In case you missed last night’s first episode of Dancing with the Stars All-Stars, season one winner and General Hospital favorite, Kelly Monaco delivered an extremely sexy and well-executed performance of the Cha-Cha, a dance she never had to do back in season one!

Along with her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, the duo scored a 21.5 and landed in the middle of the pack after the first round of scoring for the night from the judges.  However, each of the judges praised Kelly while also offering a few pointers:   “Wham, bam, thank you, ma’am!” Bruno yelled. “Apolo Anton Ohno isn’t the only who has gotten a whole lot sexier,” Carrie Ann stated.  “You weren’t this good in Season 1,” was said by straight shooter and the hardest judge to please, Len Goodman.

And the end of the night it was Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke at the top of the leaderboard with 24.5, followed by Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd with 24.  Next, was Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel with 22.5, followed by Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough with 22 and also Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff with 22.   The came Kelly and Val with 21.5, along with Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya, and Helio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower.

Who do you think did the best performance of the night? Who should be booted off on tonight’s first Results Show?  Let us know!

oh, I don’t even know why shy (palin) was picked to be on this Champion show… they should have had people who lost , but should have moved forward on that compettion, like Brandy. She was far better.

I thought the scores were really low last night – for the better dancers that is — like Emmett. Kelly was very good, but Emmett was better… but I totally thought she was gonig to lose her little outfit there! ha!

Loved Kelly and Val’s performance…the chemistry between them is on fire! I so think that Kelly deserved better scores from the judges, but based on everything I see and know about her, she will come back more determined and rock it even harder next week. You Go Kelly! All your soap fans are rooting for you…Vote #TeamVally

I thought the scores were as expected. They can’t make them too high the first few weeks. I did NOT think Emmitt deserved to be top dog though. Giles deserved that! He was robbed the last time, so he is my pick to win. Kelly in second place would be nice.

I liked almost all of the returning dancers the first time around, but Kelly Monaco definitely is my favorite. I watched this show from day one and was ecstatic when she won that first trophy. Hoping she will do it again. (and maybe THEN John (the whiner-poor sport) O’Hurley will get over his loss)

General Hospital and ‘H.R. Pufnstuf’s’ Billie Hayes Dead at 96

She was one-of-a-kind, and now actress Billie Hayes has passed away at the age of 96.  Hayes’ family announced her death from natural causes on April 29th at Cedar-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

Hayes was best-known for her unforgettable role as Witchiepoo on the 1969-70 Saturday morning live-action children’s classic H.R. Pufnstuf from Sid and Marty Kroft.

However, daytime fans will remember that then General Hospital executive producer, Gloria Monty, hired Hayes to play the recurring role of the street-smart international spy, Brighton O’Reilly, back in the 80’s series hey day.

GH’s Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Hayes on Monday sharing; “My dear wonderful Billie Hayes has died. Sadly I only got to work with her on GH but it was a magical relationship. Right away Gloria Monty saw something unique and ran with it. I cannot tell you how her passing saddens me.”

In story, Brighton O’Reilly was shot and killed by Victor Cassadine back in 1981. Billie told Soap Opera Digest back in 2003 about her time as an agent on GH, and her exit from the series: “I asked Gloria why she killed me off, and Gloria said, ‘To tell you the truth, Billie, we really hemmed and hawed at it. But I decided to do it for selfish reasons. I knew if I killed O’Reilly there’d be such an abundance of sympathy and love for Scorpio that his stock would go up. And he’s my new leading man!’ I understand why Gloria knocked me off, but I would have loved to have gone on with it because I feel it could have been developed into a fascinating character.”

Sid and Marty Kroft also took to Twitter and expressed:  “Margaret Hamilton (Wizard of Oz) once told us that Billie Hayes was “one of the best witches ever” We couldn’t agree more. Rest in Peace dear friend.”

Billie’s career spanned decades including Broadway, television, motion pictures and voice-over work. In addition, she founded the Los Angeles-based animal rescue nonprofit organization Pet Hope, a cause she had championed since adopting a puppy abandoned in the basement of Broadway’s St. James Theatre during the run of Lil’ Abner in which she was featured in the role of Mammy Yokum.
