GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sasha Stabs Cody
The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, July 19th finds poor Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) un to catch a break, yet again! This time, while under the influence of a drug, things go awry. The said drug was prescribed by the doctor working with Gladys to make Sasha hallucinate, seem unstable, and to blur her sense of reality.
While at the Metro Court, Sasha is giving an interview to Crimson, and the reporter brings up her past entanglements with criminal Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). That prompts Sasha (when she looks behind the reporter) to think she is seeing Cyrus in an argument with Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs), when Gladys is actually arguing with Cody (Josh Kelly).
Next, Gladys is constantly poking at Cody, prompting him to grab her by the arm to make her back off. A hallucinating Sasha thinks it’s Cyrus grabbing at Gladys. Then, she finds a knife at the Metro Court Pool buffet table and runs over and stabs Cody.

This is just another instance of the tortured life of Sasha Gilmore that includes: losing her newborn baby, losing her beloved Brando (Johnny Wactor), getting hooked on speed, Gladys and others trying to break her down, and much more. The current storyline is quite upsetting to watch Sasha be intentionally drugged with Gladys pulling all the strings.

So, will Cody’s stabbing ultimately bring him deeper in his feelings for Sasha and vice-versa? Will Gladys have succeeded in framing Sasha, so she can ensure her guardianship continues in order to have access and power over Sasha’s money? Stay tuned.

This is a plot point writing “twofer”…
It provides an excuse to get Sasha into either a rehab clinic or the looney bin, so she can be off screen to have her baby.
And it probably will lead to Cody losing a lot of blood, and needing a transfusion. Which will cause Dante to open his mouth and admit that he saw the paperwork that said Mac was Cody’s father.
Despite what that paper says, I don’t see any resemblance to a Scorpio there at all… and I’m not just talking about looks.
It would be nice if this also led to the end of Gladys, but I’m not holding my breath. Just as it is with Nina, and just as it was with Whiny Heiny & Shiloh, the Valentini regime seems to love tormenting GH viewers with these despicable characters that nobody actually likes.
Right on the mark you are, Satan—Every word !! I just can’t wait to be rid of Gladys and Wu—neither of them is intriguing nor likable. There are, of course, such baddies as Cyrus, but even with all his satanic moves ( ha!!), I’v liked him since forever.
I love Cyrus but yes I would love to see Sasha & Cody be a couple….I can’t wait until miss wu & Gladys get busted and both sent to pentenville

When this is all said and done Sonny better not save Glady’s ass after every thing she’s done to everyone, family or not!
Glady is evil she needs to be gone for good, how can you do that to supposedly someone you care about
I like her nett than the one before her. She fits better in the family of sisters
Terrible story line watching Sasha meltdown and Gladys and the shrink in cahoots. Hurts in the heart.
Please end this storyline involving Sasha. Let the character be happy. This story line saddens me. Please get rid Gladys. Annoying!!!

I agree..get rid of that storyline..let Sasha be happy..get rid of Gladys..Maybe Sonny should find out what Gladys has been doing to Sasha..her and the doctor ..You can bet he will fix things ..take care of the doctor and Gladys..relative or not ..He cares about Sasha ,and he will help her

I can’t watch this show any longer. It is now beyond ridiculous..
I think that both of these story lines r getting really boring. Because ( 1st) of all
They need to get hurry up and Have Sonny and Willow and everyone else find out . About what Nina has done to Drew and Carly. That she called Martin to report Carly and Drew to the SEC in the first place. Ned needs to get his memory back ASAP. And for Sonny to find out that Ava knew about it this whole time. She didn’t tell Sonny about it.
And ( 2nd) – Of all they really need to get rid Gladys because she is such a liar and troublemaker. Sonny needs to find out what type of person that she is. She’s is so Money Hungry . And Sasha needs to belive Cody is only trying to help her. But both of these story lines r taking way to long. Sonny needs to find out about Nina and Gladys True colors and what type of people they really are.
Sasha is going to Ferncliff, can’t believe it. I remember when Carly and Kevin were there, terrible place. Sasha had her baby girl two months ago, why aren’t we reading about it here?
Violet – Michael did a post on Sofia’s baby. The show ran up their stockpile of taped episodes since production shut down for the month of July. We’ll likely not see Sasha again on screen until the fall.
If they follow what actually happens under a guardianship I can’t wait to see Gladys face when they get the notice from the court that it’s time for a financial review of Sasha’s account
Please let poor Sasha find happiness and stop Gladys using Sasha ‘s money.
After seeing how broken Sasha became, and Sofia played that extremely well, Gladys definitely has to go. To play with a frigle person’s mind is just far too unforgivable.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Sonny makes a stunning announcement. Serena makes her move. Willow faces a new threat. Isaiah takes the stand. Lucy questions Laura.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 7
Josslyn is taken aback. Ava courts a new ally. Jordan and Anna catch up. Isaiah vents to Lucas and Elizabeth. Michael questions Jacinda.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.
PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
