THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Will Phyllis and Billy's Revenge Plan On Victor Destroy Their Relationships & Ultimately Lead Them To Each Other?

Courtesy/CBS
This past week on The Young and the Restless viewers learned that Adam’s kidnapper (Justin Hartley) was a woman, and that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) has enlisted “hacker” Natalie (Mara McCaffrey) against her will to help deliver a bogus internet security program to Newman Enterprises. Seems Phyllis is hell-bent on destroying Victor (Eric Braeden) in her revenge plot for nearly ruining her life with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) by substituing her hubby with his doppelganger … Peruvian drug lord, Marco!
Phyllis’ plot had now dragged in Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who is now recovered from his life threatening injuries sustained when Noah’s (Robert Adamson) car backed up into him while he lay on the ground beaten by his gambling bookie’s thug! Billy agreed to be complicit in Phyllis’ plan since his busness deal was stolen right from under him by Victor while he was down and out.
Billy also knows about Natalie’s part in their Victor takedown plan. However, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) has now been put in charge by Victor of watching over Natalie, and the security program she is developing for Newman. This squarely puts Victoria and Billy at odds in the workplace, and if and when the secret comes out that Billy is in cahoots with Phyllis to double cross Victoria’s father, it can’t be good for their relationship.
Meanwhile, Jack has asked Billy to return to Jabot, and to work with him and Phyllis. Jack wants to make the company greater than it ever was while putting all differences aside. But, will the residents of Genoa City, and the police cast doubt on Phyllis as the woman possibly behind Adam’s kidnapping? If Jack and Victoria were to find out that that Phyllis and Billy hatched a plot without their knowledge, could it spell curtains for both their relationships?
Before Burgess Jenkins last aired as Billy right before the character’s accident, it seemed that Phyllis and Billy were spending much more time together than previously. Add to that the change of actor with Jason Thompson in the mix to play opposite Gina Tognoni and it leads to this … could Phyllis and Billy be a possible romantic pairing?
Share your thoughts: What do you think of the plan to bring down Victor? Do you hope that Victoria and Billy weather any storm as do Phyllis and Jack? Would you be into seeing how a Phyllis and Billy romantic relationship would play on screen? Let us know, but first watch a promo from CBS Daytime for this week’s action on Y&R below, where it seems Billy is remembering that Noah was in the parking garage the night he was run over!

Y&R’s Victoria and Kyle’s Love Affair to Kick-Off; Amelia Heinle Says EP Sally McDonald Shared Why; ‘You’ve Got Chemistry’ with Michael Mealor

A day many fans of The Young and the Restless have been dreading, and others are down for, is here. Beginning with the Thursday, August 27 episode of The Young and the Restless, Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will have sex taking their growing attraction to each other to another level.
But why is Y&R heading down the path of an older woman/younger man, Newman/Abbott, former love interest of Victoria’s daughter Claire (Hayley Erin) and all the complications with longtime waring families? Because to the series, it will generate story to come.
Two-time Daytime Emmy winner, Amelia Heinle revealed to TV Insider, how she found out what she suspected that the powers-that-be were setting up a romance between Victoria and Kyle.

“At one point a while back, I noticed Kyle was always coming to talk to Victoria or we’d run into each other and I told Michael, ‘I don’t think they would ever put us together, but this is kind of funny because it feels like they’re trying to test our chemistry, which would be really, really odd,” recalled Heinle. ”
“But that memory passed quickly. And then I walked off set one day after finishing a scene with Michael and I got called up to our executive producer, Sally McDonald’s, office and she said, ‘We’re giving you a romance with him.’ And I’m like, ‘Who?’ And she said, ‘Him,’ and she pointed at the monitor because Michael was still on set. I was like, ‘Oh, OK. Are you sure?’ And she was like, ‘Uh-huh. Yup. You’ve got chemistry.’”
Once she learned the news, Heinle talks with Michael Mealor to make sure he was OK with the romantic story turn. “I walked up to him one day on set when I found out and said, ‘Do you know about this yet?’. Hw was like, ‘Yeah,’ and then I said, ‘So, are you OK?’ And he said, ‘Are you OK?’ And I said, ‘I’m good. I think we could make something out of this,’ and he said, ‘I do, too. I plan on leaning into it all.’ So, we were in agreement. Michael and I have always gotten along. We’ve always liked each other.”

The storyline was started by now former Y&R head writer Josh Griffith. So now that Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor are in place as the new co-head writers of the top-rated soap, things could change dramatically or go full steam ahead.
Heinle offered up, “It’s not going to be boring, that’s for sure. I feel like right now with the new writers coming in, it’s a work in progress. I feel like we’re seeing how it goes. They’re fully committed to it, but nothing is set in stone in terms of the story yet.”
So, where do you stand? Do you want to see Kyle and Victoria rip the clothes off of each other, have sex and have a torrid affair? Do you think it’s wrong for Victoria to be sleeping with her daughter’s former boyfriend? What side of the fence do you land on with this pairing? Let us know via the comment section below.

Dolly Parton Remembered: Y&R Alum Alyvia Alyn Lind Shares Heartfelt Tribute to the Legendary Singer and Songwriter

The world is in mourning on Tuesday, August 25 with the news of the passing of iconic and beloved country western singer/songwriter/actress Dolly Parton. The 11-time Grammy winner crafted and performed memorable hits such as “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” 9 to 5″, and “Here You Come Again, ” to name but a few.
Parton died in Nashville today. She was 80-years-old. Not only was Dolly an iconic name in the world of music, she was also an actor, producer, playwright, theme park founder (Dollywood), and a noted philanthropist.
One of the people lucky enough to know and experience the life of Dolly through a different lens was Alyvia Alyn Lind, the one time Faith Newman of The Young and the Restless. Lind played the role of Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) daughter on and off from 2011-2021.

ALVIA ALYN LIND PLAYED A YOUNG DOLLY
However, it was Lind, who portrayed a young Dolly in the television movie adaption of Parton’s song and book “A Coat of Many Colors” in 2015, and its sequel in 2016 Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love.
Parton and Lind shared a close bond following the project, famously performing a touching, emotional duet of Parton’s song “Angel Hill” together on Hallmark’s Home & Family.
Taking to her Instagram just a short time ago, Alyvia paid tribute to the one and only Parton, expressing, “I am truly at a loss for words. There are some people who come into your life and leave a mark that can never be erased. Dolly was one of those people. will forever be grateful that I had the privilege of knowing her, learning from her, and carrying a piece of her with me through such an important and formative part of my childhood. Getting to play Dolly changed my life, but getting to know her changed my heart. Memories, lessons, laughter, and a light that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”
Alyvia added, “The world will never be the same without her, but that light will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to experience it. Thank you for believing in me, for teaching me, for letting me be a small part of your story, and for being such a meaningful part of mine. Rest peacefully, Dolly. You will be missed more than words can ever say. Thank you for everything. ❤️
FAMILY ANNOUNCES THE DEATH OF DOLLY PARTON
Parton also starred alongside Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dabney Coleman in the smash 1980 film 9 to 5, and later roles in films including: The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Rhinestone, Steel Magnolias, Straight Talk, and Joyful Noise.
Parton’s death was announced via her official Instagram post by her nephew, Bryan Seaver on behalf of the Parton family. He shared the news in a video statement. You can see that below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Josh Swickard Recalls Emotional Moment After His Final Scenes with Michael Easton, and Favorite ‘Chase’ Storyline

Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase, General Hospital) is the special guest on this week’s all-new episode of Soapy Hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart. The GH fan favorite and leading men opened up about his life pre and post GH, his marriage to actress and producer, Lauren Swickard, and some of his toughest and most memorable moments during his eight-plus years as officer Chase of the PCPD.
One of the most heartbreaking moments came when Josh had to say farewell to his on-screen brother Finn played by soap veteran, Michael Easton. It was back on the Thursday, June 27, 2024 episode of General Hospital.
In it, Chase drives Finn to a rehab facility and the two brothers share a heartfelt talk in the car. Finn thanks Chase for allowing him to say goodbye to his daughter, Violet (Jophielle Love). Chase promises to take good care of her. However, Chase warns Finn to not to take any shortcuts on his way to sobriety and to always think of Violet’s wellbeing. It is apparent, the brothers don’t want to say goodbye, but on the count of three, Finn leaves Chase’s car and walks through the door of the rehab facility, while Chase in tears beats the steering wheel before drives away.

MISSING HIS TV BROTHER
Josh spoke to the “Soapy” podcast hosts about it and recalled, “In our last scenes together, and it was like his last day. Michael was like, ‘It’s okay.’ And I was like, ‘No, it’s not.’ I was supposed to be crying in the scene, I think. I was like a little glassy-eyed, a little glazed over. And then they were like, “And cut.” I was like, “Great.” I just like went behind the car and wept.”
Speaking of his professional and personal relationship with Easton, Josh expressed, “Michael is an awesome guy. He’s such a sweetheart. We’ve done fan events together in New York and he would show me things, like, ‘This where I used to live …’ He’s like an older brother to me.”
Not only did Josh lose his on-screen brother, but he also lost his on-screen father, Gregory, played by Gregory Harrison, when he was killed-off the show after the character battled ALS. “I think I was more just mourning friends that play family on a show, but a show that goes year after year, year round, and so they become family,” explained Swickard. “So, that part’s been hard for me of just losing friends that while, yes, you get to see each other, you get to call each other, it’s different (when they leave).”

CHASE IN A COMA IS FAVORITE OF JOSH’S
When asked, what has been his favorite storyline during his run on GH thus far, Josh took it back to when Chase became became critically ill after being poisoned by a toxic from Peter August (Wes Ramsey) meant for Finn. Eventually, Finn had to rescue his brother with the antidote for the toxin. That story played out from April to June 2021.
Josh explained, “Where I was in a coma and I was seizing and coughing and I had no blocking for like four months! It was great! It was a storyline where I was about to die and I had to say goodbye to a lot of lovely people and it was so exhausting. You get in the car and you feel like you got hit by a train every day because your body doesn’t fully know what acting is, apparently. I remember multiple days being like, ‘Oh, this is why I signed up for this.'”
Swickard also answered if there were moments in the storyline if he felt Chase was not going to survive. The GH star answered, “There were moments that I wondered. However, I think they were pretty upfront with me. They were like, ‘This isn’t what’s going to happen.'”

Sure does look like that us where it’s heading…I am in for the ride..poor Jack and Victoria!
I just pray Sharon will be happy because she has gone through so much. Sharon is my favorite character. Sharon Case should of been nominated for lead actress and win win win 🙂
Not yet, Daniele. Unfortunately, I don’t think TPTB are done with Sharon. As I said a few days ago, Anderson has been ‘feeding’ Sharon a placebo. We will see the ‘craziness ‘ come out again. I don’t quite understand why? Poor Sharon, enough already, right? Wait until the truth about Sully comes out. Sharon will be done for!!
No pity for Jack whatsoever. He has spun enough webs in his lifetime. Many of which really hurt people…namely, his wife, Patty Williams.
It is about time spirited; can’t-hold-me-down Phyllis emerged. By the same token, with the new face of Billy ( Jason T) comes the rebirth of a true Abbott, re-invented; innovative Billy. There was no way that Jason Thompson as Billy, was going to be driftwood amidst the sea of intrigue that is Victor and the Abbotts, themselves…..been in the background for way too long. He needed to develop a backbone since Jenkins sacrificed everything good, which Billy had striven to become. I could never imagine Jason T as the groveling Quasimodo.
I am not sure about Victoria and Billy/Jason. I need time to get acquainted with their collaboration as a couple. We shall see.
No one will ever best Victor. He always wins. Believe you me, I have tried and tried to capsize this mighty oaken ship..HaHa….no dice. The most worthy of men /women have tried…to no avail.
Nonetheless, it is so satisfying to see fire in Phyllis’ eyes…yessss!!!! I was really not liking her as the charm on Jack’s arm; the slouch on the Abbott’s couch….oh, no, no, no…..Phyllis was never passive. The prospect of watching Phyllis do her thing excites me…I hope Gina lives up to the name.
Hey, CeeCee…the first sentence in your post SPEAKS VOLUMES!!!!! Also, whatever respect I had for the character of Jack Abbott quickly F-L-E-W out the window FOREVER when he coldly screwed over poor Kelly Andrews. And, as far as I’m concerned, poor Kelly died of a broken heart. Beyond sad.
Later.
Is it just me, or are Billy and Phyllis PINING over each other? Egads!! Please, an emphatic NO!!!!!
No thanks.
I have zero desire to watch them destroy two legacy pairings for a sleazy affair.
I feel the same. And really? Billy is going to trash his
new relationship with Victoria and his kids 5 minutes after
making promises to her yet again? Not even up and around
yet, and he is teaming up with stupid Phyllis…ridiculously crazy.
And if Billy and Phyllis take it a step further to have affairs…
super crazy.
LOL at “legacy” pairings. The most legacy pairing on this show is Nikki and Victor and they have cheated on each other 1000 times over again (and are more popular than overrated Villy or Phack will ever be).
Stop. I hate couple stans, it’s annoying. It’s a soap opera. People cheat, it happens. As long as the story is well written and character driven I am fine with it. And not to worry it will probably be a brief affair and then Villy will reunite to bore the bejesus out of us all once again
Where have you been??
“Y & R” hasn’t been well-written or character-driven since Pratt took over as Head Writer!!
Back years ago when Stafford and Miller were playing the roles someone made the comment they would be cute together. Someone reminded us that according to history, Billy was born the same year Phyllis came to GC. They said and I cannot remember if this was figuratively or literally but she changed his diapers. Phyllis is a stretch putting her with the members of the Jabot kids. She belongs with Jack. Besides that they need to build up the relationships with this recast before they bring on the angst. I think they can do just as much damage as friends and they should remain friends. They did a great job setting up Jason in the role and they should continue. I think a roll in the hay with Phyllis would ruin that and him.
I’m out. I’m tired of Victoria losing her pairings. She deserves love too. Nice to be told they’re done and won’t be a family again. Thanks Michael.
One can only hope we’ll get a break from the boring and incessant Villy merry go round. We sat through it with DT and BUJ. I sure hope JT gets something else to play other than the same tedious, nauseating and wash, rinse, repeat with Villy (which is Billy messes up, Victoria gets mad and nags, Victoria kisses Victor’s butt all day long, Billy asks her back, she forgives him, they get back together then Billy messes up again and Victoria nags again, Victoria’s stuck up Victor’s butt again, blah blah blah)
i’m loving this story. It looks like Phyllis and Billy will happen. i hope Victor finally loses for once,it’s not very good television seeing him win all the time
I agree Robert but I think Victor loses when Chelsea starts turning to Nick for support. It’s already happening little by little and once she leaves Adam for Nick that will leave Sage free for Adam and Victor wont have anything to hold over Adam’s head anymore.
I don’t like cheating, in general. But, as viv says, it’s a soap. Thst’s what they do. I am just glad Phyllis gets the chance to be with someone her own age and stick it to Jack, who is, ironically and wrongly, always projected as the stud. Yuck. He’s old enough to be Phyllis’s father. Gina is so miscast ( age-wise). Let’s not forget that Daniel is in hid mid-thirties. To me, Victor snd Jack are no different. I am trying to think when Jack suddenly became this upstanding human being. He was always at odds with his father because of his double-dealings. So sanctimonious! Didn’t he sleep with Jill while she was married to John, his father?
If this happens between Billy and Phyllis, I will only feel badly for Victoria. She deserves better. The others will get theirs.
Victoria can go back to Stitch and Abby can hook up with TImmm! You know, it just hit me, Stitch is to Y&R what Sabrina is to GH, a relationship killer!
@Timmm.
I wouldn’t wish cantaloupe head on anyone…..that stubble really gets to me. Either grow a beard or shave. That thing’s ‘gotta’ hurt any woman with whom he gets comfy.
Awwww, my poor, poor, Timmmbo!! You really have it bad for Abby. Good Luck!! Luv-ya!
I just hope Billy can finally put a SMILE on Phyllis’s face.
the noah angle of the story never made sense to me because it came out of nowhere but i
i m hoping it comes up when billy and phyllis use that knowledge to blackmail victor in getting the internet deal!
You are so right, damien. It was an accident, that no one could have avoided, unless one circled his car. What was the purpose of hiding that fact? It’s not as if Noah had this bad reputation of doing something criminal.
I am beginning to think as you, damien ….that is; this is something for someone, Billy, Phyllis…anyone of Victor’s adversaries could hold over the mighty oak’s head! Good call, d.
You called it, damien. The blackmailing didn’t come from Billy etc, but, from Luca. The point is, we now know the reason …..you were right, ….blackmail. Boy, Victor/Adam are in a pickle. One demon playing off another? What can possibly happen? Combustion!!
I can’t wait to see Phyllis and Billy get closer, and closer, become more and more attracted to one another, kiss, then inevitably have sex. I hope it’s a long, passionate affair. Peter Bergman, Gina Tognoni, and Jason Thompaon are gonna kill this.
this is not on you
so… “many” say this… like a complete disregard, for the character… and actress…
Amelia Heinle; Victoria…. wouldn’t have traversed this far… without Heather Tom ?
to obliterate one of the best love stories…. as I’ve already posted… out of GH… offspring of veteran core character ? supercouple as it were Patrick and Robin… now ;
Billy and Victoria
absolutely
they exist… on so many levels… layers.. echelon… feature.. beam… and spotlight
we may not have any scenes to “judge” them yet
but .. I certainly do not see any reason to not feature these two struggles and ;
Heart tuggle; love ; ache ; leap
I’m just surprised that the writers’ are so unwittingly remiss…
has Jess Walton’ Jill yet to visit her son ?
has Peter Bergman’ aging character left ?
is Gina Tognoni able to catapult Phyllis ?
is Amelia Heinle dissed ??? because she’s not a fan favorite?
just putting it out their… to go so fast with Jason Thompson… with such a fire cracker come hither stand first… passion take
let’s see him adjust back to being a son… being comfortable with Victoria… ??? being honest with them… telling them he’s in cahoots with… and that … I’m not watching the show… LOL.. is he even still married to Victoria… ??? yet their she is… by his bedside… before even his immediate family
i’m not saying he’s going to jump the gun… because Jason Thompson is GOOD ! near the best for serial recipe…
I hope he sees what she is…Phyllis… just a means to and end
a child.. be it a thing of the past… a shared rich ristory… is not to be forgotten
this show has to feature where you post…
the heart doesn’t lie… so… i’ll take comfort … his heart knows Vics
Amelia took over the role of Victoria from Heather with ease and finesse. I never felt any repercussions from the transitional takeover. I actually came to think that Amelia did Victoria proud. She is loving, true and honest….and, of course, with just the right amount of being Victor Newman’s daughter. We have seen her sway back and forth…struggling internally when her father proposed shady or impossible tasks for her to follow through. But, bottom line, Victoria always kept her integrity. There have been moments where I held Victoria in contempt for caving into her father’s deceitful way of thinking; but, she always sprang back up.
This is why, Patrick, if she and Billy are starting on the wrong side of the bed again, as it were…..just make it happen fast and furious, yes? No lingering subterfuge with the potential affair between Billy and Phyllis. Victoria deserves better. She has been Billy’s Nanny; his guardian angel for way too long. How a man goes from a smiling, here’s-my-heart-Victoria to a dour, not-fun and unemotional Phyllis, I’ll never know. The real Phyllis’ ebullience was like a contagion. Now, I am relegated to look at a sourpuss. Gina does not know how to be Phyllis. She should bring a little bit of Kelly Kramer (OLTL) into her scenes. Lol. Bring her own spin to the character? Be that as it may, but this Phyllis is up recognizable. Yes, make her more mature….but, inject some life-serum into her.
Heather Tom is a thing of the past with Y&R. As much as I like her, I cannot ‘think’ of her as Victoria Newman any longer.
I agree, his heart SHOULD know Vic’s….and he SHOULD open his heart to her. I fear he will not, though. That’s the crux of the matter. Later, my friend.
Peter/Jack should retire his boxers. I will never understand why these older actors are put in such ‘triangles’, with much younger men and women. Jack did not drink from the fountain of youth….he looks his age…I am stating a fact. I always thought Jack was a better match for Nikki. Have at it, PTB.
One of these things doesn’t belong here….JACK!! He sticks out like a sore thumb because he is too old to compete….different generation altogether. He is decades older.
As much as I do not want it to happen, Anne; I think there is a good chance, what you want to happen will happen. I think it’s wrong to do this to Victoria…..she has forgiven his wandering eye so many times before, among his other vices. So, in a way, if it does happen, it may very well be a blessing in disguise: To forget him and move on for good. Billy does not deserve her. Perhaps, Father does know best.
Although cheating is par for the course on soaps, I do wish they would stop making it a family affair—Y&R isn’t as bad as B&B for these near incest like pairings, but they are a close second. I get the double betrayal angle is hard to resist — but there is something so sleazy about it, remember Abby sleeping with Summer’s husband.
It will be hard for me to get behind a Phyllis and Billy pairing when I know how much they would be hurting Jack in the process. I would more okay with this only if Jack and Phyllis and Billy and Victoria have broken up first. It still be a bit icky but less so them flat out cheating while they are still with their spouses.
Not a good way for Jason Thompson to start his ‘new life’, is it, Mary? In more ways than one.
Thats the issue, Billy would be hurting Jack AND I thought he was happy to have this 100th chance to return to Vic and live with his kids? I know his excuse will be he was only trying to rebuild Jabot but its a lame one. Like you said though, its a soap and thats what happens on a soap! I will be mad because I think Jason and Amelia have chemistry and I want to see them fall back in love-for awhile!
I think the writers going that way, it so predictable and boring. Jason thompson has chemistry with everyone but with Amelia Heinle they are sizzling and smoking hot and cute family.
I don’t like phyllis from the start. I love victoria and Billy together kudos to Amelia and Jason for capturing the magic so fast
Hi, tina.
I loved Michelle’s Phyllis. I just don’t like Gina’s representation of her. She seems to be moving in the right direction, showing some spark, but I will need to see the fire. Will she deliver?
I far prefer Billy and Victoria but I see where this story is going. I wish they would have actually let Victoria and Billy be happy for a good long while before they destroyed them again but alas….
That said, I”m hopeful Victoria and Billy will at least be over before they do this story. It does a lot of longterm damage to a couple that has been through nothing but turmoil for the last three years.
I do not want Billy and Victoria together..
ALL the Billys have Victoria’s lap dogs and Victors punching bags..
Whichever Billy, Victoria has always had controll over them and all the Billy’s have jumped through hoops to please Victoria..
This time around I do not want new Billy, JT Billy under Victoria’s thumb, her lap dog..
FREE BILLY !!!
Well put my feelings exactly.
su0000…OH, I AGREE!!!!! At this point, Victoria SICKENS me!!!!! Oh…and BTW…the last two words in your post SPEAKS VOLUMES!!!!!! Thank You.
Peace.
I disagree, Su!
No way has Billy jumped through hoops.
If anything, Victoria has had to consistently
jump through a different kind of hoop to just
simply try to have her hubby act decently without
gambling, cheating, lying, etc. So if he would just
grow up a bit he wouldnt have to constantly apologize.
Right on, Nanci. Victoria grew up; Billy stayed behind, making it a constant struggle for Victoria to adjust her life to his, when it should have been the other any around. I was hoping that Jason would bring maturity to the character. I won’t give up yet. I honestly don’t care about Phyllis’ and Jack’s marriage. But, I do care about Billy and Victoria. It would seem that the writers will be ending a relationship between Billy and Victoria before it even starts. Very disappointing. I think Phyllis should have chased Victor’s pants to bed, if she wanted to give him the old one-two and beat him at his own game….then, I would have gained extreme satisfaction watching Nikki trip and fall. She makes me want to chew my fingernails off. I don’t like the taste of nail polish. Later.
AWww, su….but Victoria loves Billy. I feel badly for her. She has forgiven him so many times, and she is good for him, even though she’s a domineering Newman. Lol. I think that this thing with Phyllis ( Gina is not cutting it as Phyllis, in my opinion) and Billy will happen. I have seen it coming down the Pike for weeks, now….but, in the end, they will both regret it. I doubt Victoria will ever take Billy back. I just want Jack to get the shock of his life and realize he’s not 30, 40 or 50 anymore. He should use this time to track down Kemo and find out how many grandchildren he has now!! Lol.
Its about time RED shows up since Gina took over for Michelle! I’ve been waiting for this. What Victor did to her was basically set her up to be rapped! I’m glad she has some balls as opposed to Jacky! I love Peter but he could have stuck it to Victor and he wimped out! I also love Jason as Billy and I was hoping this darker Billy would be written to best Victor. The only thing I dont want is for RED and Billy to hook up. I just want them to get revenge on Victor and stay with their mates. Especially Billy and Victoria. It would be fun to see the new Billy rekindle his love for Vic and be under the same roof as his kids.
I agree with most of what you wrote. I want Phyllis and Billy to stick it to Victor (finally!) and I hate that Jack wimped out. It was very uncharacteristic of him not to go full throttle revenge against Victor. I also do not want an affair between them. I don’t much care for Billy and Victoria (mostly because I cannot stand “daddy’s girl”) but I love Phyllis and Jack and I do not want Jack to get hurt. Plus we’ve already done the “Billy cheats with Jack’s woman” story when Billy cheated with Sharon. Been there, done that, do not want to revisit.
I want someone to finally best Victor! So annoying to watch him get away with everything! He kidnapped Marisa and let her go when he realized he had the wrong “girl” and nothing happened to him for his illegal actions! Marisa went on her merry way without a second thought that someone had actually tried to kidnap her! And she helped with the fashion show to get Adam back!? This was one of the stupidest story lines I have ever seen on this show.
I know Marisa walked past Victor at the fashion show and didnt say ONE word!
Yeah, Timmm. I agree, as I said a few days ago. But, I am ready to be disappointed. Gina Tognoni is not Phyllis….all wrong!! She is just going through the motions, as far as I’m concerned. Gina fascinated me as Kelly Kramer, but as Phyllis? Nah….something is missing. How about that mischievous sparkle in her eye? Not there. Phyllis in pensive mode does not become her. I am not buying it. I applaud her effort. The door is wide open. Enter. Let’s see what happens. I will grant her that. Bye, love.
I agree Cee, its like your not even aloud to say this out loud but Gina is horrible. NOT a horrible actress but horrible at being Phyllis! She has NO chemistry with anyone she is acting with. And I’m not even saying no one can be Phyllis BUT Michelle. No, I just think they casted the wrong actress. Speaking of Michelle, she is looking like ONE million bucks on GH these days. Could it be her products? Cee ya Cee!
“Allowed!”
CeeCee,
That is it exactly…the word “pensive”!
Phyllis just always looks that way, and it bugs me.
I had started to sorta like Gina in the role, but not
so much anymore…just something is missing as you said.
Looking forward to Gina Tognoni shedding the shackles and letting HER version of Phyllis fly and, if that includes Jason Thompson then I am all for it.
I think, sadly, Villy was set to sea a long time ago (back when he cheated on Victoria with Kelly #1). It should never have gone there and it ruined them.
I don’t know about anyone else but I get sick of everyone always plotting to get revenge on Victor and they always fail. I would love to see somebody really get him just once and I don’t know why Billy is taking that daddy’s girl back. He knows as soon as she finds out what he’s up to she is going to give him his walking papers again, because how dare he hurt daddy. He needs to tell her to go with her daddy and make a new life for himself.
Son sleeps with Fathers wife, Mother wants daughters husband, now Brother sleeps with Brothers wife. Can we get a better writer in the room quick.
It won’t make a dent, Mike. It’s been going on since day one. It won’t change now. The first time I remember was when Nikki slept with her son-in-law. Soooo…..
I hope I was imagining things while watching the “Second Chances” teaser. I hope that brainless, spineless Cane is not crawling back to his abusive wife. That fool needs to see Dr. Anderson.
Hey, Llanviewer717…your post made me LMAO!!!!! GOOD ONE!!!!!
A lot of big players in this story and i’m digging it. Kudos to Chuck Pratt and his team.
Christina; Tina; lisa; – plus –
I am a Victoria and Billy’ fan… when these two found each other… LOL whodathunk a Newman and an Abbott would conjoin… believe in each other… all hell break loose…. all the rest be damned !
this was a wedded bliss and pairing that; for all it’s REEL… took us away from the dagnabit Newman-Abbot feud as it were… and these two escalated without and loved…. “LOVED” each other
it was an unrequited love… a young foundling… burgeoning of new character… and.. let’s say it was within a bubble… and the Newman – Abbott burst in and around this coupling…. oy! how does any couple survive
at last ! I was able to witness my Victoria heart burst… a love outside of the confines of Newman “control” she “defied” her fathers “best” intentions… she believed in herself
alas… to and fro.. ebb and flow.. all good things come to … “waste” ??? storyline…
drama must
Billy The Abbott.. who comingled ; the be damned ; the mind of his own ; traversed his way; ?? bump in the road… came to his senses… with ; Victoria with .. child
whew! I’ll cry … Dehlia
how does any couple survive
outside of their strong familial ties that bind ; loyalty ; family first ; show no weak
these two… still find a semblance of care; recognition; valid; heart took ; leapt at passion
this is how it is…
Victoria and Billy
a love story
——–
Amelia Heinle carried Victoria fragile… not weak… she held that in…
Victoria flew with Billy… and he; for that time ; nested
dare I say : “nested” Billy Abbott truly is that fly by night… don’t pin down…
did he grow and shares insight with life… after Delia
the one woman who shouldered his grief … supported them both… the marriage… and let him be …. ?
not because she’d put up with his infidelities.. but the love that she knows
you know… lets go their… two of the younger generation and offspring; Newman – Abbot fine line
I find it interesting that these two characters … understand their families
I find it interesting that these two characters… do not shoulder and carry their family outright
yeah! I say this in deference to the character of Victoria… being saddles with Daddy’ little girl
what an opportune time… to see what lies ahead for Jason Thompson and Amelia Heine
a love story
Wow! What a fun read. Thank you.
To the writers, give viewers time to meet this new Billy. Try as hard as you might to be somewhat true to your characters.
I just had a thought..
you wanna know my thought? sure you do!
ok–
If Chuck Pratt jr and Ron Carlivati were a team; WOW GH would have been total WOW!
Gina Tognoni’s Phyllis isn’t cutting it for me. Michelle Stafford’s Phyllis was a force of nature who went from zero to witch in seconds but always had a sense of humor and a playfulness even when she was scheming. The new Phyllis is just mean and humorless and constantly mad about something.
This recast needed someone like Marcy Walker who could play the bad girl you still rooted for in spite of herself.
this isn’t too much of a dig…. but
I don’t know… if I’ve seen Gina Tognoni’ Phyllis
laugh, smile, giggle… laugh out loud
if Jason Thompson acting…. with and by GT side… escalates her performance…. I’m ALL for this
just keep Billy radar close to his heart strings… all the elements that Jason Thompson WINS at
everything
I’ve said this about so many actresses’
but… you are absolutely right
Marcy Walker personified more than most
gawd ! HOW I love her talent… from AMC to Santa Barbara to Guiding Light
reigned
She has RBF, Patrick. The same goes for Sam (GH). Lol.
I tend to agree with you but I do like that she is finally showing SOME fire and going after Victor!
Natalie will be a Newman, Nicks daughter from pool party. Duplicitous baby switching doctor is either the girl at pool party or her sister.
Good one, Tomas. I looove your premise. We assumed Dr. Anderson is the girl at pool party…ergo, her revenge. She was paralized, but apparently recovered. Could Natalie be Anderson’s daughter with Nick, as you suggest.? Wow…I hope they read your post. What a revelation that would be. Knock everyone’s socks off.
Hey, CeeCee…that WHACK-JOB Dr. Anderson and that Natalie chick as mother and daughter??? You know what…that N-E-V-E-R would have occurred to me!!!!! CeeCee, my dear, more and more, you have such a good SOAP EYE…you certainly know how to spot stuff!!!!! Yep.
Later.
@jaybird.
Hey, there, Jay.
I can’t take the credit for that, Jay…it was Tomas’s brilliant deduction. I just embellished it a bit. We are more than sure that Anderson is the girl that was hurt during one of Nick’s wild parties as the spoiled brat, Newman teen. I think she’s recovered from her paralysis and came to get revenge on Nick; or she just plainly wants him. The mystery is, did he have sex with her back then? …some things do not add up. Tomas also thinks that Anderson could possibly be the hurt girl’s sister, also come to get revenge. Payback time? Later.
That’s exactly what I thought, Thomas. What is awesome is that I figured it out when I saw Natalie standing next to Victoria and thought they looked a lot alike. Good casting in my opinion!!!
Friday’ EP: for Y&R… was the best Friday cliffhanger I’ve seen in a LONG time
Jack : “Ashley turned me down, so did Abby; if billy adds his no to the list…. it’s going to be just me i’m not sure I have the heart to pull it off…I’m not sure what jabot is without family”
Phyllis: “you are not alone, you are my husband. I sign my checks Phyllis Abbott. I’m not going anywhere”
at the end of the ep; Billy is in…. w/ Jack and Phyllis. Abby is back, working at Jabot.
the “drama” is building with Dr. Neville and Ashley
Justin Hartley is va va voom… I hope he’s working his dad as well.
Victoria is in charge of Newman whilst Victor is off on a trip.
the whole ep took for a ride…. YES! The Abbott Reign is good and well.
NuVilly have zero chemistry.Sorry but its true!
Burgess Jenkins is the Billy I see when another character mentions Billy. Unfortunately, this Billy has no chemistry with the others, especially Victoria. He looks nothing like an Abbott. Bad recasting. They should have cast the new actor to play a detective or Luca’s father or older brother.
Burgess was not on long enough to own the role. That’s Billy a Miller who honed and molded the character. Jenkins??
I cannot believe that the focus of Sage’s “issues”, is now her therapist. It would never happen !!!!! This is such a conflict of interest, there is no way that this storyline isn’t a joke !!! Let’s get realistic writers back to Y & R . Stop treating the viewers like idiots !!
It’s all pretend, Patty. It is an excuse for Sage to snoop around in doc’s office. She found the book on COPING WITH PARALYSIS. This tells me, Anderson beat the odds.
Nick and Sage are working together and have devised/designed this scheme to get to the truth.
With all due respect, I think you must have missed a couple of episodes. Later.
CeeCee, is it just me, or does everyone know exactly where this storyline is going?
@Ashleigh.
Yup. You got it, Ash. Unless TPTB have suddenly developed an extra brain full of innovative, original storylines, this story is an open book. Pardon the pun.
I hope the writers have a surprise up their sleeve, and shut me right down. But, it looks like Anderson came looking for Nick to destroy his marriage in order to have him for herself. She is doing it either out of revenge to annihilate Nick; or simply to live ‘happily ever after’ with him…..all in her head. One way or another, she’s not in her right mind. How she got through medical school is beyond me. I suppose her focus and determination to reach the finish line gave her purpose. Only in soaps, Ashleigh. Imagine dedicating over twenty years of your life to this point? Really? Sorry for the rant.
ie: writers make all the difference I the world ???? !!!!
Jason Thompson; from; ( GH)
Robin ; Lisa ; Sabrina ; Sam ; back to Robin
Y&R; Victoria w/Jason Thompson’ Billy
I see something between these two that is more than comfortable
those little moments nuances… and being relaxed together means all that’s needed to connect
which…. is working… and if; down the line… Billy has one of those moments… and strays … go ahead be a ditz and take Phyllis
hit between the eyes again; Victoria… will be the go to girl…
just saying that the foundation of Billy; Character, is in fact, with Victoria
ugh! how does any woman… let this happen… to her with her at her her family him him him ( I know; it’s a serial )
argh!
to me it’s comforting that their is in fact chemistry with Amelia’ Victoria
OK… the show will go on… all the groundwork is as it should be
NOW… it’s time for more scenes with Jess Walton
Hi there soap buds,
I think the new Billy is wonderful very charming, something we haven’t seen since Billy Miller moved on to GH. I kind of think Phyllis will do the unpredictable and meet up with Luca or even Adam. I just don’t see the connection with her and Billy but then again that is up to the writers. I do find the Nick and Sage story line blah and what oh what will become of poor pathetic Sharon when the world finds out the baby is not hers. Will Adam turn to Sharon and will Dillon go back to Chelsea.
Hello back, soap bud:
I asked that same question. TPTB are not done torturing Sharon. Sad, isn’t it? As I said, I suspect the doc is giving her a placebo. Now, if you predict that Adam and Dillon will turn to others…..then, what can I say? They are not men, they are cowards. Whatever happened to, “For better or for worse”?
