Kim Delaney on All My Children Primetime Reboot: “All They Have To Do Is Ask, and I’m There”

Photo: ABC

While Kim Delaney is currently appearing on General Hospital in the role of Jackie Templeton, and she just appeared in her new Lifetime movie, The Long Island Serial Killer: A Mother’s Hunt of Justice, the actress revealed she would be up for appearing in the upcoming primetime revival in development of All My Children.

Delaney became soap-famous in the role of AMC’s Jenny Gardner from 1981-1984 before she was killed-off the show in the now iconic jet ski explosion.

Now even though Jenny died, Kim would be up for figuring out how the character could be resurrected or how she could take part in the primetime reboot of the ABC soap opera called, Pine Valley.

In an interview with Soaps.com, Kim shared on being part of the reboot: “All they have to do is ask, and I’m there.  Sure, Jenny died, but someone asked me the other day if we ever saw her body. So maybe she’s out there, somewhere… ”

Former All My Children stars and real-life duo, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are executive producers of Pine Valley along with Andrew Stearn.

So, would you like to see an alive and well Jenny Gardner, or some other role for Delaney, in the All My Children reboot? Comment below.

I don’t feel she has added anything to GH. Wish they would have kept Julian and Neil instead.

I highly doubt they’d consider a back from dead character from 40 years ago. It doesn’t seem like the Martin/Gardener clans are a major part of the planned series. Didn’t Ripa say the primary focus would be the next generation of Santos and Kane families?

Delaney is doing a fine job in Port Charles. Lots of story potential for Jackie. I’m sure prime time May call again, but it likely won’t be Pine Valley.

Next to Luke an Laura Greg an Jenny were the next best great love story of the 70’$ and their story ended way to soon…It was actually Jennys twin sister that was put up for adoption by opal as tad was that died on that jet ski that horrible day for all AMC fans!!!

Soaps and Comic Books have one mutual rule, “No body, not dead”. Jenny died before I started to watch but if they brought Tad back with an amnesia storyline. Also they had Angelique, Dimitri’s wife, and Nina on GH in a coma for decades why not Jenny? Even if there was a body there are always ways to get around that too.

All My Children Alum Cornelius Smith Jr. Joins the Cast of Apple TV+ Limited Series, ‘Five Days At Memorial’

Daytime fans remember him fondly as the son of Jesse (Darnell Williams) and Angie Hubbard (Debbi Morgan), Frankie, on All My Children.  And now, actor Cornelius Smith Jr., is set to join a major limited series based on the acclaimed nonfiction book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Sheri Fink, about the the first five days following Hurricane Katrina made landfall entitled Five Days at Memorial.

Written by John Ridley and Carlton Cruse, Smith will play a doctor, (something he is very familiar with playing since Frankie Hubbard was a doctor in Pine Valley!) named Dr. Bryant King, an internist and one of the few doctors of color at the hospital, who finds himself very much in the middle of the crisis.  He will headline the show alongside Vera Farmiga and Adepero Oduye.
