GH Releases 16-Episode “Best of the Nurses’ Ball 2014-2018” Collection Ahead Of 2019 Edition Kicking-Off May 16th

General Hospital and ABC are getting you ready for the upcoming 2019 Nurses’ Ball with the release of A 16-episode collection titled “Best of the Nurses’ Ball 2014-2018.”

That collection is streaming for free for viewers at ABC.com and on the ABC App from now through June 30.  There is no  sign-in required just go to abc.com/nursesball

It includes 16 episodes from fictional Port Charles’ most glamorous charity event, the Nurses Ball. Dedicated to HIV/AIDS awareness and research. The Nurses’ Ball features exquisite red carpet fashion, original music, awe-inspiring musical and dance performances, and plenty of intrigue, excitement and drama.

In addition to announcing the collection, ABC has revealed that the 2019 Nurses’ Ball will kick off on GH on May 16.

Of course, the best moments of the Nurses Ball were when Lucy ended up in her under garments. They haven’t done that in a long time but it was always interesting to see how she would end up that way which is the same way of how the Quartermaines always had a Thanksgiving that never went off as planned.

Briana Lane Wraps Her Run As Brook Lynn On General Hospital

Monday’s episode of General Hospital brought with it the last episode of Briana Lane in the role of Brook Lynn Quartermaine. Lane took over the role while Amanda Setton was on maternity leave.

In story, Brook Lynn tells her father, Ned she needs some distance and is leaving town, so she is heading to Bensonhurst.  She tells Valentin, she is leaving Port Charles and he wishes her luck,  But hold the phone! After Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) exits Brook Lynn pulls out a pregnancy test!  Is she preggers with Valentin’s bi0-child?  Guess the story will play out when Amanda Setton returns.

Lane took to her Twitter account to thank the fans and GH for being part of the show even if it was short-lived, expressing: Last day on #GH Effortlessly talented captain of the ship @valentinifrank ,goddess  @lisalocicerogh, guiding light @wallykurth … still had tears in my eyes from Wally + I’s last scene as father + daughter. TY to everyone for all the sweet responses, goodbyes + wishes tonight!!”

Prior to that, Lane shared an additional message on her departure: “Playing the role of Brook Lynn Quartermaine on @GeneralHospital has been an absolute joy + honor. Feel lucky to have been surrounded by such a gifted cast, kind crew + passionate producers these past 4 months + it’s an experience that I will always hold close to my heart.  And HUGE thank you to all the fans who have been so welcoming to the new kid! Your support has meant the world. Passing the baton back to beautiful + mega talented Amanda Setton. Looking forward to watching what will definitely be a new and exciting chapter for BLQ!”

Tyler Christopher Shares “After a Near Death Experience … I’m Ready to Start Over Again and Get Back to Work”

Daytime Emmy winner, Tyler Christopher, took to his Instagram account to let his fans. former colleagues, and friends know that he is headed back to California to continue his acting career and get back to what he loves to do most – turn in those amazing performance that soap audiences have come to know during his runs as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital and Stefan O DiMera on Days of our Lives.

In his post Christopher explained:Coming back to California. Miss you friends. After a near death experience in December, doesn’t matter. I’m ready to start over again and get back to work. Can’t wait to see you all!”

Tyler had moved to Indiana, and as had been reported he had struggles with his battles for sobriety, and ultimately his wife Brienne Pedrigo filed for divorce.

 

Now, turning the page and creating a new chapter in his life, Tyler is looking forward to being back in Hollywood, and his friends and co-stars are definitely rooting him on including: Greg Vaughan (Ex-Lucky, GH Ex-Eric, DAYS) who shared, “Let’s GO” while GH’s Maura West (Ava) sent him a comment full of hearts, and the former Steven Lars of GH, Scott Reeves, expressed, “Amen bro! Happy for you.”

Legendary ‘Jeopardy!’ Host, Alex Trebek Dies After Battle With Pancreatic Cancer

Heartbreaking news for everyone today as the beloved multi-Daytime Emmy winning host of Jeopardy!, Alex Trebek, has died at the age of 80 following a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.

Trebek passed away Sunday morning surrounded by loved ones and died at his home, according to a spokesperson

The game show has announced that Alex hosted episodes will air through December 25th and that his last day tape day in the studio was October 29th.  Trebek became host of the show with its revival back in 1984.

 

Alex went public about his condition in March 2019, and consistently updated fans on his health via social media, on episodes of Jeopardy!, and through  frequent interviews.  While he was under contract until 2022, the iconic host continued to tape episodes as he said it helped him cope with his illness, along with the interactions with the players on the show and his enduring fans.

Having won the Daytime Emmy seven times as Outstanding Game Show Host as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, those were only some of the big moments in his career, for Trebek also is in the Guinness Book of World Records for hosting more than 8,200 Jeopardy!, the most ever for a single game show.

Mike Richards, the current executive producer of the game show said in a statement: “This is an enormous loss for the Jeopardy! staff, crew and all of Alex’s millions of fans. He was a legend of the industry that we were all lucky to watch night after night for 37 years. Working beside him for the past year and a half as he heroically continued to host Jeopardy! was an incredible honor. His belief in the importance of the show and his willingness to push himself to perform at the highest level was the most inspiring demonstration of courage I have ever seen. His constant desire to learn, his kindness, and his professionalism will be with all of us forever.”

Meanwhile, heartfelt condolences and grief are being shared all over social media today on Trebek’s passing from celebrities such as: Ellen DeGeneres, Viola Davis, Ryan Reynolds, John Legend and more, and most of all, from former contestants and beloved fans of the series.
