GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sam Admits She's Pregnant & Jason Proposes, Josslyn Finds Out About Nelle!

Monday’s episode of ABC’s General Hospital featured some emotional moments as a few key stories took a step forward.

First, kudos to the performance of Kelly Monaco (Sam) as a conflicted Sam, who finally reveals to Jason (Billy Miller) that she is pregnant with their child, but comes clean about why she withheld the info from him.   Yes, Sam iks scared for the health of the baby because of her potential exposure to Malaria while they were on Cassadine Island.  Sam goes on to list the possible complications that might happen to the unborn child if that were to be the case.

In a tender moment Jason tells Sam, that they are in this together.  Sam recalls the mistake she made when she became pregnant with Danny and did not admit the truth to Jason.   The duo vow to not make the same mistakes, and be honest with each other.  Jason tells the woman he loves that whenever she is need to grab his hand and he will never let go.  Later,  Jason surprises Sam with a marriage proposal!  He tells Sam he wants to keep all the promises he made to her before, but couldn’t keep, alluding to him “dying” and leaving her a “widow”.  He gets down on one knee and asks Sam to marry him.

And in another touching moment, while Carly (Laura Wright), Jax (Ingo Rademacher) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) do their usual bickering as Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is being tested by Monica (Leslie Charleson) to see if she could be the kidney donor match for Josslyn.  After she is done with her tests, Nelle chats with Carly about her life.  Just then,  Monica returns with results.  The tests reveals it’s possible Nelle could be the donor but the only way to 100% be sure is for Nelle to have a risky kidney biopsy.  Carly, Jax, and Sonny will not allow Nelle to subject herself to a test like that.  Nelle says she needs to think about it.  When she steps away,  Sonny lets Carly and Jax know that he put Spinelli on the case and looked into Nelle’s story and background, and the timing and the wherabouts of the clinic where Nelle’s kidney was taken makeit higly likely Nelle is indeed Josslyn’s donor.  When Nelle returns ready to have the biopsy, Carly, Sonny and Jax tell her that it won’t be necessary, and that they have enough corraborating evidence that she is Joss’ donor.  Carly calls Michael (Chad Duell) to bring Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to the hospital.  Once there, they tell her that Nelle is her kidney donor and the woman who saved her life.  Joss wells up in tears.

Elsewhere, Nina (Michelle Stafford) seems hell-bent once again on finding a baby that she can call hers!  After getting kind thoughts thrown her way from Carly for helping find Nelle, Nina tells Curtis (Donnell Turner)  she has another project for him and money is no object … find her a baby!  Curtis fueled this proclamation when telling Nina since she can’t have a baby of her own, she can always have good friends! It looks like Nina’s desire to have a child are back in full swing.

So, what did you think about the JaSam scenes?  Were you glad that Sam told Jason she’s pregnant?  What did you think about Jason proposing to Sam?  Do you think their baby will be OK, or not?  If Nelle is truly Josslyn’s kidney donor, what is Jax’s connection to all of this since he had been less then forthcoming about Joss finding the identity of her true donor?  Where will Nina get a baby from?  Share your thoughts on these hot story beats from the episode in the comment section below!

Sam should have told Jason about the baby as soon as she found out. There was no reason for her to keep the secret, and thus the scenes with her and Elizabeth when she asked her to keep the secret were filler, as were the scenes between Jason and Sam on Friday’s episode. Plus, did it never occur to Sam that lying to Jason is wrong and would only cause problems? Elizabeth lied to him for months and look how that turned out.

I’m calling it now that Jax knew Nina years ago, and had an affair with her while she was married to Silas. Nelle is Jax and Nina’s daughter, whom Nina thought she had lost when she went into a coma. Jax, unable to raise the baby himself and not wanting Madeline or anyone else from Nina’s family to raise her, gave her up for adoption. Then, when Josslyn got sick, Jax (with some help from Jerry) tracked Nelle down and bought her kidney from her adoptive parents. That’s why he didn’t want the truth coming out.

I already said that one part Nelle is Nina’s and Jax got the kidney on the black market(maybe ebay?)lol…the rest you said is a good possibility=Jax is poppa which Shay mentioned but i thought Madlyn caused her to loose the baby or did Jax arrange that to make Maddie think she did…but you explained it best-good minds think alike-thats it-me, you Shay Celia and Timmm and a few others are taking over the show-lol

Sigh–another attempt at making this square peg named Nina fit into the holes of Port Charles. The forcing of this character down viewers’ throats smacks of desperation. In my opinion, Nina is not working and it’s a failure on both the writers and the actor’s part. I am sure your prediction is right–I wish it weren’t.

Yes, Jimh ( Jimmy)…. The fact that MadMaddie kept the baby’s existence from Nina (and everyone else), was established when Nina first apoeared on the scene.
That’s when I started annoying everyone about Kiki being Nina’s. But, you could be right. Maybe, MadMadfie didn’t know the baby survived either….but Jax did! Is that the mystery? Is that what Jax is afraid will come to light?
Who will discover the truth? Curtis!!
Jimmy….you have opened a brand new door and I’m lovin’ it!!

Yes you did Jimh. You called it first. And the other Jimmy, LOL, may also be right about Jax being the father.
Very plausible.
I hope it turns out this way, for Nina’s sake. Can’t wait!!

Seems as though most of the show has become fuller…

I said the same thing on another site, Jimmy. I did not see the point of not telling Jason she was pregnat. Dumb, dumb, dumb writing. I could understand if there were a chance Jason would reject the baby….but, he’s madly in love with Sam.
Furthermore; kudos to Kelly’s Sam in the latest scenes with Jason. Her acting is real and heartfelt. Coming from me, that’s BIG.
Just one thing. Jason’s noisy, smacking kisses are a turn off. The sound is gross to my ears. Even his hand-kissing sounds like a slobbery dribble and yucky-wet.

Jimmy, your Nelle theory is brilliant!

I think Jerry is her real daddy. I think he abandoned her mother and Helena owed Jerry a favor and got him the info to help Jax. Jerry has always had a soft spot for Jax and Josd.

Hi Vicki. I stand by my conviction Jax is not Nell’s father…it would be beyond a complete destruction of everything Jax has always been which beyond corporate raider is loving father. He even adopted Morgan to keep him out of Sonny’s mob activity.

As for Jerry Jax’s daughter, I suggested that too when I was reaching but I really don’t think Jax would knowingly hurt his own niece. Or leave her a financially struggling orphan. The only way I could rationalize that is if he was deceived in some way…

I don’t think he was deceived in HOW he bought the kidney though…he knew it was black market but was desperate to save his daughter. Is Jerry involved in some way? Hope so!

i wasn’t feeling jasam at all, i found the scenes with them boring, and as it played out i was thinking oh god, please don’t give us this for the next few months, this story is boring an not original. i don’t like to fast forward the show but they might get me started.

Jocelyn donor story i don’t know where the show is trying to go, but at least its not boring, i’m liking nelle, but not the name, lol, and well Jax needs to come back full time, not so that he could be back w/ carly, but it got me thinking if he got paired with Liz, it would be hot, Jax doesn’t have this tainted history like franco (serial killer, rapist? psycho) although i do lie franco and liz i don’t love them together although their chemistry is off the chart but i preferred them as friend, but with jax, well this pairing could create more drama for jasam and carly and sonny.,

They are indeed a somnolent pair, Aria. To me, Jason and Sam are as dull as their monochromatic black clothing and their mumbling, hushed voices. I like both of the actors but the chemistry just isn’t there. I thought there was chemistry between the two back when Steven Burton played Jason. But if you are on Twitter, do not express JASAM boredom or you will encounter a shit storm of massive proportions. Putting it mildly, JaSam fans are a rather enthusiastic and rowdy bunch.

The lesson here Harry, STAY OFF TWITTER! I like Sam but when she is with Billy Miller I drift off into a paint factory!

Everyone wants to pair Liz up with someone! Liz is a skinny little twig with three kids who cannot tell the truth to save her life! Dont do that to Jax!

True, Tim. All I did was yawn in reaction to a picture of Sam and Jason. It was an involuntary reflex. One would have thought I had kicked a puppy given the huge and collective backlash I received. The Jasam fans are somewhat defensive?

I am so glad I chose not to be on Twitter or Facebook. I find no pull, Timmmy. People just become beasts. My little sister ( as most teens) is consumed by Twitter. I read some of the stuff. I have never seen such intolerance by grown adults.
Some of the crude remarks take my breath away, making me blush…..

JaSam were everythinggggg!!!! LOVED their scenes…Kelly and Billy are perfect and i know a lot of fans have been waiting for a moment like this:) Every moment was so touching especially when Jason said next time she panics to grab his hand and he will be there and not let her go..Twitter went crazy, that’s for sure lol.

Twitter did go crazy–I agree with that part of your comment.
I am sorry–all they triggered in me was a great big yawn.

Yeah. I yawn too, when my husband says those things to me, Harry. So boring. LOL.

Twitter is the new insane asylum…the crazies there always go crazy-lol

So let me get this straight guys…too much sex, not good. Cute, little romantic moments, not good. Nice characters, too boring. Crime characters, too violent. Sane characters, meh. Crazy characters, too over the top. Mentally ill characters, annoying. Very sweet characters, also annoying. Stable couples, boring. Other woman (man) trying to break up “stable, boring” couple…sacre bleu!

Got it!

I liked the Jason scenes because they allow Billy M to show that sweet, tender side of his acting that I fell in love with. For the past few months, all the writers seemed to want was Jason grimacing at Franco and pounding Nikolas (actually I didn’t mind that). Here’s to seeing more of the three dimensional Billy that earned him 3 Emmys.

As for the other tales, I hate the way Ava has turned on Morgan, and I find Jax’s secretive behavior just annoying.

I just wish Sam was Victoria Newman. My darling Billy could do no wrong. Those two had it all, in my book. I guess it’s a personal feeling.

Yes, Celia, how true. And what a personal feeling it is about our Billy…the eyes, the hair, the smile…whew, it’s getting hot in here.

I love Billy Miller but must admit he’s been a bit of a disappointment on GH, much like Steven Burton has been on Y&R.
If those two would just trade places and assume their former positions, all would be fixed. Of course that leaves Jason Thompson out in the cold.

@Harry.
True words, Harry. I have, among others, been saying this since day one. Billy and Amelia ‘bounced’ well off each other. I do believe ‘Sam’s’ languid personality has dragged ‘Jason’ down immeasurably.
What a difference someone’s performance makes when paired with the right person.
Jason Thompson, as Billy, was a bust from the onset. TPTB tried infusing him with the mystery serum which made Billy Miller tick in the role of Billy A.
Where Billy Miller’s insolence, as Billy A, endeared us to him…..it makes Jason Thompson’s look whiny and immature. Not a pretty sight. And, ‘doing’ his sister-in-law did not help the recalcitrant behavior.
Thompson had found his niche as Dr. Drake as Billy M had in Billy A.
LOL. I hope I make some sense.

I think Jason Thompson’s had his fun…time to come home!

Hello Soaphound! I am replying to you here because there is no “Reply” button in your response to me in the GH Sonny thread. First, thanks for your kind words and thanks for your inquiry about my favorite eras/storylines. Second, let me tell you that I applaud your fandom of the great actors you mentioned, particularly Jane Elliot, Brandon Barash, and Sarah Brown. I also understand your allegiance to the great acting of Laura Wright.

It’s nice to correspond with someone who was also watching in the 1970s! For me, the 1970s were magical, and that goes with the time in my own life personally, my enjoyment of music, etc. I certainly enjoyed the Luke and Laura heyday, but my favorite time was the early and mid-70s when the main storylines involved Steve and Audrey, Leslie Webber, and my all-time favorite actress, Valerie Starrett as Diana Taylor, in her captivating storyline with Craig Huebing as Peter Taylor. Like Steve and Audrey, Diana and Peter were star-crossed lovers who had many obstacles thrown at them, but they kept on trying to be together. Such long-time “yearning” storylines were a hallmark of soaps then. Starrett was on GH from 1969 to 1977, when she was actually fired by the producer at the time, and the role was recast. Starrett was a beautiful, talented, popular actress, so that decision made no sense. Did you watch when she was on? Do you remember those times?

Somehow I managed to keep watching the show. Much since then has been enjoyable, despite my complaints about the Sonny storyline. I always appreciated it when the veterans of the show were featured more prominently. I think they wasted Rachel Ames for the last 20 years of her tenure. That lady could act! And she began on the show a year after its debut. I also loved Celia Quartermaine and Grant Putnam from the 1980s, pretty much all the Quartermaines. They kept me entertained for a very long time.

Sorry to be longwinded. If you’re still with me, Soaphound (and anyone else who might want to chime in), please let me know some of your favorite actors/storylines. Take care, Friend!

Oh, James, I suspect we’re kindred spirits. I remember when I first saw the lovely Valerie and was so impressed I waited thru the credits to find her name. Remember in those days the actors were only fully listed about once a week. I would wait with pencil and paper in hand to quickly jot down the names of all the actors. I guess it was some sort of compulsive thing, but even now I love knowing the names of lesser known character actors and such. Diana was my favorite character during that period but I also agree that Rachel Ames is the “real deal”. I sort of drifted away when Demi Moore came on (she grates on me) but the show brings back the 70s for me as well. To me, we’ll never have an Era like that again for American movies, soaps, and especially singer/songwriter music, most of which has only gotten better with time. Some people think that “complaining” about a show is being disloyal, but I think it’s because fans CARE. We’re the ones inviting these people into our homes daily, so it’s only natural that we want the best for these remarkable actors and technicians. Hope you’ll keep posting, James. We need your insights!

PS: Billy Miller is great, also!

Hello again, Kindred Spirit! You have no idea how thrilled I am that you and I both are passionate members of the “Valerie Starrett Club!” Let’s be co-presidents! She was terrific, and I am thrilled that someone else remembers her so fondly… She is clearly one of the most unsung heroes (heroines?) of that show! I like how you purposely looked for her name in the credits. I remember being impressed when she made the cut for the handful of actor names they would show in the credits when it wasn’t the entire cast.

But since she left, whenever there was any retrospective for an anniversary show, her contributions were never featured. It makes no sense… I did have a few nice conversations on here months ago with some other terrific regular posters about Valerie, a couple of whom remember her and one or two of whom didn’t but expressed interest in reading my recollections of her and her storylines. Thus, I could go on and on about her, but I think you know that…

As for the rest of your commentary, 70s music: awesome! I play it all the time, and I am admittedly stuck in a time warp… and I see I’m not the only one… 🙂

And, Soaphound, you are so right about the need for criticism of the shows about what is and what isn’t working. I think the powers that be need to rely more on viewer feedback.

Thanks again for your kind words. I will look for you here. Take care, Friend!

The Sam and Jason scenes are as drab as their matching outfits. The character of Nelle is a breath of fresh air and the kidney transplant story is working. I’m eager to see what is going to happen next. It’s nice to have Jax back on the scene. I’m wondering why the show hasn’t capitalized on the amazing chemistry between Nina and Curtis. Likewise with Elizabeth and Griffin. In addition they’ve sidelined the sparkling coupling of Kiki and Dillon, and the story as it is playing out is not engaging. Finally, is it just me or does it seem as if Maurice Benard hasn’t memorized his lines in a while? He’s faltering and defaulting to his “ya know” setting more and more. Maybe he’s bored with the saintly father-knows-best character that these writers have straitjacketed him into. Long live GH!

I forgot all about Griffin. They dropped the ball with him.

Well, Timmmy. ‘They’ picked it right up again. ‘Tis an age-old tangled web, my dear friend….one entangles men within its stringy fingers.
Yeah, it’s fiction….but, women such as Claudette, do exist. She is in her glory!!!! Her happy survival is derived by having men fight over her/about her….whatever the reason…..As long as the fight involves her.
I apologize to all men for saying this: but, men can be blind when ‘sidetracked’. They lose all sense of reason and become vulnerable.

Patience Mister Media…;)

I think Kiki and Dillon will gravitate back to each other ( unless they put a wrench in it and she gets pregnant by Morgan!)

They do seem to be putting Curtis and Nina together in a lot of scenes…first it was with Jordan then Hayden, less now with Valerie…but Curtis and Nina which a few of us have mentioned have great chemistry…let’s see what happens!

Although I agree about Liz and Griffin looking great together I think his story with Claudette/Bathan has to play out first. I’m actually looking forward to it…

I think some of these things need to unfold slowly…as soaps usually do.

It always bothered me when they dressed Sam and Jason in the same clothes. Next he’ll be wearing spiked heels!

Sigh. Not Bathan…Nathan.

I think Ava has a point; in that, what Kiki feels for Morgan is unfounded guilt. I do believe Kiki has strong feelings for Dillon, skimming just beneath the surface.
To be perfectly honest? Morgan is not healed, mentally, or otherwise. He is headstrong, needy and possessive. I doubt he ever will be. Having Carly and Sonny has ‘ruined’ this man-child’s psyche irreparably.
Kiki will forever be prisoner of/in Morgan’s world if she continues to be his nanny.

I don’t know, Rebecca. So far, I am the only one who ‘feels’ something brewing between Curtis and Nina. I had no idea you felt the same way. I can count on one hand the couple of times I am proved right! HaHa!!
The solution to Nina’s obsession would be to ‘get down’ with Curtis and make a baby. Problem solved. LOL.

Hi CeeCee…yes, I thought there was an attraction from the first time they met. They were flirting and she gave him her card if I remember correctly…to model for the magazine. I posted way back about that and have agreed with u seveal times on it. They definitely have chemistry but they’ve sort of made him man around town. When it looked like Franco and Nina were solid the writers had Curtis and Hayden together a lot and I thought maybe they were going in that direction…then they pairedhim with Valerie. Lol, now I have a conflict because they so underused Valerie that she was a non-entity. But today I thought they looked stunning together. Don’t know…another triangle for Valerie? Anyway, yes, definate Curtis-Nina chemistry and I agree…great looking guy!

LOL.
Sorry, Rebecca. I read all comments….but sometimes, certain ‘points’ escape me….it’s summer vacation. This house becomes Grand Central for kids–coming snd going. Then, there’s running after my daughter, who’s just over 2.
Poor Valerie. I am still sort of miffed about her and Dante. Slowly getting over it. LOL.
She is finally coming unto her own; thus, I hope, making Valerie the town’s ‘free for all’ is not the direction TPTB are taking her. She deserves a break; just not one with Curtis.
Imagine if Valerie gets pregnant with Curtis’ baby? And, Nina finds out? Another baby switch? Lord!!!!

The couple is NOT Jason and Sam.
Steve and Kelly were Jason and Sam..
Billy and Kelly are not working, it was a mistake to put them together..
Sam should have moved on and Jason back with Sonny..

All would be fixed if they Kill-off horrible Sam character, just kill her!

Again—- Kelly and Billy are NOT JaSam and never will be..

( I love Billy Miller, a great actor but he is near destroyed being with Sam/Kelly ..
And—
The Kidney story is – stale, dull, and BLAH ..
I like Nelle (Chloe Lanier) !!

I need some excitement!
GH stinks! it is mank and reechy !!

J&S are total naff !!!

Sam and her monotone has made Jason boring. I liked Jake.

I am agreeing wiht su000 more and more these days.
Is the sky still blue?

You are sooo right su. Not a good couple….I liked Jake and Liz.
But, Kelly’s acting is up a few notches. Does she work better opposite Billy? I didn’t have the chance to witness her and Steve, as a couple. But, she and Michael E did not mesh for me either. She is doing much better with Billy. Not the best, but better.

Steve fit the bill better because he WAS a Quartermaine and he and Sonny clicked. Miller never fit in and seems bored. Steve is okay now as Dylan on Y&R but I would love to see him resurface and Miller be exposed as a Helena robot!

Billy Miller is Awesome!! A great talent theirs being stifled hooked to monotone Sam.. They are as interesting as toenail clippings..

JaSam is DEAD D-E-A-D …
Kelly and Steve, for 2 decades, were the sup couple and trying to bring them to life again is a huge mistake..
Let Steve/Jason and Kelly/Sam RIP and move on..
There are times when things need to end ..

@Su & Timmm.
I agree with both of you. Billy and Kelly, as Jason and Sam, do not complement each other. I wouldn’t go so far as to say they are a complete wash; but, I doubt they could get any worse. This is their ‘best worst’….if it makes any sense.
So, if this is all that can be squeezed out of them as a couple? Well, something’ s ‘gotta’ give. I feel that at this point, Sam is doing better than he.
I know what Billy Miller can do….this isn’t it….sadly!!

I don’t care who Sam is paired with she is still her same whining, boring-beyond-belief self. What a waste of airtime, and now Sam is pregnant. Give me a break here.

Could she be pregnant in real life? Maybe?

Liz Fan of course are still so bitter not to mention Negative

STOP PROJECTING! You can support Jason and Sam without bashing supporters of Liz.

Oh, no, Marie. I don’t think that Liz’s fans do not like Sam because of their ‘fealty’ to Liz. We can like both. I have come to like Sam, a little bit.
Furthermore I am a Liz fan; however, that did not stop me from ‘cutting’ her down when she did her crazy act towards Jason, before regaining his memory.
I would not like to think that we have to ‘diss’ one character to bolster another.

JaSam were so emotional fantastic job love every single bit of their story can’t wait to see what happens NEXT

Rather than finding out who the donor is, shouldn’t they find out who bought the kidney?

Jax bought the kidney…

It doesnt really matter since the police are not involved. And if they were, they would screw up any work they would do on the case since Jordan is a complete moron!

Hi, curacaoman,
The point of finding the donor was more important than who ‘bought’ the kidney. The donor’s medical history is key here;….if any medical issues should arise with Joss, I would think it would facilitate the doctors’s work and resources.

Jax must have been looking for a donor kidney the minute he learned his daughter’s kidney was failing. Then we had Helena’s meddling intervention….I would still like some more clarification on that aspect of the story, like WHY? she abducted Jake.

Exactly, Engrady. I hinted upon that very thing, albeit my limited knowledge on all things Jax and Helena relationship. I just have this feeling that the two are soooo connected with whatever the “mystery” is.
Jax’s cryptic phone call, to whomever, was enough to ‘invigorate’ the brain.

I do not like the Jason and Sam story…from the beginning! When Jason was Jake, he was completely in love with Elizabeth. Neither knew who the other one was. Sam destroyed that relationship screaming at Liz that she was a liar who kept the truth of Jake’s identity from him. In a few short months, Sam has the nerve to ask Liz to keep her secret from Jason! Really? I do like the kidney donor story though. It will be very interesting to see how this story is told. As far as Nina’s story, I am not a fan of Michelle Stafford. She is a terrible actress who thinks she’s still 25 years old and has no chemistry with any actor…not even Michael Easton or Roger Howarth! So I don’t care what happens with her.

Jake was kind, sweet and interesting. Sam has made Jason very boring. I see no chemistry with this pairing.

ITA, Jake >>> Jason any day

Sam hasn’t made Jason boring. Blame the writers. Personally? I don’t find much difference between the Jake and Jason characters the way “they” have been written. New actor, new writers, new direction. Jake is Jason…he hadn’t changed.

Steve Burton just IS Jason to many of us. He is to me. I just don’t see Billy Miller as Jason. Could be because the writers had us liking him and getting to know him as Jake so we had two adjustments to make: accepting a new actor as Jason and accepting Jake as Jason. Even though we obviously knew that it’s a new actor and that Jake was really Jason, his identity was aestablished as Jake for too long and we grew to accept him and like him as Jake.

I don’t blame either Kelly Monaco or Billy Miller…I think they’re fine as a couple. Some might even like their chemistry together if he was brought on as a new character entirely. Sam, meet Harley. Harley ( thought I’d go with the bike theme!) meet Sam voila. New couple. Cute.

Agreed. Jake was SUCH an interesting character that had so much potential. It’s sad to see Billy Miller (and the great character he played at first) being wasted on the dull as dirt Jasam.

Sam and Jason need another kid like they need another pair of matching black t-shirts. I’d be surprised if this pair even knew where Danny was, not to mention WHO he was.

And please don’t tell me Jean and Shelly are moving in the direction of having Sam’s malaria baby winding up with Nina resulting in months of Sam wandering around in her stilettos “processing” things.

As for Josslyn’s donor story, wake me up when this snooze fest is over. I’m just purprised Sonny wasn’t revealed to be a universal match who performed the transplant himself.

i thought maybe Finn did the transplant-he seems to be the doctor who specializes in every medical condition and is every patients doctor…he probably even changes bed pans too-lol

LOL, Jimmy.

Jason and Sam leave their child on a whim, to go on an “adventure” (boring).

I know, dmr. Not what you’d expect from parents, right?

Agree with all you’ve said here. Only good thing out of the donor story is the young actress playing Nelle, but that’s about it. I’m sure Carly will make her stay in town and start controlling her life too.

And now…. the show will bore the hell out of us with Nina’s continued quest for a damn baby.
BORING. Wish that character would leave already.

Yeah, Carly will offer Nelle a job, Ces. And, of course, Nelle will be so grateful. Maybe, Carly will throw in a suite as a complimentary gesture of gratitude. Oh, my, poor girl is doomed!!

Lol – sounds about right Celia! With as many rooms as she gives away at the Metro Court, I’m surprised she has any left for guests.
When did THIS Carly get so grating? They should bring back Tamara Braun for the role.

As usual…LOL. You are a treat, Alan.

Stop the baby madness!

NO KIDDING!

DITTO

Double ditto! You have Sam pregnant even though we barely see her taking care of Danny. Then you have Lulu trying to get pregnant and finally, you see Nina dwelling on how to get her grubby hands on a baby of her own.
When will TPTB realize that women can be fulfilled, happy and self-actualized without having a baby?

Amen Harry!

Yeah, Iakovos,….this morbid, ridiculous baby-chasing venture is getting to be a weighty burden. I don’t want to carry the extra weight, anymore. The interest has vaporized.
At this point, TPTB should stop pursuing the idea….it only makes Nina look even nuttier.

It’s unfortunate, but none of this interests me.

I just can’t get over how Jake regained his memories (not the Quartermaine memories), and couldn’t remember Elizabeth. Even as Jason Morgan they were involved. He dropped Liz like a hot potato and became all about Sam. The writers at the very least could’ve given usa little triangle or show Jason really struggling with feelings for both women
But noooooo! It could have been handled better by being written better. They should bring RC back so he can inject some life into these stories.
Sam is pregnant again?!?! Why??? How???? Listen I’m not 9ne of these viewers who needs to see the kids all of the time to know that a character is a parent. In fact, I prefer to not see the kids. Sam and Jason rarely talk about Danny, much less interact with him soooo adding an infant into the mix is just weird.
GH has the most attractive cast of the 4 soaps, imo. They are beautiful to look at, but why can’t the writers give us more compelling stories. Is it really that difficult? At the very least someone from the show should check out Mr. Fairman’s site to see all of the absolutely great suggestions that many people on here have. I find myself ff more and more each week and for me the next step is to remove it from my pvr, and the next step after that is to stop watching it all together. I dont want that to happen because GH has always held a special place with me. Guiding Light and GH were always my favorite soaps. The former was down to earth and the latter was exciting. Today the former has been cancelled and the latter is far from exciting.

ITA, especially considering how VERY much in love Jake was with Liz and how much she cared for him even before she knew who he really was she took him into her home and dumped Rick for him. How soon we (are expected to) forget.

Yes but let’s not forget that Liz dumped Rick because he lied and manipulated her…just as she did to Jake/Jason. I love Liz but she too has no right to be so judgmental…almost everyone on GH plots and schemes, then they turn around and accuse each other and act indignant.

Liz also has a habit of leaving people. She cheated on Lucky, she left Rick from the same “crime” that I just mentioned, she didn’t stand by AJ when he was accused of killong Connie, she didn’t stand by Franco until she remembered the timeline. Her abandoning AJ was the worst…

yeah I know Rebecca, I was just hoping for a more romantic outcome for Liz this time around. GH had built up a very romantic love story for her, and then just trashed it by having her lie. I get that they ultimately wanted Jason&Sam .. well then why did they have to involve Liz?! Why not have Jake and SAM inexplicably falling for each other?! That would have gotten most of the audience on their side. Instead, they resurrected an ancient fanbase war, and, while I’m sure Carlivati was amused by the passion on both sides, it was a dirty trick to play on Liasons. I quit watching, not because of that, but because there weren’t any OTHER romantic love stories to root for.

Good points maddiehayes. But it’s tricky. Soaps are tricky. They keep frustrating us and angering us yet we keep coming back. I think your suggestion is good, point well taken, but then where would the “conflict” or “partners in crime” (Nic and Liz), the fallout, the lies, betrayal…all the ingredients that soaps shoot for…be? It’s hit or miss with the audience…was all that worth it if many were upset by the outcome?

As for Liz, she has frustrated and annoyed me many times in her relationships. I don’t like that she cheated on Lucky, I thought her hypocritical for judging Rick when she did the same thing and worse ( and STIlL doesn’t acknowledge it), I was beyond pissed and hurt for AJ when she abandoned him without even trying to understand or believe him…yet she overlooks Jason’s “job” (pre-second accident) and Nic’s attempted murder of Hayden. She chooses which people and their criminal acts to judge and those to give a passive stamp of approval. SHE left Lucky, SHE left Rick, SHE left AJ…

I like Liz. Lol, after all I wrote I don’t know why…maybe because she’s a great mom, a great friend; somehow she appears grounded and sane ( even with her own bouts of losing it), maybe because somehow she always winds up looking beautiful, sweet and sincere, maybe because she’s been on so long I’ve grown attached. 🙂

She REALLY needs to work on her loyalty issues. She bails on every guy she’s involved with as if she never heard of benefit of the doubt…especially for someone you care for. Just once I’d like to see her stand by her man…

Hi Rebecca – I guess I’m one of those soap fans who doesn’t watch for the endless drama and catfights. I watch for the romance. I want to see my favorite couples fall in love and have it actually lead somewhere. Like a wedding, children. Soaps were very popular when they had great, romantic super couples and big, splashy weddings. I think it’s a crime that GH has led Liasons down the garden path for so many years and never let them have a wedding and a real relationship. And I’m not even that crazy about Liason, I just feel sorry for their fans. I have never seen a soap treat a large fanbase as poorly as this group has been treated. I was here when they murdered the Liason baby, Jake, just for some juicy acting scenes. I really don’t care about whether the actors get Emmys. I’m more interested in the characters. And I like Liz as well and want better, more romantic writing for her. She deserves to find true love, and her kids deserve a stable home life. Watching her float from man to man to man is just plain boring to me. So we agree. 😀

It is well known to viewers that Shawn Butler does not belong in prison. When will this story be rectified?

right? lame. He was 10x better than Andre & Curtis both.

I will grant you Andre, my Ces. LOL. But, Curtis?…..oh, Lordy Lord…that face looks chiseled.
Andre just doesn’t ‘climb the mountain’ for me….too rigid; too stale; too no personality.

Lol!! I can appreciate Donnell’s chiseled features but they make him act like 70s John Shaft! I want him far away from annoying Nina. If they can change those two things then there is hope. Also, what on earth IS his position @ Crimson.

HaHaHa. Good question. What IS Curtis’ position at Crimson? Hmmmm….would you believe ‘searcher’ of possible stories for magazine issues? LOL.

@celua, i want a job like that! He looks lost and wandering around most the time.

Looks like so many people’s prediction of Jax getting thrown under the Sonny/Carly bus is coming true. Gee, how oringinal……not.

OK, my lovelies!
Do you now believe me when I say–
Jean and Shelly are the Queens of Snoze …. ?

Jean & Shelly = The Queens of Snoze !!

Take one of your O’s from your name and insert it into the word “Snoze!”

Kelly did a wonderful job with Sam’s revelation. Sleepy Miller was boring. The actress who plays Nelle is amazing. She took Joss aside and talked to her like they were not even acting. They both did a great job! Nina and her “Undercover Brotha” will fail at finding her a child but as it was pointed out earlier on this posting, Nelle could be Nina and Jax’s daughter. That would be great but I am only skeptical because Ingo is leaving soon. But if this is true, it frees Michael up to date Nelle and gets him away from that god awful post- Ugly Betty wanna be!

I guess, my Timmmy. But, if Nina had Jax’s baby; that would mean she cheated on Silas. Considering her depression and hurt over his betrayal, would it have been feasible for her to step-out??
Revenge sex?
I don’t know Jax. Is he the type to leave a child of his behind? Was MadMaddie, in fact, his ally?
I did suggest that Jax kept track of Nelle, for whatever reason.
How else would he have found such easy access to a perfectly matched donor? The plot thickens. You guys are so good at creating scenarios……ifs and buts. Enjoying this mystery very much.
Good stuff.

We dont know and THEY dont know who Nina is! Jax was a playboy with a riverboat gambling business mentality. He was never a bad guy but in business just like with women, you have to walk a fine line or you will get SNAPPED! I wouldnt think he would commit a criminal act BUT it was for his daughter so maybe so.

A comment about Twitter or as I refer it to, Shitter, it is a different form, more deadly of exposing young teens “Abnormalities” and a fast track to react to peer pressure in the 21 century. Every generation has more and more technology at their fingertips that can help them but hurt them just as quickly! Back in the day all you had to worry about in school is someone passing a note written on PAPER about you. Now, how you feel about someone can reach the whole school in a second! Sad. And Facebook, what it started out as was brilliant, what it has evolved into is a photo album for the world to see and that might not be a good thing. Encourage your sister to pick up the phone and call her friends or better yet, meet them and look them in the eye! Later C.

@Timmm.
Oh, My Timmmy, thank you so much for the sound advise. Believe me, my father is like a watchdog….especially with his four daughters.
My sister tweets her friends and vice versa; but, it’s harmless. She knows better!!!!!
However, outside her circle of colse friends, a few uncensored comments slither in there….as do those ‘unguarded’, apparently unsupervised young teens. Later, love…..

No CeeCee..Jax wouldn’t abandon his own child. The only way she could be his is if he doesn’t know she’s his.

@Rebecca1.
I didn’t think so. I know I don’t know much about Jax, but enough to sense he would not abandon his child.
Nonetheless, something is going on with him……Not necessarily something sinister; but something which is crucial to the kidney storyline.
It is raining so hard, Rebecca….So dark, outside….it looks like the end of the world in my neck of the woods. WOW!!!! I still shriek when I hear thunder. LOL

No more babies. No more babies. No more babies.

YES! I totally agree with this. Enough already.

THIS WEEK on GENERAL HOSPITAL: Dex and Josslyn’s Relationship at a Crossroad, Jason Contacts Diane For Help

Previews for the week of March 18-22nd on General Hospital, plus the latest promo for the daytime drama series, share that Jason’s (Steve Burton) return has already affected so many lives, especially given the fact that several key people aka Michael (Chad Duell), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Danny (Asher Antonyzn) know his location at this moment.

Eventually, Jason (Steve Burton) will get in touch with Diane (Carolyn Hennesy), from what one can only assume is legal help. However, John (Adam J. Harrington) seems hot on Jason’s trail, but the question remains, if Jason was working for John as seemingly revealed in a flashback to keep out of prison, are the two working together … or are they mortal enemies?

Meanwhile, it looks like its curtain for now in the relationship between Dex (Evan Hofer) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy). After Nina (Cynthia Watros) dropped a bombshell about Cyrus (Jeff Kober), Joss gets an earful of information from Dex, when he admits that he was in Cyrus’s hospital room to kill him on orders from Sonny (Maurice Benard).

According to Soap Opera Digest, Eden McCoy shared, ” I think what’s different about this situation, and what pushes her over the edge, is that it wasn’t, like, a self-defense situation. It wasn’t at a shoot-out. He wasn’t protecting Sonny. Cyrus wasn’t doing anything! And I think that really scares her, to see him in the light of voluntarily killing someone in their sleep. That is very different from, like, shooting someone that’s shooting at Sonny. She is just in shock, like she can’t actually believe it.” As told by McCoy, “At that point, Josslyn says.’I can’t do this anymore,’ and makes her exit.”

REPORT: General Hospital Alum, Robyn Bernard, Homeless & Battling Addiction, Before Her Passing at 64

Robyn Bernard passed away earlier this week on March 12th, when her body was found in an empty field, which is allegedly behind a 7/11, and some trailer homes, in San Jacinto, California. The actress and singer, and former General Hospital alum, played Terry Brock from 1984-1990 and was 64-years-old at the time of her death.

New reporting on the life that she led over the past year, and longtime mental health issues and struggles with addiction, paint a picture that may have led to her death. Although it should be noted, the toxicology report is currently not completed or released. However, the sheriff department stated that no foul play is suspected.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, friends of Bernard spoke on how she had become part of their homeless community, and that she she struggled with alcohol addiction, and had been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia through the latter part of her life.

In their accounts, things went south for Robyn when in 2014 she moved to the community in San Jacinto, which is 84 miles from Los Angeles. At that time, she moved into a trailer park for senior citizens and was beloved for her singing by her neighbors.

The report also notes that in 2015, tragically, Bernard’s trailer park home was burned to the ground taking 7 of her 8 beloved cats and all of her possessions. After that, Robin stayed with many people of the community, but the previous management chased her off of the premises. She then broke up with her boyfriend and eventually stopped communicating with her parents.

Bernard’s final home was in a community called Parkview Estates, facilitated by Riverside County’s Adult Protective Services Department.  According to police records obtained by Daily Mail, through 2017-2019, Bernard faced numerous DUI drugs and alcohol arrests during that period.

Joni Woods, who lives opposite the space where Bernard’s trailer once was said: ‘I used to see her (Robyn) around town all the time pushing her shopping carts. She always had four or five of them, and I always felt so bad for her.” Robyn’s former boyfriend, Dan Berlin, expressed that the last time he had seen the GH alum was two years ago, “She was out there, talking to herself in a nonsense way. She was a schizophrenic.’

The friends of Bernard shared: “She used to say that Hollywood screwed her over,” adding, “They did her dirty and that’s why she ended up living in San Jacinto of all places.”

Share your thoughts on this tragic story of the last part of Robyn’s life, which again, stresses the importance of trying to find the appropriate help for those dealing with mental illness, being homeless, and addiction.

While ‘General Hospital’s’ Dante Lays in a Coma; Dominic Zamprogna Has Some Great New Portrait Headshots

On General Hospital, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has thus far survived two bullets to the chest, and is laying in a coma. Sam (Kelly Monaco), his lady love, is by his side and beside herself after learning her ex Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is alive and is of the belief that Jason have been the shooter who tried to take out Dante.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) has been wracked with guilt after he wasn’t so kind to his son, before the PCPD cop got shot. Meanwhile, Jason is hiding out at the Quartermaine boat house trying to recover from the gun shot wound he received.

While Dante’s life is still hanging in the balance, it appears that his portrayer, Dominic Zamprogna, took a diverse range of headshot and portrait photos under the eyes of talented photographer Jackson Davis. The photos were posted on Davis’ Instagram account.

Photo: ABC

A few former GH castmates commented on the photos including Marc Anthony Samuel (ex-Felix) who expressed: “Dante, Dante, Dante…,” and Mark Lawson (ex-Dustin) posted, “Dom!!!! Handle yo’ biz.”

Zamprogna joined General Hospital back in 2009 and has been nominated four times for a Daytime Emmy Award throughout his time thus far on the ABC daytime drama series.

So, what do you think will happen to Dante? Will he wake up and be just fine, or will he have another medical condition? What do you think of Dominic’s new headshots? Comment below.
