Ingo Rademacher wraps up his current visit to General Hospital as Jasper Jacks next week on September 26th, but a show source has hinted that the popular leading men may be coming back to Port Charles for more visits down the road!

In the meantime, in the current issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, the actor had the opportunity to clear the air in regards to his controversial tweet that he put out in January, when it was announced that then One Life to Live’s Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati were moving over to General Hospital as executive producer and head writer, respectively.

In the tweet, Rademacher seemed to also take to task the handful of actors that were also coming with Cartini to Port Charles.  The tweet in question read, “It seems like the new show should be called, “One Hospital To Kill” Oops to late … I tweeted that.  I’ll take the blame.  Just kidding 🙂 Not.”

Rademacher now tells SOD what he meant by his words: “It was a more of a go at the network because they were killing everything.  I was sitting there one day thinking, this would be appropriate for what they’re doing.  That’s what it seemed like.   Now they did a lot of firing.  It was way overdue for a change there.  So my new name now for the show is ONE HOSPITAL YOU CAN’T KILL.   I think they’re realizing that those talk shows and cooking shows and stuff, it’s just too many of them right now.  You had The Revolution and The Chew and they’re both the same almost.”

“There’s a lot of soap opera fans out there and you really notice it when you get around the country. Everywhere you go people watch the show.  It would be a real shame if they got rid of them altogether.  Maybe people will get more into it now because there aren’t as many choices.  Hopefully, it will pick up more viewers.”

So soapers, what do you think about Ingo’s clarification?  Do you agree?  Would you like to see Ingo back on GH more often? Weigh-in!

I love Ingo– i hope he comes back to GH for good– anything he says is A-OK with me because I know he truly enjoys his time acting on GH and he appreciates his fans !!

ditto!

I’d love for Jax to once again be a permanent character on GH. Ingo’s a great actor, and the show hasn’t been the same for me since he left.

Ingo’s clarification of the tweet he made in January makes sense. In light of AMC & OLTL being cancelled, it was easy to assume that GH could be next on the chopping block. Fortunately that does not appear to be the case right now–GH is on fire & ABC seems to be taking notice & standing by the show….if only they could have done the same w/ their other soaps! I’ve enjoyed watching Ingo’s return as Jax & will be sad to see him go next week. I hope he will be making more frequent visits to Port Charles!!

Bring him back – bring Melissa Archer to GH, make GH 90 minutes to 2 hrs and combine OLTL with it. Get rid of the Chew and/or Katie Couric!

I like that idea!

I like your suggestion..IDEA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That would be nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I’d love to see some sort of combo soap so fans have some of their favorite characters back on screne, going to a longer-than-60-minute-format would kill the ratings; thus, the show. They tried 90 minutes with ANOTHER WORLD when they wanted to spin off TEXAS and it help to kill the show. It never recovered. I don’t want to see that happen to GH.

I would definitely go for a new soap with a combo of characters from cancelled soaps on it.

Not sure if I believe his spin on that one hmmmm. But I love Ingo. He belongs on the GH canvas.

Yes! He should have stayed! In fact he should have never left! He has chemistry with everyone alot of energy and not bad to look at! Can’t blame him for the bash at OLTL crew taking over cause everyone reacted the same way. Now I think it has died down a bit and people are getting used to the EP and HW by looks of the rating and behind the scenes actors say its alot better enviroment to work in then previous. But I satnd by my opinion that along with getting rid of JFP and Guza that Sonny and Jason and Carly should have went not Jax.

sorry remedy i love sonny and jason and can take or leave carly but she is a
main part of gh, so like any other soap u have the good ones and bad ones

but getting rid of sonny would be a bad move for gh

i love maurice aka sonny 100%

and hope Ingo gets to stay or come back

They are not the main part of GH. They are the main cause why Gh lost so many viewers imo. Lets give it a try I say let MB go along with LW with the door open for a return lets see if GH survives. I say it will.

REMEDY SORRY BUT I DO NOT THINK MB AND LW WILL BE GOING ANYWHERE MAYBE GH DID LOSE VIEWERS BUT MB HAS A HUGE
FAN FOLLOWING AS STEVE BURTON SO I DO NOT SEE THAT H APPENING, BUT I GUESS WE WILL SEE WONT WE?

#OLTL still rocks!!

I agree. They should never have cancelled OLTL

DITTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought at the time it was a very classless move. Way to backpedal, Ingo. That said, I really like his portrayal of Jax and hope he returns. Soon. He has a lot of chemistry with the cast and he is certainly easy on the eyes. Welcome back Jax!

Yes yes and yes.

I think Ingo said what he meant the FIRST time around, and that BLUMBLISH he came up with to JUSTIFY it, just don’t make sense. ” One hospital you can’t kill”. Sometimes people need to own up to what they say and believe.

True, he should just own up to what he said and how he truly feels but I guess he doesn’t want to upset his bosses Carlivati and Valentini or their fans. Everyone seems to think that those two are the best thing ever to happen to soaps. If they truly are the best that soaps have to offer, I will have to stick to watching primetime TV. Thanks but no thanks, rapemance and character-assassinating duo Carlivati and Valentini.

Good point….

I think he did own up to it. Guess we just take what he said differently, and that’s okay.

Frankly, I don’t give a darn.

I like Ingo, as an actor and person, though I just don’t understand how one can legally name their child “Peanut.” Anyway, not my child, not my business. However, I think he is backpedaling with his new statement. At the end of the day, who cares?

I was glad to see him back and I do hope he comes back more often. He still has the chemistry with Laura Wright, that is for sure.

I also like Ingo and want to see him on the GH canvas more, but I must admit, that I do not really buy the reasoning he recently gave for his January tweet. I think that he was bitter with his being let go, and the new regime bringing in some of their OLTL characters, but now that he has been brought back to GH, he is backtracking a bit. I remember his comments quit well, as I was a bit taken back by them when I first read them, because I did not see Ingo making bitter remarks like that. Don’t get me wrong, if this is really the case, I understand, and he is certainly entitled to his feelings both then and now. However he meant that comment, I wish him well, and hope to see more of him on GH. Long live General Hospital and Ingo working on it !!!

I would love to see more of Jax but only with a good, well written storyline. His frustration seems to be in line with what the fans were feeling at the time as well. Things have DRASTICALLY improved on GH since Frank & Ron took over.

At least he knows that soaps are wanted not reality or cooking shows. I agree with others. After the rights are figured out I hope to see AMC and OLTL characters on GH.

does it really matter? I love IR as Jax

It’s an ok explanation. I just want him back and have him compete with Todd for Carly! I like CarJax! I am intriqued with a daliance between Carly and Todd to get her back with Jax. Getting really tired of Carly and Johnny!

How about Carly & Todd ?????????

No. As friends maybe but thats a stretch as well. Unless RC wants to rewrite RHTodd character. If that is the case he might as well left TSJ in the role.

He was right on the money. But I can do without his character especially in reoccuring roles. The Guza regime watered down his character and basically made him a sacrifice to Sonny. He has no story and when he reappears he just rehashes what was done before. Thats boring.
I miss his days as a corporate raider. If he were written in a strong business story that would work but this temporary back and forth between Carly and Sonny is beating a dead horse. Time for GH to move on. If he cant come back for an extended stay with a strong story I say let him keep moving. Soaps need to return to the days when they wrote long arc stories. Today they just toss in characters and momentary plot twists to spike ratings and then they crash. Its lame. (GH has lost over 100K viewers since the toxic water plot ended, lol)
As far as the saturated Talk show market thats a sign of the times. Just like everyone else networks need to tighten their budget belts so Talk shows arent going anywhere. GH 2 hours? Dream on. One Life coming back, dream on again, lol. Leave Melissa Archer where she is. GH is GH not One Life to Live. We’ve got enough fat to trim with Kris Alderson, Erik Valdez, Richard Steinmetz, Kelly Sullivan, and Chad Duel. None of these peeps could act their way out of a paper bag. Can them all and rehire Stuart Damon, John Lindstrom, Lynne Herring, Kin Shriner.
The migration of OLTL charactes must stop. I have no problem with GH hiring actors from any source. But these actors whether they be from OLTL, ATWT,GL, AW or prime time should play new characters tied to GH history not the characters from their former shows. Again this is General Hospital, not a refugee camp for displaced soap characters and story lines. And I know this wont happen because ABC doesnt have the vision, but Id love to see Cartini ( Frank V and Ron C) replaced by Wendy Riche, Felecia Minei Behr and Michael Malone or Claire Labine. GH needs some down to earth producers and writers that respect the dignity and legacy of the medium. Cartini write/produce GH like its an Itchy and Scratchy cartoon. I’ve never seen such ridiculous fluff and embarrassing melodrama attempting to pass as intelligent serial programming in quite a while.

Why do you still watch GH then?

Micheal Malone created the charcter Todd Manning and is a OLTL writer. Frank V was going to follow OLTL with PP online when he was offere the EP of GH at the same time tells you how much he wanted to inherit the mess left after Guza and JFP left. He is doing the best he can to pull GH out of that hole. I used to wwatch GH then I had to tuned out cause GH just plain sucked. Guza and JFP ruined character like Brenda and Jax sacrificed vets like Tony, Bobbie, Laura Scotty Lucy Alan and AJ for three of frons and JFPs favs Sonny, Carly, and Jason which almost destroyed GH thats why they lost fans like me now I am tuning back in cause they want to get rid of that mob element and go back to villians and WSB and OLTL crossovers and thier fans helping GH and ratings. OLTL and GH combined is the future of this soap. GH alone with the same formula it had dream on not going to happen if this soap is going to survive

well personlally i love sonny and jason no matter who is at the helm

have watched maurice benard for 22 ys and steve burton the same
not missed one day even watch it again on soapnet and dvr it also

so you have to support the soap gh if u want it to remain on the air
tony, bobbie, scotty ( who has returned a few times) boring storylinge

lucy gone, alan and aj okay i guess do wish bobbie would return for luke
and lulu as well as laura but things change story lines change and

i guess maurice and steve burton have a huge fan following so thats the way
it is.

have been at daytime emmys seen maurice get out of the limo
and the fans go wild and are crazy about hime
also on the view they commented on him and how popular he is
so sorry but i am a sonny fan

but i do wish and hope you will continue to support gh and the other soaps
on air, but i do feel the mob will be involved so where along the way

I respect your opinion but I still feel that they can still go and GH will survive. In fact I think it will continue to get better. The ones I mentioned are just a few that were let go Bobbie/Jackie was rudely dimissed btw. All to give those three more airtime and turn GH into the “godfather” tv series as MB as a Al Pacino. They are overexposed and they have rehashed mob s/ls to death=Boring! That is way it almost tanked in fact it was in last place! Ratings = Viewing and GH wasn’t being viewed with that trio. The only reason they won an emmy was Luke’s intervention nothing to do with those three.I was could not watch my soap GH anymore cause it wasnt GH anymore imo. But I have to thank them cause I started to watch OLTL! The soap that out of the three should have been left on the air imo. I will not support GH if they stay with the same formula. Why would I support a show that I left if the same reasons still remain. JMO. Thanks

How about Carly & Todd ?????????

No. As friends maybe but thats a stretch as well. Unless RC wants to rewrite RHTodd character. If that is the case he might as well left TSJ in the role.
——————————————————————————————————————-I don’t follow you. I’m not agreeing or disagreeing, I just DON’T follow you. What do you mean by ” Unless RC wants to rewrite RHTodd character “, AND….. ” If that is the case he might as well left TSJ in the role. ” I just want to understand what U mean by BOTH these statements.

1loveabcsoaps….There is alot of history here with both of these characters/actors and how they played Todd. I asume U watched OLTL and the character of Todd fromthe beginning 1993 that Rogers Todd is a rapist. Not only did he lead the gang rape on Marty but he tried again and that where he got his scar from Luna. Then he terrorized Nora blaming her for sending him to jail for the rape. Its is known behind the scenes that Roger was very uncomfrontable with turning his character into a romantic lead or a “good guy” because fans on the streey where sayin alledgly “rape me” to him so he always fought that his character never be redeemed and tortured for what he did. even when TBTB wanted th match him with his victim Marty like the next Luke and Laura he left the show over it. They say he only agreed to Blair pairing only. Never to be confrontable with going women to women and have his character to really have great difficulty forming relationships with trust or love because he was his wrost enemy. Tea he paid her to marry him and she fell for him but he was unable to “sleep” with her . He saw her as a poscession and really abuse her. It was not pretty at all. He actually punched her in the face knocked her out era of 1997. He slpet with her once but that s/l was wierd and out of character and the moment he did he regretted it and paddled back to Blair. He left the show soon after that. It was said he was tired of playing Todd. Anyways TSJ took over the role and turned it into his own doing very non Todd things still doing very bad stuff like Knocking pregStar down the stairs something RHTodd would never do to Star and having a relationship with Marty and other women. Something when RHTodd came back as Todd said he would never do and said why didnt you know then it wasnt me?? Anyways TSJ became his brother Victor. RC wrote that to explain thetwo Todds story. Victor was not the rapist so he was able to form relationships and make love to women with ease (Tea says this to RHTodd) whereas RHTodd was not. So U see what I am saying when they might as well left TSJ in the role if they are going to rewrite RHTodd?

I get what you’re saying and these are some very astute observations. But to me they are prime examples of why I dont like Cartini. They always attempt to revisit history with the intent of respinning it. That is ambitious, but its also dangerous in a medium where fans watch these stories for decades. It can work but it has to be done with care, thought and respect. To me Cartini always do it to create sensational stories but they dont take the proper care to not insult the audience that watched the original story.
In the final analysis of the tale of 2 Todds, they just wanted an excuse to bring RH back to the role of Todd to spike ratings. They had to wipe out a decade of story and marginalize an actor who had become enormously popular in the role ( TSJ). In the end they ended up alienating tons of fans and just kicking a gifted actor to the curb all for ratings.
It’s all too haphazard for me. Of course I watched the story to see how it would play out because I was a huge fan of RH in the beginning. But I found the entire affair to be convoluted and rather silly in the end. It was just good to see RH again.

What you all said. Maybe Ingo meant what so many thought he did when he tweeted it in January, but I would think that he definitely means what he says now.
Tweeting your instant thoughts can get a bit dicey at times.

Whatever, the past is that past, and I’d love to see him back on GH full time and in a great storyline. The guy has talent and the character is just as good.

Thought he was mad at OLTL people coming aboard saying that.
Thats how it comes across to me.

I agree with Ingo and want to see him back on GH.

I had the ultimate pleasure of meeting Ingo at one of his last fan events in NY back in October 2011. Yes, we would all love to have ‘Jax’ back on the canvas full time, myself included. He has been my favorite guy since ‘Lois’ burst open his office doors and he was standing there playing that arcade game where he was shooting at the ducks! With that said…. when Ingo was talking to us about his leaving the show, selling the LA home and moving full time to Hawaii with the family, he was beyond thrilled. His heart is in Hawaii and he was SO happy to be raising the family there, as he said, at least for a few years. He said he would love to come in and out when story line dictated. I feel some ‘Jax’ is better than no ‘Jax’. And all that really matters is that he’s really happy with the family in Hawaii.

He meant what he said and although I do like Jasper Jax, I do not like him. He had no idea what he was getting when he made that comment and the show is the best on ABC or any other network for that matter. Y&R is in the toilet and I just cannot hardly wait every day to see my show. Love it.

Hell yeah we want Ingo! With Steve leaving we need him! Easy on the eyes. Jax and Carly should get back together. Sorry Johnny!!

I would love to see Jax come back to GH full time! He and Carly make a great couple! Tired of seeing Carly with Johnny. Would be great to see Jax fight for Carly and his marriage!

I Love, Love Ingo and enjoyed his visit tremendously. Actually, I love ll GH Australians. And I didn’t care what Ingo tweeted in Jan, That was old. I hope he come back again, and again but now, I hope they bring back the original Aussie Tristan Rogers. How come everybody visit has been longer than his? He was only around for 4 freaking days, And Robert Scorpio is legendary and led GH through out the 80s when Luke/.Laura had left the building. It’s time to bring him back and for a long stay.

Agree Robert Scorpio is Legendary he needs to come back and fight for Anna especially now that the original Duke is back and has Robin!

I certainly love Ingo/Jax on Gen Hospital and would be open to his returning to Port Charles whenever the soap looks like he is needed. Would love to see him and Carly reunited. I love Johnny but think he should be with someone else – maybe one of the new nurses. Also find Jax and Sonny’s ongoing “feuds and dislikes” very interesting.

If his character was as sassy as he is in real life, the show would be much better off.

Bring on the sassiness.

i believe him, and he totally needs to return, those oltl guy got nothing on him.

Yes, it’s wrong that he’s not on GH all of the time rather than “visits.” He’s just one of the people of Port Charles – and having him gone is wrong on lots of levels. They’ve made huge improvements with the show – adding him as a ‘keeper’ again would be appropriate and another right action to take.

Ingo is off-the-charts smoldering…. I agree with above posts… he has a lot of good energy. That classic leading man stats. So natural, with Carly. I love them. GH… you need to re-hire Jax… full-time.

Yes bring him back and put him and carly back together,LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! re-hire Ingo Rademcher.

Re- hire Ingo Rademacher missing the a

I adore Ingo and his character Jax is why I have watched GH for so long. I want Jax back on GH. He is needed. Not as a door mat for Carly but the character that I fell in love with. The charming, loving, best man on the show character. The strong corporate raider, business man that loves his family more than anything. GH needs this kind of character. Jax/Ingo should have never been off of GH. Happily I think the new regime has finally seen that Jax is needed.

Love Jax but Ingo seems to be doing a bit of backpedaling after biting the hand that feeds.

I have NO problem with what he said 10 months ago. It IS what many people were thinking.
Love Ingo, Love Jax, Love GH. Want them all to stay! 🙂

Hell yeah I agree. That is what ABC has done, they have left “One hospital to kill”. I totally get what he said, he is right and ABC sucks. Aside from GH I watch Fox now!

i agree tiffany ABC sucks only watch GH no prime time shows at all

but will watch kelly aka sam on dwts until she gets booted offf

but all the dwts need remember she was the 1st winner of the 1st season
and abc never points that out i guess cause she is on a soap opera
all they support is the athletes and the olympic or gold medal winners which is
fine but you would thinkbut they would support her being on a ABC show
and the 1st time winner dont you think? but i guess soap opera are not
a big selling point to the promos for abc

so we all soap fans need to vote and support kelly and hope all soap fans do

Sometimes people say things they don’t mean out of hurt and anger. We’re only human and we make mistakes. I certainly won’t hold it against him.
It’s clear that he loves GH and its fans and he seems to love playing Jax. That’s all I need to know 🙂

Sign him to a contract. He makes Carly way more likable. With Steve Burton leaving there will be a huge void on the show

I really enjoyed Ingo’s recent return and I would very much like to see him back on the GH canvas for good.

Calling Barbara T out in cyber space…..

Calling Barbara T out in Cyber space…..

Hope you are ok.

I think that his appearance was too short , if it were not for the re-mix they have a created, we may not have any soaps, and the storylines are now where you do not want to miss a day.

Bring Jax back full-time. But let him be more like the “old” Jax, cocky, funny, adventurous, great businessman, as well as a loyal family guy. Plus, there is going to have to be a new, major family dynasty since the Quartermaines are falling on hard times. I like him with Carly way better than Johnny. The Johnny/Carly matchup never did it for me unless Johnny is designated “cougar” bait on GH.

YES, I would love to see Jax on the show full time but at least half time . he is one reason I watch the show. Love the new stories but it needs Jax and Carly.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

on

By

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
