We all know she is one of the most busy actresses in Hollywood, and now General Hospital’s Carolyn Hennesy can add yet another intriguing project and series to her impressive resume!

Carolyn has been cast as Toni, a member of The DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).  The part is described as: “upper-crust, someone who likes to keep things orderly and does not appreciate dissension, Toni has been in the ‘club”’for years with Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop).

Primetime fans are also very familiar with Hennesy’s work from her role on Cougar Town, Revenge and more!

Love her as Diane…great character! But I think she’s a bit typecast…she’s always “upper crust”…even in True Blood she was an elite vampire with a haughty air.LOL. Still, always welcome on my screen! Love Gilmore Girls!

I love her, too, Rebecca. And, I have watched every single episode of GILMORE GIRLS. Plus reruns!!
I thought some segments of the original episodes ( at the time) were actually filmed in Hartford, Ct, as I am very familiar with the area. It looked like the business center of that city.

Hey CeeCee…Sunday morning…drinking tea and replying to you. But it’s 7am…my precious cat woke me up so here I am! LOL…of course now that she’s had her little breakfast she’s snoring away…and I can’t fall back to sleep! From what I read the pilot (of the original series) was shot in Ontario…the rest in the Burbank Ca studio. But!…it was based off a picturesque, idyllic town of Washington, Connecticut (so it was based on a town in Conn similar to what you indicated) where the writer visited and stayed in a beautiful inn. She said she was so taken by… Read more »

Hey, Rebecca. Yes, most towns north of Bridgeport– west of the river, ( Avon, West Hartford, Simsbury, Canton, Farmington; to name a few) in Ct are quaint. Some ‘cuter’ and more affluent than others. Hartford is the capital and a very urban city…..sort of lacks the special ‘serenity’ one assumes all towns and cities in Ct possess. But, overall, Ct is one of the wondrous states, for sure. Oh, I knew GILMORE GIRLS filmed mainly in California, and I am also very familiar with Markham, Ontario. Nonetheless, I was impressed how well Hartford was depicted—-when the residents of Stars Hollow… Read more »

This is great news! I’ve watched every episode of GILMORE GIRLS (like many others, I’m sure) and Carolyn will be a perfect addition. I can imagine the barbs flying between she and Kelly Bishop, who was criminally robbed of Emmy nominations year after year so that the SAME PEOPLE could win. Emily Gilmore was/is one of my favorite TV characters, so I can’t wait to revisit her and this wonderful show.

Diane is a defense attorney; not a prosecutor. She’s always on the side of the criminals.

Love Carolyn having the different opportunities to spread her wings just as long as she is still a part of GH.

Amen to that, Rose! Have you ever noticed that the good ones like Carolyn too often get away from Port Charles and we’re left with the same old characters played by those less in demand elsewhere????

If she had been at the trial for Julian on GH.. She would have stopped Alexis from testifying. That is why she was not written into that episode. I love her work on the show whenever she is on.. YES I agree.. she would be WONDERFUL on Kiefer Sutherland’s show.. Designated Survivor.

OLTL Favorite Susan Batten to Guest-Star on General Hospital

A very familiar face to the town of Llanview and the beloved One Life to Live, will be appearing on your screens this week on General Hospital.

Susan Batten (Ex-Luna Moody, OLTL) will make a few guest appearances in scenes with Sasha played by Sofia Mattsson.

According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstand now, Batten will play the role of home shopping-star Flora Gardens!

Batten former boss, Frank Valentini (executive producer, GH) called Susan and said about the role: , “Okay, there’s this character named Flora Gardens.”  To which Susan responded, “Does she have teeth?”   After the two shared a laugh, Susan said “yes’ to the role.

OLTL fans will remember Luna’s torrid relationship with Max Holden (James DePaiva).

The actress/writer/producer reported that she was a ‘still very nervous’ acting on soap again (she last appeared on One Life in 2012), but said once she got into the rhythm of the shooting and delivering the lines it was all good.

So, looking forward to seeing Susan on GH? Comment below. But first, take a moment to stroll down memory lane in this clip from OLTL, when Max proposes to Luna.
