GH’s Haley Pullos Arrested for Felony DUI
General Hospital favorite, Haley Pullos (Molly Lansing-Davis) told Soap Opera Digest last week, via a statement, that she was taking a break from taping new episodes at the ABC daytime drama, because she was recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident.
However, news this morning from TMZ, indicates there was much more to the story. Now, it turns out, Pullos was arrested for a felony DUI after allegedly causing a major freeway crash.
While at the hospital, Pullos was arrested for felony DUI. Sadly, the other driver is still hospitalized and recovering from major injuries. Making matter seven worse, the police relate that this was not the first collision caused by Haley as she was involved in another hit and run collision prior to her freeway crash.
She’s very lucky to still be alive. I hope she gets the help and support she needs to heal.
I hope the people she severely injured get the help and support THEY need to heal.

Omgosh I’m sorry for people she injured! Their lives are ruined because of her being a jerk.
Yes. I hope ABC fires her for this lack of judgment. They fired actors for violating the Covid Vaccine policy. This is far worse. She needs to hit rock bottom. Yes she needs help but she also deserves swift and full punishment for destroying that other driver’s life. She lucky they didn’t die.
She’s always been on recurring, so there’s no need for a formal termination. Her employment is at will and ABC/Disney can simply choose not to call her in.
Based on the circumstances of the case, it’s hard to see Haley ever returning to GH. The irony is:
1. She was reportedly extremely rude to HOSPITAL workers and first responders.
2. She plays an Assistant District Attorney who prosecutes crimes and does not COMMIT crimes.
Sending good wishes to Haley’s victim. Did Haley really think this news wouldn’t come out when she posted her update on not appearing on upcoming episodes? Such a shame.

Have you ever had a conversation with a very intoxicated person? They really aren’t concerned with the welfare of other people. She shouldn’t have been driving. Anything she did after her decision to drive drunk is entirely predictable. Hopefully she’s held accountable and learns to never do that again.

I’ve seen pictures of the car she was driving. I find it very hard to believe the “f***ng $400 shirt” was undamaged before the paramedics started cutting it up.
Sad story all around. The last thing GH needs right now is to lose another cast member, but it would seem Haley has a problem here and she should deal with that first. This accident could have easily been a fatality… for herself and the other driver.

Two different stories here… Tyler was not let go from GH and DAYS for a DUI or causing anyone bodily harm. His alcohol abuse was impacting his work and those of his fellow cast members.
Haley seriously injured someone due to her carelessness of getting behind the wheel while box drunk and high. Her treatment of law enforcement and first responders was elitist and irresponsible.

Dear Sally, are you aware of the devastation that is caused by someone driving on the wrong side of the freeway? Because I am. I lost a friend from a drunk driver driving on the wrong side of the on ramp. Conversely, my friend’s wife and kids lost a beloved husband and father.

One person said that ABC fired others for not taking the covid vaccine so yes she needs to be terminated. I hate this because I have watched her grow up on GH. Causing injury to another driver & being combative in the hospital & rude to a first responder, that’s unacceptable. I’m disappointed in someone I thought was a bright young actress. GH has been dealing with a lot lately with recent deaths of Jackie Zeman and producer Nneka Gardner, and now this PR nightmare. The accident pictures on TMZ are frightening and both cars are totaled. I hope the people she inured will make a full recovery. I suspect Haley won’t be around much longer. They fired Tyler Christopher for the same thing. She really needs help and I hope she gets it.
They fired Tyler Christopher for a lot less. He was arrested for DUI and did not cause accidents with or without injury..

Sorry, but I have no sympathy for drunks that drive, plus the drugs. It didn’t just happen by accident, she knew she shouldn’t drive under those conditions, she wasn’t unconscious for God’s sake. Thankfully she was the only one in her car.Too bad with people like this live and learn doesn’t apply.

This comment thread is beyond sad. If you have never known or loved someone with an addiction to alcohol or drugs, you cannot wrap your head around the fact that this is indeed a disease. So while everyone is praying for her victims, I will pray for both Haley and all those injured in the accident. I can also hope that she’s held wholly accountable for her actions. They are not excusable. I can do both. We can all do both. It’s a choice.

Alcoholism is a disease. Driving under the influence is reckless behavior. One does not need to be an alcoholic to make a careless decision and get behind the wheel after one night of drinking.

While I acknowledge and have empathy for the idea she may have problems she should be taking care of, her actions speak of an entitled, stupid little girl. It is 2023. There are ride shares and everyone should be well-aware of the dangers of drink driving, so it baffles me she made the stupid decision she made. Felony DUI is a serious crime. She could have killed someone. My empathy stops at her getting help, but it also does not mean I don’t want her paying for her crimes, because she should. It is 2023. This should not be happening. And her statement re: the temporary recast is completely tone deaf.

The last few months on general hospital she had large bags under her eyes and I mentioned to someone that she looked like she was on drugs. She escaped with serious injuries but the other person is in serious condition. Hopefully she will learn a huge lesson here and grow up.

Just such an inexcusable and horrific set of circumstances initiated by Halley’s selfishness and irresponsibility by CONSCIOUSLY DECIDING, WHILE STILL SOBER, to get behind the wheel of a vehicle and drive, WHILE ACTIVELY CONSUMING TEQUILA AND WEED-BASED EDIBLES, instead of just simply hiring a ride sharing service, taking a limo, or having a close friend/companion act as her DESIGNATED DRIVER!! The sympathy here lies primarily with her injured victims, and not her job status. Hopefully, she will also fully recover physically, and eventually realize the poor decision that she made, but she deserves to feel whatever legal and financial consequences that a court of law determines… period…point blank!

Jacob Martinez is ‘Days of Our Lives’ New Javi Hernandez Replacing Al Calderon in the Role
Finally! The casting has been revealed as to just who would be Al Calderon’s successor in the role of Days of our Lives, Javi Hernandez. On Friday, April 30, the long-running soap opera revealed Jacob Martinez is taking on the part and he will first be seen this coming June 30th and then on all-new episodes streaming on Peacock.
As previously reported, the popular Calderon exited the soap opera last year to join the cast of the NBC primetime medical drama, Brilliant Minds as nurse Nico Silva, who in May will air the remainder of their second season. The series has been on the bubble for renewal by the network. His last episodes as Javi will also air this May on DAYS.
Since DAYS tapes ten months ahead of streaming, Martinez has been secretly ensconced in all the drama in Salem for quite some time. When viewers see the new Javi in story, we should learn what will happen in Javi’s relationship with Leo Stark played by Emmy winner, Greg Rikaart, plus his continued relationship with his relatives in the Hernandez clan. Currently, when Javi returned to Salem after taking care of his ailing father, and after the bust-up of his marriage to Leo thanks to Dimitri (Peter Porte), he claimed he had moved on with someone else while he was away from Salem.

Like Calderon before him, Martinez is a multi-talented actor and singer. Jacob’s resume is impressive having appeared in the musical In Pieces: The Musical at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater and he was hand-picked by Joey Contreras to play the role of Grey. Other credits include: the short film, Memory Swim and the play Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage.
Martinez hails from Norfolk, Nebraska and appeared when he was very young at the Johnny Carson Theatre, and as DAYS fans know, Jacob is now working at the Days of our Lives studios, right where the “Tonight Show” is filled. In addition, Jacob Martinez is a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA).
Taking to his Instagram on Thursday, April 30 once the news of his casting was revealed, Martinez, expressed, “Way too many people to thank in one post, so I’ll just say THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART to each and every person who continues to pour into me and encourage me to chase my dreams. I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am. I already feel beyond blessed, supported, and loved. See you all in Salem ⏳”

This week starts with heartbreaking news. Patrick Muldoon, best known for his roles as the original Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives and later as Richard Hart on Melrose Place, died on Sunday, April 19, at the age of 57. Reports indicate his death was sudden following a heart attack.
Muldoon’s sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, told TMZ on Monday more details on her brother’s death, “Patrick went to take a shower Sunday morning after drinking coffee with his girlfriend in their Beverly Hills home. His girlfriend decided to check on him after he was taking too long and found him unconscious on the bathroom floor?” Shana added that paramedics rushed over and tried to revive Patrick, but there was nothing anyone could do.
Soap fans first saw Muldoon as Kate’s (Lauren Koslow) son on DAYS back in 1992, where he quickly became a fan favorite during the on-screen love story between Austin and Carrie Brady (Christie Clarke). Patrick left the series in 1995. He later made comeback for appearances in 2011 and 2012.

On Melrose Place, he played bad buy Richard Hart from 1995-1996. Patrick launched his acting career while in college landing the role of Matt in the 1990 sitcom Who’s The Boss? alongside the likes of Judith Light (ex-Karen, OLTL) and Tony Danza. Following his graduation, Patrick nabbed a recurring role as Jeffrey Hunter in Saved By The Bell by 1991.
Throughout his decades long career, Muldoon also starred in several motion and TV series including his leading roile in Starship Troopers (1997). He also had parts in Deadlock (2021), Vanquish (2021), Dakota (2022), Marlowe (2022), and Murder At Hollow Creek (2023).

Not only was Patrick an actors, but a producer and a musician and singer. He often made appearances and put out music with his band, The Sleeping Masses. Muldoon was the band’s lead singer and guitar player. Patrick was also a producer of TV and film projects.
At the time of his death, Patrick was also an executive producer on a the movie “Kockroach,” which is currently in production.
Taking to his Instagram, just a few days before his death, Muldoon expressed,“So excited to be a part of this amazing project KOCKROACH directed by Matt Ross starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Edgerton, Zazzie Beetz And Alec Baldwin. Filming now in Australia,” he captioned his post.
Sadly, on April 24, Muldoon can be seen in his 2025 film Dirty Hands also festuring Denise Richards (ex-B&B, RHOBH), which will be released on digital streaming platforms on VOD.
Muldoon is survived by his partner, Miriam Rothbart; parents, Deanna and Patrick Muldoon Sr.; his sister and brother-in-law, Shana and Ahmet Zappa; and their children, Muldoon’s beloved niece Halo and nephew Arrow Zappa.

All My Children and Hallmark alum, Jonathan Bennett has been cast in the newly-created role on General Hospital as Joe Fitzpatrick.
Look for Bennett to make his debut on the ABC soap opera next month in May. Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans for his work as JR Chandler on All My Children from 2000-2001. Later, he landed the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout role.
Jonathan would go on to star in seven Hallmark Channel movies and then hosting and producing the network’s reality competition show Finding Mr. Christmas, Bennett has also appeared as a contestant on Season 19 of Dancing with the Stars, plus Celebrity Big Brother in 2019, and he starred on Broadway in Spamalot.

After the news broke, Bennett took to his Instagram and shared, “There’s a new guy in town…” Meanwhile, the official General Hospital account shared a pic and expressed, “He’s already tired of us telling him his hair looks sexy pushed back. Welcome to the family, Jonathan Bennett.
Bennett is married to Jaymes Vaughan. Back in 2022, they became the first gay couple to appear on the cover of the wedding magazine, The Knot.
