Steve and Maxie manage to tend to wounded Matt, but Olivia remains in critical condition.  Michael, Kristina, Molly, Ali and Taylor look for missing Morgan. Sonny’s meeting with Theo is cut short when he and Alexis get news of the bus accident. Brook tries to stick close to Nik, but Liz seeks comfort from Nik over Cam. Michael finds Morgan with a broken leg and carries him back to their makeshift camp. Michael and Molly find a cell phone and call 911. Taylor attempts to keep Kristina warm, but their physical closeness resurrects memories of Kiefer’s abuse.

Maxie and Matt grow closer as Steve comforts Olivia, who is critical. Dante and Brenda are first to arrive on the scene, and Dante rushes to Olivia’s side.  Carly and Jason follow to reach Morgan. Olivia is helicopter lifted to GH. Carly feels a mother’s regret that she was not on the bus with Morgan and for putting Olivia in harm’s way as well. Molly is beside herself when Brenda asks Molly and Kristina to be her bridesmaids. News of the bus accident brings Patrick and Robin closer, and for a moment all the doctors, including Lisa, work together. A feeling of kinship emerges as families gather at the hospital, supporting each other during this time of crisis. Abby inadvertently introduces herself to Sonny when she admits she is at the hospital for news on her friend, Michael. Patrick performs emergency surgery on Olivia, but Dante fears he is going to lose his mother.  Lulu arrives to comfort Dante during this difficult time. Liz notices how close Lucky and Siobhan are as they comfort Cam. Nik purposely makes himself scarce at the hospital, and Brook Lynn calls him out on his self-flagellating behavior.

Dante sits vigil by Olivia’s bedside, forced to face the painful truth that he may lose his mother. Sonny comforts Kristina. He also protects Dante from Theo’s questioning. Steve offers Terrell a trial position in pediatrics. As Patrick and Robin inch closer to reconciliation, Lisa reveals her directive to Terrell. Ethan rejects Edward’s Machiavellian offer, hoping to move in with Maya somewhere other than the Quartermaine mansion. Tracy claims to be unphased by Luke’s honeymoon antics, but Edward is dubious. As Michael assures Abby that Sonny will not interfere with their relationship, Carly is having a meltdown about Abby to Sonny. Kristina and Michael have a revelation about their life attitude. Spinelli offers Diane an outlet for her writing prowess – help him co-author the exciting adventures of Jackal, P.I.

Molly starts to act bizarrely and Michael fears she may be suffering PTSD over the bus crash. Brenda begins wedding preparations but is hurt that Jason, Spinelli, Suzanne refuse to support her marriage to Sonny. Theo insists on questioning Brenda and Dante about the death of Banovic. Terrell charms his way into Robin’s life. Theo arrives to pursue his malpractice suit against GH, but Robin manages to talk him out of the case. Carly and Sonny argue over Michael and Abby’s relationship and what to do about it. After yelling at Sam, Carly tries to pay Abby off to leave Michael alone.  When she refuses to take the money, Carly threatens Abby. GH’s Parry Shen Delivers the ‘Power Performance of the Week’

How many of us have lost, or had to say goodbye to our best friend? Somehow fate or illness intervenes and cuts short someone you share so many memories with.

On last Thursday’s episode of General Hospital, Dr. Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) family and friends gathered for her memorial at the GH chapel.  However, viewers knew of the special connection between Britt and her bestie, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen).

Photo: ABC

Devastated at losing Britt, upset that she never told him she about her diagnosis with Huntington’s Disease, and mourning her death, Brad comes to her former office, where Britt was the Co-Chief of Staff at the hospital. After exchanging heartfelt moments with Britt’s mother, the grieving Liesl (Kathleen Gati), and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), Brad (with a paper bag in hand) spends some time alone in Britt’s former office, which has now been cleaned out.

Next, Brad takes out a carton of ice cream (for those who know the back-story, Britt and Brad would sit together each with ice cream and watch the red carpet at the Nurses’ Ball on TV and hoot and howl at the residents of Port Charles), and thus begins a very emotional and five-hankie moment, where Brad recalls all the key moments in their friendship.

Parry Shen was so touching in this scene, that if you have been a fans of Britt and Brad’s friendship, we are sure you shed some tears.

Later, during the memorial, Brad is pained listening to the others eulogize Britt, and when it is his turn to speak, he does his best to get through it and pay homage to his best friend.

We will miss the Brad and Britt friendship as will many GH viewers for it was one-of-a-kind on the soaps – two originally, not so nice people, doing bad things and finding common ground with each other, and eventually turning their lives around and being there to support each other.

For all of these scenes mentioned above, Michael Fairman TV names Parry Shen’s work, the Power Performance of the Week.  You can check out a clip featuring Shen below.

Now, let us know, what did you think of Parry’s Performance during Britt’s memorial episode? Comment below.

GH’s Eden McCoy Delivers The ‘Power Performance of the Week’

Not often does a week’s worth of soaps offer up so many outstanding performances. However, the beginning of 2023 brought just that in dramatic scenes featuring General Hospital’s Kathleen Gati (Liesl), Kelly Thiebaud (ex-Britt), Willian Lipton (Cameron), Parry Shen (Brad) and Days of our Lives Lauren Koslow (Kate).

When all was said and done there was one performance, that for us, rang most true. For anyone who has ever gone through a break-up and had to let someone you care about down, you could feel and understand the raw emotion displayed by General Hospital’s Eden McCoy (Josslyn).

Photo: ABC

Not only did McCoy deliver during the breakup scenes as Joss broke Cameron’s heart into pieces, but later, Joss is shocked and guilt-ridden to find out that Britt died from ‘The Hook’s’ attack after saving her life, and then having to admit the whole thing to her mother, Carly (Laura Wright). Never mind the one other event of that fateful night.  Joss had sex with Dex (Evan Hofer) before she headed over to Kelly’s to talk to Cameron, realizing she should have cleared-up her relationship, first.

McCoy really shined when Josslyn arrived at Kelly’s to tell Cameron things have changed between them. She tearfully apologized for not coming to him sooner.  She promises she will always love him, but she is not in love with him anymore, and she lets him know there is no going back. They can’t fix things.  As Josslyn pours her heart out knowing what this was doing to Cameron, it was a five-hankie moment, indeed.

In addition, when Josslyn spills most all to her mother (she left out the part of having sex with Dex), you could genuinely feel the bond between the two, which as we have stated many times through the years, speaks to the perfect casting of McCoy as Carly’s daughter and her on-screen chemistry with Laura Wright.

For all of these well-played and outstanding moments, Michael Fairman TV names Eden McCoy our pick for The Power Performance of the Week.

Now let us know, what did you think of Eden’s work in the break-up scenes between Joss and Cam and its aftermath? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Britt Dies, Josslyn Breaks Up with Cameron, Ava Finds Out Esme is Pregnant

Wednesday’s General Hospital featured a heartbreaking death and an emotional break-up.  Although fans knew that Kelly Thiebaud (Britt) was leaving the daytime soap opera, we all thought that she would exit the canvas alive, especially given the set-up of her goodbye/birthday party, and that Britt was leaving those she loved behind to go live out her days with a new identity why she battled Huntington’s Disease.

However, the surprise was on us.  When Britt returned to the ‘Haunted Star’ to be with her mother Liesl (Kathleen Gati), she collapses. Eventually, Britt starts coughing up blood and Liesl finally realizes she needs to call 911.  But, it’s all too late.  Britt tells Liesl she won’t make it to the hospital as she was poisoned by ‘The Hook’.  As she draws her last breaths, Britt asks her mother to hold her.   The scenes featured touching performances by Kathleen Gati and Kelly Thiebaud.

Later, Liesl is alone at the hospital and Scott (Kin Shriner) joins her, and that is when Scott learns Britt dies.  He phones Nina.  Meanwhile, Liesl says one final emotional goodbye to Britt.

In another tearjerker. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) realizes she has to break up with Cam (William Lipton) tonight, especially after having sex with Dex (Evan Hofer).  She says it was wrong of her to give into her feelings for Dex, without breaking up with Cam, first.  Joss heads to Kelly’s with Dex outside for protection from ‘The Hook’.  Inside, an emotional Joss tells Cam things have changed between them, and that they can’t go back to how they were.  She apologizes to a gut-punched Cam but she’s not in love with him anymore.  Cam tells her they cannot go back to being friends.  Eden McCoy and William Lipton were excellent in these break-up scenes.

At GH, Esme (Avery Pohl) apparently has some form of amnesia from her hypothermia and can’t remember her name, that she was pregnant or where she was.  Is it another trick … or did Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) just get off scot-free for their roles in kidnapping her?

When Ava (Maura West) arrives at GH and learns that Esme is pregnant, Nikolas approaches her so they can have a word in private.  Then, in front of Laura (Genie Francis), Trina (Tabyana Ali), Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and more, Ava asks Nikolas if he is Esme’s baby daddy, to which he replies, “Yes”.    Then, as only Ava can do, she hauls of and slaps him as his mother looks on in horror over the entire situation!

So, were you shocked that GH decided to kill off Dr. Britt Westbourne? What did you think of the break-up scenes between Josslyn and Cameron? Now that Ava knows Esme is pregnant with Nikolas’ child, what do you hope she does next? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section, but first, check out Josslyn trying to let Cameron down easy that only backfires on her in the clip from today’s GH below.
