This week’s it’s the highly-anticipated double wedding of Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Peter (Wes Ramsey), and Anna (Finola Hughes) and Finn (Michael Easton) on General Hospital, but already things look pretty dismal that any nuptials will take place, or will they?

We already know that Anna and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) have figured out Peter is a very bad guy, Maxie is having second doubts of marrying the guy, someone enters the picture unexpected from the latest promo and the end of last Friday’s cliffhanger, Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) got some motherly news for Peter,  and Finn is on a mission to find out if he is the bio-son of Chase (Josh Swickard), and not his father Gregory (Gregory Harrison) and more!

On Monday, ABC released its promo for the nuptials, which does have guests seated at the wedding, but who will show up to say their “I do’s”?

In the latest issue of SOD on newsstands now, GH co head-writer, Chris Van Etten shared what fans should expect, revealing: “The double wedding is the crescendo and climax of years of stories, secrets and lies – and by the time it’s over, the lives of everybody involved will have been changed forever.”

Watch the teaser below.

Now, let us know: Do you think either couple, Maxie and Peter, or Anna and Finn ,will actually get hitched? How do you think the drama will go down on Port Charles? Weigh-in via the comment section.

It’s sad that due to Covid-related limits on the number of performers who can be on set at one time, certain characters will be glowingly absent.

Felicia! Maxie’s mom and Anna’s close friend for almost 40 years not there. They’ll have to throw in a line about why Robin and her kin aren’t there. Spinnelli and Nina have already been cast off. Lucy and Sasha, Maxie’s business partners would’ve normally been there. Bobbie, Elizabeth, Franco and Tracy have been given storyline reasons not to be there.

Regardless of the small number of characters present, looking forward to hopefully seeing Heinrich get his comeuppance and the reveal that he is not Anna’s son. Liesl for the win!

Don’t forget Deadbeat Frisco!

Frisco is having a drink somewhere with Jeff Webber and Lucky Spencer, other members of the Port Charles Deadbeat Dad Club.

Yes re Frisco. If he can make appearances on the Hallmark channel, he can at least come to his daughter’s wedding.

Steve
Right you are, I just hope that Liesel’s document is authentic and her proof of Peter/Heinrich bad deeds as well as proof of birth hold up.

WHOOPIE!! Finally, it’s going to be over..
The Petter stuff has outlived its time.
Maxie will have her third child no fathers, sad and stupid.
Finn and Anna are gaaawd awful! totally a mismatch, for sure.
Anna is too old for Finn even her massive plastic surgeries
can’t hide the age thing-even her wig don’t cut it.
But– Finn has his hairpiece too, so in a way, they do match-up AHAA!!
I’m looking forward to the wedding drama–
it’s going to blow up on Petter..
AND– if Franco dies he will revert back into Billy.
and that’s a good thing. 🙂

Su000, Finn does look like he is wearing one of those horrible hair pieces from “Undercover Boss!” But I agree, him and Anna are a horrible couple. I would prefer her with Valentine. Peter, AKA Mr. Carly goes bye bye and I would love it if Franco becomes Drew. Billy Miller was horrible as Drew! Roger will be much better and have fun with it!

Finola is 61, Easton just turned 54. Not a huge gap. Tristan Rogers (Robert) is 74, would you say he is too old for Anna or Jackie?

Whatever “work” Finola may have had done, it’s a heck of a lot better than some other actresses on the show (some much younger than her).

I’m more concerned with the crappy storyline Anna has been given these past few years than looks.

Maxie’s first child, Georgie, not only has a father (Spinnelli) but he has primary custody. Agreed that this third child wasn’t needed on the canvas and Peter has outlived his time.

Steve…I really agree with you re the crappy storyline they have given Anna the last few years. They make her look like she has lost her mojo. She deserves way better. And I’m getting tired of looks and ageism comments about actots who are trying to do their jobs and please us.

Finola Hughes is stunning and she looks to be in the same age bracket as Michael Easton. That said, I don’t care for them as a couple. They just seem like two dear friends. And Peter and Maxie are about as exciting as a mayonnaise sandwich on Wonder bread.

Don’t care how this ends, as long as it finally does! How did Valentin foul up so bad but did did he really? I really couldn’t say yes to the dresses worn by the two brides. I did not think Maxie’s was at all becoming in her condition and poor little Anna incased in that slinky thing with shoulders that could fly her to the great beyond. Hope this non-wedding will be the end of the marriage thing for them, as well as Peter and poor Maxie. No matter what the outcome, poor little Violet will suffer the most. Lucky for her she has three great guys ready to love and cheer her up.

Hey Violet! Speaking of dresses, did Sam somehow misunderstand the “ double” wedding invitation and mistook it for a wedding attire recommendation? Because her twins were out in full force! It was so bad that the girls upstaged Sam every time she had a scene. When Sam learned that Peter killed Drew and Dante had to hold her back, I thought I was watching porno performance art! I’m not sure if Sam shrieked, “Hold me back!” Or “Hold them back!” I’m afraid that I was roaring with ribald laughter at that scene, and I’m pretty sure that was not the writers’ intent.

Harry
You are too funny! Yes, good thing the girls were contained, it was hard to look anywhere else, wasn’t it?

I am glad Finn will find out that Anna been hiding All Peter crimes all these years. I hope Hayden return for her daughter. Anna shouldn’t be around Finn child.

I’ve been waiting for all the excitement but so far nada! Peter acted like he was mostly upset about Anna not being his mother than anything else. I hope Valentin sets things right about all of Peter’s crimes but if he doesn’t hopefully Dr.O will be clicking her pen towards Dante.

Mommy!

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”

Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
