General Hospital's Laura Wright Chats On Roger Howarth, Brandon Barash & The Nurses' Ball!

On-Air On-Soaps caught with Daytime Emmy winner, Laura Wright (Carly) at the General Hospital 50th anniversary cast photo shoot, and what a day and photo shoot that was featuring many current and returning favorites!
Following the shoot, Laura shared her thoughts with us on some of the hottest topics for GH fans these days including: the status of two of her favorite on-screen guys, Roger Howarth (Todd) and Brandon Barash (Johnny), her sexy new hair-do, how Carly will figure into the Nurses’ Ball, and what is it like for her being part of the legendary General Hospital, as it heads towards its 50th anniversary in just a few weeks! Here’s what Laura had to say below!
What did you think when you heard that Roger Howarth, who was playing your on-screen love interest, had to temporarily suspend playing Todd on GH due to the legal issues between ABC and General Hospital, and Prospect Park? As it stands now, Roger will begin taping new episodes of One Life to Live starting next week (for the next four weeks), before he is slated to return to GH. How this will all ultimately work out, we still don’t know.
LAURA: Of course I was like, “Oh no!” But honestly, I just hope for everyone it turns out the way it should be. I do. I really hope everyone gets what they want – and that means all parties. I know what I want. I hope Roger comes back to GH. I love working with Roger. I love the Todd and Carly dynamic and Roger’s funny. And on the air show the other day, he and Robin Mattson as Heather, were so funny! (Laughs)
Then came the news that your former on-screen flame, Brandon Barash is leaving GH. What are your thoughts on that?

LAURA: He is one of my neighbors – he is two dressing rooms down from me. I am super sad, because there was always fun stuff to play with Johnny and Carly. But, Brandon made his choice to leave.
You have a very sexy new shorter hair-do! Did you just decide one day you wanted to cut your hair and have to run it by the powers-that-be at GH? Clearly, that big scene between AJ (Sean Kanan) and Carly was the turning point a la the scissors on the air show! (Laughs)
LAURA: In October, I was at an event where our executive producer Frank Valentini and head writer Ron Carlivati were also there. I said to them, “What do you think about me cutting my hair?” I had a picture of me with short hair from long time ago and I said, “Like this!” Frank said, “Well, we do have a lot of women with long hair on the show.” Then Ron said, “I bet I can write it in!” And that is how it happened. When it gotten written into the show, as you saw, it was a major scene, so then I couldn’t back out of it, even if I wanted to do. I ended up cutting my finger in that scene! It was kind of crazy, but fun.
We are counting down to the biggest GH celebration of them all, when General Hospital celebrates its 50th anniversary in April. You play probably the best female character on daytime in Carly. What do you think about being the actress who plays this integral role on the canvas, in an iconic series that is about to celebrate this incredible milestone?

LAURA: I am still shocked and stunned! I am the luckiest person in the world. I started my career going on 22 years ago on a little-show-that-could called, Loving. Then, I was on a show that was on 75 years, Guiding Light. Now I am on this show, General Hospital as it turns 50! Every character I have played is great, and Carly is definitely the icing on the cake. Carly is just a fun character. With every writer and every producer I have been able to work with as far as Carly, it is so fun. Right when I think Carly is getting a little to predictable, or where I think, “Wow. She is being awful nice and good,” something will happen and the games start being played. That is the little thing that makes Carly … Carly!
The big question: Will Carly be a major part of the upcoming Nurses’ Ball?
LAURA: Yes, stuff happens at the Nurses’ Ball with Carly and one other person. It gets a little messy, I will say that. It gets messy! (Laughs)
I know you are a big soap opera fan, too! What has it been like being part of the 50th, and seeing these legendary performers all returning from the GH heyday to be part of the on-screen celebration?
LAURA: Are you kidding? Frisco (Jack Wagner) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) … I love it. Anna is here, and I know Finola Hughes has been here for awhile, but I am still in shock about that every day. Lucy! Lynn Herring works her butt off! She is fantastic and she sells it. What she has been doing with the Nurses’ Ball … is amazing!

Jax is the best thing that had ever happened to Carly but… I think Jax is too good for Carly. She’s a “mess”, as Todd had said. Todd is more compatible with Carly than any other males on the canvas. I hope they will take the TARLY pairing further.

I know what goes down at the nurses ball with Carly and that one other person…..Elizabeth! Liz will confront Carly for kissing A.J. and will toss her drink in her face! Its what seems the most likely possibilty from what Laura hinted at.
Love Carly with Todd. R.H. and his one liners make me chuckle…and i need that on some of my recent gloomy days. Im a big fan. As for Brandon we always hate to see a favorite leave, but we wish them well for whatever good choices they make for their career, and then we move on.
We love Carly and Todd together too. This couple will go far!

I think Jax and Brenda are married and they come back to town and tell Carly and Sonny…so Carly’s ‘messy’ is Brenda…
The messy could be Dr.O and Britt pulling a ‘Carrie’ prank on Sabrina at the nurses ball with Carly somehow caught in it but now with Brenda returning its more likely what you said: Brenda telling Sonny and Carly she and the Jax man are hitched.
It sounds like when she tweeted they would be back, she didn’t actually know. In this interview her statement was less sure, she said she hopes RH would be back. I want the three characters on OLTL, but I understand the actors may not want to switch jobs. I am fine with recasting if it needs to happen.
Agree – Don’t care much for Carly & Todd. Like her better with Johnny or Jaxs. Jaxs the most!
I agree with you, I am already sick of Todd and Carly, I loved her with Johnny I thought he was more of a bad guy than Todd. Todd needs to go back to OLTL where he belongs.

She made some idiotic and insensitive comments. Carly and Todd have known each other for 2 hot minutes and Laura Wright says that Carly is the great love of Todd’s life? Has she ever seen Blair with Todd? Now, that was a love story of two star crossed lovers who really understood each other. Carly is shallow, egotistical and immature. I mean, here’s a middle aged woman who calls all the men in her life her BOYFRIENDS! If anyone knows anything about Todd, they would know he would never ever be anyone’s boyfriend.
@Harry. Where did LW said Carly is the great love of Todd’s life, in this article? You obviously just want to throw unfound accusation because you can’t handle the fact that Carly IS a better love interest for Todd than your favorite Blair.
Hope there’s more Carly/AJ scenes coming up. That’s the couple the show should be featuring because there’s so much history to work with.
Would be something if Carly got pregnant by A.J. again.
It would be nice but I do think the actor who plays A.J. is not right for the part, they need someone more into the character. He is one of those actors who does not bring any charisma to the part and I always feel like he is acting the part without any feeling. Most of the times when watching I am in the show when watching most of the characters on GH but when this A.J. comes on I am back in front of the TV watching an actor do his best. I am not saying he is not a good actor because I have seen him in other roles, I just do not think he has embraced this role.
While I do like the sexual tension between Todd and Carly, but it makes me wonder just how far they can take these two as a couple.
Anyway, I like the idea of AJ and Carly too because they could be like THE HONEYMOONERS with that love/hate dynamic.
I agree with you. Both pairings kinda reminds me of the old love/hate relationship Monica and Alan had for years. Then there are times id like to see A.J. paired with Dr. Brit and have them scheme against Tracy and id love to see Tracy fight back. Oh, the possibilities!!!
There is a great potential with Todd and Carly pairing. Though, I would love to see AJ throwing into the mix for our comic relief. Love Carly with OJ and Tad the other day. The trio scene at metro court was hillarious.
Not interested in RH, he still doesn’t fit on GH for me. I see Todd on OLTL.
My interest is in Robin a GH VET! I am waiting for Robin to come back and reunite with Patrick and Emma.I want to see them together as a family. Robin deserves to be happy. I don’t like seeing the head writer using Robin and her family with heavy handed writing telling me I am going to love this student nurse. Sorry i don’t love her and I resent characters twisted and rewritten to prop a nurse. Let the character develop on their own not some heavy handed writing to make the doctor look so bad that viewers want the other nurse because she is nice to Emma. Robin suffered enough and Robin went through hell to have Emma and Emma needs her mother Robin not some nurse who is a pet of the head writer. They did this with Kate and I canot stand Kate and Sonny looks stupid just like Patrick does now. They need to work with Kimberly to use her even part time. They work with others like the OLTL people well this is GH and Robin is a GH Vet.That is how I feel. I need to see Robin/Robert back on GH. I hate how the dropped the story, its insulting.
There is not much they can do with Robins story unless K.M. is persuaded back like you say. Not showing her for weeks is terrible but the actress is doing other things? and she only agreed to return for guest appearances when her time permits it. But in the meantime it would be a mistake to leave Patrick without a story. I feel Patrick will fall in love with Sabrina and on their wedding day Robin will finally show up. But will it be the real Robin or a lookalike imposter Dr. Brit hires to break up Patrick and Sabrina. This would allow Kimberly to return part time if she was the imposter but if she would come back full time then she could be the real Robin. Thats how id work things out if i had anything to say about it. I know it might sound dumb the way i suggested but i cant think of a better way for now knowing K.M. situation with the show. I know you said you dont like Kate but what about Connie?lol But you never know about Robin and Robert. He could always bring Robin back during the nurses ball and that would be a much welcome suprise for both you and me.
So tired of people saying Kimberly isn’t available. Kimberly has been available and it was others in the story who weren’t like TG ..TR said that is why Robert found Robin . FH was directing and then IB was doing Broadway. They stalled story for SBu unexpected leaving and having to wrap things up. Now again for OLTL and PP. Patrick could have had many stories and didn’t need another women for story. Robin and Patrick had that many times and with Leyla and Lisa now with Sabrina and Britt which is Leyla and Lisa2. Patrick could have had drug story and not being able to get over it instead of a drug addiction that lasted 2 weeks. He could have been used by Britt who knew where Robin was all the time. They didn;t need Kimberly for that either. He doesn’t need (or Emma for that matter) to be in a high school story and sorry but no makeover makes a person more adult nor does someone speaking up to Pip. How juvenile. I said recurring and they did it with OLTL people. FV mentioned working with Kimberly to do GH and yet they had to stall for the PP and OLTL people Robin is a GH vet and deserved to have her story done. No one knows if Jaosn Thompson has plans to leave. Maybe he like others isn’t really staying when his contract is up. He had signed before FV took over. He might want out like other GH characters. And just because JT said he is staying doesn’t mean he is. Look at BB and JMB who said they were staying. FV won’t let them say the truth to let story out.I don’t want Robins child with another women. All GH mothers have their children and Robin is alive and deserves her child. Emma has a mommy Robin.Those are my feelings
I don’t like Kate or Connie because just like Sabrina, she was propped and shoved EVERYDAY down my throat. I don’t drink head writers kool aid and I resent Patrick being rewritten to prop a story like Sonny was to prop Kate/Connie.
AND a BIG NO to Patrick near the child nurse with any marriage. Sorry but Robin is alive and she deserves her husband and child. Robin should have gotten her HEA with Patrck and Emma on her birthday trips. If JT was staying for a long time then he could have come back as another character. Robin is the GHH legacy and deserved better as did viewers like myself who grew up with her. There is no way Patrick would be with anyone like that just because RC made Britt so evil so people would like his pet Sabrina and used everything he could to hand over Robin’s life to a newbie pet studet nurse of the head writer.
I agree, what a great story if Sabrina walked into the Nurse’s Ball after having a great makeover by Elizabeth and then finding that Patrick is drawn to the new Sabrina until at the end of the Nurse’s Ball Robin walks in and see’s them then walks away disgusted and files for divorce and full custody of Emma, what a great story that would make and it need only be short visits by Kimberly while the divorce is in progress.
I love Robin but I respect the actress’s decision to branch out. It isn’t the storyline I would have hoped for, but thankfully FV & RC were able to convince KMC to stay on rather than killing the character or recasting. I know that Patrick & Robin are end game and will be patient. I know that Sabrina will not replace Robin ans don’t see her and Patrick as a couple. Love Laura as Carly and can’t wait for RW’s return. What about ME and KA? I hope they get what they want & are able to work where they want. 😉

well considering that Kimberly McCullough can’t commit to GH long term really screws up Patrick’s love life!! I actually quite like Sabrina and Patrick together and at least she wants to stick with the show.
I havent heared this Cathy say one positive thing about the show which is doing positive things to stay on the air and the ratings prove it. I may not like or dislike everything but im still grateful GH is still with us and we have FV and RC to thank for that. And if they were so bad then why do many of us fans feel the show is sooo goood? and Ces i agree with your response.

There’s nothing that can be done unless Kim decides to come back. I don’t like the results, despite respecting her choice-I think she’s holding GH hostage to a degree, but it MUST be her choice to return

I agree with much you say…i do like Robin with Patrick. Its not going to happen my way. Its only a suggestion. As for K.M. i only repeat what ive read and that doesnt always mean i believe it. No matter what i like or dislike i have no control over the story, the people behind the scenes or the actors decision to stay or quit. I was only making harmless suggestions and wasnt in total disagreement with you. I almost feel like your taking your anger about the show out on me. I hope thats not the case. I try to respect all opinions.

I see in Carly a little bit of that love you one minute/hate you the next that Blair felt for Todd, and i feel Todd sees that in Carly and thats what attracts him to her…a replication of his first love Blair whom he cant have at the moment because like Carly shes in denial that she cant get him out of her system no matter how hard she tries and feels about him at the moment.
I agree 100%. Johnny is gone and i dont think Jax is returning full time. Jax might have moved on with Brenda and Carly should move on too—with Todd! You can tell when Carly is in love with Todd when they are in scenes together but she is afraid to admit it because of his lies-but then shes never always been a saint herself.
Carly does not belong with Todd or vice versa. Their personalities would kill each other. No good. They need to be challenged by people who make them better people. Jax does that for Carly, CarJax are soulmates. I’m glad Jax is coming back to “get messy” with her, and I hope it leads to a CarJax reunion.
Blair does that for Todd, TnB are soulmates. Kassie and Roger’s chemistry is off the charts and I can’t wait to see them playing that chemistry up again on the show that made them a supercouple for the ages, so please lets get the right pairings back the way they should be.
I’m SO glad Roger chose to come back to OLTL, where Todd belongs… with the woman who is his ONE true love Blair, THEIR kids, HIS sister and the rest of his FAMILY. I hope Roger/Todd stays on OL and never comes back to GH (and by the sound of it, LW isn’t even sure he’ll be back to GH) 😉
Blair is not a better person that brings Todd up–think of her relationships with Asa, Max (whom she shot), pushing Tea out of a window–no she didn’t start out as a rapist on the show, but she has also never particularly shown remorse for most of what she has done (unlike Todd–and for that matter many of Todd’s later sins were by Victor (selling Sam, romancing “his” rape vicitm, etc.). I like the dynamic of Todd and Carly being drawn to each other because neither of them is in a position to judge the other, which their “reformers” always were (jax, even Tea at some level, although again, she was mostly involved with todd two). Maybe when people can relax from people judging them they have a chance to grow.
in any cases carly and todd are a hell of a lot funnier than they have been with any other characteres and I like that lightness and that sense of absurdity that they bring to each other.

Roger Howarth is only shooting One Life for four weeks and then he is returning to General Hospital according to Erika Slezak (Viki Lord). Mr. Howarth wants to stay on General Hospital. He’s doing the old show a favor by helping them launch but he is not staying long.
Todd works better on General Hospital. He has a shot at redemption. In Llanview many people still see him as the guy who raped Marty Saybrooke. In Port Charles he’s got a media empire, a new woman, the only one of his kids that speaks to him, and a shot a new life with new challenges. If anything, One Life should bring back Victor Lord, Jr. whether he’s played by Trevor St. John or a recast. Allow him to head the Manning family in Llanview whilst Todd is in Port Charles.
Well you guys will get to know that character of Vic Jr real well when he ((RH)) goes back to GH
The entire cast of OLTL is only shooting for 4 weeks! That is the schedule – 4/5 weeks shooting 4/5 week break while AMC shoots. People are in for a shock if they think Roger is staying on GH as TM. He is only returning briefly to finish up his ABC contract.
Thank you Sue!! Since RH wants to go back to GH and Good riddance they can have him however they will not get TM.
Not to sound argumentative but the deal has already been made between Prospect Park and ABC, confirmed by Roger Howarth’s management team. He will film four weeks only at One Life to Live and then return to General Hospital as Todd Manning.

Best female in daytime? Sorry, Carly doesn’t even make the top ten. Carly’s best writing happened with SJB in the role and that was a long, long time ago.

i think the best stories for Carly were when Tamara Braun was in the role. A softer, more complex character came forward with Tamara. She had great partners and stories with Zander, Rick, Sonny and Jax ! Jax and Carly during Tamara’s run was one of the best couples to ever hit POrt Charles…

As much as I loved Sonny and Carly together I believe the two have grown maturally and great apart. Gonna miss Johnny but I see portential between Carly and Todd. Michael can u please see if u can get an interview with Roger is publicity shy but we love him esp me I love Carly and Todd they are both schemers and yesterday it proved to me Carly when she told Starr she wanted to move on from Todd she couldn’t deny that she loved him and she didn’t say she hated him either. Come on get real please, as a couple they would be just awful mark my words, you don’t want to see that on screen, seeing them bicker and fight is fun seeing sexing up and playing loving angst would be boring and awkward. End of story.

Will GHs 50th air April 1? The recent episode interupted by ABC to announce the new Pope aired the next day so i wondered if that will delay the 50th anniversary by one day?

Laura Wright is my favorite female actress on GH with a close second in Kirsten Storms! I love the character of Carly… especially since Laura has been playing her! I so wish she would get back with Jax… but if not Jax I am starting to really like the pairing of Carly and Todd… only if it is Roger Howarth or possibly if it were Trevor St John… if they can’t have RH back and TSJ doesn’t go back to OLTL. I had always hoped that SB would some be changed over to Jason Quartermaine again and he could have ended up with Laura’s Carly… because if she ever had to lose her best friend in Jason Morgan I had hoped she could be Jason Q’s love interest. I love their chemistry!
I am happy she has stuff to do with the Nurses Ball… she should since it is in her hotel. Carly is one of the characters that can play with all of the characters at any given point. It’s fun to hear who she loves having back from the day.
It would be great if you Michael could do some video interviews with all or many of the GH actors to get there take on being on GH and celebrating the 50th. Not unlike what Y&R is doing for their anniversary! You could still get them…right? ABC or Soapnet missed the boat by not having you do some fun clips with the cast!
I like Laura Wright/Carly with Roger Howarth/Todd, to me they have great chemistry and while i like Trevor St John as Todd too to write that he will be good with Laura/Carly is kind of ridiculous since we never saw them together on-screen..please..if one day Trevor comes on GH and interact with Laura we will see if they work together but since then you just DON’T KNOW.
How is Carly the best female character on TV? She’s been fast-forward material for the better part of the past seven years.
I am wondering because there still has been no word about KA and ME coming onto OLTL or returning to GH. Really nothing for sure that RH is returning to GH either, well at least not as the characters they are portraying now.

Todd Manning belongs on OLTL where his character has been a linchpin for 20 years. All Todd’s meaningful ties & history are back in Llanview. I hope Roger is able to stay on OL, the show that put him on the map, but no matter what, Todd belongs there.

I think Carlys going to have a fight with Elizabeth at the nurses ball over Carlys involvement with A.J. but it would be nice if Todd shows up and with an engagement ring for Carly.

I am excited to see Todd back where he belongs in Llanview. The character of Todd is far more important to OLTL then GH. Keep Laura, Scotty and build GH families back up. Most importantly bring back NED full time

I want Roger and Michael back now. Both shows need them equally but I want them on GH. Laura didn’t tell us nothing we didn’t already know.. They probably don’t know anymore than we do. I read in Soaps In Depth today Kirsten was still waiting to hear from PP and Michael said he wasn’t going to OLTL and everything else was up in the air and Roger only agreed to 4 weeks. The mag. went to print awhile before I read it so who knows what is going on. We will maybe know more Monday when they are suppose to show up for work. If PP isn’t going to use Kirsten but doesn’t want her on GH that is certainly a terrible thing to do to the actress.

I just LOVE Laura Wright!!! She is a class act and so down-to-earth about her love for the show. She really roots for GH and I find that totally refreshing!!! I absolutely LOVE Carly with Todd! The scenes between her, Roger & Sean Kanan were great fun!! I love her with Roger but wow… I also love her chemistry with Sean Kanan!! I just want Roger back on GH full time – he’s just an extraordinary talent and has so much screen presence – love him!!! Love them.
Roger Howarth as Todd Manning belong on OLTL. This whole GH stint has been the most annoying nonsense I’ve ever had the displeasure of witnessing. We got another dead baby lie, Todd keeping Johnny being the killer of his grandchild a secret to cover for that drivel. The Todd Manning that I know and enjoy watching would have never let Johnny get away with that, no matter the cost to himself. And now suddenly in the last few weeks, he and Carly fell madly in love and he can’t live without her. GMAB!

Todd and Carly are boring as all hell. Their time has come and gone. Time to move onto Carly and AJ. They have so much chemistry and potential. I love how much fun they are. Also like that AJ tells Carly how it is and doesn’t kiss her ass 24/7. Those two would set PC on fire Todd need to find his balls and go home. AJ and Carly need to happen. They bring the sass GH really needs!!!

I love LW! She seems so honest and doesn’t try to play to any fanbases. She always comes off as very professional. I can certainly tell why Mr. Fairman enjoys interviewing her.
I adore Todd and Carly together and can’t wait to see more of their story on GH! Roger and Laura have such great chemistry and the characters work. I think they are each other’s best pairing. Plus they just look adorable together.

I don’t see the chemistry in Blair and Todd. KDP looks too old for RH, she must be at least 5 years older if not more. KDP can’t act. Her crying scenes are so fake, those tears are just eye drops which you can tell because they smeared all over her face. KDP can’t hold on her own. Fact is, none of her pairing got raves except with RH. I guess that is because she was riding his tailcoat. RH is a great actor
Carly and Todd are amazing. LW is about the same age range with RH. LW can cry on cue. Carly can hold on her own. Her pairing with Maurice (Sonny) and Jax (Ingo) are great. Both those pairing got lots of fans. But Carly and Todd is the perfect pairing. Both LW and RH got emmy to prove that they are equally talented, no need to ride on anyones tailcoat.
Recent poll has indicated that Tarly pairing has more votes than TB. That speaks volume because Tarly has been together for only a few months while TB got over decades of togetherness.

YEP it is kind of disturbing..isn’t it ? It is ‘stans’ for you..Todd can be with Carly then Blair then Craly then Blair..it is a soap for pete’s sake ! Couples doesn’t stay together forever how boring that would be of course they can come back together then split up and the cycle is endless but it is soaps that’s all.
On Prospect Park’s tweet account @toln several days ago printed that Roger Howarth had signed with them. No 4 week time period was mentioned. Odd phasing for a supposedly temporary arrangement. The possibility of Todd going home, building relationships with his children and his one TRUE love would be breathtaking to watch. We could be spared this sniveling, drooling twerp that the GH Todd has become. I am sorry but Tarly is awkward, contrived and nauseating to watch. And it might be that RH feels the same way.

Todd/Roger belongs in Lanview. Every time he says I love you to Carly it sounds so unbelievable, it’s like Roger is phoning in his scenes. Youtube his hospital scenes w/Blair you will see the difference. FV & RC only want Roger as the town clown and aren’t utilizing this talented actor like they should. Todd needs to go back to Blair & the kids, his character would never had stopped fighting for them.

I love everything about Laura Wright and her portrayal as Carly. Fell in love when she was Cassie on GH, but now love her as Carly on GH. And her cut is very Cassie circa ’04. And it’s cute on her! I cannot wait to see how her character expands within the year.
I LUV Todd!!!! His chemistry is off the charts…with everyone! He is hilarious. His ad-libs are great. Loved him with Starr today! Will miss that relationship. I, too, hope “it” works out for everyone to stay on #GH. That includes Kristen Alderson and Michael Easton. Can’t wait for this whole Prospect Park mess to get worked out.
She had her hair cut like that for the first time when she was on Guiding Light, I think that’s what she’s referring to. I remember her getting it cut on the show, it was when Cassie was with Edmund, and Jeffrey was coming on the show.
Oh no!!! I love Brandon Barash. Except for Michael Easton, he was my favorite guy on GH. If my OLTL men leave GH for good, so will I. Brandon was the only one keeping me there otherwise.
In my book, Jax is the right man for Carly. As for Todd…I love the character but he has been dumb downed on GH. I sincerely hope Todd stays in Llanview where both his family and his true love reside.
Carly, the best female character in daytime right now? No, just no. I’d pick Anna Devane as I only watch GH. And I’m sure Y&R, B&B and Days fans have some better choices as well.

Yep i love Sami Brady right now for example on Days, she is finally written in character after years of BS and there are other great female soap characters on all soaps although i like Carly on GH most of the time but even on this soap there are other good female characters like Anna, Liz, Lucy ect..

I love the pairing of Todd and Carly. RH and LW have amazing chemistry together. If given proper storylines, they could surpass Luke & Laura, IMHO. Hope RH will come back to GH, regardless which character he would portray.

I am sorry to see BB leave but wish him well in his new career. He was the perfect young “gangster” on GH. I hope to see more of the Carly-Todd-AJ triangle. It was hilarious when Todd laughed at AJ and Carly kiss as he knew she was faking. I hope RH gets to come back as Todd as he is good with Carly. She and RH and MB are the best actors on GH. I would also like to see Carly and AJ as a “couple” at the nurses ball and hope that is in the works. I wonder who the mysterious Quartermaine heir is–could this be Rafe. I am looking forward to seeing Audrey return for the 50th anniversary as I remember her from watching GH during the late 60’s and 70’s.
For comic relief, I’d like to see Todd-Carly-AJ triangle. For suspense and tension, I think Todd-Carly-Sonny triangle would be awesome. For romance, I think Todd-Carly-Jax would be it. Whichever triangle GH wants to bring for Todd and Carly pairing, I’m sure these two will hit it out of the park. I love love Tarly.

The only man I have ever liked Carly with is Jax. I would have loved to have seen them in a longer relationship without any other man in the picture. Their chemistry is hot!

Upon first hearing that Roger Howarth was joining the cast at GH, I was filled with dread…it had been many years since I saw him on OLTL. His joining the existing cast at GH,though, has made the show even better. He is really a super character, from having very high entertainment value (i.e. his humor, etc)
to his infrequent but meaningful admissions of imperfection. I agree with Ms. Wright, I hope he is able to return and enjoy a good career at GH — though with the caveat that he not replace any of the other characters!

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brook Lynn and Chase Have Their Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties
On General Hospital, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) both were treated to Bachelorette and Bachelor parties to shake off any of those pre-wedding jitters. At The Savoy, the ladies have a touching and fun time with Brook Lynn.
The bride-to-be gives a speech to thank everyone for coming, while Lois lets everyone know to try the signature cocktail the “Brooklynn Chaser”, which gets everybody eventually and mostly, drunk.
When Tracy (Jane Elliot) questions Lois (Rena Sofer) as to why there is no music for the party, Lois realizes she forgot, and somehow, who does she call to the rescue? Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)! Saving the day, he winds up playing some tunes and later gets on the dance floor to ‘shake it off’ with the gals.

Lois makes a speech as the mother of the bride, and shares how proud she is of the woman Brook Lynn has become. Wedding games begin, including one of “hot potato” with a wedding bouquet.
When it’s time for the “Silly Poses” section of the party, Spinelli has now morphed from DJ to staff photographer taking memorable photos of the ladies to remember the evening by.

The best part of the event, was when Brook Lynn tries to get her grandmother Tracy out on the dance floor, which, at first, she refuses. After several of the guests bust a move, a tipsy Tracy joins the dance party after Joss mentions that if her grandmother Bobbie was here, she would dance. Tracy says “she agrees” and begins to cut a rug on the floor, much to the delight of the other women.

In the final moments, a tipsy Joss and Kristina (Kate Mansi) have a confrontation about Sonny, and Joss lets Kristina in more on Sonny’s behavior, which looks to have clued in Kristina a bit more as to how something is way off about her dad.

Across town at the Hatchett Bar, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the men with the exception of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), all attend Chase’s Bachelor Party where throwing hatchets into a dart board for supremacy is the order of the day. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ned (Wally Kurth) get into some words over ELQ, while Dante makes a toast to his police partner, Chase.

Suddenly Dex (Evan Hofer) shows up. Chase thanks Dex for coming, but Dex gets some dirty looks from other cops on the force. Dante gives Chase his present, which is a signed baseball by the Boston Red Sox.
Ned (Wally Kurth) makes a speech that although no one is good enough for his daughter, Brook Lynn, Chase has come closer than anyone has, so welcome to the family. Running in at the end is Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), who just left Brook Lynn’s party, and she toasts her singing partner, Chase, and to the great man that he is.

Cameron Mathison Previews New Game Show ‘Beat The Bridge’ (Promo)
As previously reported, Cameron Mathison (Drew, General Hospital) will be seen doing double duty this summer when he premieres in June as the host of Game Show Network’s Beat The Bridge.
Now, while Cameron will be the host with the most, that doesn’t mean he will stop playing GH’s Drew. In fact, Mathison taped the game show in 2023, so it will now air for the first time in 2024.
Taking to his Instagram this week, Cameron shared his enthusiasm and some new hosting snaps, sharing, “Our newest game show host reporting for duty😎 Head over to the Game Show Network YouTube channel for your first look at the show and don’t miss Beat The Bridge premiering this June! I can’t wait for you guys to see this!”

In Beat The Bridge, an enormous interactive bridge dares players to cross by stepping on the right answers to challenging trivia questions. As they play, each steps forward and puts money in their team’s bank, with bonus money for each successful crossing. Here’s the catch: the team gets to keep the money only if it can “beat the bridge” by returning one of its players back across before time expires.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nina Confronts Ava for Sabotaging Her Relationship With Sonny and Signs the Divorce Papers
Looks like Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Ava (Maura West) are back to be each other’s sworn enemy number one. By the end of the Monday, April 22nd episode of General Hospital, the women know where they stand with each other after Nina goes in on Ava accusing her of wanting Sonny (Maurice Benard) all to herself, while her marriage has been on the rocks.
In story, at Nina’s office, Ava shows up to see Nina and says she is sorry about what happened with Sonny and that he reacted the way he did, acknowledging that is was over the top, even for Sonny. Ava says she’ll smooth things over, but Nina says she now understands how manipulative and transparent Ava really is.
Given their horrible history, Nina goes in on Ava and how she should never have trusted her. Nina wants to know how long has Ava had this agenda dating all the way back to telling Nina to turn Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) into the SEC. Ava says she never told her do to that, but Nina wants to know how long Ava has been playing her for a fool.

Ava says she moved in with Sonny to keep Avery safe and she wants to be on good terms with Avery’s father, Sonny. Nina thinks she likes being in Sonny’s inner circle. Ava tells Nina if she goes to him about her advising Nina to call the SEC on Carly and Drew, it won’t work. Sonny still considers Nina a traitor and he will think she’s lying because she’s so desperate to win him back. Ava says if Nina would stop blaming everyone else that maybe Sonny would respect her. Nina says “like he does you?” Ava says Sonny not only respects her, but he also counts on her.
From there, Ava launches into why she and Sonny understand each other, after all, Sonny is a powerful, turbulent, and sometimes violent man. She goes so far to say if Nina wanted someone to just sit by the fire with and play with their grandchildren, she’s got the wrong guy. Ava then talks about Mike from Nixon Falls (Sonny with amnesia) and how Sonny hid the darkest parts of himself from Nina back then, whereas with Ava they are the same similar creatures, so he doesn’t have to hide anything.

Nina wants to know just what Ava wants with Sonny? What is her end game? Ava responds that they understand each other, in ways she can’t with Sonny. Nina tells Ava she can go ahead and have it all and signs Sonny’s divorce papers. Ava walks out with the documents, while Nina in tears at her desk, takes off her wedding rings and has her assistant come in so she can messenger the rings back to Sonny’s address.
