GENERAL HOSPITAL: Will Michael Learning The Truth Of Willow’s Health Condition, Push Her Further Into TJ’s Arms?
So, who are you rooting for … Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) with Michael (Chad Duell) or Willow with TJ (Tajh Bellow)? That seems to be part of the set-up as some inroads are made in their story this week on General Hospital.
For months, Willow has been hiding from Michael that she has Leukemia. Now, in the latest promo for the action this week on the ABC daytime drama series, Terry (Cassandra James) has bad news for the expectant mom – her Leukemia has progressed to Stage Four.
Supporting her as a good friend through her health and pregnancy ordeal has been Dr. TJ Ashford, but he has clearly been developing feelings for Willow. Meanwhile, Michael has been busy seeking revenge on Sonny (Maurice Benard) and been kept in the dark. Viewers are left wondering, where will this all lead?
If Michael learns the truth of Willow’s leukemia battle, will it bring them closer together … or will he be more spurned by the fact that she did not tell him the truth to begin with? Check out the preview below.
Now, let us know, would you like to see Willow in a relationship with TJ, or do you hope she stays with Michael? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
No- Michael and Willow are on love, she didn’t even answer Tj’s text. He’s way overstepped as her doctor, and going behind her back to Britt to be at her appointment was too much. It was clear Willow didn’t have a choice. Willow just told Michael she wanted him at the appointment last night, so how do they keep having him miss them? Michael and Willow are in love, are best friends, and parents together in a committed relationship, but this writing team acts like they aren’t sleeping together EVERY night and can only talk where they are interrupted. This whole storyline was a stretch and hope it’s wrapped up this week. Michael has ALWAYS been Willow’s support even when they were friends, it makes no sense she wouldn’t tell him. Willow hasn’t even reciprocated to Tj, all her fears are still there and Michael will be the only one to help her.
I get that you love Marshmillow but TJ is not the bad guy here. Michael, who is obsessed with his step-Daddy’s love life, is. Willow felt Michael was unapproachable, and Michael is emotionally challenged so he couldn’t see she was hurting.
Just one little comment, if I may, Elsie Grace. TJ is a close friend, between a rock and a hard place. He acted as any caring friend would.
I agree with you C, my best friend is a girl and over the years there would be speculation about our “Friendship” but we always supported each other and ignored the outside noise.
Hi, my Timmmy!! Yes, absolutely–Other than my husband being my “bestest” friend, I have a male best friend, as well.—since pre-school.
Happy Thanksgiving❤️
Happy Thanksgiving to you, your family and your best friend!
Willow & Michael are a solid couple who trust each other, and so are TJ & molly, there’s not gonna be any “TreeJ” affair, LOL
Michael, Michael, Michael!!
This “conflict” is so lame! First, how are we supposed to care when Molly is never on. It’s not like they’ve shown them having any problems. So why would TJ suddenly care more about his friend than his wife? The same goes for Willow. She loves Michael. Willow has always been written as the moral one in the group. Why she should suddenly cheat on Michael with a married man is beyond the pale now.
If the writers don’t have more or better stories that make sense for these characters, send them into the attic for a while.
OR, send the writers into the attic until they come up with brighter ideas.
Spot on! The writers have nothing to do for TJ so they are spinning this ridiculous story in the writing room to give the actor some work.
willow and Michael are boooooooriiiing and if she stays with him she will die, all of Michael “love”. end up dead. he’s a curse, and he’s boring even when he tries being all tuff with Sonny. Willow run as far as you can or you will die.
Agreed. Part of it is the writers fault, the other is on Duell. Willow was sweet with Chase but snoozeville with Michael. Duell kind of clicked with Sofia Mattson but most of Michael’s other romantic interests (Abby, Kiki, Sabrina) just fizzled.
Michael is the most “legacy-ish” character on the show. How is the grandson of Alan & Monica Quartermaine and Bobbie Spencer so boring? Problem is you can’t kill Michael off.
At this point, it’s tough to care about what happens to Willow. Monica, Alexis, Ava and Danny all dealt with cancer and the audience cared, despite knowing they’d survive. I continue to watch the scenes for other characters (TJ, Britt, Terry).
Chad Duell is Chad Dull! He is handsome and has some acting skills but he just has no edge to make him more than a one trick pony. Then you pair him with a talent such as the actress who plays Willow and he falters. When Chad was off and Robert Newman filled in, I liked his portrayal much better. BTW, Robert would be a good Morgan recast!
Oh, my T—Michael handsome? Noooo!! LOL– I must disagree—something which I don’t enjoy doing.
From a female point of view: here it is….small chin,
.puppy eyes that are too big for his face, and hair that looks perpetually unwashed..
However, sometimes looks do not matter if a guy displays a great personality and sensuality. He does not have a sexy bone in his body–pardon the pun. I know, I’m a naughty girl. I beg everyone’s forgiveness.❤️
Thank you Timmy for your well wishes—we survived covid and so much more–still standing, my friend.
Wow, C, I believe you! How long was THAT built up inside you? Michael is not manly, I agree. He is a step above Spinelli but many steps below Justin Hartley!
And yes, blessed beyond words, my family and friends all made it through the “Covid Years!
LOL, T—nope, it has not been inside of me because it’s not the first time I’ve made my feelings for Michael known. I do not like him and I cannot see him as an interesting anything. No charisma!!
Spinelli? Well, he is appealing and interesting; therefore the “whimpiness” fades away for me. I enjoy this character very much. As I said, looks aren’t everything. Michael, on the other hand, is just there.
Ciao❤️
I could see him as Morgan if he dropped the Ralph Macchio accent. That just doesn’t fit the character of either Corinthos brother.
On the other horn… I’m still not convinced that the Morgan recast isn’t already in place… just with the usual “memory issues” & plastic surgery typical of GH recasts. Talking about Dex, of course.
When Duell’s playing Michael, I see him as the son of Sean Kanan’s AJ. When Adamson is playing Michael, I see him as the son of Billy Warllock’s AJ.
Still not convinced Morgan is due back for a while. They’re definitely leaning towards Dex and Joss hitting the sheets which rules him out as Morgan (but leaves open the door to Dex as AJ’s long lost son).
Hmmm–I like it, DG Steve–Dex as AJ’s son…And, yes, it looks like he and Joss will become an item, albeit he is sooo puny—not into tiny guys. Just sayin’. Poor Cam!!
OG Steve
There have been rumors of Dex being a son Sonny never knew about. Makes sense of why Dex is so loyal to him.
Dex is a wooden boy toy soldier! I hope that isnt Morgan!
We all know where this is going. There will be some sort of medical research that says Willow can be healed through blood, bone marrow, or stem cells. Enter Saint Nina The All Benevolent Hero & Savior.
/end severe Satanic sarcasm mode, but you only wish I was kidding. We all know they will do anything to make the Parasite look good.
Yes, she’ll be singing a different song then about her new-found daughter.Gosh, how will we ever get rid of Nina now? Can’t stand her, funny, I didn’t mind her with “Mike” but her cutesy way with Sonny makes me crazy!
Sonny really should pay attention to what Michael told him today. Nina is “poison” and she’s ruined his life. Unfortunately I think she’s planted the seeds of jealousy inside Michael’s head and he looked like he was about to completely misinterpret what he walked in on at the hospital. Hopefully he will think about his own words to his father and see that she’s running the same scam on him.
Satan
Really surprised at Michael’s reaction to Nina’s accusation. What I really loved was Willow’s answer to Nina’s apology. Hopefully, Sonny will see how destructive she can be.i liked Nina when she married Valentin but she’s turned into a real bitch!
Oh Violet, here is the rare case when we disagree. While I hate wasting any poor gal on Sonny, I particularly hate the Nina pairing. But Ms. Watros does remarkably well in being convincingly in love with that wet blanket. I still like Nina while I find Willow’s complete abdication of her own opinions and character to the dreadful Michael to be a major error on the writers’ part. She used to be bright and reasonable; now she’s as intolerable as her boyfriend…and as joyless. I don’t defend Nina’s concealing of Sonny all those months…but Michael’s treatment of Sonny, Chase, and even Ned isn’t much better. My question is…how long will Carly wait to reveal Nina’s motherhood and will it cause trouble for her and Droop, since she lied to his face. What do you think?
Soaphound
I’m not quite sure what you are referring to about not agreeing, because I think I DO agree with all the points you’ve made except Nina is getting on my last nerve with her constant gossiping, starting rumors about Willow and E.J and insinuating herself into everyone’s lives which in a way makes sense seeing as she wants to be in every aspect of Sonny’s life.I know what you mean about Willow and I think it’s just her desire to “stand by her man” but the end result does not look good on her.
I love Nina! Possibly it’s because Cynthia Watros’s charm, innate kindness and terrific sense of humor comes through her character. I’ll take Nina over that sanctimonious and hypocritical Carly any day.
I’m with you on this, Harry. I don’t get why Nina bothers so many viewers but to each their own. I think Cynthia Watros does something miraculous — she makes you believe she really loves Sonny. A real feat since Mr. Corinthos is such a polarizing character. And don’t get me started on Carly. She reminds me of an old joke someone made about a famous diva: “Were she to collide with a Mack truck, it’s the truck that would need your sympathy.”
Harry…I like Nina, too. Especially “Mike” and her in Nixon Falls. Now in Port Charles I think she is trying to accommodate living around his family and his real “career,” while keeping independent of it. And reboot her own career ambitions. But I think it’s best she keeps out of his family stuff, and just keep supportive.
Harry…As a P.S. I miss Phyliss and Lenny from Nixon Falls as well. Liked their pub. Wish they could at least have more of Phyliss in Port Charles. She seems to have a steadying affect on both Nina and Sonny/Mike.
Nina was alright back when she was with Val the Bastard & she thought Sasha was her daughter. And OK… she might be entitled to “lose it” a little when she found out that was all a lie….. but she went after the people that had nothing to do with that lie. And since the Tricky Dick Nixon Falls storyline, she’s just been over the top malicious & spiteful to everybody, and it amounts to Frank Valentini trolling the audience, because he knows nobody likes this ridiculous pairing with Sonny, her wholesale theft of Carly’s entire life, and this whole idea of her being Willow’s mother, which literally came out of nowhere, and is inevitably meant to paint her as the “town hero” for saving poor Willow’s life.
If they put her back with Val and she went back to running her own business, rather than stealing Carly’s, she would be tolerable again.
Oh, Satan—-no sooner than Willow was diagnosed with cancer, I proposed just that. Nina will be the heroine here. HURRAH!! Please to not curse me to Hell!!
And, Carly will pay the consequences for keeping the fact that Nina is Willow’s mother a secret!! YES!! Bring Carly down, the wretch!! LOL
Aside—-did you happen to see the Hook’s jawline under that hood? Looks very masculine and squarish to me.
Carly’s got more reasons for not telling Nina then just out of spite for the destruction Nina has wrought on her life (personal & business, both)
For one thing, it was Harmony’s dying wish that Carly not tell Willow. Now of course you could debate whether or not Carly owed that confidentiality to a woman who had literally just drugged her, locked her in a trunk, and intended to kill her. Maybe Carly doesn’t want to take a chance of Harmony’s ghost showing up. We all know ghosts do make occasional appearances in Port Charles, after all.
Beyond that, shortly after Harmony’s death, Willow actually said SHE didn’t want to know who her birth mother was. Naturally, this was long before she had any idea that bone marrow donations might be a helpful thing.
Knowing Carly, once she knows the reality of Willow’s health situation, she might summon her inner Spencer and come up with a way for Nina to be a bone marrow donor without disclosing that she’s been aware of certain facts since right before Harmony came to Hell. Just ask yourself “What Would Uncle Luke Do??”
You are right, of course, Satan. You always manage to make more sense than I, albeit we do come to the same conclusion more often than not.
In this case, it would be the right thing to do. Yet, Carly has no clue what’s right or wrong, especially when she allows hate to take the wheel and drive herself and others to destruction.
Also, I don’t think it’s fair for neither Nina nor Willow not to know each other’s true identity. Carly is not God ( far from it) and she should not take it upon herself to make such an impactful decision.
I always try to out myself in someone else’s shoes ( shoes again—I must have a fetish). It’s a soap, and the plot thickens. But, I won’t be a hypocrite—I hope Carly is shunned, tarred and feathered. Not very Christian of me, but if anyone understands my disdain, it is Thee!! Yes??
Ciao❤️
I’m rooting for neither Michael nor T. J… Michael is a joyless narcissist who sucks the life out of all the women he’s ever dated. And T. J. is sweet but will be loyal to Molly. This story is no doubt just a catalyst to finding out Willow’s true maternity and I AM SO BORED with “I didn’t tell you the truth because:
(A) I didn’t want you to worry.
(B) I meant to tell you.
(C) I tried to tell you but the phone rang.
(D) I thought I’d get better.
(E) I had to wash my hair.
(F) It was easier to tell a handsome stranger.”
Enough already! Michael will have his usual hissy fit, make it all about himself, and then blame Nina, Sonny, Chase, or any and all of the above. Let’s move on.
Well said, Soaphound! Michael and Willow are about as exciting as a margarine sandwich made of Wonder Bread. Speaking of wonder, the Wonder Kid is so utterly clueless when it comes to reading Willow. Clearly, she is in a state of distress- even Stevie Wonder would be able to see that! But of course this is the guy who didn’t know that Drew sharing insider information about a potential corporate merger with Carly would be considered insider training. He didn’t know until Ned (whose business savvy is vastly superior to Michael’s) told him. I swear, Michael and Drew seem to starring in an adaptation of Dumber and Dumber. But back to Willow and Michael. They are a terrible, horrible couple devoid of life and chemistry. Willow used to have spirit, a personality of her own but since she hooked up with Michael, she has turned into a listless Stepford Wife. Michael is so consumed with anger over his step Daddy’s relationship with Nina, that he is blind to the fact that his significant other is suffering. There’s a strong emotional connection between TJ and Willow that doesn’t exist between Willow and Michael. I say yes.
LOL, Harry! I knew Drip, I mean Drew, reminded me of someone: Jeff Daniels in DUMB AND DUMBER! And that horrible Michael is a perfect match, though Michael isn’t technically dumb, I suppose. Clueless is more like it. And hateful. And spiteful. And narcissistic. Shall I go on? And just what exactly is this great business acumen he miraculously possesses? I don’t recall his going to college. Just beginner’s luck, I guess. I’m with Ned on that score; Michael Quartermaine/Corinthos/Quartermaine/Corinthos needs to go!
Yup—everything you said is sacrosanct, Soaphound..
I trully abhor mother and son—so full of themselves– Michael and Carly can do no wrong. They are the epitome of all that’s righteous. Not!! Do as I say and not as I do—entitled to the extreme.
I know Nina is no saint and many don’t like her, but, at least, she is trying ( except the Sonny thing…gross and barf)—
-Willow is no angel either—I used to like her a lot more before the Chase/Sasha debacle—now, Willow displays a sharp tongue and a good amount of odium towards Nina—good people do not do that, regardless. She show a vestige of respect for her elders.
Nonetheless, this is a perfectly staged, soapy ploy about to climax.
Nina and Willow will inevitably discover their relationship by pure, positive force of nature.
Willow loves Michael she and TJ are just Friends. SHE AND MICHAEL BELONG TOGATHER THEY ARE THE LOVE OF EACH OTHER LIVES Michael will be by her side all the way.
Michael is a drip! Willow would be better with Chase! Him and Brook Lynn just dont cut it as a couple! Dr. “Aunt Stella”, forget it!
LOL Willow cheated on Chase with Michael. No Chase fan should want a redux of that. Chase actually has self-respect. He deserves better. Chase/Brook Lynn have the fiery chemistry Chase/Willow didn’t. They’ve always had more chemistry. They’re a hot, fun couple. Chalynn hits in a way Chillow couldn’t.
Chase made Willow interesting. With Chase and Brook Lynn, they are both interesting. Their dynamic is so good. Willow deserves Michael at this point. Let them be boring together. Leave Chase out of it.
Well said, Kat. Can you imagine the level of a mind that would cheat on Chase? Besides T. J. and Terry as Willow’s doctors, they need Kevin in there also. Girl’s elevator doesn’t go to the top!
Alright, what’s with the Michael bashing??? The guy.has every right to be angry with Sonny, for what he did to Carly and his family. Also, he sorta sided with “Saint Nina” at the court trial. Is he going over board in his vendetta against his father, hell yeah! Should Sonny’s family, including Jocelyn welcome Nina with open arms, hell no!! No couple is more sickening than Sonny & Nina! I don’t see the chemistry.
Lew S
Some of the points you make are good ones, but they have made the character he was even worse. He was always critical of his Corinthos family, i.e Morgan, and I think he feels more like a “Q” . We didn’t see him being all negative or judgemental with his mother when she was more than ready to jump into bed with Jason after Sonny has been gone only a few short weeks, without anyone going out of their way to find Sonny. This is a two sided story and you are right about Sonny and Nina , they make most of us sick, especially the way she hangs all over him, yuk!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
