‘Passions’ Alum Gerardo Celasco Cast in ABC Drama Pilot ‘National Parks’

Photo: IMDB

Gerardo Celasco, formerly known to soap fans as Adrian Bellani (Ex-Miquel, Passions), has been cast as one of the lead roles in a new drama on tap and in the works for ABC.

The series called National Parks, follows a small group of elite national parks service agents as they solve crimes while protecting the parks — which, while being known for their sweeping, beautiful landscapes, also attract a vast array of criminal activity.

According to Deadline, Celasco will take on the role of Lincoln Kane, a fearless ISB Special Agent who is haunted by his past and carries the world on his shoulders. Lincoln’s commitment is never in question as he finds his own way to go above and beyond the call.

The actor will also appear in the Swimming with Sharks drama series reboot, and was previously seen on How to Get Away with Murder, Next, and the film Moneyball.

Celasco played Miquel Lopez-Fitzgerald on the the now defunct NBC soap classic, Passions from 2000-2007.

I remember thinking who could fill Jesse Metcalfe’s shoes on Passions. Enter Gerardo. This guy was/is ridiculously handsome. Not sure about the premise of this new show but count me in for a least one viewing.

Lord help us. That premise hardly excites me. A weekly forest chase? Alrighty then.

Cameron Mathison Shares He Will Make Summer Debut On GH and Says: “Incredibly Grateful to Frank Valentini and the Writers at GH for Including Me on Such an Iconic Show”

Longtime All My Children favorite and current co-host of Hallmark’s Home & Family, Cameron Mathison, took to his Instagram account on Friday to share his enthusiasm and excitement for what’s to come this summer when he joins ABC’s General Hospital.

No word yet as to what role Mathison will play – and whether it will indeed be Pine Valley’s Ryan Lavery, a new character, or a recast character from the past such as how Kim Delaney took over the role of Jackie Templeton, who has not been seen on the canvas for decades since Demi Moore made that role soap-famous.

In his post today, Cameron expressed thanks to GH EP Frank Valentini and the writing team,  noting: “Almost 10 years after All My Children went off the air I am so excited to be joining General Hospital this summer! I was a member of the abc family for over 15 years and soon I’ll be back: Incredibly grateful to Frank Valentini and the writers at GH for including me on such an iconic show I feel like a kid on Christmas, as I’ll also continue making Hallmark movies and continue to be part of that family as well😀🙏🏼 So so excited… thank you!!!! (More details to come😉)”

So, who do you think Cameron will play once he hits Port Charles?  Let us know and make sure to take our poll below on how you want Mathison to be integrated into the story as Ryan, a new character or a recast character blast from the past? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
