Yes. I hope ABC fires her for this lack of judgment. They fired actors for violating the Covid Vaccine policy. This is far worse. She needs to hit rock bottom. Yes she needs help but she also deserves swift and full punishment for destroying that other driver’s life. She lucky they didn’t die.
She’s always been on recurring, so there’s no need for a formal termination. Her employment is at will and ABC/Disney can simply choose not to call her in. Have you ever had a conversation with a very intoxicated person? They really aren’t concerned with the welfare of other people. She shouldn’t have been driving. Anything she did after her decision to drive drunk is entirely predictable. Hopefully she’s held accountable and learns to never do that again.

I’ve seen pictures of the car she was driving. I find it very hard to believe the “f***ng $400 shirt” was undamaged before the paramedics started cutting it up.
Sad story all around. The last thing GH needs right now is to lose another cast member, but it would seem Haley has a problem here and she should deal with that first. This accident could have easily been a fatality… for herself and the other driver.

This reminds me of Tyler Christopher. They let him go after his DUI.
Two different stories here… Tyler was not let go from GH and DAYS for a DUI or causing anyone bodily harm. His alcohol abuse was impacting his work and those of his fellow cast members.
Haley seriously injured someone due to her carelessness of getting behind the wheel while box drunk and high. Her treatment of law enforcement and first responders was elitist and irresponsible.

Dear Sally, are you aware of the devastation that is caused by someone driving on the wrong side of the freeway? Because I am. I lost a friend from a drunk driver driving on the wrong side of the on ramp. Conversely, my friend’s wife and kids lost a beloved husband and father.

GH has been dealing with a lot lately with recent deaths of Jackie Zeman and producer Nneka Gardner, and now this PR nightmare. The accident pictures on TMZ are frightening and both cars are totaled. I hope the people she inured will make a full recovery. I suspect Haley won’t be around much longer. They fired Tyler Christopher for the same thing. She really needs help and I hope she gets it.
They fired Tyler Christopher for a lot less. He was arrested for DUI and did not cause accidents with or without injury..

This comment thread is beyond sad. If you have never known or loved someone with an addiction to alcohol or drugs, you cannot wrap your head around the fact that this is indeed a disease. So while everyone is praying for her victims, I will pray for both Haley and all those injured in the accident. I can also hope that she’s held wholly accountable for her actions. They are not excusable. I can do both. We can all do both. It’s a choice.

While I acknowledge and have empathy for the idea she may have problems she should be taking care of, her actions speak of an entitled, stupid little girl. It is 2023. There are ride shares and everyone should be well-aware of the dangers of drink driving, so it baffles me she made the stupid decision she made. Felony DUI is a serious crime. The last few months on general hospital she had large bags under her eyes and I mentioned to someone that she looked like she was on drugs. She escaped with serious injuries but the other person is in serious condition. Hopefully she will learn a huge lesson here and grow up.

In heartbreaking pop culture news, the legendary and iconic, Tina Turner has died at her home in near Zurich, Switzerland after a long illness.
The news came from Turner’s reps who shared, “With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.” The rock legend was 83-years-old. Turner’s life was marked by regaining her life after domestic abuse and being an icon for women in the music industry and more.

As an entertainment non could compare, Tina won nine Grammy Award and sold over 200 million albums. She rose to fame in the 1960s as the centerpiece of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. Turner was inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Her relationship with Ike Turner and her trials, tribulations and success where made into a 1993 movie, “What’s Love Got To Do With It” which starred Angela Bassett. That film was based on her 1986 moving and harrowing memoir, “I Tina”.
There was no greater pop comeback story, when at 44 years old, she released the iconic album, Private Dancer, which featured hit after hit and gave Tina the push to have an even greater second-half to her 60 year career.

Before concert and performing retirement at age 69, she was still tearing it up with her dance moves like no one else.
Some of her greatest hits include: “The Best,” “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “Better Be Good to Me” and of course, “Proud Mary” and “River Deep Mountain High.”
Turner had iconic film and TV including as the Acid Queen in Tommy (1975) and as Aunty Entity in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985). On television, she was always a guest and featured on variety shows, MTV, and in commercials and more.

50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards Postponed Due to WGA Writers Strike
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has announced on Tuesday, that the 50th annual Daytime Emmy Awards scheduled for Friday night, June 16th, and the Creative Arts & Lifestyle Awards scheduled for Saturday night, June 17th have been postponed.
Due to the WGA Writers strike, the ceremonies have been put on hold until a resolution to the strike between the guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers can be reached. The 50th annual Daytime Emmys were to air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

In a statement, NATAS President and CEO, Adam Sharp revealed: “The 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards planned for Friday June 16 on CBS is postponed due to the WGA strike. In addition, the Creative Arts & Lifestyle ceremony, planned for Saturday, June 17, has been postponed pending a strike resolution. We look forward to our community gathering together as one to celebrate our Golden Anniversary and all of the talented nominees and honorees at a later date.”
This is not the first award show to be affected by the writers strike, as the Tony Awards went from being postponed to now moving forward with an unscripted televised broadcast on CBS as announced on Tuesday.
Originally, the Tony Awards Management Committee asked the WGA for a waiver last week, but received a denial. In an appeal on Monday, the union said they would not grant the scheduled June 11th ceremony a waiver or exception, but would not picket the ceremonies.
On Tuesday morning, on learning the Tony telecast is moving forward, the writers guild said in a statement: “Responsibility for having to make changes to the format of the 2023 Tony Awards rests squarely on the shoulders of Paramount/CBS and their allies. They continue to refuse to negotiate a fair contract for the writers represented by the WGA.”
The Daytime Emmys were ready to celebrate its 50th anniversary and recognize some of television’s big anniversaries including General Hospital’s 60th, Y&R’s 50th and more. GH leads all nominations with 19.
