Olivia is helicopter lifted to GH. Carly feels a mother’s regret that she was not on the bus with Morgan and for putting Olivia in harm’s way as well. Molly is beside herself when Brenda asks Molly and Kristina to be her bridesmaids. News of the bus accident brings Patrick and Robin closer, and for a moment all the doctors, including Lisa, work together. Liz notices how close Lucky and Siobhan are as they comfort Cam. Nik purposely makes himself scarce at the hospital, and Brook Lynn calls him out on his self-flagellating behavior.

Dante sits vigil by Olivia’s bedside, forced to face the painful truth that he may lose his mother. Sonny comforts Kristina. He also protects Dante from Theo’s questioning. Steve offers Terrell a trial position in pediatrics. As Patrick and Robin inch closer to reconciliation, Lisa reveals her directive to Terrell. Ethan rejects Edward’s Machiavellian offer, hoping to move in with Maya somewhere other than the Quartermaine mansion. Tracy claims to be unphased by Luke’s honeymoon antics, but Edward is dubious. As Michael assures Abby that Sonny will not interfere with their relationship, Carly is having a meltdown about Abby to Sonny. Kristina and Michael have a revelation about their life attitude. Terrell charms his way into Robin’s life. Theo arrives to pursue his malpractice suit against GH, but Robin manages to talk him out of the case. Carly and Sonny argue over Michael and Abby’s relationship and what to do about it. GENERAL HOSPITAL: Helena, Jennifer Smith & The Ice Princess: What Did You Think of Luke Spencer’s Memorial?

Friday’s episode of General Hospital brought the highly-anticipated story around the apparent death of Port Charles iconic, Luke Spencer (Tony Geary), although many fans, and even some of the cast of the show, are not sold that Luke is “dead” dead.

During the show, characters spoke of some of the history of Luke in Port Charles, most especially Luke’s sister, Bobbie played by Jackie Zeman.  Throughout the years, Zeman is at her best when she is given material through the writing of the show to connect to the history of Luke and Bobbie.  She did so when Bobbie was remembering how Luke came to Port Charles to help her break up Scotty and Laura, in a discussion with her daughter, Carly (Laura Wright).

As everyone is gathering at the Haunted Star to pay their respects to Luke, Curtis (Donnell Turner) arrives to support Laura (Genie Francis), Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Anna (Finola Hughes) arrive together, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Ava (Maura West), as well as Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez  also show up. It is through Nikolas’ conversation with Laura that we learn why Luke’s sons, Ethan and Lucky, can’t make the funeral and, of course, we know why Luke’s daughter Lulu can’t make it because she is in a coma!

Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) shows up and snipes at everyone and then leaves.  Tracy (Jane Elliot), who has arranged the memorial, is with an urn supposedly filled with Luke’s ashes and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) finds her on the deck of the Haunted Star and talks her into giving her planned eulogy.

Meanwhile, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) finds his dad, Sonny (Maurice Benard) drinking at Charlie’s, and later Scott (Kin Shriner) and Robert (Tristan Rogers) stop in and heated words are exchanged between Sonny and Scott. Victor shows up and instead of Scott and Sonny pummeling each other, they get into a fight against Victor.

As Scott and Robert are about to be on their way to the Haunted Star, Scott stays behind because of his past with Luke.  Then, Sonny tried to patch things up with Carly before they head to the memorial.

Back on the yacht, Anna and Felicia find a note and a flash drive, after hearing a commotion on the yacht.  When the note says “play me”, none other than Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) addresses Luke’s friends and family from apparently the great beyond.  As Helena spews her venom against Luke, Laura has enough and pulls the plug on Helena’s video speech.  Tracy looks concerned, like she may want to hear whatever else Helena had to say.

Next, Tracy does her best in short order to eulogize Luke.  That is juxtaposed with Scott trashing Luke.  Later, by herself on the deck, Tracy spreads Luke’s ashes over the waters of Port Charles. Back on the pier, Scott relishes Luke being gone, and that he is still standing saying, “You lose you son of a bitch!” Just then Luke’s ashes blow in into his face.  When Bobbie arrives, and see Scott full of ashes, she asks what happened.  Scott says, “I caught the bouquet,” an obvious nod to the Luke and Laura wedding of the past, where Scott returned at their wedding and caught the wedding bouquet.

Back on the Haunted Star, Tracy then has a gift in hand for Laura, but she tells Tracy if that’s the Ice Princess she does not want anything to do with it, and tells Tracy to keep it.  Spencer sees this go down and his interest on the diamond is instantly piqued.

Back at Charlie’s bar, Victor has an ominous toast to Luke saying, “The good people of your fair city are in for a big surprise!”

At the Haunted Star, dressed in black with black veil, Jennifer Smith reveals herself to a shocked Laura.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Tracy Tells Laura that Luke is “Gone”. What Will Her Next Sentence Be?

Is Luke Spencer (Tony Geary) literally dead-dead? That’s the question on viewers minds after the shocking ending of Monday’s first episode of the new year of General Hospital.

In the key scene at the end of Monday’s show, Tracy, played by Jane Elliot, makes a surprise visit to Laura’s (Genie Francis) just as the clock is about to strike midnight on New Year’s Eve in Port Charles.

When Laura, who is with Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), opens the front door, she sees Tracy standing there.  An emotional Tracy tells Laura,”It’s Luke. He’s gone.”  Laura is gut-punched.  We fade to black.  The audience is stunned that, first, GH kept under wraps the return of Elliot, but second, that they truly would kill off the iconic character of Luke Spencer.

Since the airing of the episode, fans and viewers of the ABC soap, have been trying to figure out if this is a fake out, and Tracy will continue her explanation on tomorrow’s episode and reveal that, perhaps, Luke has disappeared?

Geary had previously made it clear he would not return to the GH.  So, could this be a story-driven point and the show is really saying buh-bye to Luke? Is this tied to what Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) wants to get out of the mind of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), after Victor’s rather threatening and revealing conversation with Peter (Wes Ramsey), who has unfortunately awakened from his coma?  Stay tuned!

Now, weigh-in: what do you think Tracy’s next sentence will be to Laura? What do you think has happened to Luke? Share your theories via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sonny Takes the Stand and Winds Up Torching His Marriage to Carly

On Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital, the moment finally came and in dramatic fashion where Carly (Laura Wright) has found out about Sonny aka “Mike” (Maurice Benard) relationship with Nina (Cynthia Watros) while he was in Nixon Falls; all thanks to a duped Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), or so Michael (Chad Duell) thinks.

While on the stand during Nina’s trial, Willow admits to Scott (Kin Shriner), who is Nina’s defense attorney, that she overheard Nina and Sonny talking where Nina said their love was the purest.  However, it ended when his memories of Sonny returned.  While in the courtroom, Carly is beginning to have the realization that more went on between her husband and Nina than she initially thought.

The judge in the case decides he wants to hear from Sonny and he is called to the witness stand. When the judge asks Sonny if he had a personal relationship with Ms. Reeves while in Nixon Falls, Sonny admits that he and Nina did fall in love.  When the judge pointedly asks Sonny if he sees himself as a victim of a crime, he answers “no’.

After he exits the stand, Sonny tries to approach Carly, but she runs out in tears.  Nina gets upset with Scott for what he did to Willow on the stand, but he says his job is to win the case for her.  Following the closing arguments, the judge says after all was said and done, he needs time to deliberate.   When Sonny tracks down Carly, things look bad for CarSon!

Elsewhere, Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) learn from the doctor, that Leo does indeed have Autism Spectrum Disorder. The doctor informs the parents that they can get Leo into programs that will help him and promises that Leo will live a happy, and fulfilling life.  Ned and Olivia are emotional, but try to soldier on, knowing that they will be there for Leo every step of the way.

So, what did you think of yesterday’s GH? Are you glad that Carly finally knows about Nina and Sonny? What do you hope happens next? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
