new faces. The storylines aren’t even making sense.
Agree with doesn’t need new faces.
Rory Gibson is a phenomenal actor!!! I absolutely loved ❤️ him on The Young and the Restless!!!
I’m thinking Audra gets shot or an (attempted) murder/ who dunnit?
Holden, Kyle, Nathan, Claire, her bar drunk victim, even Lili.
There are soooo many possible culprits. My hope is someone is successful at killing that gold digging bitch that makes intelligent, successful, driven business women look bad.
Whoa!!.
I personally like her character..
And obviously plays it well or you wouldn’t be so stressed out over it.
But like Phyllis, she also needs a chance at being redeemed…
Lily is also not a saint on the show.
She betrayed Billie and was backstabbing him instead of helping him..
She wanted Chancellor.
Im not a fan of Claire’s character…
Upset with Kyle over trust issues,
Yet she slept with Holden.
Audra is a narcissist, oh poor me, I don’t have a rich family to turn to, and on and on hearing her pathetic story over and over…. something is going to come full circle when Sienna shows up in Audra s face, she has no clue Sienna is in Genoa. Clair, Sienna, Audra…at Society maybe, not planned… something is going to go down?
Does anyone find it hard to watch Tamara and Lucas play a couple when the use to play mother and son on Days of our lives???
Nope; different soap, different characters.
I love Audra! Yeah, she is a b!tch, but she is meant to be! She harkens back to the brazen, ballsy broads who helped make the show, like Jill, Phyllis, etc. And the actress clearly relishes playing the role. I wish they would give her some anchors and ties to the core of the show. Same with Sally. I always thought Sally should be Tucker McCall’s daughter, and still could be. Sally and Audra are both blank slates, ripe with story and family possibilities!
Truthfully, I never liked Rory Gibson in the role of Noah, and seeing him as Michael, I now know why: Josh Griffith did not write for the character. Gibson’s arrival as Noah was merely a way of filling in the void left by Michael Mealor’s exit as Kyle Abbott, and once Mealor agreed to return, it was adios to Gibson in the role.
I will say: Lucas Adams’ casting as Noah has been wonderful. He fits naturally into the role, and I hope that Griffith does not screw the pooch with this one; Days of Our Lives never used him in the way they should have, but it seems like he is a natural fit as Noah and has chemistry with everyone within the Newman family. Cannot wait to see what else is to come.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nina is Frantic, Sonny is Mistrustful, Chase and Willow are Being Framed
The highly-anticipated Monday, May 11 episode of General Hospital picked right back up with the drama; which also sets the tone for today’s next installment of the ABC daytime drama series.
In another excellent performance by Daytime Emmy winner, Cynthia Watros, Nina is watching things unravel right before her eyes, and she is always playing defense to try to cover for the events that just transpired.
Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) ends up on the floor of Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) house unable to move after Nina injected him with the paralytic drug dose meant for Drew. Her intended target was Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), but during the Jack/Valentin Brawl, she struck the wrong guy! Valentin helps Nina turn Brennan on to his back and then makes his exit before anyone sees him as she calls the paramedics who rush Jack to GH.

MAN DOWN
In the meantime, Drew, who has overheard all the screaming in the other room, starts to have mobility in his hands and is trying to reach for the phone since his weekly dose went to Brennan instead of him. Now at the hospital, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) has questions for Nina on how Jack ended up like this; which Nina claims one minute they were talking and all of sudden he dropped to the floor.
A panicked Nina calls Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), who went out for a run and ran into Chase (Josh Swickard). She tells her daughter using cryptic words that Jack got the dose of meds meant for Drew. Alarmed, Willow runs back to Drew’s, but not before having conversations with Chase about how she will help ensure he and Brook Lynn have the best chance at keeping baby Phoebe, after all, they had been through so much when she lost their baby.
SNAPS TELL ALL?
The moments of closeness between Willow and Chase are snapped by a photographer or someone hiding in the bushes as it seems like Michael’s plan to implicate Willow and Chase by making it look like their having an affair is underway. How far will this go?
Meanwhile, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) went at Lulu (Alexa Havins) for keeping him in the dark about Rocco (Finn Carr) being the person who shot Cullum and their elaborate cover-up. Things get worse when Lulu mentioned “Nathan” also knows and helped Rocco the night on the pier of the shooting. Dante is livid that as Rocco’s father, she felt he could not be trusted, and it was for him to figure out how he would navigate the information to protect their son; even if he is the police commissioner. Lulu also shared she did not want to tell him, because of what happened when Michael went to prison all those years ago.

BROTHER TO BROTHER
At Ava’s (Maura West) art gallery, Sonny (Maurice Benard) with gun in hand, rails at Ric (Rick Hearst) for lying and deceiving him. Ric confesses he was being dishonest, but not about anything to do with Sonny or the business. He shows Sonny the secret art transaction he was working with Ava. The reason is, he wanted to surprise Elizabeth with it as they have a special weekend planned. Ric explained that the sale had to be be done covertly because of a legal conflict involving the seller’s divorce. Eventually, Sonny lowers his gun. Cooler heads prevail and the two brothers hope there will come a time where Ric’s loyalty to Sonny will never be in question.
Carly (Laura Wright) learns what happened to Jack from Valentin, and feels badly for Jack. Valentin also tells her Jack does not know where Josslyn is and now that he is incapacitated that means that Cullum will take over the day to day of the WSB bureau in Port Charles and things are about to get worse.

In the final moments of the episode, Willow runs into Drew’s house and stops Drew from dialing the phone near his wheelchair. She scolds her husband and says, “Looks like no one can be trusted to keep an eye on you except me.” we fade to black.
So, what did you think of the performance of Cynthia Watros? How much longer can Nina and Willow get away with what they have done to Drew and now Brennan? Elizabeth already mentioned to Lucas, what are the odds that two men have the same medical issue at the same house. Are you glad Willow and Chase are being framed, or annoyed by it? Weigh-in via the comment section. In case you missed it, check out the scenes below with Sonny and Ric, and Ethan and Ava.

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Previews His New Role as PCPD Officer Joe Fitzpatrick
Those expecting Jonathan Bennett’s new General Hospital character of Joe Fitzpatrick to be the latest doctor to arrive in Port Charles. Think again! When Joe arrives on the scene he will be an officer with the Port Charles Police Department (PCPD).
That might be good news for the police force, who has had a lot of trouble (pretty much always!) solving cases, and with Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) pretending to be cop, Nathan West, and Chase (Josh Swickard) working his back up the ranks, police commissioner, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) who could use a some helping hands, unless they are corrupt?
In the latest issue of TV Guide Magazine on newsstands now, Bennett shares a little more insight into what we can expect from Joe, when he first gets into the mix. You can circle next Monday, May 18 for the actor’s GH debut.
THE MYSTERY OF JOE
“Returning to daytime television was not on my bingo card for 2026.(However) I feel like I hit the jackpot when this opportunity came because the character is something that I really wanted to play.”
As soap fans know, Jonathan started his career on All My Children as JR Chandler from 2001-2002. Since that time Bennett went to fame with the motion picture Mean Girls, playing Aaron Samuels then continued on a path acting and producing and hosting where he had become a mainstay on the Hallmark Channel and Food Network. Bennett’s Hallmark reality-competition series, Finding Mr. Christmas was just nominated for three Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Speaking on GH’s Joe and the PCPD, Bennett teased, “I’m feeling excited, and I’m also laughing because I can’t wait for the world to see what Joe Fitzpatrick is really all about.”
Could Joe Fitzpatrick be a closeted cop? An out cop? Neither? Will he be a good guy who might help crack the case of who shot Drew and help Willow get her comeuppance? Will he be investigating the shenanigans that might lead him into the path of Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis)? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.

But is the culprit really Isaiah, or is it Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), or is Jordan solely at fault for taking her eyes off the road to kiss Curtis?
Meanwhile, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) armed with the information that Rocco (Finn Carr) shot Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), confronts his ex-wife Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) at her home. An angry Dante says, “You know it was Rocco who shot Cullum. Why wouldn’t you tell me?” Lulu admits it was Rocco, but how is she going to explain why she kept Rocco’s father out of the loop?
