GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sam's Tumble Down The Stairs & Parker Arrives!

Courtesy/ABC

Courtesy/ABC

At the very end of last Friday’s cliffhanger for General Hospital, two major plot developments occurred.  First, as Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) is about to go back to school she is greeted at the door by Parker (Ashley Jones), who turns out as many fans suspected is a woman.

This sent GH fans on social media, and on messages board to ask, and some to hope, that GH is about to reveal that Kristina is a lesbian.  This would be an interesting twist, especially to see how Kristina’s parents: Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Alexis  (Nancy Lee Grahn) would ultimately handle the news.  Will GH embark on some type of coming out story utliziing the talents of Lexi Ainsworth?  That remains to be seen.  Clearly, when Kristina had a chance to come clean to her mother that she failed her last semester, and then having some kind of apparent liaison with Professor Parker, Kristina dodged any confrontation or admission, and said she would be back for Alexis’ wedding to Julian (William deVry).  This happened prior to being stopped on her way out by Parker herself.

Courtesy/ABC

Elsewhere, Jason (Billy Miler), Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), and Franco (Roger Howarth) are now all on to the disturbing drawings of Jake (James Nigbor).  For Jason, the one that was most concerning was Jake’s drawing of Sam (Kelly Monaco).   While the three of them are meeting at GH to discuss Jake’s mental state, Sam has headed over to Elizabeth’s to talk to her about her conversation with Franco. But when she gets there, she finds the window shattered, Jake’s finger bleeding, and starts to put two and two together that he is the one that broke the window.  Jake runs away and downstairs, where Sam follows.  Next, Sam tumbles from the top of the staircase to the ground.  We fade to black.

So, will Sam’s fall bring Jason and her closer together?  Will Jake try to somehow kill Sam?  Did Helena (Constance Towers) do something to alter his mind while in captivativity, or is she pulling the strings from “beyond the grave”?

As for Kristina and Parker:  Do you hope it turns out that Kristina is a lesbian? Are you interested to see how the relationship plays out between the two women?  How do you think Sonny and Alexis would react to the news of Kristina being with another woman?  Does GH need to pick up the pace of their scenes and or storytelling, when often times it feels like the show is slowed way down, just before it picks back up?  Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

Helen has mind control on Jake but thats not the real Jake- he is a clone and Helene is using him partly in her curse against Sam…maybe this is what FV plans to reveal…Jake is an evil clone of the deceased Jake and Helene is ALIVE!!!!…lol

su0000

hey Jimh..
Helena would not mess with own, she would never mess with her child grandson.
I can see Helena coming back and dealing with Sam, if J&S have the talent to write for the great CT and give Helena her true Cassidine self back..
I would love for Guza jump in and do GH right 🙂

We are somewhat on the same train of thought, Jimmy. I said on the previous site that the mystery guest is Helena. She never dies.

Fanny
Fanny

@CeeCee, Sweetie… Helena, will rise from the ashes like the Phoenix.
She has to be alive, Helena is the only person who can follow through with
that evil curse she placed on Sam’s head. Which means EVERYONE
closest to Sam will be blanketed by the same darkness… Kristina has
started to experience it, Alexis & Julian are next… Jake, Elizabeth, Jason
are all pawns on Helena’s chessboard of destruction & revenge.
Let’s not forget, Jason was there to prevent Sam from falling on two
other occasions… Third time UR out.

Yes, it takes to long to wrap up a story line. It shouldn’t take months or a year to play some ting out, that’s how you loose viewers, because it becomes boring.

su0000

J&S stories at Y&R went on forever and forever..
Their sleeper, the Music Box story went on a bit over a year and I do not believe it ever had closure..
There was a reason they were fired so everyone could wake up! LOL

Harry
Harry

Yes, but the whole Jason reveal storyline was dragged on well before J & S arrived.
I do admit feeling disappointed that they do not expedite the story and continued with the one step forward, two steps back pattern. Jason has a small memory flash and then nothing. They have put a capital A on anticlimatic and sorry, I do not find Jake acting like a psycho to be that interesting. It just seems to be another way of making Franco redeemable and relevant.
Jason has visited with Monica maybe once since realizing he is her son?
And where are Jake’s brothers? Suddenly it seems like he’s Lizzy’s only child.

Michael (not Fairman)
Michael (not Fairman)

I think in your first two sentences, you’ve encapsulated my disappointment with Passanante/Altman, Harry. They did inherit some problems, but I haven’t seen much real repair going on. (The Elizabeth-Jason story, as a very good example, was ill conceived, but so far they haven’t done anything to make it any better.) And they’ve introduced some problems of their own too. I’m willing to give it another six months or so, but their work so far has not been encouraging.

@Michael (not Fairman )

“right” ON !

“… but I haven’t seen much real repair going on. ”

the show… tho not necessarily flatline…. LOL whew! certainly doesn’t trigger any real keepsake… or MUST share !

I’ve gone so far as to share….

loving my Carlos and Sabrina
and am still tooting onward and upward Nicholas and Hayden

but… I’ll agree with you… just like Jason and Liz/Sam story
Nicholas and Hayden have stalled … big time

the only real thing that’s happened is Nicholas proposing

it looked REAL fun… watching ( LOL ) Traci ham it up and she was laughing out loud giddy with Lord Ashton ( HE is a good solid delight of an actor)
???

the cliff hanger for me right now… what’s happening with Sabrina newborn?

another real mindbender ???? Lulu dressed in red rip my dress off… asks Dante for one hour to repair their marriage
Dante response : that’s a bargain

??? woah… i’d sign that divorce decree with.

the two prospects

altho it reeks of Carly and Sonny all over it in the end

Kristina… “threatening” Parker… my parents won’t be happy
Dante… Mayor Lomax telling Dante to get his mom to stop the lawsuit…

I’ll give Shari Belefonte some prop… only if her handsome husband… former Knots Landing hunk a doodle… Sam Behrens visits Bobbi

i’m tired of rooting for Jason
I’m tired of rooting for either / or Sam and Liz

OK my last breath… I love my Liz

I have to go to WIKI just to look at the cast members to see if their is any thing else going ON !?!?

PS: what would go a long way… give KIKI some story… I’ve suggested something with Ric Lansing…. ( Carly gets Jelous )

rooting for… and miss

Lucas / Brad / Dr. O / Rosalie / Monica / Mac / Felicia / bobbi / Scotty….

the writers have really narrowed the playing field haven’t they

any one who’s not associated with Sonny and Carly and Jason and Sam

I’m starting to agree with @su… chant …. J and S must turn the page

this is no diss on Michael Easton

but all the ladies are tapped right now

Sam w/Jason
Liz w/Jason
Ava w/Paul
Parker w/Kristina

Nina ??? she’s a powerhouse right now… so I don’t see this till ME starts reeling

I find the show utterly boring. One thing Ron did was bring back some of the action and the crazy stuff from the 80s. Actors should be able to play all kinds of stories.

su0000
su0000

Hi Allen..
The soaps need younger writers to pull the soaps out of deep sleep..

Didja you know; RC was 41, the youngest writer of them all, some by decades..
He was the master of twist and turns, surprises, and high drama, GH was the most modern soap under RC and- GH had humor!!
GH was fun to watch..

RC should have had a co-writer, someone brought in to write with him, but not let go.

Michael (not Fairman)
Michael (not Fairman)

Though I like Ron C.’s writing pretty well, su—certainly among any of the recent crop of soap writers, he’s the one whose work I find most engaging—I’m not sure it’s because he’s younger. Nor am I sure that simply hiring younger writers will shake soaps out of their doldrums. What really needs to change is the mindset among TPTB at the network and sponsor level, who seem to micromanage and stifle creativity because they can’t get out of the way of people who actually do have some creative talent.

I like the idea of Carlivati with a cowriter who can balance out some of his shortcomings, but from what I’ve observed, he’d have to acknowledge he has some and allow his cowriter gracefully to provi

Michael (not Fairman)
Michael (not Fairman)

(continued) to provide the elements he’s not good at. The most successful writing partnerships on the soaps through the years played to the various team members’ strengths—but to make something like that work, each members has to acknowledge that he has both strengths and weaknesses, and some of RC’s behavior in public and on Twitter seems to indicate he’s unaware that his writing can ever go awry.

Fanny

@Su000,Looooooove you for saying that. UR 100% right.

Fresh writing blood would be great, but age aside they should hire someone who maps out and plots the adventure storylines. The folks who used to write all that WSB and Cassadine stuff back in the day weren’t very young.

Sam falling down the stairs was not a cliffhanger lol
We all know she isn’t deads, she’s not leaving GH..
Jake is messed up in the, he will be falsely blamed, and eventually Jason will blame Jake which will cause Jason to be highly guilt ridden when he learns it was not Jake, it was Sam and her stilt boots of 7” heels at fault.
((I do hope she will spend the next year in hospital in a silent coma and be off my screen lol)

Kristina is not a lesbian.. not gonna happen ..

I liked Franco, I like him with lil’ Jake..

It was nice to have a break from the tiresome 3- Dante. Lulu and Val.. that love triangle is a sleeper…

hmm well, I am not at all interested in the looooong conversation, Oliva breastfeeding, Morgans overkill bipolar stuff, I need some action, suspense, intrigue, something to wake me up..
GH is the lamest dullest soap of them all, recently ..

Long live GH !!! without Tristan/Scorpio- Johnny Z- 🙁

I think we will find out that Kristina is bisexual. Love all things Sam and Jason. I don’t think nor do I want Jake to be a clone or under mind control. I would rather they deal with a mental health issue that in some ways is passed down from Elizabeth and in other ways stems from his being held captive for many years. All that coupled with a typical desire for your parents to be together.

Shortcanuck
Shortcanuck

Kristina’s story with the female professor could be interesting – depending on whether they use her history. Her abuse by Kiefer and her crushes on both Johnny and Nathan need to be addressed. I found it surprising that Sam didn’t show more concern @ her sister, who was nearly beaten to death, was offering sex to anyone. So far, there’s been no mention of her relationships, the fact that she’s a widow or her abuser

su0000
su0000

Kristina- she offered to sleep with the husband of the professor for better grades and has been found out for doing that, and offering sex for a good grade is bad, very bad..
His Professor wife is confronting Kristina or something as that..
another triangle of sorts coming up..
Kristina is not a lesbian..
imo..

parker is infact the professor – parker also has a wife – they are a gay married couple – don’t know if kristina is a lesbian or bisexual but she did offer to sleep with parker who is a female professor…………………

I am shocked about Professor Parker! Shocked, outraged and insulted I tell ya!
Yes, I have me knickers in an uproar about Kristina and the professor.

I mean, Professor Parker is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too old for Kristina.

I though and said just about the same thing, su. After I thought thought about it a bit, the professor is a man, and the wife ( the Parker woman) found out.

@Harry…..Not if Kristina has “mommy issues!” (Isn’t that comparable to what everyone says when a girl dates an older man, that she has “daddy issues?”)

Patrick
Patrick

thanks for the insight in to Kristina past’

I didn’t know all that… plus the fact that “she” really was In love with Trey…. ( I really liked them together) so it was sad to me when Trey died

so… this is a lot of baggage for Kristina to cull from

I’d go for the lesbian story… if that’s how this plays out… altho… my immediate cause for… lets not

is because of how much I LIKE Ashley Jones… PLEASE keep this gal for the long term…. heck I can see Kristina coming alive and living … again… so be it… if she’s attracted to Parker !

which is still another meh! since it seems even GH has turned away ; from Lucas and Brad…

Alexis and her brood… I can take only in small doses.. except for my adorable Molly and TJ…. OK … we havent’ seen that much of Kristina… so this is all GOOD

it’s Alexis and Sam … these two i’m over

so if watching Molly and Kristina gives us Alexis and Sam…. i’ll muster up a let

Thinking Kristina is not gay but her failing grades gave the professor the opportunity to bribe her into something uncomfortable to pass the semester. Otherwise history has been rewritten again. Don’t like that so much. Bring back Brad and Lucas/Felix/Rosalie. Leave Kristina be for now. I know there aren’t any available men right now but how about the doctor headed in?

su0000

Well personally, I am back to LOVING every single episode of “GH” again, and those atleast two cliffhangers, to get Us to tune in Monday were magnificent!!!
I am loving the new Writing Team, and they are doing a fantastic job, given all the danglers, dropped, and ridiculous storylines that Ron C. wanted to write ONLY…
NOW WE must have Laura in her OWN frontburner storyline… Anyday with Genie is a great day, but now that She is back on long term contract, She is in some way connected to most everyone in town, as well as those living out of the country! Her Kids still do need her around of course, but Use Laura more. They could be the equivalent of the old Vikki/Dorian, only with twists along the way!!! Kudos to Nathan V. Frank V. Cast, Crew, and the new Writers for repairing the damage done by ex-Head Writer!!!

Dan
Dan

Couldn’t agree more, Buddy! It’s nice to see some positivity about GH on this comment forum. I just binge watched this past week’s GH as I usually do every weekend, and I usually judge what kind of week it was by how many times I hit the fast forward button, lol. There were times in the past where I would sometimes literally fast forward through almost an entire episode. I think I did it twice for the whole week this time. That tells me it was a good week.

No major earth shattering happenings, just some good old fashioned believable storytelling and character development, that maintained my interest from show to show, and made me look forward to seeing what happens on Monday. Some people might complain that the writing is too basic and simple, but after what Ron Carlivati did to this show, basic and simple is exactly what they needed to right the ship.

You are so right about Genie Francis. Time to give her a storyline and purpose for being in town, other than showing up to scold her kids, or someone for Elizabeth to dump her kids with when she wants to go gallivanting around town. Really enjoyed the scenes she had with Jane Elliot a few weeks ago, would love to see them come up with a story that has Laura and Tracy interacting a lot more.

Ces
Ces

I couldn’t agree more about Genie. They signed her to a contract without a story of her own? Tired of her wasting her breath talking to Nicholas

Jay Trotter
Jay Trotter

GH is on fire right now.

I haven’t been so excited for GH Monday in a long time. The final two episodes of last week were just great and left us with some solid cliffhangers. I am most excited about Kristen/Parker and Sam/Jake but the interaction with Jason/Liz/Franco was also so very good. The fact that Nina is back in play with Crimson will make me care about Olivia’s situation. I can’t wait for the followup with Robert/Anna searching for Carlos/Sabrina and also taking down Paul. The little cat and mouse game with Hayden/Nikolas and Hayden/Tracy is also good soapy stuff.

Jean/Shelly are doing a good job as headwriters and the proof is in the ratings. Four weeks in a row of over three million viewers for the first time in this decade. No more weeks of seeing 2.4 to 2.6 mil in viewership (Ron’s numbers in his final 3 1/2 months) but we’ve are seeing weeks 2.8 to 3.2 mil in viewership (Jean/Shelly’s numbers in their first 3 1/2 months) so the people complaining about the show must be in the minority.

GH fans have come back since Ron was removed as headwriter and like seeing an actual drama series again instead of a cartoonish outlandish circus which it became in Ron’s last two years. Some of us like some dose of reality in the storylines which were are getting with Jean/Shelly and weren’t getting with Ron. The camp has been toned down for the better, people are finally getting jobs, and the writing has improved so much.

Hey, Timmm,
Jake told Sam the babysitter was upstairs or something. I just assumed Jakey clocked her. I doubt, with all that commotion would she just let him run free. She must have heard Sam, no?

Lucy D.
Lucy D.

I don’t think Jake hurt the sitter. She was in the shower–right before Sam showed up the sitter called down to Jake saying it was taking longer to get the stuff out of her hair. Then Sam showed up–and all hell broke loose–courtesy of Sam.

I could be wrong but I think Jake is innocent in this case. He’s likely the culprit who broke the family photo.

Timmm
Timmm

She went upstairs to wash her hands in a “Bigger” sink! I would think most kitchen sinks are bigger than bathroom sinks but whatever! Maybe the water was running and she didnt hear? I hope Jake isnt a killer! Children kill in movies and its wrong but on or beloved soap GH, horrible!

Some of us, like Mari and I and others, love this down-to-earth street smart chick. Her personality is one of the most grounded on the show. Until her character says or does something for me to feel otherwise…she’s one of my favorites.

CeeCee

You are so right, Michele. This breastfeeding ‘excuse’ is a ploy, contrived to give Alexis something to do other than get in a teen-aged tizzy over her ‘religious’ wedding ceremony. Other than her bedroom trysts, what else does the woman have going for her? TPTB are not giving this supposed high-powered attorney her due, I say. Ha!

is kristina a lesbian? who cares? she’s young and in college nothing is written in stone. she could be experimenting, curious, or bi or bored, regardless, it doesn’t really matter, i can’t picture anyone really making a big deal about it. As for Sam, goodness grief what can i say, she continues to prove she’s not the brightest girl on the block, wearing those high heel boots she was basically a walking accident ready to happen. I mean didn’t she already twist her foot by trying to cross nickels balcony the last time?

CeeCee

That’s what I said, aria. If Kristina is a lesbian or gay, what’s the big deal? There must be a deeper ‘something’ going on …..
And, yes, Sam loves her boots/booties. She actually just tripped again going up the stairs of her apartment/house when she was there with Jason a couple of weeks ago; and, he caught her. You really have a way of describing her to the letter. We short girls always try to look taller, I guess. Lol.

CeeCee
CeeCee

Hey, Shay…thing is, these strips of beach are private, with fences. No stopping them. It’s mainly kids in summer. Only a small percentage is homeless. The worst invasion to the Hamptons, came from the Kardashians. What a spectacle. Many residences are rental; but never have we, the locals, seen anything like the Kardashians behave as….as…..as. Ah, well.
What I’d like to know is: where are the parents. Some of these kids are as young as twelve….out at night, into the wee hours of the morning.

Timmm
Timmm

I would think that since she is short she would wear boots on the show to elevate herself to her co-star[s]?

CeeCee
CeeCee

Thanks, my Timmmbo.
I don’t know about that, Timmm. I don’t think it has much to do with the bright of her co-stars. I do think it is vanity…something of which I am guilty. My husband is a foot taller than I. I wear stilettos for myself….as most women do! We dress for ourselves or for each other. It’s a woman thing. High heels make me feel grrrreat!! Powerful and sexy!!! However, I would not go down rickety, basement stairs with them, or anywhere else that’s inappropriate. What gets me is that Sam wears them in the house; probably to the beach, too. Ha ha ha!! Soon, big guy!

CeeCee
CeeCee

Height, not bright. Wow.

CeeCee
CeeCee

You would be surprised what people wear on the beach….even high heeled shoes…but I guess you know that. Anyone who has beachfront property, knows this. All kinds of weirdos show up. That’s why this beach is constantly policed in summer.
Now, I love Roger, too, Timmm. But, Todd is gone. I wish he were not, but it is what it is. I always thought that Franco was re-introduced in name only. It was always my belief that this Franco was going to be a completely different Franco, ergo, the invention of the tumor.
I do believe that Roger’s Franco, as we have come to know him, is a-changing for the better. We see a hint of maturity in his reasoning; his behavior; and, his interaction with others. However, with every change, come a psychological change; a change of the heart, if you will. I get this feeling, creeping up my spine , that Franco is sort of distancing himself from Nina, somehow.
How about this; Nina and Julian? Nah. Nina and Kevin? Nah. I will be heartbroken if F and N split.
Later, luv-ya.

Alan
Alan

I think Sam has only herself to blame for trying to go down a dark set of stairs in 8 inch stilletos.

Christina will not be a lesbian — Jean and Shelly don’t give any screen time to the gay couple already on the show. The only way I see Christine dipping her toe in the lady pond is if it is with a lesbian mobster (and unfortunately for Christina, another woman is just about the only she is going to see any romantic action since she is related to every single straight guy in town except for TJ, Dillon, Nathan, Paul, and Franco.)

The writing on the show has been abysmally one note since Ron Carlivati left. With the exception of Tracy’s once a week bid to regain control of ELQ from Nicholas and the directionless Jason/Sam/Liz mess, the only “plots” we have are Sonny the mobster related: Sonny the mobster’s paralysis; Paul’s attempts to take over Sonny the mobster’s business; Ava keeping Sonny the mobster’s baby away from him; Sonny the mobster’s son battling bi-polar disorder; Michael forgiving Sonny the mobster for murdering his real dad in cold blood but rejecting Sabrrrrina for lying about her baby’s paternity; police officer Dante being totes kewl with his father Sonny the mobster murdering a man in cold blood but divorcing his wife for conspiring with her ex to get her cousin out of the way to save her marriage; Sonny the mobster’s daughter flunking out of school; Sonny the mobster’s ex preparing to marry his enemy; Sonny the mobster’s other ex causing a kerfuffle for exposing her breast while feeding her baby son in public; and Anna’s search for the man who murdered her boyfriend (who more importantly was employed by Sonny the mobster).

They might as well change the name of the show to As The Mob Turns and be done with any notion that the hospital even exists…

i am sorry michael fairman but jake didn’t try to kill sam – she fell down the steps chasing after him – he ran because he was scared after she told him that she knew he was the one that broke the window – sam should have gotten the babysitter from upstairs & informed her what had happened instead of taking matters in her own hands like that……………….she overstepped her bounds on that one

I haven’t see Monday’s show yet so I’m not sure Jake didn’t cause the fall…he might have put something on the stairs that we didn’t see. I thought I saw him grab something before he ran.

As for Sam, she’s technically his step mother and the mother of his brother. I think she had every right, in the absence of his parents, to “step” in…

The Kristina story is a snore. I don’t care if she is a lesbian or not. It matters not. They will not do anything with that story. Look at Lucas and Brad. Nothing is happening there. It is just shoved in a corner and not spoken. Frankly I wish Kristina would go back to college and get married and move to Zurich. Now as for Sam and Jake and the fall down the stairs, I am on board. I like that Sam is one of the few who can keep Elizabeth acting all bitchy and scared. Jason is whipped and needs to make a decision. He knows he belongs with Sam. It’s coming back to him. I love all the actors on the show. Even when the stories are snoozers. The Olivia story about breastfeeding in public was hilarious. I keep hoping that Mayor Lomax will get her comeuppance. It’s time for her to get slapped out of office. I think Franco is funny dealing with both Elizabeth and Jason. He uses his character flaws wisely. I love Morgan coming to terms with his issues. I am enjoying watching Ava squirm again especially with Paul. The Hayden/Nikolas story gives me a charge every time. I love her character even when she is a witch with a mission. Bring Spencer back and quickly! He is so worth screen time. I don’t know what the big announcement will be from Frank Valentini but whatever it is I am hoping that it involves a decision about General Hospital being renewed for another year or two. Fingers crossed. I love GH and am really enjoying the shows lately.

OK.. this is neither here nor their

but… when Jason arrives at Liz house

1. he tells Liz he had a memory…. or (LOL) a “vision” of Kelly Monaco rolling here

2. he then tells Liz he’s seeking professional help….. ??? hummmm that he wants to be hypnotized

?????? what !

what was Liz to think ?

that Jason wants to expedite his memory of Sam

LOL

go ahead Jason… seriously ?!?!

Liz is a stand alone gal… “all woman”

Franco ! fire your engines !

had to go their…

Michael, I’m a big fan, but why would your write: Will Jake try to finish off what he started and kill Sam?
He didn’t start anything. He ran into the basement because the supposed grownup in the room was accusing him of lying and essentially harassing him. He didn’t grab her, touch the stairs or anything else. He is 100% blameless, though he will feel guilty cause he’s a kid.

This is all Sam’s fault, but she won’t take responsibility. She never does.

And since we know Jake’s the Shriner’s story for Feb, I think Jason is going to be worried about his kid. I hope so anyway.

Jake is not evil, he’s traumatized. Essentially he’s got PTSD. And maybe Helena is alive. Maybe Lucky went back to the Island to investigate and Greg Vaughn will show up with some answers.

Mari
Mari

All Sam was doing was trying to help Jake , which is more than I can saw about his mother

Lucy D.
Lucy D.

Really–you think it’s ok for someone who the child has shown he dislikes to accuse the kid of wrongdoing and then grab his arm? You’d let that happen to your kid?

Sam wasn’t trying to help Jake–she wanted to get there so Jason wouldn’t get mad at her talking to Franco.

Sams’ supposed to be a grownup and all she did was confront & harass a kid

Rebecca1
Rebecca1

Once again I agree with you Mari. Sam was trying to help Jake. Her first inclination was to speak to Liz and Jason after thinking about what Franco told her. She then checked the window to make sure there wasn’t anyone still lurking about. When she realized Jake’s hand was cut and there was no evidence of outside danger, she reached to comfort him and told him she needed to call his parents. He ran…she went to find him…obviously out of concern…

LOL…the anti Sam group really see things through suspicious minds…

CeeCee
CeeCee

Sam knows she cannot go behind Liz’s back and ask Jake questions. However, when she is found, I trust her enough to tell the truth. I doubt she would blame Jake trying to hurt her, unless she really believes it. I do not think Sam would lie about something so big. So far, I have not seen any deception from Sam. She seems honest to me, albeit a bit full of herself.

CeeCee
CeeCee

I agree with you, Lucy. Sam has no business talking to Jake, questioning Jake, accusing Jake or even looking at Jake. As dispicable as Liz’s past actions were ( and I do not condone that), the ‘saintly’ Sam is doing exactly the same thing as Liz, in a more up-front way…..grab Jason for herself.
She should just have stuck to let things develop as they will. She kept running to Jason for every little thing, trying to turn him against Liz. Jason is now aware of all the transgressions Liz has committed…..
But, she’s Sam; the princess. I hope she remembers the sequence of events and doesn’t allow anyone to come to the wrong conclusions about Jake.

Patrick
Patrick

I agree about Sam… when she coaxed lil Jake about wthat his mom and grandma knew about “Jake” she used a child for information… which is not unfounded.. chalk it up her her super sleuthing ? LOL

I just about had another conniption…. rolling here

Sam is again… blaming Franco for causing the disturbances at Liz house… how it was Liz who told Franco to do these things !!!!!

why is Franco even talking to Sam in the first place ?

I’ve already posted how Sam told Liz she was once again lying to Jason about these staged accidents… blaming Liz

i’m not in the least bit concerned about Sam condition…. ROT in the celler

CeeCee
CeeCee

@Patrick.
Rot in the cellar? That is so funny, Patrick….still laughing.
When you’re right, you’re right. Sam is using every available ploy to get Jason to distance himself from both Liz and Jake. I can understand how a child would feel threatened by another woman/man in his parents’s life. He’s a child, as disturbed as he may be. But, she’s an adult and should have known better than trying to get ingormation from him. Oh, yeah, great sleuth. Even coppers can’t question minors without the presence of a parent or guardian. She has no jurisdiction over Jake, especially after Liz made that clear. She did, didn’t she? I would be spitting fire and blowing steam out of my ears if anyone did that to my child. So, I agree. She just got her comeuppance for snooping.

rebecca1
rebecca1

Patrick…Sam is technically Jake’s step mom AND she was warned by Franco…who was rigjt in his assessment that Jake is troubled. Dhe was also asked by Jadon to imvestigate the breakins. She wasnt harsh or threatening to.Jake, was concsrned he was bleeding and was about to call jSon and Liz when Jake ran. Given the severity of the moment zi think she wad in her petfect right.

I think Liz keeping Sam’s son Danny from knowing his dad, Jason, is alive was a lot more selfish, cruel and manipulative.

Parker is Kristina’s former teacher. Any relationship would in real life get Parker into trouble, as it should. For that reason I hope they do not follow that plot line. I expect parker reported her because otherwise if it came out that anything happened between them Parker would lose her job and if she has one at the college level or K-12, her teaching certificate/ license. I don’t know how old Parker is. Kristina is either a bisexual or she is willing to have sex with anyone to get out of trouble. I would not like her to get in any relatioship with anyone now. She needs to learn to be responsible and admit when she messed up. If K. is a lesbian or bisexual that would not be as big a deal for Sonny and Alexis as it was originally on AMC with Erika. But she is such a dishonest person, unless Parker is there to talk to her parents, they probably won’t find out til about 2 years after Jason gets back his memories- his original memories of Jason Q. I agree with Timmm that the baby sitter stinks. I am worried that no one will know Sam is in the basement until it’s a matter of life and death and that Jake may harm her even more.

CeeCee
CeeCee

I am getting more confused by the minute.
When GB first mentioned that Parker was female, I ran with my imagination. I proposed that Kristina was either a lesbian or bi. Failing school, she resorted to propositioning her professor for a passing grade, after she found out the teacher was gay. Now, this was all in my head; an assumption/supposition. I also commented, on the same post, that Kristina was expelled because of cheating on an exam or for plagiarism. It is very common in both High a School and University.
Since then, after I calmed down ( as Shay suggested I do, lol) I have amended some of my thoughts. I have proposed that the professor is male with whom Kristina had an affair. Both Parkers teach at the same College and both are Kristina’s teachers. Mrs Parker found out, but Kristina knows something about her that is very damaging and Kristina is holding over this woman’s head. Could it be that Mrs. Parker is gay but she and Kristina never had a relationship? Is it possible that Kristina is blackmailing Mrs Parker? That is, to give her a passing grade or else. Or, the same idea could be about Mr. Parker and Kristina is blackmailing him.
As I said, if a lesbian storyline is to be borne out of this, I hope TPTB with treat it with dignity and respect and not make a debacle out of it as they did with that of alum ad and Brad. I wish ‘they’ would continue with that particular storyline….
Regardless of all this what, how, when, where and why…..it is losing its mystery and my interest. As my Granda would say, ” the more you stir the caca pot, the more it stinks”. I apologize for his ‘potty’ mouth…LOL.

Does this mean I will not have to hear Sam’s monotone and repetitive dialogue each and every episode-going forward? Don’t even get me started on her lackluster “P.I” skills. Thank goodness! As much as I like nu-Jason, Sam makes him boring, too. And Lulu, seriously…the day that I would re-enter the loft that my husband cheated on me, not once, but twice, with my cousin, IN MY BED, with candles, music, etc., and beg HIM to take ME back is the day that will never happen. Pathetic. This “woman” seriously needs a life, and of course, we have to roll it back to “that night in August” when she thought she was pregnant (how long did we have to suffer along hearing that incessant drivel about whether or not they should have a baby, etc., etc., etc.).

CeeCee

Hey, dmr. Where have you been?!
Oh, yeah…Lulu/Dante/Valerie…Ha! What a farce! Later.

dmr
dmr

Hey CeeCee,
Nice to hear from you. Hope you are doing well.
I do not DVR the show anymore. I catch-up on it over the weekend while cleaning (ha-ha) or while in bed reading the recaps. It’s just too over the top or boring and repetitive, IMO. I find myself rolling my eyes when most characters come on the screen…

CeeCee
CeeCee

PS.
Here they are….Dante and Lulu, toasting, kissing, ladidaing it all over the place.
No matter how many times that bed has bee stripped clean, it will always carry the scent of another woman. Lulu, how low can you go? I would never take ‘something’ in that has been somewhere else.
Also, I would never drink beer, especially from the bottle. I know it’s the thing now, for men and women alike to drink beer; be chummy….I just can’t get used to that! A woman holding a beer is soooo…..well, not so for me. Does that make me a priss? Ah, well! Lol.
Nonetheless, I am glad and somewhat proud, that Lulu put a rein on her runaway idea that this is what it would take to put her marriage back together again. I would never want to see my husband again if he cheated. However, I tip my hat to Lulu, or any woman who tries, and has the confidence that he will never do it again. It takes a lot more than a romp in bed to aright a wrong.

Shay
Shay

Oh, CeeCeeGirl…..it never ceases to amaze me how similar our sensibilities are. The bed? Check. The beer? Check. The cheating? Double, no make that, TRIPLE check!!!!!!

CeeCee
CeeCee

@Shay.
Are you surprised Lulu and Dante are headed for splitsville? Although I did not want them to get back together, I thought that’s the direction TPTB were taking. I was actually surprised they are no more. So, does this leave the door open for Val? Is that also over? I don’t know, ShayGirl….Dante always seems in a daze to me. Maybe he’ll bump into someone while somnambulating. But who?? Another sleepy-head? Dante even looks like he just got out of bed, no? It’s not that I don’t like him, he’s just not interesting to me.
I am thoroughly enjoying Anna and Robert, though. Too bad ‘Colin’ has Tristan on a leash.
Ciao, tesoro….(that’s Jude’s grandfather Bonaventura’s endearment for me).

Hey, Shay…I just thought of a fitting adjective for Dante; DISHEVELED. Lol.

Hey, Girl:
I did reply about girls and beer, and our similarity on morality. But, it did not pass muster. Later.

Shay
Shay

Hey CeeCeeGirl, you and me both. I did send a sizable response to your Nina/Franco remarks. Basically, I told you the part I found funny was the “melting away” imagery…..then explained my thoughts on the characters. Oh well, another one bites the dust! LOL. As for Lulu, I thought her entire approach to a reunion with Dante was pathetic….his infidelity led to the disintegration of their marriage, and whilst I can see why he was upset about Lulu enlisting Johnny for revenge, the point is it would never have been necessary if he had kept his zipper up. Why Lulu would even want this cheating creep back, I’ll never know! She humiliated herself to get that disheveled (ooh, good call….) dolt back? Oh, please! Let Val have this loser….they should leave town together! Having said that, Lulu was smoldering with Johnny Z….what a couple! I so wanted them to run off on an adventure ala Luke and Laura….it would have so echoed her parents’ own history. Personally, I cannot wait until Mr. Zaccara escapes jail the next time around…..As for Robert and Anna, I hear you! The two are timeless….Scorpio needs to make his permanent home in Port Charles! Ciao, tesoro to you, as well!

Alan
Alan

Totally agree, dmr.

Once a cheater, always a cheater. Don’t care if Dante got the wrong idea about Lulu and Dillon — if cheating is a man’s first response to a problem then he isn’t worth the time or trouble.

CeeCee
CeeCee

I have been saying those same words since the get-go, Alan. Honestly, Lulu finally got it right.

CeeCee
CeeCee

Ain’t that the truth, dmr. I love my soaps so much that I wonder if I watch out of loyalty, routine or nostalgia; because some of these storylines and characters are painful to even contemplate.
Regardless, i missed you and I am happy you’re in there somewhere. Lol. Night.

dmr
dmr

Thanks, CeeCee! I could not believe when Dante and Lulu were on the bed. Unbelievable! Was it even mentioned, the cheating-in the bed, that he shared with his wife? Ugh. I’ve never cared for Dante, useless keystone cop, IMO. I can’t stand Lulu now, since Emme has taken over. She’s no longer strong, fearless, or fierce, IMO. I miss Claire Labine and Wendy Riche, the 90’s era-Sonny, Brenda, Lois, Ned, the Q’s, L & B Records, etc., etc.

Madluv4u

As per usual, I am alone I my opinion. I was surprised and a little tingly inside to see that Parker turned out to be a woman. Also, I think the two actresses have a ton of chemistry between them! It has kind of a “Carol” feel to it. Others may not like the pairing, and that’s fine, but I am sooooooo very over Brad and Lucas. They are not an attractive couple and I throw up just a little bit in my mouth anytime they kiss or have sex. I think Lucas should’ve wound up with Felix and I think that way because….well, he should have.
Madluv out!

Anthony

Don’t know if anyone posted this idea — but does anyone else think that Kristina being a lesbian/bi may be the source which brings a truce between Sonny and Julian? With both having gay/lesbian children, maybe the two will find some common ground — with Alexis in the middle. Maybe the writers can bring some peace to all this silly mob feuding, and little by little write the mob bs out of GH altogether!

Ingo Rademacher Returns As GH’s Jax Beginning In May

Things will get more interesting in the lives of Josslyn (Eden McCoy), Carly (Laura Wright), Sonny (Maurice Benard) and many others on the GH canvas with the arrival back in Port Charles of Jasper Jacks.  That’s because as previously announced, Ingo Rademacher is headed back to the ABC daytime drama series to reprise his signature role.

Circle May 7th for when you will see Jax back in action.  According to EW.com. “He’s back to see his daughter Josslyn and ex-wife Carly”   Jax will also share scenes with Steve Burton (Jason) and of course Maurice Benard (Sonny).

Looks like Jax may be back to help out Josslyn in her time of need as her boyfriend Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) final days seem to be drawing near, or does something else also bring his attention back to Port Charles?

It’s been a bit since Ingo played Jax on GH having last appeared on the soap in April of 2017.  Ingo eventually landed the role as the recast Thorne Forrester on CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful, a part he played till December of 2018.

Back in March, the actor originally from down under shared on his Instagram account: “Won’t be long now.  Just had my fitting. All new look for Jax. Start shooting next week. No air date yet. Stay tuned. Can’t wait!”

So, excited for some Jax on GH? What do you think will bring him back? What do you think will keep him in town? Comment below.

GH’s Coby Ryan McLaughlin Talks: Shiloh’s ‘Dawn Of Day’ Followers, Playing A Cult Leader, And His Co-Stars

Ever since the arrival in Port Charles of the mysterious “David Henry Archer” (Hank) now better known now as “Shiloh” (Coby Ryan McLaughlin), the minds of several members of the community have been revealed to, or have fallen under his spell.

For Shiloh is the cult leader of the group “Dawn of Day”.  He wields his manipulative skills to entrap unsuspecting people in his quest for power and control.   And make no mistake about it … he certainly has a target for Sam (Kelly Monaco), and an ax to grind with her.   For in her past, “the con-artist” Sam apparently swindled Shiloh’s father leaving him with next to nothing.  In addition to that, it has been noted, that Shiloh shared combat time in Afghanistan with Drew Cain (Billy Miller), before changing his name and coming to the town, where says he owes Drew for saving his life.

In story, one of his most loyal followers, Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) was to be initiated in the inner-circle of the cult, and after drinking from the cup as part of the ritual which drugged her, she was saved by Jason (Steve Burton ) who got her out of the “Dawn of Day” house and to a secret location, leaving Shiloh infuriated and needing to cover his tracks.  As the story has played out, we learn that Brad (Parry Shen) has also been bitten by the “Dawn of Day” bug and believes in Shiloh’s musing.  So much so that he wiped the evidence from the cup Krisina drank out of that Jason provided to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) for testing in the hospital.  The GH audience has also learned that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) was one of Shiloh’s favorite former members of the cult.  She has revealed she had a child with the guy (the baby she thinks is being raised by Brad) and needs to make sure he never finds out.  But, does Shiloh secretly know?

When we last saw Shiloh on Thursday’s episode of GH, he went into the files of the “Dawn of Day” followers and found Kristina’s.  He opened it, and we finally learn her “pledge” – a deep rooted secret from her past that one must share as part of the journey with the cult.  It revealed, that Shiloh knows that Kristina was abused by her former boyfriend Kiefer and that her mother, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) ran him down and killed him with her car.  Kristina knows about it first-hand, because she saw it happen as she was in the car with Alexis.  What will Shiloh eventually do with this Intel?

Michael Fairman TV chatted with Coby Ryan McLaughlin, who has been the catalyst for much of the latest trouble brewing on-screen on GH about: the complexities of playing such a dynamic, and yet terrifying character, what has it been like mixing it up with the stellar cast of the ABC daytime drama series, and what he thinks Shiloh’s next move might be.  Here’s what Coby had to say about all and more!

What do you think about the reaction of the GH audience to Shiloh?  Is it what you expected?

COBY:  I’ve never really played a bad guy like this.  It’s interesting playing a villain because they love to hate you.  I’ll go on Instagram every now and then and throw elbows at the fans.  It’s really a trip.  The thing I like about this guy is that he’s not completely diabolical.  There are other things going on with this guy; he has other agendas as well.  It’s interesting seeing people react to what it is that I am doing while I have a storyline that is playing out.

Courtesy/ABC

It’s is a bit of a trip as you say; because you have to, in many ways, be subtle in the manipulation as a cult leader would do.  Did you do any research on cult leaders before stepping into Shiloh’s shoes?

COBY:  I didn’t do much when I initially got the part, because I actually know some people like this.  I think as actors, one of the most interesting parts of our jobs is that we just get to sit back and observe things about people’s behaviors.  There are certain people who I have come across where my “Spidey senses” start tingling, and you think, “Well, I’m not going to get involved with this person, but what a fascinating individual.  This behavior is so fascinating.”  However, once I started this gig, yes, I did do research.   I’ll tell you, the one thing that a lot of these guys have in common is that they are extraordinarily exuberant.  They have just this energy about them, and they are seemingly humble.  They have these grandiose visions and these delusions of grandeur, but they do it in a way where you’re like, “Huh.  That almost seems kind of normal.”  In order to get a large number of people to follow you, you’ve got to be charismatic, you’ve got to be saying something that people really tap into and want to hear.  The behavior and psychology behind it are really interesting.  I watched this one documentary and these people literally had no idea … until they did.  They literally had no idea that they were in a cult until they woke up, and they were like, “Holy s**t.  This isn’t right.  This doesn’t feel right.”   Shiloh is an interesting role to play, and it’s written so straight down the line that I really don’t have to push anything, because the guy is written as what he is.   It’s really cool to be able to find all of the little things in that character, so I try to make him a whole bunch of different things to different people.

Did you know from the beginning that Shiloh would turn out to be this cult leader in the “Dawn of Day” storyline?  Who did you screen-test with that landed you the part?

COBY:  No, I didn’t know what he was going to be in the beginning.  I knew that he had an agenda, and when Mark Teschner (casting director, GH) told me that he was going to be a cult leader, I was like, “Oh, okay.  I know what I want to do.”   I have always had the opinion that cult leaders don’t come off bad… they’ve got to be likable.  You have to be able to relate to them in a way.  You have to be able to look at them and be like, “Ah well, maybe in certain circumstances what this guy is doing is okay.”  You have to be able to almost justify some of the behavior until you can’t anymore.  I screen tested with Laura Wright (Carly), and she is really fantastic.  We sit in the makeup chair and shoot the breeze all the time.

Courtesy/ABC

So, is Shiloh infatuated with Sam?   What does he ultimately want from her?

COBY:  Yes, but he wants a lot. (Laughs) There’s a lot of backstory to him and what really brought him to Port Charles.  Frank Valentini (executive producer, GH) and I have conversations all of the time about what this guy really is, and what his ultimate goals are, and that may change.  I think that Shiloh is a guy who has come to find his power, and the more powerful he gets, the more he wants.   You know, I’ve become a fan of General Hospital now.  I never watched the show before I got this gig.  I was a Days of our Lives guy years ago.  Don’t tell anybody. (Laughs).

Okay… we will not tell. (Laughs) Ah, sorry!  That’s got to be in the interview! (Laughs)

COBY:  All of  sudden, I will get a message from HR saying, “You’ve been great, but…” (Laughs)   But as to what Shiloh wants with Sam, you know I will read the scripts in advance, and I’ll start creating certain these things for myself in my own mind, such as: “What if he wanted to screw over Sam because of what she did to his father?”  What if it started like that, but all of the sudden he’s coming into some prominence and he wants to go after Sonny’s empire, and what if he wants to run the whole town and screw everybody…?”  I go through this whole thing.  It could literally go anywhere at any time, which is so cool about the soap world.

Without revealing what it is, do you have an idea of what the endgame is for Shiloh, or do you not?

COBY:  No, I don’t.  I think that it changes.  This is a really malleable medium, I’m coming to discover.  I think that nothing is set in stone.  I ultimately know what I want… just because I ultimately think that the foundation of the whole thing is rooted deep within this individual’s character: his emotional makeup, and how he was treated.  There is a lot of revenge going on with this guy, but there is a lot more than that.  He’s not just motivated by revenge.

Courtesy/ABC

Something had to have happened to him, of course, because you know how it works in soap operas!?  If you’re completely evil or bad, and even if you do horrendous things, and they want to keep you on the show, they have to find a way to humanize the character.  Otherwise, you’re there to cause trouble for a time, and you’re killed-off.  Shiloh’s tentacles seem more far-reaching then viewers first suspected.  He has this thing for Willow, who used to be in the cult, and now he’s got Brad under this thumb. What did you think about how much Shiloh is intertwined with and affecting the Port Charles canvas right now?

COBY:  I think that he is an apex predator.  I think that he sees certain people, and he knows how to utilize them for what he wants.  It’s kind of like a chess game.  He knows where Brad is.  He’s always wanted Willow, because it’s the one that got away, so there are certain things he uses as a means to an end, and there are certain things that I think he wants just for himself.  I think the relationships that he creates with this “higher-ups” in the town are because he knows he can utilize them, and there are some personal relationships that he keeps personal.  Shiloh has his own reasons for doing what he does, especially with Willow.  I think he was grooming her to be something.  Just the fact that she left him … really bothers him.

Photo: ABC

He doesn’t know that Willow had his child, or does he … hmmm?

COBY:  No, not as far as we know.

If he was to know, what do you think he would do?

COBY:  Well …  you’re just going to have to watch and find out.

So, when you found out that there was this major initiation going on which included: the drugging of Kristina, the huge payment she made to be in Shiloh’s inner-circle, and how he was preying on her vulnerability, were you like, “Oh my, God! They’re really going all the way with this cult thing?”

COBY:  No.  We kind of alluded to it, and it has to go all the way.   I wasn’t surprised when I read that in the script.  This is this guy’s MO.  He gets what he wants.

Courtesy/ABC

Shiloh’s s really upset that Kristina is missing and has figured that Jason kidnapped her.  He wants her back in the fold, correct?

COBY:  He does want her back, but he wants her back for a variety of reasons … and not just the fact that she reminds him of Willow.  That’s part of it, but I personally believe that he wants her back, because as I mentioned earlier it’s all about chess pieces for him.  He sets up the prominent people in his organization, so he can set them up to expand his means and to expand his agenda … to motivate his agenda, because there is a bigger picture to all of this.  Kristina is a Corinthos and she is part of the most powerful family in Port Charles, so there is that as well.  He wants to be able to have that power hold over that towns that he is in.

Many in the audience are wondering if Shiloh having sex with Kristina was a key part of his plan.  Is that part of his ritual?  Having sex with women upon initiation into his “inner circle”… or is that a grey area?

COBY:  Here is the thing, everything is consensual with him … that’s where his charm comes into play, that’s where sense of power comes into play.  So, with these women, nothing is forced.  There is not coercion …  at all!   So, yes, its alluded that he sleeps with them, but we don’t necessarily know if that is true for all of them … or…. if it is just for the ones that he takes a liking to.   The other thing we know; is that this guy is also a megalomaniac, so it’s also an exertion of power as well.  What I tried to do with it was not make it so completely overt.   He is a bit of a jerk, but I don’t want it to overstep that boundary of being tasteless.  I think you can go too far with it, so that is one of the reasons that we alluded to the fact that it was always consensual, and people what to be with him for one reason, or another.

That’s why there was an important conversation written into the script with Jason, Sam, and Michael (Chad Duell) about how there is no way to nail Shiloh for a crime because he is so cagey with every move he makes.

COBY:  Yeah, you could say cagey, I say smart.

Now, Jason is his target.  Would you say there are even more underlying reasons that the obvious of why he dislikes Jason so much? Does he really have an axe to grind with him?

COBY:  I think he likes messing with people, and I think if he is unable to exert his power, or his will, or his control, over somebody, it really annoys him.  The stuff with Steve Burton is rather fun!  Shiloh can’t manipulate Jason like he can manipulate these girls, or the way he manipulates Brad, because Jason just operates on a whole different level.  I think that Shiloh finds it fascinating that he can’t get to him.   Shiloh also wants to get him out of the way, because he can’t out-muscle him.  Even if I could, the writers wouldn’t allow it. (Laughs) So, that’s never going to happen.  As Shiloh, I have to out-think him, because I want him out of the picture.   Shiloh sees Jason as an obstacle and he wants him out of the way, and he will do it by any means necessary, via him or with his kids… anyway that he can, because he can’t get at him on his level, because the playing field isn’t equal.

What about Shiloh’s relationship with Drew (Billy Miller)?  What does he truly feel about him?

COBY:  I have this conversation with Frank Valentini all the time.  I think the relationship I have with Drew might be the only true relationship I have with anybody.  I think that Drew really did what Shiloh said that he did.  I think Drew really saved his life, and he does really want to pay that debt back.  I think therein really lies the contradiction with this guy.  It makes it difficult for him to operate.  I think he is conflicted on some levels because he is one guy to Drew, and he is a different guy to everybody else.  I think the way Shiloh is with Drew is real.  In his past, I think that Shiloh was completely fatalistic and reckless and didn’t care if he lived or died, and Drew did save his life, and he gave him a purpose.  However, I also think that he is such a damaged individual.  He needs that feeling of safety by exuding his power and control over others.  The writers have alluded to the fact that he has this other life, and that he was a broken individual, and turned his life around and came back from the brink of dying, of killing myself, of not caring.  So, with Drew, I don’t want to manipulate him.  I don’t want to use him.  I am truly just grateful for the fact that he allowed me another chance at life.  I love working with Billy, because that’s when I get to be human.  I’m not trying to gaslight him.  I’m not trying to get something from him – well, I’ll take that back, because I am trying to get something from him.  I’m just not trying to do it in a way that I go about it with the other characters.  There is a huge amount of respect between the two of us.

Unfortunately, Drew doesn’t remember anything about their past, which puts “pause” in believing Shiloh’s war stories.

COBY:  Yet.  (Laughs). Well, we’ve been alluding to the fact of, “What if he did this? What if he went back into his memories?  What if he were able to remember?  There are a lot of “What if’s …”  So, they keep a lot of balls in the air with this relationship.

What has it been like working with Lexi Ainsworth in this story, because she has been the main character so far drawn into the cult?

COBY:  She’s great.  I love Lexi.  She is so easy, fun, and safe, and just a really nice person.  We sit and chat all of the time and talk about what it is that we want from each other in the scene and how it’s going to work.   Everyone is great.   Kaetlyn MacMullan is so much fun as well as Willow.  As an actor, it’s really fun when you get people who really want to play and want to go.

And, what are your thoughts on working with GH favorite, Kelly Monaco, who is key in your storyline?

COBY:  Kelly is rad.  We talk about being able to “play jazz” all of the time, which means being able to go into a scene and just riff and have a good time, because there is so much dialog that you have to learn.  I mean, that dialogue is nuts, and sometimes you forget halfway through a page-long monologue when you are at 27 pages in.  That’s when it’s wonderful to have a really good dance partner who can pick you up.  There are times where I get so off script, and I’m like, “Holy s**t!  Where am I going with this?” (Laughs) I have got really good people like Lexi, Katelyn, or Kelly who have my back and that just makes it fun.

Some actors like to watch back their work, while others don’t.  Do you check out your performances on GH?

COBY:  Yeah.  Somebody on Instagram, this wonderful fan, will take all of the Shiloh’s scenes and post them!  Shockingly, I don’t own a television, so I don’t watch the show that way.

Do you make changes or adjustments once you see your work?

COBY:  Not really.  I made a decision to keep it real low-key with this, and just try to play everything real.   The other thing is I had never done anything like this before in my career.  I was so intimated by this whole thing, that it was like, “Alright man.  Just get in and listen.  Listen to what your scene partners are saying to you.”  In my approach, I am trying to be as still as I can possibly be and let whatever that person is saying motivate my responses and my actions.  If I watch my work, I’m like, “Yeah, that makes sense to me; I like that.  That’s something that this individual would do.”  Shiloh controls every situation that he is in, and even when he is introduced to new characters, he doesn’t wait to be introduced, he’ll just walk up and say, “Hi, I’m Shiloh!  What’s new with you?  How’s it going?” (Laughs) He kind of disarms them in every scene he is in.

Soap fans first saw you on The Young and the Restless in your stint as Andrew working alongside Eileen Davidson (Ashley).  How was that experience for you?

COBY:  Eileen was unreal.  She was really cool, because none of this phased her.  She had been doing daytime so long that it was just a thing to her.  I’d sit there and read my scripts over and over and over again, but she just knew how to do it.  It was so easy for her, that it made it easy for me.

In a broad stroke, what would you tells the fans to look forward to with Shiloh?

COBY:  Well, Shiloh is going to continue his agenda.  He is going to have to go about it in a different way.  There are things going down right now (and I won’t spoil it) that are going to change the way he operates, and he is going to have to get what he wants in a different way.  Some of the people who you would have thought that he trusted, have turned against him.  It just all makes it more fun for him because this is a huge game.  Even the stuff with Sam, you may think that you know where it is going, but it may not be.  So, as much as he is enamored by Sam, he has an agenda with her.

So, what do you think will be Shiloh’s next move?  Will he blackmail Alexis to get Kristina back at “Dawn of Day”? What is his plan for Sam? Is Shiloh connected to a key family in Port Charles, but it has yet to be revealed? Who else do you think might wind up in the cult? Finally, are you enjoying Coby’s performance on GH?
