General Hospital
GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sam and Danny See Bandaged Jason AKA Billy Miller!

Courtesy/ABC
It was the day that three-time Daytime Emmy winner Billy Miller (Jason) made his debut on ABC’s General Hospital, well sort of! On Wednesday’s episode of the daytime drama, Miller was seen with his face bandaged, but enough was showing for soap fans to know it was indeed the popular actor.
In story, Jason has just had massive reconstructive facial surgery and surgery on many of his internal organs following be run over with a car by none other than, Ava Jerome (Maura West)!
Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is the first to feel the strong pull of the presence of Jason! She does not know why she is so drawn to “John Doe”, but she is. She even gets Dr. Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson), to “unofficially” look at “John Doe’s” medical records and scans, and voila! Patrick realizes the patient has had several prior brain surgeries!
Will Patrick put this all together at some point? And if he does, what would he do with the information? Later in a big moment at the end of the episode, while visiting the hospital for a check-up for Danny, Sam (Kelly Monaco) and her little boy run into Elizabeth outside Jason’s room. Danny wanders in and immediately heads for the patient’s bedside and even holds “John Doe’s” hand, in a touching moment. When Sam happens upon the scene she looks curiously at the situation! Does she also feel that she is in the presence of a familiar “face”?
Watch the final moments of yesterday’s episode of GH after the jump! Then let us know, how would you like to see this play out? Elizabeth being the first to put two-two together? Sam? Patrick? Comment below!
I doubt they’ll figure out its Jason anytime soon…probably around December…lol…Maybe Liz should befriend him and take him home and is stunned how this amnesia patient seems so strangely familiar with the place…also agree with Micheal who said he was boring when talking to Rosallee…so true…lol…GH has been somewhat better in recent weeks!!!
I’m cracking up! When Michael told Rosalie that he was boring, I laughed so hard-it’s so true! I thought that the actress who plays Rosalie did a great job in the scenes with the gunman in Michael’s apartment.
It was an unexpected funny moment…now if they can get Kiki to join next years nurses ball in an acting part and she says she’s a ‘bad actress’ ill definately wet my pants…which i sometimes do anyway…lol
I agree. I am starting to appreciate Rosalie…but, in small doses. Michael is too old for his age. You know what I mean?
Also, I am so confused … When I look at Jason, he really does not have that many bandages on his face/head. At least, not to the point where he’s not unrecognizable. So, what does this mean? I seem to keep asking the same question? How can someone who was in close contact with Jason on a daily basis in the past, not recognize him? Does this mean he has already had facial/constructive surgery? Did he undergo with the transformation in the hands of the Cassadines? Or, was the surgery done soon after the accident?…..I missed much .of yesterday’s episode.
It is obvious now that Jason’s brain is his own . His reaction to Sam’s voice proved that. His SATS on the monitor went haywire, no?
I must sit tight and hang on until it becomes clear? Will it ever?
He wants to meet somebody boring, he should introduce himself to Dullan from Young and the Restless as played by Steve Burton.
Jimh, could not have said it better myself regarding Kiki. I watch the show on my I-Pad while doing cardio-can’t always fast-forward her scenes like I would at home.
The recast of Danny reminds me of the little boy that played Jake. Unfortunately, I am not a huge fan of this storyline. Sam is not my favorite character. I would like to see Jason come back as a Quartermaine, wanting to be a doctor-while having to deal with the issues of his mob-related past. I miss the Quartermaines. Love having Ned back. I think Ned and Olivia are really cute together. I always enjoy Tracy. Miss the core of the show-the core families, the hospital, friendships, relationships. I do love seeing Alexis more. Love Julian. Ava is fun. Loved how Tracy referred to Ava as “breathless Mahoney (?).” Beginning to like Jordan. Growing tired of Sonny. Morgan is beginning to grow on me, too. Like seeing Maxie back to her old self. Well, I think that about sums it up, ha!
I’m getting tired of Sonny too. In fact, I have been for a while now. He always has this pompous attitude whenever he’s with Julian, and he always acts like a big-shot around Carly. It’s getting really annoying. I think Claudia Zacchara needs to come back from the dead and whip Sonny into shape – maybe she can also get Johnny out of jail and resurrect Anthony too; I miss the Zacchara’s!
I also want to see more Q’s! When they brought Roger Howarth back to the show, I hoped it would be as Jimmy Lee Holt. I don’t like him as Franco and seeing RH call Kin Shriner “dad” is kind of weird considering they look like they could be brothers, not father and son.
I didn’t watch much during the Zacchara days-but, I did love Anthony! Loved how he and Tracy bickered-so funny! I agree about Sonny. Back in the day (90’s) loved Sonny and Brenda. Now, every scene is a rehash about how well hw and Carly know one another, how they are always there for each other, have each other’s back, etc., etc. Sonny needs to hire new goons. Shawn is pretty useless. It’s not that I dislike Sonny-just needs some new material. I do love Julian! I agree with you about Roger Howarth. I wish that Roger came back as a Quartermaine. I do love Roger; but, I am not a fan of Franco. Oh, well-what can ya do?! There is really no one to root for, no supercouples to be excited for-just a lot of new characters, lost storylines-
Yeah, Jimmy. Scott must have still been in diapers when Franco was born.
Kin’s about 16 years older than Roger in reality. Same for father/daughter Julian/Sam. HOWEVA…Julian/William Devry is 46 and his “daughter” Sam/Kelly is 38! She can pull it off though; still looks very young.
True, Rebecca, and NLG is ten years older than DeVry.
I love older women with younger men but we’re supposed to believe that Alexis is a couple of years younger than Julian.
I can’t suspend my disbelief on that one any more that Alexs’s Wonder Bra can keep suspending her cleavage.
LOL, Harry…
LOL, Harry. Soaps are all about fantasy…for some it’s cleavage (apparently not you and the one belonging to Alexis) for others it’s vampires, frozen worlds and returning from the dead. I kinda let most of it slide…makes for a fun ride. (Per OLTL, Kassie DePaiva is seven years older than Roger/Todd).
The romantic relationship age discrepancies never bother me…it’s how it is and should be in real life. You love who you love…and men have always been the ones to date/marry younger so I’m all for it the other way around. But when they have parents of “kids” who are just a few years younger…LOL…that’s when I just close my eyes and chant, “it’s just a soap, it’s just a soap…” 😉
Harry…I guess you cracked me up twice! (someone pass the merlot…still need that edit key.)
Rebecca–I cracked you up? No pun intended, right? Alexis is always cracking that horizontal smile below her chin!
I think eventually Patrick will end up with a recasted Robin and Sam will fall back in love with Jason. I dont see Jason coming forward with his identity anytime soon because he will have to remain a mystery due to danger that Helena will threaten him with against his loved ones. I do see him and Danny becoming very close and that will spike Sam’s curiosity and I agree with Jim that around Christmas they will reconnect or at least the three of them spend Christmas together as Secret Jason! Maybe Monica finds out about his identity at the annual Thanksgiving fiasco at the Q’s but keeps it a secret as per Jason’s request?
I like the idea of a Robin recast…only if Kimberly does not come back to the stage.
Either Elizabeth Hendrickson or Eden Riegel would be amazing as Robin.
And, Timmm, your foretelling along with jimh makes a lot of sense.
I am wondering if there will be a story to tell with Patrick and Sam. Would TPTB go down that road? Will Patrick and Sam fall irrevocably in love just as they discover who John Doe really is?
CeeCee, I just love Eden Riegel. Good call. Her and Patrick would look good together. They need to get Lisel out of GH. Bring back the shine at GH. Have Patrick and Robin be co-chief’s of staff. These two are brilliant doctors. Patrick and Sam, its a soap and no one can ever be happy OR they have to make a choice. I like Patrick and Sam together. There is a spark. You know they will cross the line in their friendship and then Jason will reveal. Thats why they need Robin in the picture. She could hook up with Jason and I see Elizabeth or Eden looking mighty good next to Mr. Miller!
For Sam and Patrick, I don’t see ‘love’ becoming involved in their relationship. Lust is more like it because both of them are on the rebound. Sam from Silas and Patrick from Robin. Eventually Patrick will be kicked to the curb for Jason.
A recast Robin could work but I don’t want her with Patrick. He’s turned into one of the dumbest characters on the show.
@rebecca. Actually, Kin is 13 year older, not 16. I suppose a thirteen year old boy is able to conceive a child…but, this is soapland….anything goes. Be that as it may, Kin looks much younger than his 60 years.
CeeCee…I think we’re both a tad off. Kin will be 61 in December; Roger just turned 46…so it’s about 15. And speaking of father and son… ;)…I love them both! Always loved Scott (y) even when he wasn’t well liked…and as I’ve posted recently I’m starting to love Roger as Franco. People have to get James Franco and the Franco that was out of their minds…this Franco still embodies Todd for me. Honestly, with each passing scene he gets more Toddesque. LOL. Can’t wait for his revenge…
You’re right, rebecca. If only Nina wouldn’t keep taking Franco’s phone, we could speed this thing up. Can you imagine all of us wearing a camera around our necks in the form of jewelry? None of us would have any friends left..lol
I love Roger and as you say, he is starting to assume Todd’s unique personality. I hope he does nothing drastic. I want him to stay, but not with Carly. I vehemently protest!
Loved the ending, it was very touching seeing Danny run into the hospital room and grab Jason’s hand! I’m really looking forward to seeing Billy Miller back on daytime. Although I do wish he was returning to Y&R (mainly because I can’t stand Burgess Jenkins as Billy), I’m glad he’s on GH as Jason. It will be really interesting to see who Jason will be when he wakes up and what he remembers.
My theory with this whole facial reconstruction thing is that if Steve Burton ever does decide to come back to GH, they can introduce him as the real Jason, and BM’s version is an impostor hired by Victor or Helena. After all, they both said they had “big plans for Mr. Morgan,” and knowing the Cassadines, that never means anything good.
Well that’s what they did with Todd One and Todd Two on OLTL. Roger Howarth as Todd left the show and was replaced by Trevor St. John. He was conveniently Todd with facial reconstruction until Roger came back. Then the “new” Todd was found out to be his twin brother (albeit with plastic surgery).
I, too, found the ending very touching and it showed the writing took a direction to include some heart. Too much in GH has to do with scenes of people with guns in hand. Those who want that can watch that junk during Prime time. It was also great today when Sam sat with him and held his hand. Said they’d be back…
Good thought, Jimmy, about if Steve Burton ever returns. Will be interesting to see how the Cassidines attempt to use Jason to their advantage. What’s left for them to try and take…
Jimmy, Y&R dropped the ball and we have BM at GH! Love it! He will be great and I love your theory about Steve Burton someday coming back and Billy Miller being aligned with Victor. Good call.
i hope that liz plays a prominent role in this storline and that this isn’t turned into a love fest reunion with jason reuniting with his 3 other big love, sam, carly and sonny. i’ll puke if they turn this into the jason sam carly and sonny show again. so i’m crossing my fingers and hope it plays out better. love for jason to be more drawn to liz and sam equally, i would resopect that more then if its one sided..
He wouldn’t be drawn to Liz and Sam equally if he wakes up remembering who he is. But ya…as a blank slate he may fall for Liz.
I’m not sure if the writers even know where they’re going with this. On the one hand we have:
Sam…who seems to have residual feelings for Silas but is drawn to Patrick. What is the point of Jason coming back if they’re building up the story with Silas and Patrick???
Liz…who probably still has feelings for Rick at the same time feelings for Nicolas. So, when Rick comes back…does she wind up with him? Nicolas? New Jason?
Each woman has other guys they were just in love with or currently interested in…and along comes Jason. Now what???
Hi, rebecca. The writers could go anywhere with this. These women have all been passed around like sweet buns….as the men. They have all slept with each other at some time or other. They don’t even care who’s bed it is. Nathan seems to be the only one who is maintaining a semblance of self-respect. Oh, and Dante.
Sam could be with Patrick…oh, wait, maybe Silas…but then, what about Jason? Oh, yeah, Liz could be with Jason…but what if Rick comes back? Oh, brother…can’t keep track…lol. The best and easiest thing would be to move in together.
As fictitious as these soaps are, skipping through the tulips with a myriad of sexual partners is such a foreign concept to me. I have had one boyfriend in my life and I married him. We have been together since I was sixteen. But, hey…I seem to be the odd one.
I have to clarify my question…why bring back Jason. I LOVE that they’re bringing back the character. What I was referring to was the two love interests that we assume for Jason, Sam and Liz…each have current romantic interests. Sam loved (loves) Silas and is attracted to Patrick; Liz loved Rick (who may come back) and want Nicolas. So why focus all this attention on Silas’ feelings for Sam, Nicolas for Liz…if Jason comes back to shake everything up. I’m interested to see if he again becomes a Quartermaines. I can see this with all the fan reaction at the dwindling Q’s… It’d be interesting to see Michael and Jason (where AJ should have been) against Sonny…
I want Jason to hold Monica in her arms and tell her he loves her and its good to be back with the family he so desperately missed. Monica has had too many people ripped out of her life. NO JASON AND SONNY!
Sorry can’t get excited about this. Steve Burton will always be Jason for me and I thought Billy Miller wanted to spread his wings well he is right back on a soap opera. He should have went back to Y&R when JFP asked him back and before anyone jumps on me about mean old JFP he put MAB thru the same dog & pony show for three years while she was EP.
Billy may have used “Spreading his Wings” as an excuse to get away from Y&R. I realize he is not Steve but he will do well and bring a different side of Jason to the viewers. Steve was great but often times to one dimensional. He may return someday and the two of them and a great story will blow us away!
Well I don’t think it’s exactly a fair trade considering Steve Burton has been a snooze on Y&R as Dylan. Then again the writing for his character has been pretty dull, hopefully it gets better with Ian’s disappearance storyline now.
As for Billy Miller as Jason, I’m totally willing to accept it. Mostly because I don’t think BM will be the real Jason – I think the RC is using whole facial-reconstruction as a plot device to make BM’s Jason an imposter, working for Helena and Victor. I can’t wait, though. This should be really good!
I would love Jason to come back and be Jason Quartermaine and not a mobster. I am fine with him and Sam.
As for Anna, she really can’t figure out that Robin is being held against her will. This plot is ridiculous.
Saw Silas yesterday and every time I see him, I just get sad. So much talent wasted. Missing John McBain and Natalie Buchanan so much that I had to watch vintage episodes of OLTL on Youtube.
Frank and Ron, thank you for eight wonderful years of John and Natalie. All the John and Natalie story lines will always be my favorite. They are so meant to be together and still so many stories to tell.
John McBain only comes alive with his fiery redhead and together, they are unbeatable. Ratings gold.
So missing Todd and Blair too. Franco is just not cutting it. While I am at it, so missing Genie Francis as Laura and Tristan as Robert Scorpio. They could add so much to the canvas. Laura should be the one who figures out what’s wrong with Luke and after all the times of Luke saving Laura wouldn’t it be nice to see Laura save Luke.
OH, I so agree with everything you wrote here.
I do think we just miss OLTL. It should never have been cancelled–never.
And yes, John and Natalie were things of beauty together.
We NEED Scorpio back–don’t we? There are rumors that he just may be back if Y^R does not renew Tristan’s contract. I have heard no rumors pertaining to Genie Francis. I also so miss Laura. I realize Luke has moved on but really, any deep storyline involving Luke must involve Laura in some way as she is part of who he has become.
I need a tissue, Gentry. Seriously…you have awakened so much nostalgia…sigh !!
I totally agree with your statement about Laura saving luke, she does not want to be the adducted any longer, but I would luv to see her coming back and see fluke and say that not luke, were is he, and then she will save him, that would be solid gold to me!
It’s funny; I was never that much of a John/Natalie fan. I LOVED John…but I was on and off with Natalie. I could watch John just as detective; loved his friendship with Bo…liked him with Evangeline and even with Kelly. He was just a cool, complex, sexy guy…
I find similarities with Silas and John…but he’s not a major player at GH. He’s still mellow, complex, to himself, smart, sexy…but somehow isolated. They don’t have him interacting with anyone but Sam…he needs a “Bo” maybe in Mac. He needs to interact with some other women…other hospital staff. The actor and all he can bring is still there…but they’re not giving him much to work with.
I like Franco now. I’ve said in other posts he also is very close to Todd. Same traits, different name. They’ve let go of the moronic, immature inane dialogue they stuck him with and he’s now coming alive. Interesting to see how he plots and carries out his revenge.
Ahh the good days of OLTL..:(
but-
Todd and Blair, John and Natalie, are in the graveyard with OLTL ..RIP
they no longer are.. they are extinct ..
I love Roger H and Michael E, both beloved great actors!!
They are now doing what they do, acting, their career is portraying characters.. And both are awesome on GH.. I’m happy they are will GH ..
Love Franco played by Roger..
Love Silas played by Michael.. .. ..
so much great talent on my screen from both!..
For people to say their new characters they are portraying, are not cutting it, is really an insult to both of them..
I do see Tristan/Robert Scorpio being totally wasted on Y&R, he doesn’t do anything there.. wish he were still with GH, especially now, he is needed!..
and!! perhaps– Jason will now be, Jason Quartermaine!!
We will soon find out what is the plan for Billy Miller’s Jason..
(I doubt he will be hitman, again) and Helena is not going to let Jason go, she has plans for him.. so a good story ahead!!
I’d bet Billy is lovin this 🙂
Roger, Michael, and now Billy!! how awesome!!!
It’ll probably be Heather who saves Luke…and keeps him in hiding to protect him!!!
I hope so. I would love to see Heather again !!
I read they R bringing Heather back for an arc.
Nail on the head Gentry. Robin has two ultra agents/mom & dad. Anna should be smart enough to figure out Robin is not being herself. The problem is Anna cannot act the way her character would act because Robin is off the canvas. I love Kimberly but the role needs recasted. Secondly, not having Robert rush back to PC because of his daughters behavior is ridiculous. Tristan needs to be here for that and he needs to be involved in the Fluke story liner along with Genie.
True enough, Timmm….These storylines ring so false without Robert and Laura, not to mention Frisco. (M.I.A father or not, he would have been present at C-C with Maxie in danger.) At the very least, there should have been some concrete explanations for these characters’ most obvious absences, and I don’t mean simply an inadequate throwaway line about Scorpio being in Wisconsin or Jones incommunicado in the field.
You’ve made me miss OLTL and John and Natalie all over again.
Gentry,
I am wiping the tears from my eyes after reading your comments. YOU ARE ON TARGET WITH YOUR COMMENTS. AGREE WITH YOU 100% In response to Su 0000, you are so wrong. Our beloved characters are not extinct . They are in our hearts. Say what you will but Silas is a shell of McBain and I guarantee you if Easton and Archer ever reunited there would be fireworks not muted whispering conversations…..as evidenced with his GH pairings. The characters on OLTL were root worthy and had depth .
I totally agree about Laura, she needed to be here when Lulu was kidnapped and it would be amazing if she and Tracy could team up to figure out the truth about Luke.
I also agree with Roger Howarth as Franco, I didn’t like it on day one and I still don’t. It would have served the show and RH better if they introduced him as Jimmy Lee Holt instead, it would increase the Q-count and decrease the ridiculousness of Franco’s Serial Killer/Psychotic Maniac-turned-Art Therapy instructor.
Thanks for all the wonderful responses to my post. Let’s keep the chatter up to improve GH and keep our wonderful OLTL characters alive. If we do so, ABC will get the rights back to OLTL and then anything is possible. Someone else mentioned it but I say it again, OLTL characters had heart and soul. You always wanted to root for them because you admired them: Vicki, Bo, John, Natalie, Christian, Jessica, Blair and even Todd and Victor to just name a few.
That’s lacking with some GH characters. However, there’s Dante and Lulu, Maxi, Patrick, Robin and Sam who are still worth rooting for. You need Laura and Robert and more Mac and Felecia.
ABC, Ron and Frank, hear us because we are not going away. Ron and Frank, you truly made OLTL great in it’s last ten years. Thanks and please don’t give up on OLTL. It would be great to see the wonderful characters of OLTL move to Port Charles or to resurrect OLTL by sharing sets and production costs with GH. Fans want their SOAPs not more talk shows or reality TV.
So cute that Danny was holding Jason’s hand in the hospital.
Maybe he thought it was his MUMMY!
okay…here it is…barump bump! LOL.
Aawwww!! Danny was so cute!!
I believe Billy Miller is going to have a riot being with GH ..
At Y&R his life revolved around Victoria.. hardly ever changing..
Now he can let loose and really have fun being Jason however Billy will portray him..
I see Billy really into it and having a good time..
a new day and new time, for Billy Miller!! 🙂 (good for him!!! 🙂
Again, I agree with you, SUoo. Must be due to climate change.
However, I hated Billy with Victoria. I liked Billy with Chloe. Better yet, I liked him single.
Agreed,Danny holding Billy/Jason’s hand was so very sweet.
Can’t wait 4 Billy to bring a different twist to Jason, who needs
to grow and really evolve as a character.
love Danny and Jason I love the way he held Jason hand…
And I Loved Silas and Danny eating lollilops with Sam…
It was 2 great shows…Bravo RC…………
Silas looked human! Those three OLTL actors have to be embarrassed by their story lines. What a waste. Silas doesnt cut it as a doctor. I hated James Franco as Franco and I hate Roger as Franco. I hate the character FRANCO! Kiki, what does she do? How does she buy a cup of coffee. I like the actress and I know she can act but she has one expression and no story line! Rosalie was GREAT in the scenes where Michael killed his hit man. I see them having chemistry.
Ahh, Timmm. Kiki’s story is coming…it’s coming !! It better come!….. In the form of Nina’s daughter, otherwise everyone on this site will guffaw his/her head off at my expense….LOL
I love Roger as Franco!! no one other RH could play Franco, his way..
This Franco is a great character..!! He is deep, layered, mysterious, with a hidden darkside..
When RH accepted the Franco role he wanted it..
Roger was informed of Franco and most likely the direction he would go, and Roger said yes, I want to play the role of Franco.. nuff said..
((and he is doing a grand stellar job of being his Franco luv him!!
And RH/Franco is finally getting a story..
Franco is just getting wound up!! exciting!!
(( will the real Franco step forward lol ..
ME as Silas is good too.. he is a mellow guy and the role fits him well..
The doctors on GH rarely do doctor stuff, anyways..
I agree. I watched most of GH today and thought Danny holding Jason’s hand was quite touching. And that new Danny recast really looks like he could be Billy Miller’s son.
I had to FF’d through Sabrina scenes. Wow, is she a buzz kill or what?
Well, aren’t you just on fire with all your brilliant observations, Harry? ; ) I actually thought of you the other day as Alexis was practically spilling out of her black push-up, and wondered to myself, exactly WHO is finding this sight alluring and attractive????? (Obviously, neither you nor me….) Someone needs to put the kibosh on that constant mammarial display….it is anything but sexy and really growing old….no pun intended!!!! (Ditto for the pathetic—and predictable—routine of Alexis slinking over to Julian’s for yet another transparent reason, then being completely overcome by the sexually-induced vapors that result in one or more quickies. That being said, I also agree with you about Snippy….she is beyond irrelevant and her self-important belief that she and the Roadkill Runt were the ones targeted in that collision is absolutely absurd. I’ve had more than my fill of this deplorable ding-a-ling and her melodramatic misdoings, not to mention her “surly waitress” bad attitude and persecution complex. The notion that she (or anyone) could justify harming an unborn child, no matter the circumstances, is utterly nauseating. Makes me question if next she will go completely bat guano bonkers on Sam when she notices how content, animated and relaxed Patrick is with Ms. Morgan…you know, the total opposite of the teeth-clenched, put-upon misery that Dr. Drake was when he was with her???? As for the Danny and Sam scene with Jason…it was adorable and heartwarming…..looking forward to much more of the latter and a lot less of the former!!!!!
Jason opened his eyes ! ……and what beautiful eyes they are. So, no matter how battered a body is….no matter the bandages, the eyes DO NOT lie, nor do they change. Everyone should recognize his eyes. If his own mother can’t recognize those gorgeous eyes, then, there’s a problem.
Maybe Su is right…Jason’s brain in another’s body.
So true CeCe. What beautiful eyes they are… So again I ask myself how Elizabeth
who has felt a connection and pull towards this “stranger,”cannot look into
his eyes and recognize that this is the man she’s known and loved for years.
No; it’s Jason. He reacted when Sam held his hand…he seemed to react at the mention of AJ. I have no doubt Jason’s in his new body…
No; it’s Jason. He reacted when Sam held his hand…he seemed to react at the mention of AJ. I have no doubt Jason’s in his new body… I also think the brilliant Patrick should recognize Jason’t brain since he operated on it…
That’s what I’m thinking. As battered as he is, wouldn’t they recognize his eyes & mouth? I mean, I could tell someone’s features if I loved them.
side note:
Leslie Charleson needs to stop having her face pulled
They need to dress Elizabeth Webber better than that old lady outfit she was wearing the other day; this girl looks better in scrubs.
Absolutely right, CeeCee, et al!!! The eyes are truly windows to one’s soul….just a single look should most definitely reveal Jason’s identity to Sam or Liz….Monica, too. Merely the thought gives me chills….(Always loved the boys with the beautiful eyes! Although I’m partial to green….warmer and more unique than blue……)
S H A Y. !!!!!!!!!!!! Wow…. So happy to hear from you,,, I have missed you so!
Yup, green eyes are gorgeous. My Granda has green eyes, and even at 76, his eyes still have that indescribable translucent beauty.
I am sooooo ready to watch Billy Miller do his thing!…later, Shay, Shay.
Boy, Shay! I was soooo looking forward on a comment from you concerning Sabrina’s conversation with Patrick, the other day. So much so, that I was worried about you missing such an opportunity. Well, you did not disappoint. Please keep ’em comin’…love it, love , love it.
But, let me ask you this; …..how did you get from ‘Sappy’ to ‘Snippy’?…LOL
Thank you, CeeCee….It’s always nice to be missed!!! (I posted an explanation for my absence at the “Days” thread where you put out the “APB” on me….LOL! Don’t get me wrong….it was very sweet and most appreciated!) Having said that, I initially re-dubbed the “Sapster” as “Snippy” upon her return from her “PR” hiatus, since she was exhibiting severe symptoms of being full of “P&V” not to mention, herself, with her newly arrogant attitude! She subsequently lived up to that moniker—in spades!—-when encountering both Ava and Jordan with her snotty remarks and snarky behavior….so much in fact, that I am eagerly anticipating the massive helping of egg she will be wearing on her smug mug when it’s slapped with the cold reality that she (and her Rubberino Bambino) were merely coincidental collateral damage (NOT the intended targets) of “Project Roadkill”—-and certainly not at the behest of Ms. Jerome! It would actually be a seriously satisfying slice of schadenfreude to witness were it not that the life of an innocent unborn child is being dangerously compromised in such a cold and calculated lust for vengeance. I do have a real problem with that! (As well as the notion that the usually cunning, calculating and intrepid Ava has been so uncharacteristically stuck on stupid that she would even dream of ingesting those questionable pharmaceuticals delivered by that moronic miss….) P.S. As for those green eyes of your “Granda,” they sound utterly enchanting…. ; )
I figure that Elizabeth or even Monica will get an idea that it might be Jason. Elizabeth knows about the previous brain surgery on patient X… Sam is preoccupied. Altho if she hears from Patrick that the unknown patient had had brain surgery, she might starting wondering too… they never found Jason’s body!
You are right, Christy…Liz and Sam did sense something inexplicable around Jason.
And, as you presume, they have an inkling. The few facts they have will help them put the pieces together .
I hope and pray this storyline will not be dragged on and on. Perhaps TPTB will surprise us by curtailing the wait and Jason will be up and running…well, I can dream.lol
I don’t think it will dragon.
GH moves along, rather quickly.. in comparison with the other soaps GH is the mover/zoooom! .. lol
I think its Jason and they commented today on how much surgery he has been through including plastic. The only way this is not Jason is if down the road Steve wants to come back they will remind viewers what Victor said about his plans for Jason which then would include an impostor Billy Miller Jason clone. Phew!
It’s Jason. Steve Burton isn’t coming back. I’m excited to see what Billy Miller does with the role, since I think the old Jason was a bore. I want Elizabeth to get more than a minute or 2 of happiness.
As for Silas, I’m assuming they’re going to give him something more to do than sit around and worry about Sam and Patrick. Give the man some acton please
Ya…I think Michael Easton would rather be sleuthing around as detective or even exhibiting fangs again rather than walking around as zombie doc. Give Michael something he can work with!!!!! You’re throwing this actor under the bus…
Silas is an awful character for Easton agreed. I also cannot stand him with neither Sam nor Nina.UGH! It is a damn shame…
Liz all the way, since we can’t have Steve Burton Billy Miller will do, hesitant when I first heard news but it’s the romance, connection that I always enjoyed with Liason, and Steve and Becky were the best but I can now see Billy Miller in the role, hoping for a romance.
I Cant stand the nu Jason with Lizz……………her character is a dip!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let Jason spend the rest of his life with Sam……..unless RC write Silas in the mix….
Love to see his Son Daniel Eward Morgan , Sam, And Jason……….
this should be interesting….The Sam vs, Liz wars..gonna happen again.
WATCH AND SEE..
I can’t stand Liz character. She is so whiny and acts like she is better and like she’s a angel. When we all know she is not. She slept with her husband Lucky’s brother. She had 3 different babies’ daddies . Anyway I believe Sam is the Love of Jason’s life and Lucky was Liz’s. Give us a family reunion with Sam,Jason and Danny. but a love triangle with Sam , Patrick and Jason would be nice. I can see fireworks there. Patrick would see this as another woman Jason is robbing him of.
With major facial reconstructed surgery there would be way way way more bandages than this. And they would have to be changed daily.
Give us a break.
Sam should be with Jason. I want Patrick with Robin. If not Robin, then put Patrick with Olivia, Sabrina, or Britt. He and Sam are not a good fit at all.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
