Sonny & Will's First Official Kiss on Days of our Lives – Watch the Video!

By Michael Fairman

This Friday is the long, long awaited day that Salem’s Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Will (Chandler Massey)  finally have their first official lip-lock! And to tease us, TV Guide has released exclusively this first look at what precipitates the kiss, and then the beginning of the make-out scene!

This now will apparently signal that the long-awaited romance is officially also moving forward, but according to TVG, fans will have to wait closer to November sweeps to see anything close to the guys hitting the sheets together, and yes, there is that one big elephant in the room, that we all, in true soap fashion, is going to come back and bite Will!  He slept with his ex-galfriend, Gabi (Camila Banus)!

This week Michael Fairman chatted with Freddie Smith for a new feature for Frontiers LA, where the talented star talked about the scenes where his mother Adrienne disapproved of Will, which helps lead to this smooch.  In addition, Freddie reveals where things may go in the coming months with Sonny and Will.  So make sure to check it out here!

And now after the jump, the clip of Sonny and Will’s first “kiss”!  Let us know what you think?

This is such a turn-on to see. I love “WilSon” together. My fave couple since ATWT’s Nuke (Noah+Luke) and Ruke (Reid+Luke). I’m so loving their budding relationship. As a gay man, it’s nice to see such a beautiful story be written with such reality and respect. Thank you DAYS for introducing your LGBT-friendly storyline!

Please, oh, please! Do not go down the well-worn storyline path of Gabi discovering she is pregnant. there are far more interesting obstacles to this romance than that cliched chapter.

Will’s story has been written so well, and the actors here are very good. This plot is one of the reasons I came over to Salem when ATWT, AMC and OLTL left the airwaves. I keep up with all four remaining daytime dramas, but DAYS is the last one in which I became invested. Stories with humanity, please! … not so much silly unfocused spy intrigue.

I agree! Less “big event” tactics and more character driven stories are what make DAYS so special at its heart, especially for stories like this one.

As for the Gabi huccup, I’m hoping that it will be Will sleeping with her itself will create a hurdle for Wilson, and not a pregnancy. Though I wish they didn’t take this route in the first place, if the tension is *just* that Will had sex with Gabi, I’ll live. But if Gabi gets pregnant as a result, I think DAYS will be very sorry.

And to that kiss, muy caliente! Sweet and gentle but passionate. More, more!

Totally agree with about the Gabi stuff. A hurdle is okay, it’s drama and it keeps everyone onscreen. A pregnancy? Overdone and would ruin the dynamics of this relationship and lose viewership most likely!

I agree. Gabi being pregnant will ruin the show’s ratings even more/

Sorry but this brought tears to my eyes! I am so happy and they are so cute and sweet together.

I agree!!! Very, very, very touching!!! My favorite storyline right now.

That kiss is amazing! The chemistry there between Will and Sonny is unbelievable. I hope the show allows them to have a real romance with a real love scene. I am encourage with what Camila and Blake said. Crossing fingers and toes.

I love Sonny & Will together!!! they have mad chemistry. I’ll even forgive Chandler for looking on the verge of laughing in a lof ot his scenes — he’s still so frigging adorable and talented! Hope Days gives us more and please, please don’t have Gabi pop up preggers. PLEASE!

They really do have a lot of chemistry. I really hope they are endgame.

Yeah, I hope Days doesn’t pull the rug out from under this couple. These two light up the screen! Love both actors involved and I like the outside forces if it means seeing more of Justin & Adrienne too (even if I disagree with everything Adrienne says!) This is a promising and original story for a change.

I love this so much! One of my two favorite couples, the other being EJole.

Ejole is garbage don’t even speak about this please !

EJami is garbage. Look at everything they did to each other. EJole is the best.

Any love is good love.

https://wherethebearsare.tv/

it was very tender… but i do not watch “days”…. it me, oliver fish will always be the best gay soap character.

The station I watch DOOL on runs shows a day ahead of NBC, so I this show today so it is not news for me. I must credit DOOL

Sorry I hit the worng computer key before I finished my thought and it submit my comment before I was ready. I must credit DOOL for writing an intelligent and realistic storyline for believeable gay characters. Unfortunely I think Gabi will end up with child, it may be predictible but I don’t see Sonny being too upset at Will for sleeping with Gabi when they were not together yet. It wasn’t cheating, so the obstacle will have to be something bigger, so either pregrancy or social disease- take your pick-this is soap opera after all

Although the comments here and on other boards all indicate that Will and Sony SL on DOOL is nice and well portrayed; I am afraid to start viewing this SL. Gay and lesbian SLs mostly end up in disaster; at least I can’t think of a single American show where the gay or lesbain SL ended on a happy note. It was a total debacle and waste of precious invested time when my all time favorite gay Sls Luke and Reid, and Luke and Noah bit the dust in the end on ATWT. Even after two years, I am still mad and angry at Chris Goutman and Jean Passanante for their horrendous travesty towards the 3 gay characters while giving every straight couple their HEA. May be I am not geared and wired for unhappy endings of any kind. So, if DOOL does decide to go against the norm and for once give a gay SL a HEA, then I will watch the Will and Sony SL once its completed in its entirety. I know that watching a rewatch is not as exciting as watching as and when it airs, but it is a far better option than waste of time on something where there is no certainty.

Finally!

That is about as deep and loving as it gets. And I love the way Will pulls Sonny in. They have incredible chemistry. Keep it up, DOOL!!!

The kiss is sweet and long overdue. I have checked some of WilSon’s story over the past year but I haven’t let myself get too invested since it seems like these shows always disappoint more often than not. I am a big Nuke fan and I sincerely hope Days gives fans what they want to see. And no one wants to see Gabi pregnant! That would kill the positve momentum of this story IMO.

This was a really sweet scene. Looking forward to more.

It’s nice that Sonny is so understanding and patient … I hope this relationship works out. If Gabi is pregnant, ugh.

I look forward to the day when scenes like this aren’t “news” but an everyday occurrence. We’ve come such a long way from MELROSE PLACE camera pull aways and the “controversial” THIRTYSOMETHING bed scene – but it’s 2012 and I’m glad to see that DAYS is finally catching up with the rest of TV (and the world).

I cannot watch another soap opera no matter how cute the gay boys are. As a Luke and Noah fan, once was enough pain and trauma. But I’m happy that there are gay characters on daytime tv. Everyone should be positively represented. I just hope DAYS does the story justice.

Agree 100%. After Luke and Reid, and Luke and Noah debacle on ATWT; I would not invest my precious time on something which is usually known to end in disaster in American shows and movies.

I THINK THIS IS DISGUSTING! PROMOTING GAYNESS ON DAYTIME TV?? EWW! DEFINITELY DONE WITH DAYS FOR THIS REASON. IT’S GROSS AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT! WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO PROMOTING CHRISTIANITY??

It is because of such intolerance that this world is full of turmoil. I am a staunch and practicing Christian and straight, but I strongly believe that each human on this earth is important and has a right to live the way he or she choses to. My gay friends have never come in the way of my faith. If you do not want to watch, that is your choice, but please don’t throw stones on people in the name of religion. For the record, Christians are no saints; a very large number of them divorce, cheat, are unfaithful and play games at the drop of a hat. Now you would not want to promote those on TV, would you?

I didnt enjoy the kiss between the boys at all,but Im not into that kinda thing.

I think it might have been the intent to have Gabi pregnant at some point but, as WilSon is so well-liked that may end up being one of those things that kind of disappears. Like the story of Victor helping to steal Maggie’s eggs for Daniel’s mother. And when it was finally resolved, it was real quick with almost no effect on Maggie and Victor’s relationship, not for any length of time. And the thing with Adrienne’s disapproval of Will. That lasted for all of a week and now she couldn’t be happier for both of the boys. I do not think Will and Gabi are the “mystery duo” who gets married – in fact, if Gabi is pregnant I think it’s going to end up being Nick’s as I think Nick and Gabi are going to get together. If the Will and Gabi “secret’ keeps going I think that’s going to just be the fact that they slept together. Will and Sonny are the best couple on the show. there hasn’t been one like this that was a romance with music only played for their scenes (the solo guitar) since Steve and Kayla from way back when and “If your heart comes out tongiht.” I really hope the writers don’t screw up this relationship for Will and Sonny.

It’s about time!

Wilson are adorable.
