Need to Know

  • General Hospital honors the late Anthony Geary in a special episode devoted to his character, Luke Spencer.
  • The highly-anticipated tribute airs on Friday, February 20 on ABC and streams on Hulu.
  • Lulu Spencer is at the epicenter of the story as she, Laura, Tracy, Sonny, Elizabeth and Carly remember how Luke impacted their lives then and now.

The Friday, February 20 episode of General Hospital will feature the highly-anticipated standalone tribute to Anthony Geary, and the one-of-a-kind character he played, Luke Spencer.

As viewers know, Tony passed away back on December 14, 2025 and since the character of Luke Spencer also died off-screen and was memorialized on-screen in January of 2022, the GH creatives had to find a way into the story. Their answer came in the form of Luke’s daughter, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins), who was in a coma during the time news traveled that her dad perished in a cable car accident.

In this standalone, emotionally grounded tribute episode, the residents of Port Charles find themselves unexpectedly united in remembering Luke Spencer, as Lulu grapples with the grief she never fully processed after her father’s death. Sparked by a simple photograph, Lulu—alongside Tracy (Jane Elliot)—sets out to honor Luke in a way that feels true to who he was, drawing Laura (Genie Francis), Sonny (Maurice Benard), Carly (Laura Wright), and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) into a day of shared memories, humor, and reflection.

The ABC daytime drama also shared on the episode, “Through intimate conversations, memories, and personal rituals, each character confronts how Luke shaped their lives, culminating in a collective celebration that affirms his enduring presence in their hearts. The episode closes on a quiet, hopeful note, honoring Luke Spencer’s legacy as a force of love, chaos, and connection that continues to ripple through Port Charles.”

Genie Francis, who was one-half of the most storied couple in soap opera history with Geary as Luke and Laura, has a very emotional moment that was shared as a preview (you can watch it below). Laura who is inside a chapel and in tears, says to the late Luke, “I know you’re not here on this earth with us anymore, but Luke, you never left me, never once. I feel your presence when life gets too heavy. When I feel like I can’t go one more step, it’s your voice that I hear calling me angel, reminding me of who I am. Then, somehow, I find the strength, and I do go on.”

Alexa Havins, who is at the epicenter of the story, and is well aware that the Lulu’s that came before her, Julie Berman and Emme Rylan, worked with Tony Geary, while she never had the opportunity. The actress shared to Soap Opera Digest, “I’m so incredibly humbled to be included in this farewell and walk down memory lane for this massive legacy character. When I first heard (about Lulu’s importance to the episode), I was very surprised. And then fear set in! I was so nervous and scared because I’m not the Lulu that worked with him and has all that beautiful history with him.” She added. “It’s a very interesting script, a really smart script. It’s like the audience is grieving through Lulu’s eyes, and it’s a journey down memory lane.”

Maurice Benard also spoke with Soap Opera Digest, about the bond between Sonny and Luke on-screen and he and Tony Geary off-screen. Of what viewers will see tomorrow, the three-time Daytime Emmy-winning star shared, “It’s a beautiful tribute. I could tell it would be just by reading the script, but then the acting in some of the scenes is beautiful, too. Everybody should watch.”

Laura Wright expressed on what viewers will see on the special episode to TV Insider: “You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, which was very Tony and very Luke. He could make you laugh, and then five minutes later, you’re sobbing in a scene. There are scenes with Lulu and Laura that are just so beautiful, and scenes with Tracy and Lulu at the bar that are as well. I got to have scenes with Genie that were special at Bobbie’s diner. And, of course, scenes with Maurice, and then everybody else. It was just amazing.”

“This was not a planned episode — no one expected Tony to pass,” explained Wright. “So it was carefully put together. It is a show out of time, and it just felt so magical and special doing that. When we would put on the costume for that particular show, you could feel it was a different experience.”

Looking forward to see these scenes. I wonder if they’ll show flashbacks featuring Julie Berman when Lulu reminisces. The audience would accept that.

Kudos to Frank and crew for getting this dive so quickly. This episode was reportedly filmed just LAST WEEK. While DAYS is over 10 months to air date at this point, it’s quite impressive how agile GH’s production team can be.

General Hospital’s Tuesday, May 19 episode left many on the edge of their seats with several key stories escalating to the point where what happens next could be the pivotal moments for all involved,

First, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) gets a call and learns that Anna (Finola Hughes) was moved to a high-security facility for the criminally insane. He fights back tears as he tells Carly (Laura Wright) that this is all Cullum’s (Andrew Hawkes) doing and he knows it. Valentin tells Carly that Anna must be so scared. He announces he is going to head to France to break her out of the mental institution. Carly clearly sees he still has deep feelings for Anna? Is she jealous?

Meanwhile, PCPD newbie Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) is already ready to resign from his new gig, because he learns of everyone’s relationship to everyone in town. Joe does not like that Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) intended to bury Curtis’s (Donnell Turner) arrest.  Joe clearly saw a pregnant woman worried and a man being punched out after Curtis hit Isaiah. Dante assures Joe he runs a tight ship at the PCPD and that Joe had done his job with arresting Curtis. What is in Joe’s past that gets him so upset about injustice?

BROTHERLY WARNING

At Wyndemere, Cullum confronts Sidwell (Carlo Rota) believing Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) may have shot him. Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) shows up with an update on finishing the prototype and says it should be online in the next 24 hours. Now, she needs her mediation. Before Cullum will inject her, he wants to know why she lied about who shot him. Britt fires back that Jason had been the only person on the pier when she regained consciousness. She says, she believed Jason shot him, adding “I’m only sorry he didn’t shoot you twice.”

After Rocco (Finn Carr) warned Danny and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) to stay away from Wyndemere, the two went anyway. Once there and outside on the patio, they eavesdropped on the conversation between Cullum and Britt and heard shocking information.

CULLUM AND DANNY COME FACE TO FACE

Rocco tries to tell Gio (Giovanni Mazza) what is going on with Danny, Charlotte and shooting Cullum, but he gets so upset he can’t get the words out and leaves. Gio promises Emma he will help his brother after disappointing him twice before.

Back on Spoon Island, Danny and Charlotte decided to sneak into the living room at Wyndemere, when everyone left. Danny wants to go down to the basement and find out what’s going on and take photos of the secret project and turn it over to Dante. Suddenly, they are stopped in their tracks when Cullum appears. We fade to black.

So, what do you think will happen now that Danny and Charlotte are at Wyndemere? Will they get out of there? Will they get trapped by Cullum? What is the backstory with with Joe? And, do you want Valentin with Anna or Valentin with Carly? Let us know in the comment section. But first, check out this clip and conversation between Dante and Joe from yesterday’s GH, followed by the teaser for today’s all-new epiosde.

On General Hospital, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) is having her own crisis to deal with since the accident that scarred and disfigured her face. In addition, the man she loves, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was just hauled into the PCPD for punching out Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). Curtis is determined to put the blame on Dr. Gannon for being the driver of the other car.

Such is the drama that Tanisha Harper is currently involved in on the long-running ABC daytime drama. Harper sat down with hosts Rebecca Budig (Taylor, The Bold and the Beautiful) and Greg Rikaart (Leo, Days of Our Lives) for the latest edition of their Soapy podcast which dropped on Tuesday.

As GH fans know, there have been a total of four actresses to play the role of Jordan. Vinessa Antoine (2014–2018), Briana Nicole Henry (2018–2021): Tiffany Daniels (2021) who temporarily filled-in for Henry while she was recovering from Covid-19, and Tanisha Harper (2022- present).

FINOLA HUGHES WAS A BIG CHEERLEADER FOR TANISHA

Tanisha recalls her screen-test for the role which was actually with Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) and Finola Hughes (Anna): “They were wonderful. I just adore Finola.  I remember when I had finished one of the scenes, and I think we were doing another scene, or another take in a different way, and she was like, “You got this. You’re gonna get this.”  She was so positive, so great, and just so lovely and it made me feel so good.”

BECOMING THE NEXT JORDAN ASHFORD

In addition, Harper shared how she really didn’t know what part she actually would be playing till shortly before her first day on set. “There were two other Jordans, and then there was another girl before me and Brianna,” she detailed. “Initially, I didn’t know that was the role I was going for. So I thought it was for the district attorney. Once I had booked the job, I think about a week before when they sent the script to me, they’re like, ‘You’re going to be playing the character Jordan.’ Even though she been played by two other girls, they didn’t want me to go in and try to emulate how the other girls did their performances. They just wanted me make it my own, and do my own thing.  I think that helped. I didn’t really know anything about the character at all, and it was kind of hard at the time to see online other people’s performances. So, I was forced to make the character my own.”

JORDAN’S INSIDE JOB TO TAKE DOWN SIDWELL

Recently, Jordan went back to using her undercover skills to infiltrate Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) organization and get the dirt on his crimes. As she explained her character’s current plight, “Jordan decided to take it upon herself to go undercover to get this bad guy Sidwell, who’s come into town. So I resign from my position, and now my character has been working for him undercover, but he’s a very wealthy man. So my character, she was enjoying that life. She’s all of a sudden walking around with her fancy bags and her cars, but she’s still undercover. Now, Jordan was in a big car accident and now her face is all scarred.” Viewers need to stay tuned-in to GH to see what happens next!

Watch the full conversation with Tanisha on her visit to the Soapy podcast below.

Now weigh-in, do you think Jordan will eventually get the goods on Sidwell, or is she useless in this situation? Will she wind up needing Sidwell to get her to some specialist to help remove the scars on her face? What do you think about Tanisha’s process to becoming the recast Jordan? Let us know in the comment section below.

Published

The Monday, May 18 episode of General Hospital brought with it a startling discovery, a new reality for one surgeon, a new cop on the scene, and a granddaughter determined to protect her grandmother.

First, Laura (Genie Francis) tells Mac (John J. York) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that Anna (Finola Hughes) is in worse trouble than she was previously after she had Kevin to check on her while he was in Europe. They head out to update Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner).

Meanwhile, Emma gets upset over Anna during a discussion with Felicia and breaks Anna’s favorite coffee cup. Emma is overcome with sadness and cries, trying to figure out how she is supposed to be so happy with Gio (Giovanni Mazza), while Anna is locked away somewhere against her own will.

BAD NEWS FOR EMMA

Laura and Mac arrive to talk with Emma and Felicia, and reveal how Anna escaped and made it to the border, but she was now in the custody of the French authorities and they are transferring her to a long term mental illness facility, which freaks out Emma just as Gio arrives. Emma runs into his arms. Laura says at this point, Anna needs a strong advocate and she will make a call on her behalf. (But to who?)

At the Metro Court pool, Curtis (Donnell Turner) is arrested by Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) after throwing a punch at Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson). Joe takes Curtis to the station where Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) tells Fitzgerald to remove Curtis’ handcuffs. Now inside the interrogation room, Curtis explains that he believes Isaiah left he and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) dead at the side of the road the night of the accident and provoked him.

BROKEN HAND, BROKEN MAN

Curtis just wants to put it all behind him and says he will pay for Isaiah’s medical bills, but Dante informs him, he is trouble and he needs to call a lawyer. So, he calls Jordan. Meanwhile, Isaiah gets looked at while at General Hospital, and his hand is messed up. He comes to learn he will need multiple surgeries not only for broken bones but two tendons were severed in the process. Isaiah realizes his surgical days are numbered possibility forever, if not for a very long time.

JOSSLYN FINDS ANNA’S MESSAGE

While being held hostage, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) tries again to convince Cassius (Ryan Paevey) to set her free. That leads into the two playing cards and Cassius asking Josslyn how she got into the WSB. Josslyn admits her boyfriend was murdered and she killed the person who was the culprit for retribution. She says she put together all the pieces that he did the crime, and now this line of work gives her purpose.

In the shocking final moments, after Cassius leaves for the night, Josslyn heads to the cot in the other part of the holding room and sees a hand-carved message on the wall from Anna that she was there and help captive on October 31, 2025.  We fade to black.

So what did you think of the concern Emma showed for Anna, and the performance of Braedyn Bruner? What are your very initial impressions of Jonathan Bennett as Joe Fitzgerald? Which character is annoying you more in the story …  Curtis, Jordan, Portia or Isaiah? Weigh-in via the comment section.
